La présente invention concerne un complexe dinucléaire du molybdène avec des ligands choisis parmi les amines tertiaires grasses de formule (I): R-N[(CH2)nR2][(CH2)nR3], dans laquelle R représente un alkyle, linéaire ou ramifié, comprenant de 3 à 30 atomes de carbone, de préférence de 3 à 20, avantageusement de 7 à 17 atomes de carbone; n identique ou différent représente 2 ou 3; R2 et R3, identiques ou différents, représentent un groupe O, OR, NR'2, COOR', ou COO, où R', identique ou différent, représente un atome d'hydrogène ou un métal alcalin ou alcalino-terreux, de préférence R' est H, de préférence R2 et R3 identiques ou différents, représentent un groupe OH ou NH2.
Description
Complexe dinucléaire de molybdène et son utilisation dans des compositions lubrifiantes
La présente invention concerne le domaine des compositions lubrifiantes, en particulier les propriétés de fuel economy (FE ou fuel eco) des compositions lubrifiantes et les résistances au frottement. Plus précisément, l'invention concerne un complexe dinucléaire de molybdène pour améliorer les propriétés de fuel economy d'une composition lubrifiante comprenant au moins une huile de base.
Les développements des moteurs et les performances des compositions lubrifiantes pour moteur sont indissociablement liés. Les conditions d'utilisation des moteurs à essence et des moteurs diesel incluent aussi bien des parcours extrêmement courts que de longs trajets. En effet, 80 % des trajets des voitures d'Europe occidentale sont inférieurs à 12 kilomètres alors que des véhicules parcourent des kilométrages annuels allant jusqu'à 300 000 km.
Les compositions lubrifiantes pour véhicules à moteur doivent être adaptables à toutes ces conditions d’utilisations et ainsi doivent posséder des propriétés et des performances améliorées.
Les compositions lubrifiantes pour moteur doivent donc remplir de nombreux objectifs.
La lubrification des pièces glissant les unes sur les autres joue un rôle déterminant, en particulier pour réduire le frottement entre ces pièces et par conséquent l'usure de celles- ci, permettant notamment des économies de carburant.
Une exigence essentielle des compositions lubrifiantes pour moteur concerne les aspects liés à l'environnement. Il est en effet devenu essentiel de réduire la consommation de carburant dans le but de réduire les émissions de CO2.
La nature des compositions lubrifiantes pour moteur pour automobiles a une influence sur la consommation de carburant. Les compositions lubrifiantes pour moteur pour automobiles permettant des économies de carburant sont souvent désignées fuel economy ( FE).
L'amélioration du niveau de performances FE ( fuel eco) est constamment recherchée dans la formulation des lubrifiants pour automobile.
Il est connu d’ajouter aux compositions lubrifiantes des modificateurs de frottement tels que des composés organomolybdène pour faire baisser le coefficient de frottement. L’ajout de tels composés permet notamment des économies de carburant et confère au
lubrifiant des propriétés FE. Lors du fonctionnement du moteur, le composé organomolybdène forme notamment le M0S2 (bisulfure de molybdène lamellaire) qui permet la réduction du frottement.
Les composés organomolybdènes contenant du soufre sont fragiles et peuvent être dégradés par des phénomènes extérieurs chimiques ou thermiques tels que l’oxydation, l’hydrolyse, la décomposition thermique, des réactions parasites avec d’autres additifs. Les composés ou leurs produits de dégradations peuvent également précipiter et perdre leur performance du Fuel Eco de la composition lubrifiante (et donc de l’économie de carburant) dans le temps ou causer des problèmes de propreté ou de corrosion.
Pour remédier à ce problème, il est possible de mettre en oeuvre des modificateurs de frottement organique qui sont cependant moins efficaces. Il a également été envisagé une augmentation de la quantité de composé organomolybdène cependant, cela peut entraîner un risque d’encrassement du moteur et/ou de corrosion cuivre ainsi qu’une augmentation importante du coût de formulation de la composition lubrifiante.
Il existe donc un besoin de disposer de compositions lubrifiantes pour moteur, notamment pour moteur de véhicule, qui permettent d’apporter une solution à tout ou partie des problèmes des compositions lubrifiantes de l’état de la technique. Notamment, il existe un besoin de disposer d’un composé organomolybdène stabilisé ne présentant pas ces problèmes de précipitation ou de dégradation et de perte de performance.
Un objectif de la présente invention est de fournir un complexe de molybdène stabilisé ne présentant notamment pas de problème de précipitation ou de dégradation due aux différents phénomènes extérieurs chimiques ou thermiques.
Un autre objectif de la présente invention est également de fournir une composition lubrifiante ayant des propriétés FE améliorées.
Un autre objectif de la présente invention est de fournir une composition lubrifiante permettant la réduction du coefficient de frottement.
Un autre objectif encore de la présente invention est de proposer un composé organomolybdène moins sensible aux différents phénomènes extérieurs chimiques ou thermiques.
D’autres objectifs encore apparaîtront à la lecture de la description de l’invention qui suit.
Ces objectifs sont remplis par la présente invention qui concerne un complexe dinucléaire du molybdène avec des ligands choisis parmi les amines tertiaires grasses de formule (I) :

De préférence, le composé de formule (I) est choisi parmi les composés suivants :
R étant tel que défini ci-dessus.
