Definitions
- the present invention is a label that can be arranged on elongate objects such as laces, cables, straws, tubes, wires and the like.
- the label has a labeled part, which does not rest against the elongate object.
- WO 2008/141885 A describes a plastic shield, which is wrapped over the entire surface in metal. It should serve to identify electrical components. In the unused state this is
- the production of such a metal-coated plastic shield is expensive and the plastic shield is not very flexible. In particular repeated bending stress leads to a break.
- EP 2 833 341 A1 discloses a label consisting of a strip of material which can be broken off by a whole series of similar strips arranged parallel to each other.
- the individual strip then has, in addition to a strip-shaped inscription carrier, an eye-like opening through which the inscription carrier can be guided.
- the label carrier has lateral thickenings, which act as detent points in the eye-like opening.
- For mounting the strip-shaped label carrier is placed around the cable and passed through the eyelet. A release of the strip from the cable is prevented by the thickening, which prevent slipping back of the label carrier in the eyelet.
- Known, particularly simple label carrier and labels provide to be folded centrally as a simple strip. In this fold then comes the elongated object to lie to which the label is attached.
- the strips are coated on one side with adhesive, so that the two superimposed sides adhere to each other by means of the adhesive.
- the entire strip is coated with a similar adhesive. Often this is protected by a protective film against accidental sticking.
- the label according to the invention consists in its simplest embodiment of a pliable flat material with a folding area and two Adhesive areas on the same side of the label, wherein the folding area separates the adhesive areas and wherein the label can be folded around an elongate object so that the two adhesive areas of the label are congruent to each other and adhere to each other, wherein at least one of the adhesive areas is coated with adhesive or both adhesive areas are coated with components which produce an adhesive effect on contact,
- a folding aid is arranged, which extended the folding of the label around the longitudinal Subject supported.
- objects which are elongate objects are to be regarded as having a pronounced extent in a preferred direction. These are, for example, cords, cables, straws, tubes, wires and the like.
- an elongate object has an axial extension in said preferred direction.
- the label according to the invention is now wrapped around the elongate object and then preferably extends perpendicular to the axial extent of the elongate object.
- the elongated object is a flexible elongated object, for example a cord, a strand or a cable of small cross-sectional area (preferably less than 20 mm 2 , more preferably less than 15 mm 2 and most preferably less than 10 mm 2) .
- the cross section of the elongated object is preferably circular. However, other, in particular elliptical or polygonal cross sections are possible.
- any material can be used that with sufficient durability by imprint or otherwise (eg. Sewing, embroidery, embossing) can be provided with a visually detectable information.
- Paper, textile, leather, artificial leather, felt, plastic film, neoprene or combinations of these materials are particularly preferred as pliable flat material.
- Particularly preferred are laminated or otherwise protected against environmental influences (eg gummed or by wax coating) protected paper or textile and neoprene.
- the pliable sheet material of the label can be present in principle in any desired shape, which corresponds to the purpose of the label.
- a strip-like design with parallel edges optionally with a broadening or narrowing in the folding area.
- Fold area is the portion of the label in which a curvature occurs when it is wrapped around the elongate object.
- the strip-like design at the corners on chamfers or rounding since it has been shown that the corners are otherwise less resistant to mechanical stresses.
- a strip for example.
- a waving flag or as a circular, polygonal or elliptical or otherwise rounded shapes. It is characteristic that the label around the folding area is mirror-symmetrical, so that a congruent gluing is possible after folding around the elongated object, without one of the two adhesive areas protruding from the other.
- the adhesive in the adhesive areas of the label is selected from the appropriate adhesives known in the art. It is particularly possible, both adhesives that realize a permanent bond, and adhesives that can be deducted with sufficient force, use. Furthermore, it is possible to provide components of an adhesive on the two adhesive areas, which form the adhesive by chemical reaction or physical effects only when the two adhesive surfaces come into contact. Particularly preferred are adhesives that are already used for the production of peelable stickers. These advantageously make it possible to arrange one or more labels on a carrier substrate, from which they can easily be peeled off and supplied for use. Such combinations of adhesives and carrier substrates
- Labels according to the prior art are often formed as one-sided, full surface provided with adhesive strips. Daily use shows that such labels are very difficult to put around an elongated object so that the bonding of the two gluing areas can really be made congruent.
- the invention is therefore intended to provide a material thickening in the folding area. This is preferably done by arranging at least one additional layer of material on one or both sides of the unfolded label in the folding area as a folding aid.
- the folding aid has at least a length which is greater than half the circumference of the elongate object. In principle, however, the length of the folding aid can also deviate from it, in particular be larger.
- the width of the folding aid preferably corresponds to the width of the label. However, it is also possible, the folding aid narrower (then stands in the curvature material of the label over) or wider
- the folding aid is preferably carried out in the form of a strip or matching with the contour of the label insert or an additional layer.
- the folding aid is not designed as a full-surface material thickening or layer, but is broken through and thus has one or more openings.
- These designs are particularly suitable for folding aids on the longitudinally extended object side facing away. However, they can also be used on the side facing the elongated object if it is ensured that no adhesive passes through the openings.
