Definitions
- the present invention relates to a filament winding apparatus for winding a fiber bundle around a liner.
- Patent documents 1 and 2 disclose a filament winding apparatus for winding a plurality of fiber bundles around a liner.
- the filament winding apparatus comprises a helical winding head for helically winding a fiber bundle to a liner.
- the helical winding head described in Patent Document 1 has a plurality of guide members which are respectively arranged radially extending in the radial direction of the liner and which guide the plurality of fiber bundles to the liner.
- the helical winding head also has a moving mechanism for moving each guide member in the radial direction, a rotation mechanism for rotating each guide member with the longitudinal direction of each guide member as the rotation axis direction, and a control unit.
- the guide member has two side portions facing each other, and a bottom portion disposed between the two side portions and capable of guiding while bringing a traveling fiber bundle into contact. That is, the guide member is U-shaped in cross section, and the internal space of the guide member is open. Falling of the fiber bundle due to lifting of the running fiber bundle from the bottom is suppressed as follows. That is, the control unit controls the rotation mechanism according to the winding direction of the fiber bundle on the liner, etc., whereby the direction of the guide member is adjusted such that the running fiber bundle is pressed to the bottom.
- the guide member is provided with a dropout prevention member formed of a heat-shrinkable tube or the like.
- the dropout prevention member is adhered to a part of the guide member in the longitudinal direction, and prevents the fiber bundle from falling off from the guide member when the fiber bundle is not traveling, such as during maintenance of the helical winding head.
- the helical winding head described in Patent Document 2 has a guide ring formed with a plurality of guide holes for guiding a plurality of fiber bundles respectively to the liner, and an opening disposed downstream of the guide holes in the traveling direction of the fiber bundles. And a fiber guide.
- the opening guide has two opening rollers aligned in the traveling direction. By the fiber bundle traveling between the two opening rollers while being in contact with the two opening rollers, it is possible to prevent the fiber bundle from falling off from the traveling path of the fiber bundle.
- the fiber bundle during traveling may not be pressed against the bottom and may be lifted from the bottom.
- the dropout prevention member is provided for preventing dropout of the fiber bundle which is not traveling. Since a predetermined tension is usually applied to the running fiber bundle, when the running fiber bundle floats up from the bottom surface and hits the drop prevention member, the drop prevention member is broken by the fiber bundle, and the fiber bundle May fall off the guide member.
- An object of the present invention is to prevent a fiber bundle during traveling from falling off a guide member while suppressing an increase in size of the guide member.

- the fiber bundle is guided in contact with the first guide surface and the second guide surface formed in the direction opposite to the first guide surface in the height direction.
- the first guide surface restricts the fiber bundle from rising, so that the fiber bundle can be prevented from falling off.
- the two side walls can prevent the fiber bundle from falling off.
- the plurality of guides can be arranged to at least partially overlap in the height direction of the side wall. Therefore, an increase in size in the height direction of the side wall can be suppressed.
- the plurality of guides are fixed to the two side walls. That is, it is not a configuration like a roller that rotates following the traveling fiber bundle. For this reason, the size of the guide portion can be reduced.
- the filament winding device is the filament winding device according to the first aspect, wherein the downstream end of the first guiding portion in the fiber bundle traveling direction is the other in the height direction toward the downstream side. It is characterized in that it is curved toward the side.
- the fiber bundle can smoothly travel toward the second guide surface along the curved surface of the downstream end of the first guide surface, when the fiber bundle moves from the first guide portion to the second guide portion In addition, damage to the fiber bundle can be suppressed.

- FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view of the guide member 43 orthogonal to the width direction shown in FIG. 7 (a) shows a state in which the fiber bundle F normally travels, and
- FIG. 7 (b) shows a state in which the fiber bundle F is lifted from the guide member 43.
- the guide member 43 has two side walls 81 and three guide portions 82.
- the longitudinal direction of the two side walls 81 is taken as the fiber bundle traveling direction (note that the fiber bundle traveling direction in the guide member 43 coincides with the radial direction of the liner L).
- the upstream side and the downstream side in the fiber bundle traveling direction are simply referred to as the upstream side and the downstream side, respectively.
- the direction in which the two side walls 81 are aligned is taken as the width direction of the guide member 43.