Les complexes dinucléaires selon la présente invention sont des complexes comportant deux atomes de molybdène, ayant de préférence chacun une structure octahédrique, et étant complexé par un composé de formule (I). Ainsi, les complexes dinucléaires de la présente invention répondent de préférence à la formule (II) suivante :
dans laquelle R et n sont tels que défini ci-dessus et chacun des X, identique ou différent représente O, OR, NR’2, COOR’, ou COO , où R’, identique ou différent, représente un atome d’hydrogène ou un métal alcalin ou alcalino-terreux, de préférence R’ est H, de préférence X est OH ou NH2.
De façon particulièrement avantageuse, ce complexe ne comporte pas de soufre.
Sans vouloir être lié par une quelconque théorie, la présence de ligand de formule (I) permet de stabiliser le molybdène, voire de protéger le molybdène des différents phénomènes extérieurs chimiques et thermiques, et par conséquent de promouvoir la sulfuration avec des composés soufrés présents dans le lubrifiant comme par exemple le DTPZn.
Sans vouloir être lié par une quelconque théorie, le complexe selon l’invention permet l’obtention d’un bas coefficient de frottement, une amélioration des propriétés de FE du lubrifiant et ainsi une économie de carburants.
Les complexes selon la présente invention sont obtenus par un procédé comprenant la réaction entre un composé molybdène et au moins un composé de formule (I).
Le composé molybdène peut être M0O3, un produit inorganique contenant du molybdène comme molybdate d’ammonium, chlorure de molybdène, oxychlorure de molybdène ou un composé organomolybdène qui selon la présente invention, peut être choisi parmi les complexes organiques du molybdène comprenant au moins un élément chimique molybdène (Mo) et au moins un ligand tel qu’un ligand carboxylate, un ligand ester, un ligand amide, un ligand dithiophosphate, un ligand dithiocarbamate. Le procédé correspond à une complexation du molybdène avec les composés de formule (I) selon l’invention par dissolution de composé inorganique avec formation d’un complexe ou par échange de ligand dans le cas de l’utilisation de composé organomolybdène. Par exemple, les complexes organiques du molybdène avec des carboxylates, des esters, des amides peuvent être obtenus par réaction d’oxyde de molybdène ou de molybdates d’ammonium avec des corps gras, glycérides, acides gras ou dérivés d’acides gras (esters, amines, amides, ...). Au sens de l’invention, les ligands carboxylates, les ligands esters et les ligands amides sont exempts de soufre et de phosphore.
Dans un mode de réalisation, le composé organomolybdène de l’invention est choisi parmi les complexes du molybdène avec des ligands amide, principalement préparés par réaction d’une source de molybdène, qui peut être par exemple le trioxyde de molybdène, et d’un dérivé d’amine, et d’acides gras comprenant par exemple de 4 à 36 atomes de carbone tels que par exemple les acides gras contenus dans les huiles végétales ou animales. La synthèse de tels composés est par exemple décrite dans les brevets US4889647, EP0546357, US5412130 ou EP1770153.
Dans un mode de réalisation préféré de l’invention, le composé organomolybdène est choisi parmi les complexes organiques du molybdène avec des ligands amide obtenus par réaction :
(i) d’un corps gras de type mono, di ou tri glycéride, ou acide gras,
(ii) d’une source aminée de formule (A)
Dans laquelle :
- X1 représente un atome d’oxygène ou un atome d’azote,
- X2 représente un atome d’oxygène ou un atome d’azote,
- n ou m représente 1 lorsque respectivement X1 ou X2 représente un atome d’oxygène,
- n ou m représente 2 lorsque respectivement X1 ou X2 représente un atome d’azote,
(iii) et d’une source de molybdène choisie parmi le trioxyde de molybdène ou les molybdates, préférentiellement le molybdate d’ammonium.
Dans un mode de réalisation de l’invention, le composé organomolybdène peut comprendre de 0,1 à 30% en poids, de préférence de 0,1 à 20%, plus préférentiellement de 2 à 8,5% en poids de molybdène par rapport au poids total du complexe organomolybdène.
De préférence, le composé organomolybdène comprend au moins un complexe organique du molybdène de formule (III), (IV) ou (V), seul ou en mélange :

Ri représente un groupement alkyle linéaire ou ramifié, saturé ou insaturé, comprenant de 4 à 36 atomes de carbone, préférentiellement de 4 à 20 atomes de carbone, avantageusement de 6 à 18 atomes de carbone.
Avantageusement, le complexe organique du molybdène de formule (III), (IV) ou (V) est préparé par réaction :
(i) d’un corps gras de type mono, di ou tri glycéride, ou acide gras,
(ii) de diéthanolamine ou de 2-(2-aminoéthyl) aminoéthanol,
(iii) et d’une source de molybdène choisie parmi le trioxyde de molybdène ou les molybdates, préférentiellement le molybdate d’ammonium.
