La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'échappement pour un véhicule de type à selle, ledit dispositif d'échappement permettant une résistance élevée et un aspect amélioré par optimisation de la structure d'un protecteur ayant une structure à double couche.　Un dispositif d'échappement (30) pour un véhicule de type à selle (1) selon la présente invention comprend un pot d'échappement (32) rendu visible de l'extérieur dans une direction de largeur de véhicule, et un protecteur (90) permettant de protéger le pot d'échappement (32), le protecteur (90) étant conçu à partir d'un protecteur interne (50) constitué de résine qui recouvre au moins une partie du pot d'échappement (32) et d'un protecteur externe (70) constitué de métal qui recouvre au moins une partie du protecteur interne (50). Le protecteur externe (70) est supporté par le pot d'échappement (32), et le protecteur interne (50) est supporté par le côté arrière du protecteur externe (70). Le protecteur externe (70) est monté avec du caoutchouc, à l'aide d'une rondelle isolante annulaire (75), sur des entretoises de protection (60, 61) qui s'étendent vers l'extérieur dans la direction de la largeur du véhicule à partir du pot d'échappement (32).
