L'invention concerne un procédé de démontage de moyens de suspension et de traction (60) destinés à retenir et à déplacer une cabine d'ascenseur (20) depuis une cage d'ascenseur (12) d'un système d'ascenseur (10), le procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes : - la mise en place de la cabine d'ascenseur (20) de sorte que les moyens de suspension et de traction (60) soient détendus pour retirer des raccords d'extrémité côté cabine des moyens de suspension et de traction (60) et que le contrepoids (30) repose sur une surface ; - le blocage de la cabine d'ascenseur (20) dans la cage d'ascenseur (12) de sorte qu'aucun mouvement descendant de la cabine d'ascenseur (20) ne soit possible ; - la désolidarisation des raccords d'extrémité côté cabine des moyens de suspension et de traction (60) ; - l'extraction de tous les moyens de suspension et de traction (60), à l'exception d'un premier moyen de suspension et de traction (60) des moyens de suspension et de traction (60), hors d'une poulie de traction de machine (40) et/ou d'une poulie de déviation (45) du système d'ascenseur (10) ; la désolidarisation de tous les moyens de suspension et de traction (60) du contrepoids (30) ; - la fourniture d'une bobine (50) destinée à enrouler le premier moyen de suspension et de traction (60) ; - l'actionnement d'un moteur du système d'ascenseur (10) destiné à entraîner la poulie de traction de machine (40) dans une cabine d'ascenseur (20) vers le bas pour soulever le premier moyen de suspension et de traction (60) de la cage d'ascenseur (12) et pour enrouler le premier moyen de suspension et traction (60) sur la bobine (50).
