例えば、特許文献1には、第1層及び第2層が積層してなる表面シートにおいて、所定のパターンで配された第一圧縮凹部と、第1層からなる隆起部とが形成されており、該隆起部に第二層まで達しない第二圧縮凹部が形成されている、吸収性物品が記載されている。
前記凹凸領域は、第1方向及び該第1方向と直交する第2方向を有し、第2方向の長さよりも第1方向の長さが長い凸部と、第1方向又は第2方向における該凸部間に位置する凹部とをそれぞれ複数有していることが好ましい。
前記凹部は、前記凸部に比して繊維材料の坪量が少ない低坪量部を有していることが好ましい。
前記肌当接シートよりも非肌対向面側に、弾性部材が第1方向に沿って配されていることが好ましい。
図1及び図2には、本発明の吸収性物品の一実施形態である使い捨ておむつ1(以下、単におむつ1ともいう)の基本的な構造が示されている。
おむつ1は、図1及び図2に示すように、液透過性の表面シート12、液不透過性の裏面シート13、及び両シート12,13間に配置された吸収体14を具備する。裏面シート13に関し、液不透過性とは、液難透過性も含む概念であり、裏面シート13が液を全く通さない場合の他、撥水性のシート等からなる場合等も含まれる。表面シート12は、後述するように、肌対向面に凹凸領域P,PSを有するものであるが、図1及び図2では該凹凸領域P,PSの凹凸を省略して図示している。
おむつ1は、展開型の使い捨ておむつであり、背側部Bの両側縁部にファスニングテープ17が設けられており、腹側部Aの外表面に、そのファスニングテープ17を止着するランディングゾーン18が設けられている。
吸収性コア14aは、例えばパルプ繊維等の吸液性繊維の積繊体や、吸液性繊維と吸水性ポリマーとの混合積繊体から構成することができる。吸液性繊維としては、例えば、パルプ繊維、レーヨン繊維、コットン繊維、酢酸セルロース等のセルロース系の親水性繊維が挙げられる。セルロース系の親水性繊維以外に、ポリオレフィン、ポリエステル、ポリアミド等の合成樹脂からなる繊維を界面活性剤等により親水化したものを用いることもできる。
コアラップシート14bとしては、例えば、ティッシュペーパーや透水性の不織布が用いられる。コアラップシート14bは、1枚で吸収性コア14aの全体を包んでいてもよいし、2枚以上を組み合わせて吸収性コア14aを包んでいてもよい。裏面シート13としては、液不透過性又は撥水性の樹脂フィルム、樹脂フィルムと不織布とのラミネートシート等が用いられる。
また、股下部Cにおける脚周りに配される部位には、レッグ部弾性部材16が伸長状態で配されており、その収縮により、着用状態における股下部Cに着用者の脚周りへのフィット性を向上させるレッグギャザーが形成される。
本実施形態において立体ギャザー形成用弾性部材15a及びレッグ部弾性部材16それぞれは、その伸縮方向がおむつ1の縦方向X1と一致している。
本実施形態のおむつ1は、表面シート12が肌当接シート10であり、該表面シート12の肌対向面に凹凸領域を有している。
中央凹凸領域Pは、第2方向Xの長さよりも第1方向Yの長さが長い凸部41を複数有している。以下、この第1方向Yに長い凸部41を、「長凸部41」ともいう。凹凸領域Pは、長凸部41と、第1方向Y及び第2方向Xの何れか一方における長凸部41間に位置する凹部31とをそれぞれ複数有していてもよい。
中央凹凸領域Pには、図3及び図4に示すように、長凸部41が第1方向Y及び第2方向Xに分散した状態に形成されている。
より詳細には、長凸部41は、図3に示すように、千鳥状に配置されており、第2方向Xに沿って複数の長凸部41が並んだ縦方向凸部列R5が、第1方向Yに複数列形成されている。
第1方向Yにおいて隣り合う縦方向凸部列R5どうしは、長凸部41の配置位置が、第2方向Xに半ピッチ分ずれている。第1方向Yにおいて隣り合う縦方向凸部列R5の長凸部41は、該長凸部41の一部分どうしが、第2方向Xにおいて重複するように配されている。