Plus avantageusement, le complexe organique du molybdène de formule (III) est constitué d’au moins un composé de formule (lll-a) ou (lll-b), seul ou en mélange :

Comme exemple de composés de molybdène exempts de soufre selon l’invention, on peut citer le Molyvan 855® commercialisé par la société Vanderbilt. Dans un autre mode de réalisation de l’invention, le composé organomolybdène est choisi parmi les complexes organiques du molybdène avec des ligands dithiophosphates ou les complexes organiques du molybdène avec des ligands dithiocarbamates.
Au sens de l’invention, les complexes organiques du molybdène avec des ligands dithiophosphates sont également appelés les dithiophosphates de molybdène ou composés Mo-DTP et les complexes organiques du molybdène avec des ligands dithiocarbamates sont également appelés les dithiocarbamates de molybdène ou composés Mo-DTC.
Dans un mode de réalisation plus préféré de l’invention, le composé organomolybdène est choisi parmi les dithiocarbamates de molybdène.
Les composés Mo-DTC sont des complexes formés d’un noyau métallique de molybdène lié à un ou plusieurs ligands, le ligand étant un groupement dithiocarbamate d’alkyles. Ces composés sont bien connus de l’homme du métier.
Dans un mode de réalisation de l’invention, le composé Mo-DTC peut comprendre de 1 à 40%, de préférence de 2 à 30%, plus préférentiellement de 3 à 28%, avantageusement de 4 à 15% en poids de molybdène, par rapport au poids total du composé Mo-DTC.
Dans un autre mode de réalisation de l’invention, le composé Mo-DTC peut comprendre de 1 à 40%, de préférence de 2 à 30%, plus préférentiellement de 3 à 28%, avantageusement de 4 à 15% en poids de soufre, par rapport au poids total du composé Mo-DTC.
Dans un autre mode de réalisation de l’invention, le composé Mo-DTC peut être choisi parmi ceux dont le noyau présente deux atomes de molybdène (aussi appelés Mo-DTC dimériques) et ceux dont le noyau présente trois atomes de molybdène (aussi appelés Mo-DTC trimériques).
Dans un autre mode de réalisation de l’invention, les composés Mo-DTC trimériques répondent à la formule Mo3SkLn dans laquelle :
k représente un nombre entier au moins égal à 4, de préférence allant de 4 à 10, avantageusement de 4 à 7,
n est un entier allant de 1 à 4, et
L étant un groupement dithiocarbamate d’alkyles comprenant de 1 à 100 atomes de carbone, de préférence de 1 à 40 atomes de carbone, avantageusement de 3 à 20 atomes de carbone.
Comme exemples de composés Mo-DTC trimériques selon l’invention, on peut citer les composés et leurs procédés de préparation tels que décrits dans les documents WO 98/26030 et US 2003/022954.
Dans un mode de réalisation préféré de l’invention, le composé Mo-DTC est un composé Mo-DTC dimérique.
Comme exemples de composés Mo-DTC dimériques, on peut citer les composés et leurs procédés de préparation tels que décrits dans les documents EP 0757093, EP 0719851 , EP 0743354 ou EP 1013749.
Les composés Mo-DTC dimériques correspondent généralement aux composés de formule (VI) :

Par groupement alkyle au sens de l’invention, on entend, sauf indication contraire, et notamment pour R3, R , R5 et R6 de la formule (VI) un groupement hydrocarboné, linéaire ou ramifié, saturé ou insaturé, comprenant de 1 à 24 atomes de carbone, de préférence de 4 à 18 atomes de carbone.

Par groupement alcényle au sens de la présente invention, on entend un groupement hydrocarboné linéaire ou ramifié comprenant au moins une double liaison et comprenant de 2 à 24 atomes de carbone. Le groupement alcényle peut être choisi parmi le vinyle, l’allyle, le propényle, le butényle, l’isobutényle, le pentényle, l’isopentényle, l’hexényle, l’heptényle, l’octényle, le nonényle, le décényle, l’undécényle, le dodécényle, le tétradécényle et l’oléique.
Par groupement aryle au sens de la présente invention, on entend un hydrocarbure aromatique polycyclique ou un groupement aromatique, substitué ou non par un groupe alkyle. Le groupement aryle peut comprendre de 6 à 24 atomes de carbone.
Dans un mode de réalisation, le groupe aryle peut être choisi dans le groupe formé par le phényle, le toluyle, le xylyle, le cuményle, le mésityle, le benzyle, le phénéthyle, le styryle, le cinnamyle, le benzhydryle, le trityle, l’éthylphényle, le propylphényle, le butylphényle, le pentylphényle, le hexylphényl, le heptylphényle, le octylphényle, le nonylphényle, le

Par groupement cycloalkyle au sens de la présente invention, on entend un hydrocarbure polycyclique ou cyclique, substitué ou non par un groupe alkyle.
Par groupement cycloalcényle au sens de la présente invention, on entend un hydrocarbure polycyclique ou cyclique, substitué ou non par un groupe alkyle, et comprenant au moins une insaturation.
Les groupes cycloalkyle et les groupes cycloalcényle peuvent comprendre de 3 à 24 atomes de carbone.
Au sens de la présente invention, les groupes cycloalkyle et les groupes cycloalcényle peuvent être choisis, de façon non limitative, dans le groupe constitué par le cyclopentyle, le cyclohexyle, le cycloheptyle, le méthylcyclopentyle, le méthylcyclohexyle, le méthylcycloheptyle, le cyclopentényle, le cyclohexényle, le cycloheptényle, le méthylcyclopentenyle, le méthylcyclohexenyle.
