- the following embodiments are examples for explaining the present invention, and are not intended to limit the present invention to the following contents.
- the present invention can be appropriately modified and carried out within the scope of the gist thereof.
- the content of each component shall be the mass% (mass percentage) of the total weight of the glass in the oxide conversion composition.
- the oxide-equivalent composition referred to here is based on the assumption that the oxides, composite salts, etc. used as raw materials for the glass constituents of the present embodiment are all decomposed at the time of melting and changed into oxides. It is a composition in which each component contained in a glass is described, with the total mass being 100% by mass.
- the expression that the Q content is "0 to N%" is an expression including the case where the Q component is not contained and the case where the Q component is more than 0% and N% or less.
- the expression "does not contain the Q component” means that the Q component is substantially not contained, and means that the content of this constituent component is about the impurity level or less. Below the impurity level means, for example, less than 0.01%.
- devitrification-resistant stability means the resistance of glass to devitrification.
- devitrification means that the transparency of the glass is lost due to crystallization or phase separation that occurs when the temperature of the glass is raised above the glass transition temperature or when the temperature is lowered from the molten state to the liquid phase temperature or lower. It means a phenomenon.
- the optical glass according to this embodiment has a P 2 O 5 content of 20 to 55%, a TiO 2 content of 10 to 40%, an Nb 2 O 5 content of 0 to 30%, and Al 2 O in mass%.

- the rate is 0 to 25%, and the ratio of the total content of BaO to TIO 2 to the content of P 2 O 5 ((BaO + TiO 2 ) / P 2 O 5 ): 0.40 to 1.50.
- Optical glass Optical glass.
- the optical glass according to the present embodiment has a low dispersion (large Abbe number) and can have a high partial dispersion ratio, it is advantageous for aberration correction and a lightweight lens can be realized.
- P 2 O 5 is a component that forms a glass skeleton, improves devitrification stability, and lowers the refractive index and chemical durability. If the content of P 2 O 5 is too low, devitrification tends to occur easily. Further, if the content of P 2 O 5 is too high, the refractive index and chemical durability tend to decrease. From this point of view, the content of P 2 O 5 is 20% or more and 55% or less. The lower limit of this content is preferably 25%, more preferably 30%, and even more preferably 38%. The upper limit of this content is preferably 50%, more preferably 45%, and even more preferably 40%. By setting the content of P 2 O 5 in such a range, it is possible to improve the devitrification resistance stability and improve the chemical durability while increasing the refractive index.
- TiO 2 is a component that raises the refractive index and the partial dispersion ratio and lowers the transmittance. If the content of TiO 2 is too low, the refractive index and partial dispersion ratio tend to decrease. If the content of TiO 2 is too high, the transmittance tends to deteriorate. From this point of view, the content of TiO 2 is 10% or more and 40% or less. The lower limit of this content is preferably 15%, more preferably 17%. The upper limit of this content is preferably 30%, more preferably 28%, and even more preferably 25%. By setting the content of TiO 2 in such a range, high transmittance can be realized without lowering the refractive index and the partial dispersion ratio.
- Nb 2 O 5 is a component that increases the refractive index and dispersion and lowers the transmittance.
- the content of Nb 2 O 5 is 0% or more and 30% or less.
- the lower limit of this content is preferably more than 0%, more preferably 5% or more.
- the upper limit of this content is preferably 25%, more preferably 18%, and even more preferably 10%.
- Al 2 O 3 is a component that improves chemical durability and lowers the partial dispersion ratio and meltability. If the content of Al 2 O 3 is too low, the chemical durability tends to decrease. If the content of Al 2 O 3 is too high, the partial dispersion ratio tends to decrease and the meltability tends to deteriorate. From this point of view, the content of Al 2 O 3 is 0% or more and 2% or less. The lower limit of this content is preferably 1%. The upper limit of this content is preferably 1.6%. By setting the content of Al 2 O 3 in such a range, it is possible to enhance the chemical durability and prevent a decrease in the partial dispersion ratio.
- the content of B 2 O 3 is 0% or more and 10% or less from the viewpoint of high dispersion.
- the lower limit of this content may be more than 0%.