長凸部41の第2方向Xにおける位置が互いに一致する縦方向凸部列R5どうしが、第1方向Yにおいて等間隔で形成されている。斯かる構成により、長凸部41と後述する大凹部31との各大きさを容易に揃え、凹凸領域Pによる肌触り及び通気性をより向上させることができる。
また中央凹凸領域Pにおいては、第1方向Yに沿って複数の長凸部41が並んだ横方向凸部列R6が、第2方向Xに複数列形成されている。長凸部41の第1方向Yにおける位置が互いに一致する横方向凸部列R6どうしが、第2方向Xにおいて等間隔で形成されている。
本実施形態の大凹部31は、長凸部41に比して繊維材料の坪量が少ない低坪量部32を有している。低坪量部32は、長凸部41に比して繊維材料の坪量が少なく且つ該繊維材料が存在する低積繊部であってもよく、繊維材料が存在せず、肌当接シート10を貫通する開孔であってもよい。後述する長凸部41の変形をより容易にする観点から、低坪量部32は、前記開孔であることが好ましい。
本実施形態の大凹部31は、低坪量部32の周縁部にエンボス加工等によって繊維材料が高密度化された高密度部35を有している〔図5(a)の断面図参照〕。これに代えて、大凹部31は、低坪量部32の周縁部に高密度部35を有していなくともよい。図4及び図5の平面図では、高密度部35の図示を省略している。
複数列の縦方向低坪量部列R1は、第1方向Yにおいて等間隔で形成されている。第1方向Yにおける縦方向低坪量部列R1どうしの間隔は、該低坪量部列を形成する低坪量部の大きさが異なっている場合、該縦方向低坪量部列R1を第1方向Yに2等分する中心線どうし間の距離とする。
また中央凹凸領域Pにおいては、第1方向Yに沿って複数の低坪量部32が並んだ横方向低坪量部列R2が、第2方向Xに複数列形成されている。
図4に、第1方向Yにおいて縦方向低坪量部列R1と縦方向凸部列R5とが重なる領域を符号fで示す。
また、第1方向Yに隣り合う縦方向凹凸列R10どうしは、長凸部41の配置位置及び大凹部31の配置位置それぞれが、第2方向Xに半ピッチ分ずれている。
本実施形態のおむつ1は、ウエストフラップ部WFにおいて中央凹凸領域Pとウエスト弾性部材19とが重なっている。
このように、本実施形態のおむつ1では、長凸部41を部分的に変形させることで、長凸部41による肌触りを損なうことなく、弾性部材19の収縮によって凸部全体が潰れることを効果的に抑制することができる。これにより、中央凹凸領域Pにおいて長凸部41の凸形状が良好に維持されるので、着用者の肌に肌当接シート10が密着することが抑制されるとともに、着用状態におけるおむつ1内の蒸れも抑制されて、優れた通気性が奏される。
肌触り及び通気性をより向上させる観点から、長凸部41は、弾性部材19の収縮によって内折れが生じ、該弾性部材19の伸長により内折れ前の状態に戻ることが好ましい。
本実施形態において、内折れ部aは、低坪量部32よりも肌対向面側に位置している。また、弾性部材19は、低坪量部32よりも非肌対向面側に位置している。
展開且つ伸長状態のおむつから、凹凸領域Pと重なる位置に配された弾性部材であって、該弾性部材において伸縮性を発現している領域を、その伸縮方向に50mm切り出す。この切り出したサンプル片を、テンシロン引張試験機(ORIENTEC社製「RTC-1210A」)における一対のチャックに挟む。このときのチャック間距離は10mmとする。次いで、50mm/minの速度でチャック間の距離が40mmとなるまでサンプル片を伸長させた後、該チャック間の距離を38mmまで戻したときの引張り荷重(cN/10mm)を測定する。斯かる測定を3回繰り返し、これらの平均(チャック間の距離を38mmまで戻したときの引張り荷重の平均)を伸長応力(cN/10mm)とする。