Dans un mode de réalisation préféré de l’invention, R3, FU, Rs et R6 de la formule (VI), identiques ou différents, représentent indépendamment un groupement alkyle comprenant de 1 à 24 atomes de carbone, de préférence de 4 à 18 atomes de carbone ou un groupement alcényle comprenant de 2 à 24 atomes de carbone.
Dans un mode de réalisation de l’invention, X3, X4, X5 et Cb peuvent être identiques et peuvent représenter un atome de soufre.
Dans un autre mode de réalisation de l’invention, X3, X , X5 et Cb peuvent être identiques et peuvent être un atome d’oxygène.
Dans un autre mode de réalisation de l’invention, X3 et X4 peuvent représenter un atome de soufre et X5 et Cb peuvent représenter un atome d’oxygène.
Dans un autre mode de réalisation de l’invention, X3 et X4 peuvent représenter un atome d’oxygène et X5 et Cb peuvent représenter un atome de soufre.
Dans un autre mode de réalisation de l’invention, le ratio en nombre d’atomes de soufre par rapport au nombre d’atomes d’oxygène (S/O) du composé Mo-DTC peut varier de (1/3) à (3/1 ).
Dans un autre mode de réalisation de l’invention, le composé Mo-DTC de formule (VI) peut être choisi parmi un composé Mo-DTC symétrique, un composé Mo-DTC asymétrique et leur combinaison.
Par composé Mo-DTC symétrique selon l’invention, on entend un composé Mo-DTC de formule (VI) dans laquelle les groupements R3, R4, R5 et R6 sont identiques.
Par composé Mo-DTC asymétrique selon l’invention, on entend un composé Mo-DTC de formule (VI) dans laquelle les groupements R3 et FU sont identiques, les groupements R5 et R6 sont identiques et les groupements R3 et R4 sont différents des groupements R5 et R6.
Dans un mode de réalisation préféré de l’invention, le composé Mo-DTC est un mélange d’au moins un composé Mo-DTC symétrique et d’au moins un composé Mo-DTC asymétrique.
Dans un mode de réalisation de l’invention, R3 et R4 de la formule (VI), identiques, représentent un groupement alkyle comprenant de 5 à 15 atomes de carbone, de préférence de 8 à 13 atomes de carbone, et R5 et R6 de la formule (VI), identiques, représentent un groupement alkyle comprenant de 5 à 15 atomes de carbone, de préférence de 8 à 13 atomes de carbone, et les groupements R3 et R4 de la formule (VI), sont identiques ou différents des groupements R5 et Rede la formule (VI).

Dans un autre mode de réalisation préféré de l’invention, R3, R4, R5 et R6, identiques, représentent un groupement alkyle comprenant de 5 à 15 atomes de carbone, de préférence de 8 à 13 atomes de carbone.
De manière avantageuse, le composé Mo-DTC est choisi parmi les composés de formule (V) dans laquelle :
- X3 et X4 représentent un atome d’oxygène,
- X5 et Cb représentent un atome de soufre,
- R3 de la formule (VI) représente un groupement alkyle comprenant 8 atomes de carbone ou un groupement alkyle comprenant 13 atomes de carbone,
- R4 de la formule (VI) représente un groupement alkyle comprenant 8 atomes de carbone ou un groupement alkyle comprenant 13 atomes de carbone,
- R5 de la formule (VI) représente un groupement alkyle comprenant 8 atomes de carbone ou un groupement alkyle comprenant 13 atomes de carbone,
- FÎ6 de la formule (VI) représente un groupement alkyle comprenant 8 atomes de carbone ou un groupement alkyle comprenant 13 atomes de carbone.
Ainsi, de manière avantageuse, le composé Mo-DTC est choisi parmi les composés de formule (Vl-a)
De manière plus avantageuse, le composé Mo-DTC est un mélange :
- d’un composé Mo-DTC de formule (Vl-a) dans laquelle R3, R4, Rs et R6 représentent un groupement alkyle comprenant 8 atomes de carbone,
- d’un composé Mo-DTC de formule (Vl-a) dans laquelle R3, R4, Rs et R6 représentent un groupement alkyle comprenant 13 atomes de carbone, et/ou
- d’un composé Mo-DTC de formule (Vl-a) dans laquelle R3, R4 représentent un groupement alkyle comprenant 8 atomes de carbone et R5 et R6 représentent un groupement alkyle comprenant 13 atomes de carbone.
Comme exemples de composés Mo-DTC, on peut citer les produits Molyvan L®, Molyvan 807® ou Molyvan 822® commercialisés par la société R. T Vanderbilt Compagny® ou les produits Sakura-lube 200®, Sakura-lube 165®, Sakura-lube 525® ou Sakura-lube 600® commercialisés par la société Adeka.
De préférence, le procédé de préparation du complexe dinucléaire selon l’invention est mis en oeuvre à température entre 0°C et 250 °C, de préférence entre 20 et 150 °C de préférence à température ambiante par exemple entre 15 et 30°C.
De préférence, le rapport atomique N/Mo dans le mélange du procédé de l’invention est compris entre 1 et 50, de préférence entre 2 et 10.
