Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for reducing the occurrence of cracks during spot welding of a galvanized steel sheet.
- coated steel sheets which are treated with zinc-plated high-strength steels (AHSS: Advnaced High Strength Steels) are mainly used for automobile materials.
- AHSS zinc-plated high-strength steels
- the zinc-plated AHSS has an excellent strength and ductility because it has a transformed structure formed at a low temperature, and at the same time has an excellent corrosion resistance due to the sacrificial anode corrosion of zinc.
- Patent Documents 1 to 3 a method of controlling the welding current pattern is most commonly used to improve the welding strength.
- Patent Documents 4 to 6 it is not a root solution.
- LME molten metal
- the temperature of the steel rises due to resistance heat as the current is applied, and the zinc having a low melting point starts melting. Then, the steel is transformed into austenite, and the lower the austenite forming temperature is, the longer the contact time of the austenite structure of the molten zinc with the steel becomes. In this case, when thermal stress and external stress are applied, the austenite grain in the portion where the stress is concentrated is glided and deformed. At this time, if the interface energy between the steel and the molten zinc is lower than the austenite grain boundary energy, the molten zinc penetrates into the austenite grain boundary, and grain boundary cracks occur.
- FIG. 1 shows a result of analyzing large cracks and microcracks when a commercially available zinc-plated AHSS with a tensile strength of 1200 MPa is welded, and a large amount of zinc is detected in the cracked region.
- the first is the inhibition of the appearance of austenite. As the welding temperature rises to the melting point during welding, the austenite appearance in the steel can not be prevented, and the more the alloy elements such as C and Mn, the lower the A3 temperature. Therefore, high-alloyed zinc-plated AHSS is more easily cracked by LME because of the appearance of austenite at lower temperatures.
- the second method is to reduce the plating thickness to increase the melting temperature of zinc or to reduce the amount of molten zinc, which is closely related to the corrosion resistance and the workability of the steel sheet, and is not easy to raise due to the plating cost. Finally, although it is intended to reduce external stress, it is not easy to relate quality and quality of weld joints.

Abstract
Description

도금층 내 Fe 평균 농도 = Fe(%)/(Fe(%)+Zn(%))
