Abstract
Description
ギミック表現のためのギミック印刷は、観察する者の目に直接照射する光による表現であるので、再帰反射要素が照射された光を反射する仕組みのほかに、電飾看板を利用することもできる。
電飾看板の場合、再帰反射メディアの代わりにバックライト(電飾)を点け、観察する者の目に直接照射する。バックライト(電飾)を点滅させたり光の強弱をつけ、この電飾看板の光をギミック印刷で図柄等を着色してギミック表現を行う。また、室外と室内との明暗差を使って太陽光を利用すると、室内から太陽光を見る時に、この太陽光をギミック印刷(図柄等)で着色してギミック表現ができる。
本発明では、一つの側からの観測を主にしているが、室外と室内との明暗差を使う場合には、両面(室外側と室内側の両面)から観測できるので、本発明における(白色の)光遮断層が、両面から見えるように、(白色の)光透過層302の裏側の光遮断層に対向する面に反射絵柄印刷を行うことができる。すなわち、実施例に示すように上面(第10図の上側)の反射絵柄印刷に加えて、光透過層302の裏側の光遮断層に対向する面(光遮断層の裏側が見える面から(例えば第10図の場合は下側)からも見えるように)反射絵柄印刷を行うと、室外側と室内側の両面から図柄の変化(反射光のバラエティが増し、さらなるギミックが楽しめる。
図1は、本発明の1番目の実施例であるギミック表現メディアの各層を機能別に分解して示す図、図2は、同実施例におけるギミック表現メディアの部分拡大断面図、図3(a)は、同実施例において通常(常時)見え方(表現)を示すメディアの平面図、図3(b)は、同実施例においてフラッシュ撮影の時の見え方(表現)を示すメディアの平面図、図4は、同実施例において、さらには、前記ギミック光透過層上にインクジェットで印刷される黒色インクでのギミックカムフラージュ層を示す部分拡大平面図である。
図を用いて、本発明の実施例としてのギミック表現メディア及びその製造方法を以下に説明する。
本実施例としてのギミック表現メディア100は、背面に黒色の反射層2を備え、再帰反射要素3を内包する再帰反射メディア1上に形成される各層から構成される。各層は、すなわち再帰反射メディア1上に配置され再帰反射メディア1の再帰反射光に色の変化を与えてギミック効果を演出するため所定のパターン4を備えた光透過性のギミック印刷層5、再帰反射メディア1の再帰反射光を部分的に遮断する光の遮断層6、及び光の遮断層6上に印刷され常時に反射絵柄7(文字やパターン等を含む)を見せる最前面の反射絵柄印刷層8である。
次に、本発明の別の実施例を説明する。図5(a)は、前述の実施例における工程説明図であり、(b)は本発明の別の実施例の工程説明図である。前述の実施例における同じ構成、工程は説明を略する。この実施例では、ギミック光透過層印刷工程と絵柄印刷工程とを、同一のインクジェットプリンタにより共通の印刷工程により一回の印刷で行なうものである。2つの絵柄(印刷パターン)をピッタリと合わせた1つのデータにしておけば、1回の印刷工程でズレなく印刷できる。本別の実施例の工程では再帰反射メディア1の上に、まず再帰反射光を部分的に遮断する光の遮断層6がインクジェット印刷により形成される(光遮断層印刷工程)。光の遮断層6は、再帰反射光遮断の効果を得るため白色インクを用いて行う。なお、光の遮断層6は後の工程のギミック光透過層印刷工程によるギミック印刷層5の印刷パターン部分を除いて形成され、重なり部分がないことが必要である。本実施例では、光の遮断層6がインクジェット印刷により白インクで2回印刷し充分な厚みの光の遮断層6を形成している。
次に、本発明の別の実施例を説明する。図6は、本発明の別の実施例であるギミック表現メディアにおいて通常(常時)見え方を表現する絵柄印刷層の反射色による反射色パターンの原画と、原画からストライプ状またはドット状の格子パターン有する反射色パターンを作成される様子を示している。図7は、同実施例においてフラッシュ撮影の時に表現する機能性メディアの光色パターンの原画と、原画からストライプ状またはドット状の格子パターンが作成される様子を示している。更に図8を用いて、本実施例のギミック表現メディアのギミック効果の具現を説明する。