低坪量部32における繊維材料の坪量は、長凸部41における繊維材料の坪量に対して、好ましくは10%以下、より好ましくは20%以下である。
低坪量部32における繊維材料の坪量は、好ましくは30g/m2以下、より好ましくは20g/m2以下である。
また、谷部vをより形成し易くする観点から、長凸部41は、肌当接シート10の構成繊維が第1方向Yに沿って配向した部分を有していることが好ましい。当該第1方向Yに沿って配向した部分は、低坪量部32を圧縮する力、即ち第1方向Yに収縮する力を受け易いので、内折れ部aにおける谷部vを形成し易い。
内折れ部aをより容易に形成させる観点から、長凸部41は、肌当接シート10の構成繊維が第1方向Yに沿って配向した部分と、該第1方向Yに沿って配向した部分の第1方向Yの両側それぞれに該構成繊維が第2方向Xに沿って配向した部分とを有していることが好ましい。

第1方向Yにおける長凸部41の長さL1は、同方向Yにおける長凸部41の最大長さである(図4参照)。
また、前記H1は、肌当接シート10に0.05kPaの荷重を加えた状態で、厚み測定器を用いて測定する。厚み測定器としては、例えばレーザー変位計(KEYENCE社製、LK-080)を用いることができる。
第1方向Yにおける長凸部41の長さをL1(図4参照)とし、第1方向Yにおける内折れ部aの長さをL10〔図5(b)参照〕としたとき、L1に対するL10の比率であるL10/L1は、好ましくは0.2以上、より好ましくは0.3以上であり、また好ましくは0.8以下、より好ましくは0.7以下であり、また好ましくは0.2以上0.8以下、より好ましくは0.3以上0.7以下である。第1方向Yにおける内折れ部aの長さL10は、内折れした長凸部41における谷部vの第1方向Yに沿う最大長さである〔図5(b)参照〕。
後述する第3及び第4実施形態のように、長凸部41が第1方向Yに沿って内折れ部aを複数有している場合は、第1方向Yにおける内折れ部aの長さL10は、第1方向Yにおける複数の内折れ部aの長さの総和とする。例えば、第3実施形態のように、1個の長凸部41が、2個の内折れ部a1,a2を有している場合、第1方向Yにおける内折れ部の長さL10は、該2個の内折れ部a1,a2の第1方向Yにおける長さの合計である。
第1方向Yにおける長凸部41の長さL1(図4参照)は、好ましくは4.0mm以上、より好ましくは6.0mm以上であり、また好ましくは35.0mm以下、より好ましくは25.0mm以下であり、また好ましくは4.0mm以上35.0mm以下、より好ましくは6.0mm以上25.0mm以下である。
第2方向Xにおける長凸部41の長さL2(図4参照)は、好ましくは2.0mm以上、より好ましくは3.0mm以上であり、また好ましくは7.0mm以下、より好ましくは5.0mm以下であり、また好ましくは2.0mm以上7.0mm以下、より好ましくは3.0mm以上5.0mm以下である。
長凸部41の高さH1〔図5(a)参照〕は、好ましくは0.5mm以上、より好ましくは0.8mm以上であり、また好ましくは4.0mm以下、より好ましくは3.0mm以下であり、また好ましくは0.5mm以上4.0mm以下、より好ましくは0.8mm以上3.0mm以下である。
第2方向Xにおける低坪量部32の長さL5(図4参照)は、好ましくは0.8mm以上、より好ましくは1.0mm以上であり、また好ましくは6.0mm以下、より好ましくは4.0mm以下であり、また好ましくは0.8mm以上6.0mm以下、より好ましくは1.0mm以上4.0mm以下である。
本実施形態の長凸部41は、第1方向Yに伸縮性を発現する弾性部材が収縮しても、第2方向Xにおいて小凹部33間に挟まれた部分に内折れは生じない。このように、中央凹凸領域Pは、長凸部41の内折れに寄与しない凹部33を有していてもよい。
