Abstract
撮像モジュールは、撮像素子と、発光素子と、撮像素子および発光素子を保持するケースと、を備える。ケースは、ケースの前面に開口する投光孔と、投光孔よりも後方に位置して発光素子を収容するライト収容部と、を有し、ライト収容部と投光孔とは、ケースの内部で連なるとともに、投光孔の後端部は発光素子の発光面に向けて開口している。投光孔の後端部の開口面積は発光素子の発光面の面積よりも小さい。
Description
本発明は、撮像モジュール及び内視鏡に関する。
本願は、2018年7月2日に日本に出願された特願2018-125901号について優先権を主張し、その内容をここに援用する。

従来から、下記特許文献1に示されるように、内視鏡などに用いられる撮像モジュールが知られている。この撮像モジュールは、撮像素子および発光素子と、これらの素子を保持するケースとを、備えている。ケースには、その前面から後方に向けて窪むライト収容部が形成されており、このライト収容部に発光素子が収容されている。
特許文献1に記載の撮像モジュールを組み立てる際、その構造上、ケースの前方側に向かって発光素子が脱落しやすいという問題がある。
本発明はこのような事情を考慮してなされ、発光素子が脱落するのを防止することができる撮像モジュール及び内視鏡を提供することを目的とする。
本発明の第一態様に係る撮像モジュールは、撮像素子と、発光素子と、前記撮像素子および前記発光素子を保持するケースと、を備え、前記ケースは、前記ケースの前面に開口する投光孔と、前記投光孔よりも後方に位置して前記発光素子を収容するライト収容部と、を有し、前記ライト収容部と前記投光孔とは、前記ケースの内部で連なるとともに、前記投光孔の後端部は前記発光素子の発光面に向けて開口し、前記投光孔の後端部の開口面積は前記発光素子の発光面の面積よりも小さい。
上記態様では、投光孔がライト収容部に連なるとともに、投光孔の後端部が発光素子の発光面に向けて開口している。このため、発光素子が発する光を、投光孔を通じて撮像モジュールの前方に出射させることができる。
そして、投光孔の後端部の開口面積は発光素子の発光面の面積よりも小さいため、発光素子が投光孔を通して撮像モジュールの前方へと脱落してしまうことも抑止できる。さらに、投光孔の後端部の開口面積は発光素子の発光面の面積よりも小さいため、発光素子の位置決めがしやすい。
そして、投光孔の後端部の開口面積は発光素子の発光面の面積よりも小さいため、発光素子が投光孔を通して撮像モジュールの前方へと脱落してしまうことも抑止できる。さらに、投光孔の後端部の開口面積は発光素子の発光面の面積よりも小さいため、発光素子の位置決めがしやすい。
前記投光孔は、前記投光孔の前側開口縁に向かうに従って前記投光孔の横断面積が大きくなるように傾斜したテーパ部を有していてもよい。
この場合、発光素子が発した光が、テーパ部に沿って広がりながら撮像モジュールの前方に照射される。このため、撮像対象物を、投光孔の前方の開口部より広い範囲で照らすことが可能となる。
前記テーパ部は、前記投光孔の後側開口縁から前側開口縁にかけて形成されていてもよい。
この場合、発光素子が発した光が、より直接的にテーパ部に沿って前方に出射される。したがって、より効率よく撮像対象物を照らすことが可能となる。
前記投光孔の内部には、透明樹脂が充填されていてもよい。
この場合、投光孔の内部に汚れなどが溜まることを抑止できる。
前記透明樹脂には、光拡散粒子が含まれていてもよい。
この場合、発光素子が発した光が、投光孔を通過する際に光拡散粒子によって拡散されるため、撮像対象物をより広い範囲で照らすことが可能となる。
前記発光面の面積A1および前記投光孔の前端部の開口面積A2が、A1≦A2を満足してもよい。
この場合、発光面よりも広い面積を有する投光孔の前方の開口を通して光を出射させることができる。つまり、発光素子の位置決めのしやすさと、撮像対象物への投光範囲の広さとを両立させることができる。
本発明の第二態様に係る内視鏡は、上記撮像モジュールを用いてもよい。
本発明の上記態様によれば、発光素子が脱落するのを防止することができる撮像モジュール及び内視鏡を提供することができる。
以下、本実施形態の撮像モジュール、および撮像モジュールを備えた内視鏡について図面に基づいて説明する。
