Abstract
본 발명의 금속 검출기는 송신코일과 수신코일을 구비하여 검사 대상물에 포함된 금속 이물질을 검출하기 위한 터널 형태의 검출헤드, 상기 검출헤드를 통과할 수 있도록 검사 대상물을 이송하는 컨베이어, 상기 컨베이어에 의해 상기 검출헤드로 접근하는 검사 대상물의 진행방향에 대한 좌우방향의 치우침 정도를 파악하기 위한 카메라 및 상기 카메라에 의해 파악된 좌우방향의 치우침 정도에 따른 검사 대상물의 검출헤드의 통과 위치를 계산하여, 통과 위치에 기반한 가변된 보상전류를 상기 검출헤드의 송신코일에 인가함으로써, 수신코일의 수신 감도가 검출헤드의 통과 위치에 무관하게 일정하게 유지되도록 제어하는 제어기를 포함할 수 있다.