長凸部41の内折れに寄与しない凹部33としては、例えば、第1方向Yにおける長さが0.5mm未満である凹部や、低坪量部を有さず、エンボス加工等の圧密化によって形成された凹部等が挙げられる。
コア低坪量部14cは、吸収性コア14aにおける該コア低坪量部14c以外の部分に比して該吸収性コア14aの形成材料の坪量が少なく且つ該形成材料が存在する低積繊部であってもよく、形成材料が存在せず、吸収性コア14aを貫通する貫通部であってもよい。
上記と同様の観点から、コア低坪量部14cが低積繊部である場合、コア低坪量部14cにおける吸収性材料の坪量は、好ましくは0g/m2超、より好ましくは40g/m2以上であり、また好ましくは500g/m2以下、より好ましくは400g/m2以下であり、また好ましくは0g/m2超500g/m2以下、より好ましくは40g/m2以上400g/m2以下である。
図8に示す実施形態では、長凸部41の第1方向Y、弾性部材19の延在方向、及びコア低坪量部14cの延在方向が、おむつの縦方向X1と一致している。このように、前記凹凸領域Pにおける長凸部41の第1方向Yと、コア低坪量部14cの延在方向とが一致していると、肌当接シート10のフィット性をより向上できる点で好ましい。
図8に示す実施形態において、縦方向X1に沿って伸縮可能な弾性部材と、内折れ可能な長凸部41を有する凹凸領域Pとが、縦方向X1におけるおむつ1の中央部で重なっていることが好ましく、股下部Cで重なっていることがより好ましい。斯かる構成により、肌当接シート10と着用者の肌との密着をより効果的に抑制し、吸収体14に吸収された尿等の排泄物に起因する蒸れや、吸収体14に一旦吸収された液が着用者の体圧等の影響で表面シート12側に移行する、いわゆる液戻りをより抑制することができる。
サイド凹凸領域PSにおける凸部47に内折れが生じる場合、上述した中央凹凸領域Pについての説明が適宜適用される。
展開状態にしたおむつ1を第1方向Yに沿って設計寸法(弾性部材の影響を一切排除した状態で平面状に広げたときの寸法と同じ)となるまで広げ、該おむつ1の肌当接シート10に油性ペンを用いて、第1方向Yに一定間隔L0(例:100mm)をあけて2つの印を付ける。次いで、おむつ1から肌当接シート10を取り出し、該シート10における2つの印間の距離が前記の一定間隔L0の長さとなるまで、第1方向Yに肌当接シート10を伸長させる。この状態を「第1方向Yに沿う伸長状態」とする。
第1方向Yに沿う伸長状態においてこの複合シート10aは、第2シート22により形成された面、即ち非肌対向面が平坦である。斯かる複合シート10aでは、長凸部41の内部が中空であり、且つ第1シート21と第2シート22との二層構造であるので、低坪量部32が圧縮する力が第1シート21に集中し易く、第1シート21により形成される長凸部41に内折れが生じ易い。
第3実施形態の肌当接シート10bは、図10に示すように、長凸部41が千鳥状に配されており、第2方向Xにおける長凸部41間に、4個の低坪量部32aを有する凹部31aが形成されている。この長凸部41と凹部31aとが第2方向Xに沿って交互に配された縦方向凹凸列R11が、第1方向Yに沿って複数列形成されている。
第3実施形態において第1方向Yに隣り合う縦方向凹凸列R11どうしは、長凸部41の配置位置及び凹部31aの配置位置それぞれが、第2方向Xに半ピッチ分ずれている。
また、第1方向Yにおける長凸部41間に、第2方向Xに沿って並んだ2個の低坪量部32a(一対の低坪量部32a,32a)が2組配されており、これら4個の低坪量部32aと長凸部41とが第2方向Xに沿って交互に並んでいる。
縦方向凹凸列R11は、第2方向Xに沿って間欠的に並んだ複数の長凸部41からなる長凸部列R4と、該長凸部41間において第2方向Xに並んだ一対の低坪量部32a,32aが同方向Xに沿って間欠的に並んだ2列の低坪量部列R3とから構成されている。