図1に示すように、内視鏡1は、撮像モジュール2と、チューブ3と、を備えている。撮像モジュール2は、撮像素子4と、発光素子5(図2参照)と、撮像素子4および発光素子5を保持するケース10と、を備えている。ケース10の外径がチューブ3の外径と同等となるように、ケース10が略円柱状に形成されている。ケース10は、チューブ3の先端に取り付けられている。
図1に示すように、内視鏡1は、撮像モジュール2と、チューブ3と、を備えている。撮像モジュール2は、撮像素子4と、発光素子5(図2参照)と、撮像素子4および発光素子5を保持するケース10と、を備えている。ケース10の外径がチューブ3の外径と同等となるように、ケース10が略円柱状に形成されている。ケース10は、チューブ3の先端に取り付けられている。
(方向定義)
本実施形態では、ケース10の中心軸を中心軸Oという。また、中心軸Oに沿う方向を長手方向Xという。長手方向Xのうち、チューブ3から見たケース10側を前方(+X側)といい、ケース10から見たチューブ3側を後方(-X側)という。長手方向Xに直交する断面を横断面といい、横断面における面積を横断面積という。
本実施形態では、ケース10の中心軸を中心軸Oという。また、中心軸Oに沿う方向を長手方向Xという。長手方向Xのうち、チューブ3から見たケース10側を前方(+X側)といい、ケース10から見たチューブ3側を後方(-X側)という。長手方向Xに直交する断面を横断面といい、横断面における面積を横断面積という。
図1に示すように、撮像モジュール2は、発光素子5が発する光で内視鏡1の前方側を照射しつつ、撮像素子4で内視鏡1の前方側にある撮像対象物を撮像するように構成されている。また、ケース10には、このケース10を長手方向Xに沿って貫通する孔(チャネル11)が形成されている。チャネル11は、チューブ3の内部に連なっている。チャネル11内に処置具を収容することで、内視鏡1をカテーテルとして用いることができる。処置具としては、例えば、各種鉗子、スネア、ガイドワイヤ、ステント、レーザ処置具、高周波処置具等が挙げられる。
以下、各部の構成をより詳しく説明する。

(チューブ)
図1に示すように、チューブ3は、略円筒状に形成されている。チューブ3は、可撓性を有している。チューブ3の材質としては、シリコン、ポリウレタン、ポリエチレン、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)等の絶縁性を有する材質を用いることができる。なお、チューブ3として、金属材料を用いてもよい。チューブ3の内部には、撮像モジュール2の各種配線が挿通されている。
図1に示すように、チューブ3は、略円筒状に形成されている。チューブ3は、可撓性を有している。チューブ3の材質としては、シリコン、ポリウレタン、ポリエチレン、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)等の絶縁性を有する材質を用いることができる。なお、チューブ3として、金属材料を用いてもよい。チューブ3の内部には、撮像モジュール2の各種配線が挿通されている。
(撮像素子)
図1に示すように、撮像素子4は、ケース10に形成されたカメラ収容部12内に収容されている。撮像素子4としては、例えば、CMOS(相補型金属酸化膜半導体)などを用いることができる。撮像素子4には、不図示の配線が接続されており、この配線はケース10内およびチューブ3内に収容されている。
図1に示すように、撮像素子4は、ケース10に形成されたカメラ収容部12内に収容されている。撮像素子4としては、例えば、CMOS(相補型金属酸化膜半導体)などを用いることができる。撮像素子4には、不図示の配線が接続されており、この配線はケース10内およびチューブ3内に収容されている。
(発光素子)
図2に示すように、本実施形態の撮像モジュール2は、撮像素子4を挟んで、2つの発光素子5を有している。2つの発光素子5は、ケース10に形成された2つのライト収容部13内に、それぞれ収容されている。2つの発光素子5の構成は同様である。ただし、撮像モジュール2が有する発光素子5の数は適宜変更してもよいし、異なる構成の発光素子5を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