- the direction perpendicular to both the radial direction of the liner L and the width direction of the guide member 43 is taken as the height direction of the two side walls (hereinafter, simply referred to as the height direction).
- upper and lower are defined in the height direction.
- upper and lower indicate upper and lower in the height direction, respectively.
- these directions do not necessarily indicate the direction in which gravity acts.
- the guide member 43 includes the fiber bundle F by three guides 82 (a first guide 83, a second guide 84, and a third guide 85, which will be described in detail later) disposed between two side walls 81. Guide to the downstream side.
- the guide member 43 is, for example, a member made of steel (for example, carbon steel, alloy steel, etc.) in which two side walls 81 and three guide portions 82 are integrally formed.
- the guide member 43 is manufactured, for example, by cutting one rod-like member.
- the guide member 43 may be integrally formed by casting.
- the portion on the upstream side of the portion shown in FIGS. 6 and 7 of the guide member 43 is so long as to be able to rotate smoothly in the through hole 52b of the ball nut 52 of the moving mechanism 47 described above.
- the cross section orthogonal to is curved like a circular arc.
- the two side walls 81 are portions for preventing the falling of the fiber bundle F in the width direction and fixing the three guides 82.
- the two side walls 81 face each other side by side in the width direction, and extend substantially parallel to each other along the fiber bundle traveling direction.
- the size in the height direction of the two side walls 81 gradually becomes smaller toward the downstream side (ie, inward in the radial direction of the liner) (see FIG. 7).
- the size in the height direction of the downstream end of the two side walls 81 is, for example, about 5 mm.
- the size of the guide member 43 in the width direction is determined by the distance between the two side walls 81 in the width direction, and the size of the guide member 43 in the height direction is determined by the size of the two side walls 81 in the height direction.
- the size in the height direction of the guide member 43 is smaller than the size in the width direction (see FIG. 6).
- the first guiding portion 83 is a portion disposed between the two side walls 81 and fixed to the two side walls 81.
- the first guiding portion 83 extends from the upstream end of the two side walls 81 to the downstream side of the central portion in the fiber bundle traveling direction. In other words, the first guide portion 83 extends over a half or more area of the guide member 43 in the fiber bundle traveling direction.
- a first guide surface 83a (see thick line in FIG. 7) with which the traveling fiber bundle F comes in contact is formed. That is, the first guide surface 83a faces upward. In other words, in the fiber bundle traveling direction, the upper space is open at the position where the first guide surface 83a is formed.
- the downstream end of the first guiding portion 83 is smoothly curved downward as it goes downstream. For this reason, it is prevented that the fiber bundle F is rubbed at the corner when it leaves the first guiding portion.
- the cross section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the first guide surface 83a is linear.
- the second guiding portion 84 is a portion fixed between the two side walls 81 as in the case of the first guiding portion 83.
- the second guide portion 84 has a substantially trapezoidal cross section perpendicular to the width direction (see FIG. 7).
- the second guiding portion 84 is disposed more downstream than the first guiding portion 83.
- a space through which the fiber bundle F can pass is formed between the first guide portion 83 and the second guide portion 84.
- the second guiding portion 84 partially overlaps the first guiding portion 83 in the height direction.
- a second guiding surface 84a (see thick line in FIG. 7) with which the fiber bundle F contacts is formed. That is, the second guide surface 84a faces downward. That is, the second guide surface 84a is formed in the opposite direction to the first guide surface 83a. Further, the second guide surface 84a is disposed below the first guide surface 83a. Both ends of the second guide portion 84 in the fiber bundle traveling direction are smoothly curved. That is, the upstream end of the second guide portion 84 is curved upward as it goes upstream. Further, the downstream end of the second guide portion 84 is curved upward as it goes downstream.
- the cross section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the 2nd guide surface 84a is linear form (illustration omitted).
- the third guiding portion 85 is a portion fixed between the two side walls 81 as in the case of the first guiding portion 83 and the second guiding portion 84.
- the third guide portion 85 is a portion having a substantially elliptical cross section perpendicular to the width direction (see FIG. 7).
- the third guiding portion 85 is disposed further downstream than the second guiding portion 84, and is fixed to the downstream end of the two side walls 81.