- the upper limit of this content is preferably 6%, more preferably 4%.
- BaO is a component that improves the partial dispersion ratio and lowers the devitrification resistance stability. If the BaO content is too low, the partial dispersion ratio tends to decrease. If the BaO content is too high, the devitrification resistance tends to decrease. From such a viewpoint, the content of BaO is 0% or more and 30% or less. The lower limit of this content is preferably 3%, more preferably 5%, and even more preferably 7%. The upper limit of this content is preferably 25%, more preferably 20%, and even more preferably 15%. By setting the BaO content in such a range, the partial dispersion ratio can be increased and the devitrification resistance can be prevented from deteriorating.
- Bi 2 O 3 is a component that enhances the refractive index and the partial dispersion ratio. If the content of Bi 2 O 3 is too high, the transmittance tends to deteriorate and the dispersion tends to increase. If the content of Bi 2 O 3 is too low, the meltability tends to decrease. From this point of view, the content of Bi 2 O 3 is 0% or more and 30% or less. The lower limit of this content is preferably 2%, more preferably 5%, and even more preferably 10%. The upper limit of this content is preferably 25%, more preferably 20%. By setting the content of Bi 2 O 3 in such a range, the meltability can be enhanced and the increase in dispersion can be prevented.
- Ta 2 O 5 is a component that increases the refractive index and dispersion and lowers the devitrification resistance stability. If the content of Ta 2 O 5 is high, the devitrification resistance tends to deteriorate. From this point of view, the content of Ta 2 O 5 is 0% or more and 20% or less. The lower limit of this content may be more than 0%. The upper limit of this content is preferably 16%, more preferably 10%. More preferably, it does not contain Ta substantially. "Substantially free" means that the component is not contained as a constituent component that affects the properties of the glass composition in excess of the concentration unavoidably contained as an impurity. For example, if the content is about 100 ppm, it is considered that the content is substantially not contained. The optical glass according to the present embodiment is excellent in terms of raw material cost because it can reduce the content of Ta 2 O 5 which is an expensive raw material and can not contain it.
- the content of WO 3 is 0% or more and 25% or less from the viewpoint of transmittance.
- the lower limit of this content may be more than 0%.
- the upper limit of this content is preferably 20%, more preferably 15%, and even more preferably 10%.
- the ratio of the TiO 2 content to the total content of P 2 O 5 and B 2 O 3 and Al 2 O 3 is preferably 0. It is 25 to 0.85.
- the lower limit of this ratio is more preferably 0.30, and more preferably 0.40.
- the upper limit of this ratio is more preferably 0.70, still more preferably 0.60.
- Ratio of the content of TiO 2 to the total content of TiO 2 and Nb 2 O 5 and WO 3 and Bi 2 O 3 and Ta 2 O 5 is preferably 0.25 to 1.00.
- the lower limit of this ratio is more preferably 0.30, and even more preferably 0.40.
- the upper limit of this ratio is more preferably 0.90, still more preferably 0.80.
- the partial dispersion ratio can be increased by setting TIM 2 / (TiO 2 + Nb 2 O 5 + WO 3 + Bi 2 O 3 + Ta 2 O 5 ) in such a range.
- the ratio of the total content of BaO and TiO 2 to the content of P 2 O 5 ((BaO + TiO 2 ) / P 2 O 5 ) is preferably 0.40 to 1.50.
- the lower limit of this ratio is more preferably 0.70.
- the upper limit of this ratio is more preferably 1.10 and even more preferably 0.90.
- the optical glass according to this embodiment has Na 2 O, K 2 O, Li 2 O, ZnO, MgO, CaO, SrO, SiO 2 , ZrO 2 , Sb 2 O 3 , Y 2 O 3 , and La as optional components. It may further contain one or more selected from the group consisting of 2 O 3 and Gd 2 O 3 .
- Na 2 O is a component that improves the meltability and lowers the refractive index. If the Na 2 O content is too low, the meltability tends to decrease. If the Na 2 O content is too high, the refractive index and chemical durability tend to decrease. From this point of view, the Na 2 O content is 0% or more and 30% or less.