第3実施形態では、縦方向凹凸列R11において各長凸部41が、第1方向Yに並ぶ2個の低坪量部32aそれぞれと同第1方向Yに重なった領域f1,f2を有している。換言すると、長凸部41は、第1方向Yにおいて低坪量部32aと重なった領域を2箇所有している。長凸部41において、これら低坪量部32a,32aと第1方向Yに重なる領域f1,f2では、弾性部材19の収縮によって優先的に内折れが生じる。即ち第3実施形態の長凸部41は、内折れ部a1,a2を第1方向Yに沿って複数有しており、第1方向Yに伸縮性を発現する弾性部材の収縮によって、複数の内折れ部a1,a2それぞれにおいて内折れが生じる。
第4実施形態の肌当接シート10cは、図11に示すように、長凸部41が千鳥状に配されており、第2方向Xにおける長凸部41間に、四角形の大低坪量部32bと、該大低坪量部32bの略対角方向外側に位置する4個の小低坪量部32cとを有する凹部31bが形成されている。この長凸部41と凹部31bとが第2方向Xに沿って交互に配された縦方向凹凸列R13が、第1方向Yに沿って複数列形成されている。
第4実施形態において第1方向Yに隣り合う縦方向凹凸列R13どうしは、長凸部41の配置位置及び凹部31bの配置位置それぞれが、第2方向Xに半ピッチ分ずれている。
縦方向凹凸列R13において、大低坪量部32bと長凸部41とが第2方向Xに沿って交互に並んでいる。
また、大低坪量部32bの第1方向Y両側それぞれに配された2個の小低坪量部32cが第2方向Xに沿って並んでおり、これら2個の低坪量部32cと長凸部41とが第2方向Xに沿って交互に並んでいる。
縦方向凹凸列R13は、第2方向Xに沿って間欠的に並んだ複数の長凸部41からなる長凸部列R8と、該長凸部41間において第2方向Xに並んだ一対の小低坪量部32c,32cが同方向Xに沿って間欠的に並んだ2列の低坪量部列R7と、第2方向Xに沿って間欠的に並んだ大低坪量部列R9とから構成されている。
第4実施形態では、縦方向凹凸列R13において各長凸部41が、第1方向Yにおいて、大低坪量部32bと第1方向Yに重なった領域f4、及び2個の小低坪量部32cと同第1方向Yに重なった領域f3,f5の3箇所を有している。これら3箇所の領域f3,f4,f5では、第3実施形態と同様に、弾性部材19の収縮によって優先的に内折れが生じる。即ち第4実施形態の長凸部41は、内折れ部a3,a4,a5を第1方向Yに沿って3箇所有しており、第1方向Yに伸縮性を発現する弾性部材の収縮によって、これら3箇所の内折れ部a3,a4,a5それぞれにおいて内折れが生じる。
第5実施形態の肌当接シート10dは、図12に示すように、肌対向面が畝溝形状になっている。具体的には、第1方向Yに延びる畝部を形成する連続凸部41aと、該連続凸部41aと同方向に延びる溝部を形成する連続凹部31dとが、第2方向Xに沿って交互に配置されている。斯かる肌当接シート10dの肌対向面は、連続凸部41a及び連続凹部31dの延びる方向と直交する方向で見たときに、波形の凹凸形状になっている(図示せず)。
第5実施形態における連続凹部31dは、第1方向Yに沿って複数の低坪量部32を間欠的に有しており、第2方向Xに隣り合う連続凹部31dにおける低坪量部32の配置位置が第1方向Yにおいて一致している。即ち、連続凸部41aと連続凹部31dの低坪量部32とが第2方向Xに沿って交互に並んだ縦方向凹凸列R15が、第1方向Yに沿って複数列形成されている。
第5実施形態では、第2方向Xに沿って並ぶ縦方向凹凸列R15において各連続凸部41aが、低坪量部32と同第1方向Yに重なった領域f9を複数箇所有している。これら複数箇所の領域f9では、第3実施形態と同様に、弾性部材19の収縮によって優先的に内折れが生じる。即ち第5実施形態の長凸部41は、内折れ部a9を第1方向Yに沿って複数有しており、第1方向Yに伸縮性を発現する弾性部材の収縮によって、複数の内折れ部a9それぞれにおいて内折れが生じる。