図2に示すように、本実施形態の撮像モジュール2は、撮像素子4を挟んで、2つの発光素子5を有している。2つの発光素子5は、ケース10に形成された2つのライト収容部13内に、それぞれ収容されている。2つの発光素子5の構成は同様である。ただし、撮像モジュール2が有する発光素子5の数は適宜変更してもよいし、異なる構成の発光素子5を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
図3に示すように、発光素子5としては、表面実装型の発光ダイオードなどを用いることができる。本実施形態の発光素子5は、厚さ0.25mm程度の平板状であり、長手方向Xの前方側から見て長方形状(矩形状)に形成されている。発光素子5は、前方を向く発光面5aを有している。発光素子5の発光面5aと反対の面5bには、配線6が半田等(図示略)で接続されている。図3では、配線6は2本であるが、配線6の数は適宜変更してもよい。図2に示すように、配線6は、チューブ3内に挿通されている。
(ケース)
図1に示すようにケース10は、チューブ3の前側の端部に取り付けられている。ケース10の前面10aは、長手方向Xの前方側から見て略円形状に形成されている。本実施形態のケース10は、ステンレスなどの金属材料を切削加工することで形成されている。ただし、ケース10の材質や加工方法は適宜変更可能である。
図1に示すようにケース10は、チューブ3の前側の端部に取り付けられている。ケース10の前面10aは、長手方向Xの前方側から見て略円形状に形成されている。本実施形態のケース10は、ステンレスなどの金属材料を切削加工することで形成されている。ただし、ケース10の材質や加工方法は適宜変更可能である。
図2に示すようにケース10には、チャネル11と、カメラ収容部12と、ライト収容部13と、投光孔14と、が形成されている。ライト収容部13および投光孔14は、撮像モジュール2が備える発光素子5の数にあわせて、それぞれ2つ形成されている。長手方向Xの前方側から見て、2つの投光孔14は、カメラ収容部12を挟んで配置されている。
チャネル11は、長手方向Xの前方側から見て略円形状に形成された貫通孔である。
カメラ収容部12は、長手方向Xの前方側から見て略正方形状に形成された貫通孔である。カメラ収容部12の内部に、撮像素子4が嵌合されている。カメラ収容部12の隅部には、ケース10を切削加工する際の逃げ形状が形成されている。カメラ収容部12と撮像素子4との間の隙間には、不図示の接着剤が充填されている。これにより、カメラ収容部12内の隙間が埋められるとともに、撮像素子4がケース10に固定される。
カメラ収容部12は、長手方向Xの前方側から見て略正方形状に形成された貫通孔である。カメラ収容部12の内部に、撮像素子4が嵌合されている。カメラ収容部12の隅部には、ケース10を切削加工する際の逃げ形状が形成されている。カメラ収容部12と撮像素子4との間の隙間には、不図示の接着剤が充填されている。これにより、カメラ収容部12内の隙間が埋められるとともに、撮像素子4がケース10に固定される。
図2に示すように、ライト収容部13は、ケース10の後端部から前方に向けて窪む凹部である。ライト収容部13は、投光孔14よりも後方に位置している。ライト収容部13の内部に、発光素子5が発光面を前方に向くようにして収容されている。長手方向Xの前方側から見て、ライト収容部13の内面と発光素子5との間には、隙間が設けられている。ライト収容部13の内面と発光素子5との間の隙間には、絶縁性の樹脂20が充填されている。
図4に示すように、ライト収容部13は、長手方向Xの前方側から見て、発光素子5よりも大きい略長方形状に形成されている。図4では、樹脂20の図示を省略する。

図2に示すように、投光孔14は、ケース10の前面10aから後方に向けて窪む凹部である。投光孔14は、ケース10の内部で、ライト収容部13に連なっている。投光孔14の後端部は、発光素子5の発光面5aに向けて開口している。言い換えれば、投光孔14とライト収容部13とが連なることで、ケース10を長手方向Xに沿って貫通する孔が形成される。
図2に示すように、投光孔14の内部には、透明樹脂7が充填されている。透明樹脂7としては、光透過性の高い樹脂を用いることができる。例えば、アクリルやUV硬化樹脂などが透明樹脂7として好適である。透明樹脂7は、撮像モジュール2を製造する際に、発光素子5がライト収容部13内に固定された後、投光孔14の内部に充填および硬化される。
透明樹脂7は、光を拡散させる性質を有する光拡散粒子を含んでいてもよい。光拡散粒子としては、アルミナ粒子などを好適に用いることができる。