- a space through which the fiber bundle F can pass is formed between the second guide portion 84 and the third guide portion 85.
- the third guiding portion 85 partially overlaps the first guiding portion 83 and the second guiding portion 84 in the height direction.
- a third guiding surface 85a (see thick lines in FIG. 7) with which the fiber bundle F comes in contact is formed. That is, the third guide surface 85a faces upward similarly to the first guide surface 83a.
- the third guide surface 85a is disposed above the second guide surface 84a. Both end portions of the third guiding portion 85 in the fiber bundle traveling direction are smoothly curved in the same manner as the second guiding portion 84. That is, the upstream end of the third guiding portion 85 is curved downward as it goes upstream. Further, the downstream end of the third guiding portion 85 is curved downward as it goes downstream.
- the cross section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the 3rd guide surface 85a is linear form (illustration omitted).
- the guide member 43 is formed by fixing the three guides 82 to the two side walls 81. That is, the first guide portion 83, the second guide portion 84, and the third guide portion 85 are not members that rotate like rollers. The first guide 83, the second guide 84, and the third guide 85 partially overlap each other in the height direction when viewed from the longitudinal direction. Therefore, the size of the guide member 43 in the height direction is suppressed to a small size.
- the fiber bundle F is guided to the downstream side by the 1st guide part 83, the 2nd guide part 84, and the 3rd guide part 85 sequentially from the upstream side. Specifically, first, the fiber bundle F travels while in contact with the first guide surface 83a. Next, the fiber bundle F leaves the first guide surface 83a, reaches the downstream second guide portion 84, and travels in contact with the second guide surface 84a. Furthermore, the fiber bundle F leaves the second guide surface 84a, reaches the downstream third guide portion 85, and travels in contact with the third guide surface 85a. Thus, the fiber bundle F is guided to be sewn from the first guide surface 83a to the third guide surface 85a. The fiber bundle F travels further downstream (liner side) after being separated from the third guide surface 85a.
- the ends of the first guide 83, the second guide 84, and the third guide 85 in the fiber bundle traveling direction are curved, so that the fiber bundle F separates from each guide or reaches each guide When the fiber bundle F travels smoothly. Further, a predetermined tension is applied to the running fiber bundle F by a tension applying unit (not shown). Thereby, the fiber bundle F is widened by traveling while in contact with each guide surface. The widened fiber bundle is wound around the liner L.
- the control device 5 adjusts the rotation angle of the guide member 43 so that the fiber bundle F travels while always in contact with the third guide surface 85a (see FIG. 7A). Specifically, as described above, the control device 5 controls the guide rotation motor 46 to rotate the guide member 43 in accordance with the winding direction of the fiber bundle F or the like. However, for example, when a control error or the like occurs, as shown in FIG. 7B, the fiber bundle F may be lifted upward from the third guide surface 85a. However, even if the fiber bundle F floats upward, the second guiding surface 84 a located above the fiber bundle F restricts further upward floating. This prevents the fiber bundle F from falling upward.
- the fiber bundle F when the fiber bundle F is lifted from the second guide surface 84a due to some reason, the fiber bundle F drops downward by the first guide surface 83a and the third guide surface 85a. Is prevented. In the width direction, the two side walls 81 prevent the fiber bundle F from falling off.
- the size in the height direction of the guide member 43 is smaller than the size in the width direction. Therefore, when the plurality of guide members 43 gather inward in the radial direction (see FIG. 3B), each guide member 43 is arranged such that the height direction of the side wall 81 of each guide member 43 is along the circumferential direction of the liner L. By rotating the guide members 43, the guide members 43 are less likely to interfere with each other. Furthermore, the size in the height direction of the two side walls 81 is constant because the size in the height direction of the two side walls 81 decreases toward the downstream side (that is, inward in the radial direction of the liner) As compared with the above, the guide members 43 are less likely to interfere with each other.
- the fiber bundle F is formed in the same direction as the first guide surface 83a, the second guide surface 84a formed in the opposite direction to the first guide surface 83a, and the first guide surface 83a. 3 and guided while being in contact with the guide surface 85a.
- the second guide surface 84a restricts the lifting of the fiber bundle F, so that the fiber bundle F can be prevented from falling off.