De préférence le procédé a lieu en présence d’eau. Sans vouloir être lié par une quelconque théorie l’eau va de façon avantageuse jouer un rôle de catalyseur. De préférence le rapport molaire entre eau et le composé de formule (I) est compris entre 0.5 et 10.
La présente invention concerne également une composition lubrifiante comprenant :
- au moins une huile de base ;
- au moins un complexe dinucléaire du molybdène selon l’invention.
De préférence, la composition lubrifiante selon l’invention comprend de 0,001 à 0,1% en poids de complexe dinucléaire de molybdène selon l’invention par rapport au poids total de la composition. De manière générale, la composition lubrifiante selon l’invention peut comprendre tout type d’huile de base lubrifiante minérale, synthétique ou naturelle, animale ou végétale, connue de l’Homme du métier.
Les huiles de base utilisées dans les compositions lubrifiantes selon l’invention peuvent être des huiles d’origines minérales ou synthétiques appartenant aux groupes I à V selon les classes définies dans la classification API (ou leurs équivalents selon la classification ATIEL) (tableau 1 ) ou leurs mélanges.

Les huiles de base minérales selon l’invention incluent tous types d’huiles de base obtenues par distillation atmosphérique et sous vide du pétrole brut, suivies d’opérations de raffinage telles qu’extraction au solvant, désalphatage, déparaffinage au solvant, hydrotraitement, hydrocraquage, hydroisomérisation.
Des mélanges d’huiles synthétiques et minérales peuvent également être employés.
Il n’existe généralement aucune limitation quant à l’emploi de bases lubrifiantes différentes pour réaliser les compositions lubrifiantes selon l’invention, si ce n’est qu’elles doivent avoir des propriétés, notamment de viscosité, indice de viscosité, teneur en soufre, résistance à l’oxydation, adaptées à une utilisation pour des moteurs ou pour des transmissions de véhicule.
Les huiles de bases des compositions lubrifiantes selon l’invention peuvent également être choisies parmi les huiles synthétiques, telles certains esters d’acides carboxyliques et d’alcools, et parmi les polyalphaoléfines. Les polyalphaoléfines utilisées comme huiles de base sont par exemple obtenues à partir de monomères comprenant de 4 à 32 atomes de carbone, par exemple à partir de décène, d’octène ou de dodécène, et dont la viscosité à 100 °C est comprise entre 1 ,5 et 15 mm2. s 1 selon la norme ASTM D445. Leur masse moléculaire moyenne est généralement comprise entre 250 et 3 000 selon la norme ASTM D5296.
De manière préférée, les huiles de base de la présente invention sont choisies parmi les huiles de base ci-dessus dont la teneur en aromatique est comprise entre 0 et 45%, de préférence entre 0 et 30%. La teneur en aromatique des huiles est mesurée selon la méthode UV Burdett. Sans vouloir être lié par une quelconque théorie, l’aromaticité de l’huile de base est un caractère permettant d’optimiser le fonctionnement du polymère en fonction de la température. Le choix d’une huile pauvre en aromatique permet un optimum à plus haute température.
De manière avantageuse, la composition lubrifiante selon l’invention comprend au moins 50 % en masse d’huiles de base par rapport à la masse totale de la composition.
De manière plus avantageuse, la composition lubrifiante selon l’invention comprend au moins 60 % en masse, voire au moins 70 % en masse, d’huiles de base par rapport à la masse totale de la composition.
De manière plus particulièrement avantageuse, la composition lubrifiante selon l’invention comprend de 60 à 99,5% en masse d’huiles de base, de préférence de 70 à 99,5 % en masse d’huiles de base, par rapport à la masse totale de la composition.
De nombreux additifs additionnels peuvent être utilisés pour cette composition lubrifiante selon l’invention.
Les additifs additionnels préférés pour la composition lubrifiante selon l’invention sont choisis parmi les additifs détergents, les additifs anti-usure, les additifs modificateurs de frottement différents des composés organomolybdène, les additifs extrême pression, les dispersants, les améliorants du point d’écoulement, les agents anti-mousse, les épaississants et leurs mélanges.
De manière préférée, la composition lubrifiante selon l’invention comprend au moins un additif anti-usure, au moins un additif extrême pression ou leurs mélanges.
Les additifs anti-usure et les additifs extrême pression protègent les surfaces en frottement par formation d’un film protecteur adsorbé sur ces surfaces.
Il existe une grande variété d’additifs anti-usure. De manière préférée pour la composition lubrifiante selon l’invention, les additifs anti-usure sont choisis parmi des additifs phospho- soufrés comme les alkylthiophosphates métalliques, en particulier les alkylthiophosphates de zinc, et plus spécifiquement les dialkyldithiophosphates de zinc ou ZnDTP. Les composés préférés sont de formule Zn((SP(S)(OR1)(OR2))2, dans laquelle R1 et R2, identiques ou différents, représentent indépendamment un groupement alkyle, préférentiellement un groupement alkyle comportant de 1 à 18 atomes de carbone.