図5に示すように、投光孔14は、ストレート部14aとテーパ部14bとを有している。ストレート部14aの内面は、長手方向Xに沿って平行に延びている。テーパ部14bのうち少なくとも一部の内面は、前側開口縁14dに向かうに従って投光孔14の横断面積が大きくなるように、長手方向Xに対して傾斜している。この形状により、投光孔14の前端部の開口面積(前側開口縁14dにおける投光孔14の横断面積)が、投光孔14の後端部の開口面積(後側開口縁14cにおける投光孔14の横断面積)よりも大きくなっている。また、発光面5aの面積A1および投光孔14の前端部の開口面積A2が、A1≦A2を満足している。
投光孔14の内面(ストレート部14aおよびテーパ部14bの内面)には、鏡面加工が施されていてもよい。これにより、発光素子5が発した光が、投光孔14を通過する際に投光孔14の内面で反射するため、減衰することが抑制され、より効率よく撮像対象物を照らすことができる。
図4及び図6に示すように、カメラ収容部12の後端および2つのライト収容部13の後端は、共通の凹部16に連なっている。凹部16は、ケース10の+X方向から-X方向に向けて窪むように形成されている。凹部16は、後方から見て略台形状に形成されている。ケース10を切削加工する場合、凹部16を形成してからカメラ収容部12およびライト収容部13を形成することで、カメラ収容部12およびライト収容部13を形成する際の加工時間を短縮することができる。特に、カメラ収容部12およびライト収容部13は、撮像素子4および発光素子5を位置決めする部位であるため、比較的高い加工精度が要求される場合がある。このような場合でも、本実施形態のように凹部16を設けることで、短い加工時間で高精度にケース10を形成することができる。
(突き当て面)
本実施形態では、図7に示すように、ライト収容部13と投光孔14とはケース10の内部で連なっており、ライト収容部13と投光孔14との接続部分には、後方を向く段差25が形成されている。本実施形態ではこの段差25を、発光素子5の発光面5aを突き当てる(接触させる)ための突き当て面13aとして用いている。
本実施形態では、図7に示すように、ライト収容部13と投光孔14とはケース10の内部で連なっており、ライト収容部13と投光孔14との接続部分には、後方を向く段差25が形成されている。本実施形態ではこの段差25を、発光素子5の発光面5aを突き当てる(接触させる)ための突き当て面13aとして用いている。
図7に示すように、突き当て面13aは、ライト収容部13の内面の一部である。突き当て面13aは、投光孔14の後側開口縁14cから外側に向かって広がるように延びている。この突き当て面13aに発光素子5の発光面5aが接することで、発光素子5の長手方向Xにおける位置が決まる。投光孔14の後端部の開口面積(後側開口縁14cにおける投光孔14の横断面積)は、発光面5aの面積よりも小さい。
本実施形態では、図4に示すように、投光孔14の後側開口縁14cおよび発光素子5の発光面5aがいずれも略長方形状に形成されている。そして、後側開口縁14cおよび発光面5aの長辺の寸法は同等であり、短辺の寸法も同等である。一方、投光孔14の後側開口縁14cは、隅部が曲線となった略長方形状に形成されている。そして、突き当て面13aのうち、上記曲線の外側の部分が、発光素子5の発光面5aに接している。このため、発光面5aの大部分は投光孔14に対向しており、発光面5aの角部5cが突き当て面13aに接することで、発光素子5の位置および姿勢が定まっている。図5では発光面5aが突き当て面13aに接していないように見えるが、これは、図4に示すように、発光面5aの角部5cのみが突き当て面13aに接しているためである。
(作用)
以上説明したように、本実施形態では、投光孔14がライト収容部13に連なるとともに、投光孔14の後端部が発光素子5の発光面5aに向けて開口している。このため、発光素子5が発する光を、投光孔14を通じて撮像モジュール2の前方に出射させることができる。

そして、投光孔14の後方の開口面積(後側開口縁14cの内側の面積)が、発光面5aの面積よりも小さくなっている構造であるため、例えば発光素子5が投光孔14を通して撮像モジュール2の前方へと脱落してしまうことも抑止できる。