また、第1方向Yにおける内折れ部a9の長さの総和L10は、該連続凸部41aを単位面積(30mm四方)当りの凸部と仮定したとき、該単位面積当たりの凸部に存在する内折れ部a9の第1方向Yにおける長さの総和とする。斯かる内折れ部a9の第1方向Yにおける長さの総和L10は、任意に選択した10個の連続凸部41aそれぞれから、さらに任意に選択した5箇所の単位面積当りの凸部についての平均値である。この場合、「単位面積当たりの凸部」は、該凸部における内折れ部a9の数が最大個数となるような範囲に設定する。
第6実施形態において凹部31dは、低坪量部32dとして前述した低積繊部を有している。
例えば、第1実施形態の肌当接シート10は、シートに、凹凸形状を付与して凹部及び凸部を形成する工程と、凹部に低坪量部を形成する工程とを具備する製造方法によって製造することができる。斯かる製造方法では、対向して配されたエンボス凸ロールとフラットロールとの間にシートを導入して凹凸形状を付与した後、該凹凸形状の凹部に超音波処理等を用いて低坪量部を形成する。
また、第2実施形態である複合シート(肌当接シート10a)は、特開2018-099883号公報に記載の製造方法により製造することができる。斯かる製造方法は、第1シート21に凹凸形状を付与する工程、第1シート21に第2シート22を重ね合わせる重ね合わせ工程、及びこれら両シート21,22に超音波振動を印加する超音波処理工程を具備する。前記凹凸形状を付与する工程は、周面部に互いに噛み合う凹凸を有する第1ロール及び第2ロールを回転させながら、これら両ロールの噛み合い部に第1シート21を導入して凹凸形状に変形させる。前記重ね合わせ工程は、凹凸形状に変形させた第1シート21を、第1ロール上に保持しつつ搬送し、搬送中の第1シート21に第2シート22を重ね合わせる。前記超音波処理工程は、重ね合わせた両シート21,22を、第1ロールの凸部と超音波融着機の超音波ホーンとの間に挟んで超音波振動を印加して、肌当接シート10aを貫通する開孔からなる低坪量部32を形成させる。
例えば、第1実施形態における肌当接シート10は、中央凹凸領域Pと、これの両側に位置するサイド凹凸領域PSとを有していたが、該肌当接シート10の全面に亘って、中央凹凸領域Pと同じパターンの長凸部41及び凹部31,33が形成されていてもよい。
また、凹凸領域Pは、弾性部材19と重なる領域と、該弾性部材19と重ならない領域とを有していてもよい。この場合、弾性部材19と重なる領域における凸部と、該弾性部材19と重ならない領域における凸部とは、第1方向Yにおける幅が同じであってもよく、異なっていてもよい。例えば、弾性部材19と重なる領域における凸部の第1方向の幅が、弾性部材19と重ならない領域における凸部の第1方向の幅よりも小さい形態が挙げられる。
また、本発明の吸収性物品は、展開型の使い捨ておむつに代えて、パンツ型(プルオンタイプ)の使い捨ておむつであっても良く、また、パンツ型又は通常の非パンツ型の生理用ナプキンであっても良く、失禁パッド、パンティライナー等であってもよい。

- 凹凸領域を有し、着用状態において該凹凸領域が着用者の肌に当接する肌当接シートを具備し、着用者の前後方向に対応する縦方向及び該縦方向と直交する横方向を有する吸収性物品であって、
前記凹凸領域は、第1方向及び該第1方向と直交する第2方向を有し、第2方向の長さよりも第1方向の長さが長い凸部と、第1方向又は第2方向における該凸部間に位置する凹部とをそれぞれ複数有しており、
前記凹部は、前記凸部に比して繊維材料の坪量が少ない低坪量部を有しており、
前記肌当接シートよりも非肌対向面側に、弾性部材が第1方向に沿って配されている、吸収性物品。 - 前記凹凸領域には、第2方向に沿って複数の前記低坪量部が並んだ低坪量部列が第1方向に間欠的に複数列形成されており、