Les phosphates d’amines sont également des additifs anti-usure qui peuvent être employés dans la composition lubrifiante selon l’invention. Toutefois, le phosphore apporté par ces additifs peut agir comme poison des systèmes catalytiques des automobiles car ces additifs sont générateurs de cendres. On peut minimiser ces effets en substituant partiellement les phosphates d’amines par des additifs n’apportant pas de phosphore, tels que, par exemple, les polysulfures, notamment les oléfines soufrées.
De manière avantageuse, la composition lubrifiante selon l’invention peut comprendre de 0,01 à 6 % en masse, préférentiellement de 0,05 à 4 % en masse, plus préférentiellement de 0,1 à 2 % en masse par rapport à la masse totale de composition lubrifiante, d’additifs anti-usure et d’additifs extrême-pression.
De manière avantageuse, la composition lubrifiante selon l’invention peut comprendre au moins un additif modificateur de frottement additionnel différent des composés organomolybdène. L’additif modificateur de frottement additionnel peut être choisi parmi un composé apportant des éléments métalliques et un composé exempt de cendres. Parmi les composés apportant des éléments métalliques, on peut citer les complexes de métaux de transition tels que Sb, Sn, Fe, Cu, Zn dont les ligands peuvent être des composés hydrocarbonés comprenant des atomes d’oxygène, d’azote, de soufre ou de phosphore. Les additifs modificateurs de frottement exempt de cendres sont généralement d’origine organique et peuvent être choisis parmi les monoesters d’acides gras et de polyols, les époxydes gras, les époxydes gras de borate; ou les esters de glycérol d’acide gras. Selon l’invention, les composés gras comprennent au moins un groupement hydrocarboné comprenant de 10 à 24 atomes de carbone.
De manière avantageuse, la composition lubrifiante selon l’invention peut comprendre au moins un additif antioxydant.
L’additif antioxydant permet généralement de retarder la dégradation de la composition lubrifiante en service. Cette dégradation peut notamment se traduire par la formation de dépôts, par la présence de boues ou par une augmentation de la viscosité de la composition lubrifiante.
Les additifs antioxydants agissent notamment comme inhibiteurs radicalaires ou destructeurs d’hydropéroxydes. Parmi les additifs antioxydants couramment employés, on peut citer les additifs antioxydants de type phénolique, les additifs antioxydants de type aminé, les additifs antioxydants phosphosoufrés. Certains de ces additifs antioxydants, par exemple les additifs antioxydants phosphosoufrés, peuvent être générateurs de cendres. Les additifs antioxydants phénoliques peuvent être exempt de cendres ou bien être sous forme de sels métalliques neutres ou basiques. Les additifs antioxydants peuvent notamment être choisis parmi les phénols stériquement encombrés, les esters de phénol stériquement encombrés et les phénols stériquement encombrés comprenant un pont thioéther, les diphénylamines, les diphénylamines substituées par au moins un groupement alkyle en C1-C12, les N,N'-dialkyle-aryle-diamines et leurs mélanges.
De préférence selon l’invention, les phénols stériquement encombrés sont choisis parmi les composés comprenant un groupement phénol dont au moins un carbone vicinal du carbone portant la fonction alcool est substitué par au moins un groupement alkyle en C1 - C10, de préférence un groupement alkyle en C1 -C6, de préférence un groupement alkyle en C4, de préférence par le groupement ter-butyle.
Les composés aminés sont une autre classe d’additifs antioxydants pouvant être utilisés, éventuellement en combinaison avec les additifs antioxydants phénoliques. Des exemples de composés aminés sont les amines aromatiques, par exemple les amines aromatiques de formule NR7R8R9 dans laquelle R7 représente un groupement aliphatique ou un groupement aromatique, éventuellement substitué, R8 représente un groupement aromatique, éventuellement substitué, R9 représente un atome d’hydrogène, un groupement alkyle, un groupement aryle ou un groupement de formule R10S(O)zR11 dans laquelle R10 représente un groupement alkylène ou un groupement alkenylène, R11 représente un groupement alkyle, un groupement alcényle ou un groupement aryle et z représente 0, 1 ou 2.
Des alkyl phénols sulfurisés ou leurs sels de métaux alcalins et alcalino-terreux peuvent également être utilisés comme additifs antioxydants.
La composition lubrifiante selon l’invention peut contenir tous types d’additifs antioxydants connus de l’homme du métier.
De manière avantageuse, la composition lubrifiante comprend au moins un additif antioxydant exempt de cendres.
De manière également avantageuse, la composition lubrifiante selon l’invention comprend de 0,5 à 2 % en poids par rapport à la masse totale de la composition, d’au moins un additif antioxydant.
La composition lubrifiante selon l’invention peut également comprendre au moins un additif détergent.
Les additifs détergents permettent généralement de réduire la formation de vernis à la surface des pièces métalliques par dissolution des produits secondaires d’oxydation et de combustion.
Les additifs détergents utilisables dans la composition lubrifiante selon l’invention sont généralement connus de l’homme de métier. Les additifs détergents peuvent être des composés anioniques comprenant une longue chaîne hydrocarbonée lipophile et une tête hydrophile. Le cation associé peut être un cation métallique d’un métal alcalin ou alcalino- terreux.