また、投光孔14の後方の開口面積(後側開口縁14cの内側の面積)が、発光面5aの面積よりも小さくなるように、撮像モジュール2が構成されているため、撮像モジュール2を組み立てる際は、ケース10の後方から発光素子5をライト収容部13内に収容する手順を採用することができる。したがって、発光素子5の配線6をライト収容部13に挿通させる作業が不要となるとともに、ライト収容部13内に発光素子5を固定する作業も行いやすい。また、撮像素子4やチャネル11内に収容される処置具等もケース10の後方から取り付ける場合が一般的であるため、これらの部品と発光素子5とを同様に組み付けることが可能となる。
このように、上記態様の撮像モジュール2によれば、撮像モジュールの製造効率を向上させることができる。

また、投光孔14がテーパ部14bを有しているため、発光素子5が発した光がテーパ部14bに沿って広がりながら撮像モジュール2の前方に照射される。したがって、撮像対象物を、投光孔14の前方の開口部より広い範囲で照らすことが可能となる。
また、投光孔14の内部に透明樹脂7が充填されていることで、投光孔14の内部に汚れなどが溜まることを抑止できる。さらに、透明樹脂7が絶縁体として機能するため、発光素子5と撮像対象物とをより確実に絶縁することができる。
また、透明樹脂7に光拡散粒子が含まれる場合には、発光素子5が発した光が、投光孔14を通過する際に光拡散粒子によって拡散されるため、撮像対象物をより広い範囲で照らすことが可能となる。
また、投光孔14の後側開口縁14cは、隅部が曲線となった略長方形状に形成されている。そして、突き当て面13aのうち、上記曲線の外側の部分が、発光素子5の発光面5aに接している。この構成により、発光面5aの角部5cを突き当て面13aに突き当てつつ、角部5c以外の大部分を投光孔14に対向させることができる。したがって、発光素子5の位置決めを行いつつ、発光素子5が発した光をより効率よく投光孔14を通して前方に照射させることができる。
なお、本発明の技術的範囲は前記実施の形態に限定されず、本発明の趣旨を逸脱しない範囲において種々の変更を加えることが可能である。
例えば、投光孔14の形状を変更し、図8A~図8Cに示すような形状を採用してもよい。
図8Aでは、投光孔14がテーパ部14bを有さず、ストレート部14aのみによって構成されている。また、投光孔14の前側開口縁および後側開口縁の形状は互いに同様となっている。この場合、ケース10の加工がより容易になる。

図8Cでは、投光孔14がテーパ部14bを有さず、横断面積の異なる2つのストレート部14a1、14a2を有している。第2ストレート部14a2は、第1ストレート部14a1よりも前方に位置し、ケース10の前面10aに開口している。また、第2ストレート部14a2の横断面積は、第1ストレート部14a1の横断面積よりも大きい。この形状によれば、テーパ部14bを形成する場合と比較してケース10の加工が容易になるとともに、発光面5aの面積A1よりも投光孔14の前方の開口面積A2を大きくすることができる。
また、前記実施形態における投光孔14の後側開口縁14c(図4参照)は、隅部が曲線となった長方形状であったが、この後側開口縁の形状を変更してもよい。例えば、発光素子5の発光面5aが正方形状であるとき、後側開口縁14cを、発光面5aの形状における隅部を曲線とした略正方形状としてもよい。同様に、発光面5aがN角形状(多角形状)であるとき、後側開口縁14cを、上記N角形状の隅部を曲線とした形状としてもよい。これらの場合でも、発光面5aの角部5cを突き当て面13aに突き当てつつ、角部5c以外の大部分を投光孔14に対向させることができる。したがって、発光素子5の位置決めを行いつつ、発光素子5が発した光をより効率よく凹部を通して前方に照射させることができる。
また、投光孔14の後側開口縁14cは、曲線部を有していなくてもよい。後側開口縁14cの内側の面積(投光孔14の後方の開口面積)が、発光素子5の発光面5aの面積よりも小さければ、少なくとも発光面5aを突き当て面13aに突き当てて発光素子5の位置決めを行うことが可能となる。
その他、本発明の趣旨を逸脱しない範囲で、上記した実施の形態における構成要素を周知の構成要素に置き換えることは適宜可能であり、また、上記した実施形態や変形例を適宜組み合わせてもよい。
本発明によれば、発光素子が脱落するのを防止することができる撮像モジュールを提供することができる。