図9は、本発明の4番目の実施例であるギミック表現メディアの製造方法の各工程を経て得られるギミック表現メディアを分解して示す図、図10は、同実施例におけるギミック表現メディアの部分拡大断面図である。本実施例中前述した部品と同じ構成については同一の部品番号を付して説明を略する。本製造方法で得ることができるギミック表現メディアの基本構成は、観察する者への表現として、ギミック媒体(印刷物)に通常照明下で見える反射絵柄印刷を見せておき、次に観察する者の目に直接照射する光による表現を行うために予め準備印刷しておいたギミック印刷により、反射絵柄印刷とは異なる表現を現出させてギミック表現を行うものである。

前記印刷用媒体の前記光透過層を部分的に覆って光を遮断する光遮断層を前記印刷用媒体に形成する光遮断層形成工程と、
前記光遮断層上に反射絵柄を形成する反射絵柄印刷工程と、
前記光透過層を透過する光に色の変化を与えて前記ギミック効果を演出するためのギミック印刷層を形成するギミック印刷工程と、
を有し、
前記光遮断層形成工程は、ストライプ状またはドット状の格子パターンを用いて前記印刷用媒体の前記光透過層を覆うように前記印刷用媒体の上に前記光遮断層を配置する工程とし、
前記反射絵柄と、前記ギミック印刷層と、を前記ストライプ状または前記ドット状の前記格子パターンで互いに隣接して配置し、前記反射絵柄を形成する前記反射絵柄印刷工程と前記ギミック印刷工程とを同一の印刷装置を用いて共通の画像データを用いて一つの工程で(1パス)で行う、ギミック表現メディアの製造方法。 - 前記印刷用媒体の前記光透過層は、反射光下では黒色反射する層である、請求項1に記載のギミック表現メディアの製造方法。
- 前記反射絵柄と前記ギミック印刷層との間に反射光下では黒色反射するネタバレ防止ゾーンを形成する工程を含む、請求項1または2に記載のギミック表現メディアの製造方法。
- 前記光透過層を透過する光を、紫外線発光体、蓄光体、ソルバトクロミック蛍光色素、応力発光体、再帰反射媒体、自然太陽光のいずれかにより得る、請求項1から3のいずれかに記載のギミック表現メディアの製造方法。
- 印刷用媒体にギミック効果を演出する印刷層をプリントするギミック表現メディアの製造方法であって、
前記印刷用媒体に発光インクを用いて前記ギミック効果を演出するためのギミック印刷層を形成するギミック印刷工程と、
前記印刷用媒体を部分的に覆う光遮断層を前記印刷用媒体に形成する光遮断層形成工程と、
前記光遮断層上に反射絵柄を形成する反射絵柄印刷工程と、
を有し、
前記光遮断層形成工程は、ストライプ状またはドット状の格子パターンを用いて前記印刷用媒体の一部を覆うように前記印刷用媒体の上に前記光遮断層を配置する工程とし、
前記反射絵柄と、前記ギミック印刷層とは、前記ストライプ状またはドット状の前記格子パターンによって隣接して配置し、前記反射絵柄を形成する前記反射絵柄印刷工程と前記ギミック印刷工程とを、同一の印刷装置を用いて共通の画像データを用いて一つの工程で(1パス)で行う、ギミック表現メディアの製造方法。 - 前記印刷用媒体の前記光透過層は、反射光下では黒色反射する層である、請求項5に記載のギミック表現メディアの製造方法。
- 前記反射絵柄と前記ギミック印刷層との間に反射光下では黒色反射するネタバレ防止ゾーンを形成する工程を含む、請求項5または6に記載のギミック表現メディアの製造方法。
- 前記発光インクを、紫外線発光体、蓄光体、ソルバトクロミック蛍光色素、応力発光体、のいずれかを含むインクとした、請求項5から7のいずれかに記載のギミック表現メディアの製造方法。
- 印刷用媒体にギミック効果を演出する印刷層をプリントするギミック表現メディアを印刷するためのデータ処理方法であって、
前記印刷用媒体を部分的に覆う光遮断層の上に反射絵柄を形成する反射絵柄印刷用の印刷データと、
前記ギミック効果を演出するためのギミック印刷のためのギミック印刷データと、を作成するに際して、
前記反射絵柄印刷用の印刷データと前記ギミック印刷のための前記ギミック印刷データとをストライプ状またはドット状の格子パターンを用いて互いに隣接させて一つの共通の画像データに組み合わせて印刷データを形成して、同一の印刷装置を用いて一つの工程で(1パス)で前記反射絵柄印刷と前記ギミック印刷とを行う印刷データ構成とした、ギミック表現メディア用のデータ処理方法 - 前記反射絵柄と前記ギミック印刷との間に反射光下では黒色反射するネタバレ防止ゾーンを設けた印刷データを形成する、請求項9に記載のギミック表現メディア用のデータ処理方法。
- ギミック印刷工程及び反射絵柄印刷工程は、同一のインクジェット印刷工程用の印刷データである、請求項9または10に記載のギミック表現メディア用のデータ処理方法。