Les additifs détergents sont préférentiellement choisis parmi les sels de métaux alcalins ou de métaux alcalino-terreux d’acides carboxyliques, les sulfonates, les salicylates, les naphténates, ainsi que les sels de phénates. Les métaux alcalins et alcalino-terreux sont préférentiellement le calcium, le magnésium, le sodium ou le baryum.
Ces sels métalliques comprennent généralement le métal en quantité stoechiométrique ou bien en excès, donc en quantité supérieure à la quantité stoechiométrique. Il s’agit alors d’additifs détergents surbasés ; le métal en excès apportant le caractère surbasé à l’additif détergent est alors généralement sous la forme d’un sel métallique insoluble dans l’huile, par exemple un carbonate, un hydroxyde, un oxalate, un acétate, un glutamate, préférentiellement un carbonate.
De manière avantageuse, la composition lubrifiante selon l’invention peut comprendre de 2 à 4 % en poids d’additif détergent par rapport à la masse totale de la composition lubrifiante.
De manière également avantageuse, la composition lubrifiante selon l’invention peut également comprendre au moins un additif abaisseur de point d’écoulement.
En ralentissant la formation de cristaux de paraffine, les additifs abaisseurs de point d’écoulement améliorent généralement le comportement à froid de la composition lubrifiante selon l’invention.
Comme exemple d’additifs abaisseurs de point d’écoulement, on peut citer les polyméthacrylates d’alkyle, les polyacrylates, les polyarylamides, les polyalkylphénols, les polyalkylnaphtalènes, les polystyrènes alkylés.
De manière avantageuse, la composition lubrifiante selon l’invention peut également comprendre au moins un agent dispersant.
L’agent dispersant peut être choisis parmi les bases de Mannich, les succinimides et leurs dérivés.
De manière également avantageuse, la composition lubrifiante selon l’invention peut comprendre de 0,2 à 10 % en poids d’agent dispersant par rapport au poids total de la composition lubrifiante.
La composition lubrifiante de la présente invention peut également comprendre au moins un polymère supplémentaire améliorant l’indice de viscosité. Comme exemples de polymère supplémentaire améliorant l’indice de viscosité, on peut citer les esters polymères, les homopolymères ou les copolymères, hydrogénés ou non- hydrogénés, du styrène, du butadiène et de l’isoprène, les polyméthacrylates (PMA).
La composition lubrifiante selon l’invention comprend de préférence en outre au moins un additif anti-usure, par exemple ZnDTP (dithiophosphate de zinc).
La présente invention concerne également un procédé de lubrification d’un moteur, notamment d’un moteur à combustion interne, comprenant la lubrification des pièces du moteur avec la composition lubrifiante de l’invention.
La présente invention concerne également l’utilisation de composé de formule (I) pour protéger le molybdène, de sa dégradation dans la composition lubrifiante, notamment de stabiliser le molybdène.
La présente invention concerne également l’utilisation du complexe dinucléaire de molybdène selon l’invention dans une composition lubrifiante comprenant au moins une huile de base, pour améliorer les propriétés de Fuel Eco de la composition lubrifiante et les maintenir dans le temps. De préférence, le complexe dinucléaire de molybdène selon l’invention est mis en oeuvre en une quantité de 100 ppm à 1000 ppm en molybdène, de préférence 400 à 800 ppm en molybdène, en poids par rapport au poids total de la composition lubrifiante.
La présente invention concerne également un procédé de protection de la dégradation, notamment par hydrolyse, du molybdène d’une composition lubrifiante comprenant au moins une huile de base, comprenant la complexation dudit molybdène sous la forme d’un complexe dinucléaire avec au moins un composé de formule (I) selon l’invention.
La présente invention concerne également un procédé d’amélioration des propriétés de Fuel Eco d’une composition lubrifiante comprenant au moins une huile de base, comprenant l’addition, dans ladite composition lubrifiante d’un complexe dinucléaire selon
l’invention. De préférence, le complexe dinucléaire de molybdène selon l’invention est mis en oeuvre en une quantité de 100 ppm à 1000 ppm en molybdène, de préférence 400 à 800 ppm en molybdène, en poids par rapport au poids total de la composition lubrifiante. Ainsi, et de manière particulièrement avantageuse, la mise en oeuvre du complexe dinucléaire de molybdène selon l’invention permet la prolongation dans le temps des propriétés du composé organomolybdène, en particulier comme agent de lubrification, de préférence comme modificateur de frottement.
De façon particulièrement avantageuse, les compositions de l’invention comprenant le complexe de l’invention présente un bas coefficient de friction qui se maintient dans le temps.
Les caractéristiques particulières, avantageuses ou préférées de l'utilisation combinée selon l'invention définissent des combinaisons particulières, avantageuses ou préférées utilisables selon l'invention.
La figure 1 donne la teneur en molbdène de compositions selon l’invention et de compositions comparatives après 1 mois. La présente demande va maintenant être décrite à l’aide d’exemples non limitatifs.
Exemple 1 : Préparation de complexes dinucléaire de molybdène
Des complexes dinucléaire de molybdène sont obtenus par mélange de Mo03 avec les amines suivantes à température ambiante pendant 2 semaines. Le poids d’amine mise en oeuvre est égal à 3x(0,5/n)% n correspondant au nombre d’azote dans la molécule.

