Definitions
- the present invention relates to a physical quantity detecting device for intake air of an internal combustion engine.
- Patent Document 1 discloses a structure of a physical quantity detection device that removes electric charges of a pollutant by providing a static elimination area in a passage through which a gas to be measured flows, as a countermeasure against fouling that prevents a pollutant from adhering to a flow rate detection unit. There is.
- the present invention has been made in view of the above points, and an object thereof is a physical quantity that can be electrically connected with a static elimination region arranged in a place where a measurement gas passes through in a simple process. It is to provide a detection device.
- the physical quantity detecting device of the present invention includes a housing having a terminal, a passage portion through which the gas to be measured passes, and a support for supporting the flow rate detecting element.
- a static elimination region is formed on the bottom surface of the passage portion of the housing, and the support is supported by the housing so that the detection unit of the flow rate detection element faces the static elimination region.
- the static elimination function can be realized by a simple process. Further, since the cover can be excluded from the components of the passage, it is possible to reduce the variation in the passage dimensional tolerance of the flow rate detecting element.

- BB sectional view of FIG. 7. A-A cross-sectional view showing another embodiment of the physical quantity detection device.
- Enlarged view of the static elimination area in FIG. FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line CC of FIG. 4 showing another embodiment of the physical quantity detecting device.
- FIG. 1 is a front view of the physical quantity detection device 300
- FIG. 2 is a rear view
- FIG. 3 is a left side view
- FIG. 4 is a right side view. is there.
- the physical quantity detection device 300 includes a housing 301 and a cover 302.
- the housing 301 is formed by molding a synthetic resin material, and has a flange 311 for fixing the physical quantity detection device 300 to the intake body and an electrical connection with an external device protruding from the flange 311. It has an external connection portion 321 having a connector for.
- the housing 301 is provided with a circuit board 400 (see FIG. 5).
- the circuit board 400 is electrically connected to the detection element 601 supported by the support 600.
- the detection element 601 is arranged in the passage 100 formed by the housing 301 and the cover 302, and the detection portion thereof is exposed to the measured gas 30 flowing through the passage 100.
- a part of the support 600 is arranged in the sub-passage 100, and a part of the support 600 is arranged in the circuit chamber.
- the support body 600 may be a resin package sealed with a resin so that at least the detection portion of the flow rate detection element 601 is exposed, or a resin molded body including a mounting portion on which the flow rate detection element 601 is mounted. Good.
- the housing 301 is provided with a static electricity elimination region 500 having a function of static electricity of the polluted matter flying with the gas to be measured 30.
- the static elimination region 500 is provided from the passage 100 to the circuit room, and is electrically connected to the circuit board 400.
- the detection element 601 is supported by the support 600 so as to face the static elimination region 500, and is installed in the housing 301 (see FIG. 6).
- the static elimination region 500 may be grounded in a circuit, and is made of a conductive metal plate, a conductive resin, or the like, and is provided in the housing 301 by inserts, plating, or the like.
- the support 600 is arranged in contact with the housing 301 on the detection element 601 side, and the static elimination region 500 and the support 600 form a detection passage portion 101.
- the detection element 601 is provided in the static elimination region 500 formed in the housing 301 on which the circuit board 400 is mounted. They can face each other. It is possible to form a static elimination region on the housing 301, and it is possible to eliminate the need for conduction from the circuit board 400 to the cover 302 and to eliminate conduction in the mounting and stacking direction. Can be provided. Further, it becomes possible to perform the conduction between the terminal 303 provided on the housing 301 and the circuit board 400 and the conduction between the static elimination area 500 and the constant potential of the circuit board 400 in the same step, which simplifies the steps. It is also possible.
- the detection passage portion 101 of the detection element 601 by configuring the detection passage portion 101 of the detection element 601 with the housing 301, it is possible to exclude the cover 302 and the circuit board 400 from factors that constitute the detection passage portion 101, and the tolerance of the cover 302 and the circuit board 400. Since the tolerance of the above can be ignored, the dimensional variation of the detection passage portion 101 can be reduced and the detection accuracy can be improved.
- the static elimination region 500 and the contact surface of the support body 600 and the housing 301 substantially flush with each other, the dimensional tolerance of the housing can be ignored from the height dimensional tolerance of the detection passage portion 101. Therefore, it is more preferable because the dimensional variation of the detection passage portion 101 can be reduced and the detection accuracy can be improved.
- the support body 600 has a lead frame 610 that is electrically connected to the terminal 303.
- the lead frame 610 is electrically connected to the terminal 303 by welding or the like.
- the static elimination region 500 is electrically connected to the terminal 303 by welding or the like via the lead frame 611.
- the circuit board 400 becomes unnecessary if the support body 600 is provided with a circuit function, and the number of parts and the cost can be reduced.
- the lead frame 610 may be connected to the static elimination area 500 and further connected to the terminal 303.
- Example 3 As shown in FIG. 9, the support body 600 is mounted on the circuit board 400. After forming the circuit board assembly in which the support body 600 is mounted on the circuit board 400, the circuit board assembly is mounted on the housing 301. The support body 600 is mounted on the circuit board 400 so that the detection element side faces the back surface side of the circuit board 400.
- the housing 301 is formed with a step 320 such that the mounting portion for mounting the circuit board 400 is located outside the contact portion with which the support body 600 contacts.
- the distance between the detection element 601 and the static elimination region 500 can be made shorter than the thickness of the circuit board 400, so that the flow velocity can be increased and the static elimination region on the housing side can be increased. There is also an effect that the noise performance is improved in the structure in which the detection element is arranged so as to face the housing side.
- the height of the step 320 is more preferably larger than the distance from the bottom surface of the circuit board 400 to the contact portion of the support body 600 that comes into contact with the housing. Since the variation of the circuit board 400 can be absorbed by the adhesive provided between the circuit board 400 and the housing 301, the stress applied to the connecting portion between the support body 600 and the circuit board 400 can be reduced.
- the static elimination region may extend to the inner end of the step 320.
- the support body 600 is in contact with the housing 301 in the static elimination area 500.
- a small step is formed. Even if such a step is included, it is included within the range of substantially the same plane in the first embodiment, but since the contact portion and the portion forming the measurement passage 101 are formed in the same static elimination region, the flatness is further improved.
- the static elimination area 500 is installed up to the bottom of the circuit board 400. Since the static elimination area 500 is formed of, for example, a metal plate, the rigidity of the housing 301 can be improved and the vibration resistance can be improved. In addition, since the metal plate is provided below the circuit board 400, the apparent difference in linear expansion coefficient between the circuit board 400 and the housing 301 becomes small, and the deformation of the circuit board 400 can be reduced, so that the circuit board 400 can be mounted on the circuit board 400. It is possible to reduce the stress and strain of the electronic components to be processed.
- the static elimination area 500 is installed in parallel with the terminal 303. Further, the static elimination region 500 is installed on the root side (flange side) of the terminal 303 with respect to the terminal end face 304. In this embodiment, the static elimination region 500 is arranged in parallel with the terminal 303, so that the workability of the electrical connection can be improved. Further, the static elimination region 500 is formed of, for example, a metal plate and is arranged on the root side of the terminal 303, so that the rigidity of the housing 301 can be improved and the vibration resistance can be improved.
- the static elimination region 500 is arranged on the root side of the terminal 303, and further arranged to the inside of the flange 311.
- the static elimination region 500 from, for example, a metal plate and arranging it up to the inside of the flange, the rigidity of the housing 301 can be improved and the vibration resistance can be improved.

Abstract