- the first guide surface 83a and the third guide surface 85a restrict the lifting of the fiber bundle F, so that the fiber bundle F falls off. Can be prevented.
- the two side walls 81 can prevent the fiber bundle F from falling off.
- the plurality of guides 82 can be disposed so as to at least partially overlap, the size of the side wall 81 in the height direction can be reduced.
- the plurality of guides 82 are fixed to the two side walls. That is, it is not a configuration like a roller that rotates following the traveling fiber bundle. Therefore, the size of the guide portion 82 can be reduced in the height direction.
- the guide portion 82 is a roller
- the fibers may be wound around the roller.
- the guide portion 82 is fixed to the two side walls, the problem as described above can be prevented.
- the downstream end of the first guiding portion 83 is smoothly curved downward as it goes downstream. Therefore, the fiber bundle F can travel smoothly toward the second guide 84 along the curved surface of the downstream end of the first guide 83. Therefore, when the fiber bundle moves from the first guide portion 83 to the second guide portion 84, damage to the fiber bundle F can be suppressed.
- both end portions of the second guide portion 84 in the fiber bundle traveling direction are smoothly curved. Therefore, when the traveling fiber bundle F contacts the upstream end of the second guide 84 or when it leaves the downstream end of the second guide 84, it can travel smoothly along the curved surface. , Damage to the fiber bundle can be suppressed.
- the second guide surface 84 a is opposite to the first guide surface 83 a in the height direction, and is disposed lower than the first guide surface 83 a.
- the third guide surface 85a is opposite to the second guide surface 84a in the height direction, and is disposed above the second guide surface 84a. That is, the fiber bundle F is guided so as to be sewn from the first guide portion 83 to the third guide portion 85. Therefore, the fiber bundle can be run stably.
- both end portions of the third guide portion 85 in the fiber bundle traveling direction are curved smoothly. Therefore, when the traveling fiber bundle comes in contact with the upstream end of the third guide 85 or when it leaves the downstream end of the third guide 85, it can travel smoothly along the curved surface. Damage to the fiber bundle F can be suppressed.
- each guide member 43 gather inward in the radial direction by the moving mechanism 47, each guide member 43 is rotated so that the height direction of the side wall 81 of each guide member 43 is along the circumferential direction of the liner L. By rotating by 48, it is possible to make the guide members less likely to interfere with each other.
- the guide member 43 is formed of steel and has high strength and high rigidity. Therefore, even if the tension of the fiber bundle F acts on the guide member 43, the guide member 43 is not easily broken because of its high strength. Moreover, since the guide member 43 is hard to bend because of its high rigidity, interference between the plurality of guide members 43 can be suppressed.
- the plurality of guides 82 are integrally formed with the two side walls 81 (i.e., seamlessly). Therefore, for example, the strength of the guide member 43 can be further improved as compared with the case where the guide member 43 is formed by bonding, welding or the like (that is, having a joint).
- the guide member 43 is provided with the first guide portion 83, the second guide portion 84, and the third guide portion 85 as the guide portion 82, but Is not limited. That is, as shown in FIG. 8, in the guide member 90, only two of the first guide portion 83 and the second guide portion 84 may be provided as the guide portions 82. Even in such a configuration, when the fiber bundle F tries to float upward, the second guide surface 84 a prevents the fiber bundle F from being dropped upward. Conversely, even if the fiber bundle F tries to move downward, the first guide surface 83a prevents the fiber bundle F from falling downward. In this manner, the fiber bundle F can be prevented from falling off while simplifying the structure of the guide member.
- the end portions of the plurality of guide portions 82 of the guide member 43 in the fiber bundle traveling direction are curved, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
- the end of each guide may be a tapered surface or the like.
- the size of the side wall 81 of the guide member 43 in the height direction is smaller toward the downstream side, but is not limited thereto.
- the size of the side wall 81 in the height direction may be constant.
- the guide member 43 may not necessarily be made of steel as long as it is a member having a strength not to be damaged by the tension applied to the fiber bundle F or the like.
- the two side walls 81 of the guide member 43 and the plurality of guides 82 may not necessarily be integrally formed.
- the plurality of guides 82 may be fixed to the two side walls 81 by welding, adhesion or the like.