Des compositions lubrifiantes sont ensuite réalisées à partir de chacun des complexes obtenus en mélangeant une huile de base type PAO avec le complexe (de façon à avoir 400 ppm de Mo dans la composition lubrifiante) et 1% en poids de ZnDTP. Le mélange est chauffé pendant 30 min à 60°C.
Exemple 2 : Influence du ligand sur la stabilité du molybdène
Les compositions lubrifiantes obtenues à l’exemple 1 ont été conservées pendant plusieurs mois afin d’évaluer leur stabilité.
La quantité de Mo été mesurée après 1 mois, les résultats sont donnés à la figure 1 qui montre bien la stabilité des compositions de l’invention par rapport aux compositions comparatives.
Exemple 3 : Etude du coefficient de friction en fonction du temps
Les essais ont été effectués, pour chacune des compositions de l’exemple 1 , sur un tribomètre avec un contact bille (0 12 mm)-plan, tous deux en acier 100C6. Les conditions utilisées pour ces essais sont les suivantes : une charge normale de 7N, ce qui correspond à une pression de contact maximale de 540 MPa, une température de 1 10 °C, une vitesse de 5Hz, une amplitude de 5 mm. 5 cycles A/R sont réalisés en 1 s, ce qui correspond à 18000 cycles par heure.
Les résultats du coefficient de friction pour 10000 cycles sont les suivants :
Exemple 1 .1 : 0,045
Exemple 1 .2 : 0,045
Exemple 1 .3 : 0,04
Exemple 1 .4 : 0,03
Ces résultats montrent une réduction du coefficient de friction par les compositions de l’invention. Ce bas coefficient de friction est maintenu dans le temps.
Claims
1. Complexe dinucléaire du molybdène avec des ligands choisis parmi les amines tertiaires grasses de formule (I) :
dans laquelle:
R représente un alkyle, linéaire ou ramifié, comprenant de 3 à 30 atomes de carbone, de préférence de 3 à 20, avantageusement de 7 à 17 atomes de carbone ; n identique ou différent représente 2 ou 3 ;
R2 et R3, identiques ou différents, représentent un groupe O, OR, NR’2, COOR’, ou COO , où R’, identique ou différent, représente un atome d’hydrogène ou un métal alcalin ou alcalino-terreux, de préférence R’ est H, de préférence R2 et R3 identiques ou différents, représentent un groupe OH ou NH2.
2. Complexe selon la revendication 1 , dans lequel le composé de formule (I) est choisi parmi les composés suivants :
R étant tel que défini à la revendication 1.
3. Complexe selon la revendication 1 répondant à la formule (II)
dans laquelle R et n sont tels que défini à la revendication 1 et X représente O, OR, NR’2, COOR’, ou COO , où R’, identique ou différent, représente un atome d’hydrogène ou un métal alcalin ou alcalino-terreux, de préférence R’ est H, de préférence X est OH ou NH2.
4. Procédé de préparation d’un complexe selon l’une des revendications 1 à 3 comprenant le mélange entre un composé de molybdène et un composé de formule (I).
5. Composition lubrifiante comprenant :
- au moins une huile de base ;
- au moins un complexe dinucléaire du molybdène selon l’une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3.
6. Composition lubrifiante selon la revendication 5 comprenant en outre au moins un additif anti-usure, par exemple dithiophosphate de zinc.
7. Composition lubrifiante selon les revendications 5 ou 6 comprenant de 0,001 à 0,1% en poids de complexe dinucléaire de molybdène selon l’une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, par rapport au poids total de la composition.
8. Utilisation d’un complexe selon l’une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3 dans une composition lubrifiante comprenant au moins une huile de base pour abaisser le coefficient de frottement de la composition lubrifiante, et de préférence pour maintenir un bas coefficient de frottement dans le temps.

10. Utilisation d’une composition lubrifiante selon l’une des revendications 5 à 7 pour la lubrification d’un moteur, notamment d’un moteur à combustion interne.
11. Procédé de protection de la dégradation, notamment par hydrolyse, du molybdène d’une composition lubrifiante comprenant au moins une huile de base, comprenant la complexation dudit molybdène sous la forme d’un complexe dinucléaire avec au moins un composé de formule (I)
dans laquelle:
R représente un alkyle, linéaire ou ramifié, comprenant de 3 à 30 atomes de carbone, de préférence de 3 à 20, avantageusement de 7 à 17 atomes de carbone ; n identique ou différent représente 2 ou 3 ;
R2 et R3, identiques ou différents, représentent un groupe O, OR, NR’2, COOR’, ou COO , où R’, identique ou différent, représente un atome d’hydrogène ou un métal alcalin ou alcalino-terreux, de préférence R’ est H, de préférence R2 et R3 identiques ou différents, représentent un groupe OH ou NH2.
12. Procédé d’amélioration des propriétés de Fuel Eco d’une composition lubrifiante comprenant au moins une huile de base, comprenant l’addition, dans ladite composition lubrifiante d’un complexe dinucléaire selon l’une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3.
13. Procédé selon la revendication 12, dans lequel le complexe dinucléaire de molybdène est mis en oeuvre en une quantité de 100 ppm à 1000 ppm en molybdène, de préférence 400 à 800 ppm en molybdène, en poids par rapport au poids total de la composition lubrifiante.