- the folding aid consists of the same material as the label itself. In a further preferred embodiment, however, it may also be other foldable materials, preferably plastic (plastic film) or metal (thin metal sheets / metal foil). In a folding aid made of a plastically deformable material
- the folding aid can be a beneficial Clamping effect, by which the label is held at an axial position on the elongate object, but if necessary manually can be moved axially with little effort.
- This axial displaceability advantageously makes it possible to adapt the position of the label on the elongated object to changing requirements.
- several labels can be distributed evenly on the elongated object and, with the addition of new labels, redistributed by shifting.
- the folding aid is arranged on the side of the label, which faces the elongate object. This advantageously makes it possible for the folding aid on the unfolded label to be held by the same adhesive layer which serves to join the two adhesive areas outside the fold area.
- the folding aid can also be arranged on the side facing away from the longitudinally extended article of the label.
- the folding aid in which the folding aid is arranged on the side of the label facing away from the longitudinally extended object, the folding aid can be removed after the label has been attached.
- a folding aid is arranged on both sides of the label in the folding area.
- These two folding aids can consist of different or the same material.
- a paper folding aid which can be well held by the adhesive layer of the label, while on the outside of a metallic or existing plastic folding aid is arranged, which is well plastically deformable is and thus achieved a good clamping effect.
- the dimensions of the folding aids on the inside and the outside need not be identical.
- the folding aids can be made even multi-layered.
- plastic-coated paper wherein the plastic-coated side of the paper is preferably facing the elongated object.
- the folding aid is provided with Faltgargonne.
- Faltgargonne dilute the material of the folding aid in the folding area such that a symmetrical folding of the folding aid, and thus the label is facilitated to the longitudinally extended object.
- the fold impressions are preferably one or more indentations running parallel to the longitudinal axis of the elongated object.
- the Faltgargonne run over the entire height (corresponds to the width of the label) or at least a greater part of the height of the folding aid.
- the labels according to the invention may be arranged individually or in a plurality on a carrier substrate.
- the label according to the invention is applied by being wrapped around the elongate object and the two adhesive areas are congruent to each other.
- the adhesive which then lies between the two adhesive areas of the label these are releasably or permanently (depending on the type of adhesive) fixed to each other.
- the elongated object is then enclosed in the fold area by the label, while the part of the adhesive areas protrudes from the elongate object.
- a preferred method for producing the label according to the invention provides to print the sheet-like label material on one side.
- a plurality of strip-shaped labels preferably lies next to one another in parallel on a material sheet.
- the side facing away from the printed side fully coated with adhesive.
- the folding aids are inserted as vorge ceremoniesgter continuous strip of metal in the folding areas.
- the carrier substrate is applied to the adhesive side.
- the label outlines and also the folding aids are so pre-punched by means of a punching device that they are held only by the adhesion to the carrier substrate and no longer to the laterally surrounding material. Now access to each label is possible by targeted detachment from the carrier substrate.
- the labels are prefabricated (one by one or several) in the manner of known stickers on a carrier substrate.
- a folding aid now the part of the carrier substrate is used, which is arranged in the folding area of the label.
- the carrier substrate in the folding area circumscribes or circumscribes so extensively that a defined breaking out is possible.
- the region of the carrier substrate which lies in the fold region is also severed.
- This part of the carrier substrate realizes the material thickening according to the invention.
- this procedure can be supplemented by an embossing step, preferably during the punching process or by placing a folding aid on the front or back of the label.
- the label according to the invention is preferably used to provide cords located on luggage with signs already visited travel destinations.
- the cords may already be provided by the manufacturer (for example, pull cords for firing backpacks) or they may be additionally attached for collecting labels according to the invention.
- the label according to the invention is also preferred on electrical lines, such as charging cables of smartphones, tablets or laptops or cables of earphones or headsets used. characters

- Fig. 11 shows schematically the arrangement of several inventive labels 1 on a common carrier.
- the labels are arranged in the manner of the usual sticker in a common surface 15 from which they are dissolved out for assembly.
- Schematically indicated is a strip 2 of a folding aid, which is designed for reasons of easier production as a continuous strip. In the field of labels this strip is during production, for example by means of a stamping process, according to the edges of the Labels have been separated, so that when detaching a label 1 from the common surface 15, the folding aid in its lateral dimensions of the contour of the label is dissolved out following.
- a label is strip-shaped with a length of 7 cm and a width of 1.5 cm executed. It is printed on the surface. In the folding area, the label is notched on both sides with an angle of 90 ° over a length of 1 cm.
- the material used is paper laminated on one side, which rests on a wax paper as a carrier substrate.
- the label is incorporated into a continuous surface from which it is separated by a punching process. The label can thus be detached from the carrier substrate in the manner of known stickers, wherein the unused remainder of the continuous surface remains on the carrier substrate.
- a brass sheet with a material thickness of 0.04 mm is inserted in the folding area between the label and the carrier substrate.
- This brass sheet has a length (parallel to the longest dimension of the strip-shaped label) of 1.2 cm and a width of 0.7 cm. The width thus corresponds to the smallest material width of the label in the folding area.
- the brass sheet is held in place by the adhesive located on the side of the label facing the carrier substrate. Since the brass sheet has no adhesive on the side facing the carrier substrate, it adheres to the label but not to the carrier substrate and is detached from the carrier substrate when the label is removed.
- the carrier substrate is designed with a material thickness of 0.15 mm. During the production takes place also on the Bottom side (side of the label facing away from the label)
