また、特許文献1に記載の、金属元素と、有機配位子とで構成される配位高分子を化学蓄熱材として使用した場合、利用可能な温度を200℃以下にすることができるものの、前記酸化カルシウムの系に比べて蓄熱量が小さく、蓄熱材としての性能が不十分であるという問題があった。

本発明の化学蓄熱材は、炭素原子数2乃至10の脂肪族ポリカルボン酸金属塩からなること、及び、水蒸気(水)の吸着又は解離により発熱又は吸熱を示すことを特徴とする。
本発明において、化学蓄熱材とは、反応媒体と蓄熱材が接触する際に起こる化学反応熱を利用して熱の吸収、放出を行う蓄熱材を意図し、特に、水蒸気(水)の吸着又は解離による発熱又は吸熱を示す蓄熱材を意図する。
上記で意図される化学蓄熱材における発熱又は吸熱の機構を、酸化カルシウムを例に挙げて説明する。
酸化カルシウムにおける発熱は、下記の(式1)に示されるように、酸化カルシウムの水和反応(水蒸気(水)の吸着)により水酸化カルシウムに変換される際に生じ、また、酸化カルシウムにおける吸熱は、下記の(式2)に示されるように、水酸化カルシウムの脱水反応により、酸化カルシウムに変換される際に生じる。

上記の(式1)及び(式2)から、1.46MJ/kgの熱量が、水和反応又は脱水反応の際に、発熱又は吸熱されることが分かるが、この発熱及び吸熱の量が化学蓄熱材(酸化カルシウム)に蓄熱されているとみなすことができる。
本発明に使用し得る炭素原子数2乃至10の脂肪族ポリカルボン酸金属塩を構成するための炭素原子数2乃至10の脂肪族ポリカルボン酸としては、カルボキシ基の炭素原子も含めて炭素原子数が2乃至10となるものであり、かつカルボキシ基を2以上有する脂肪族化合物であればとくに限定されるものでなく、また、ヒドロキシ基を併せ持つヒドロキシ酸であってもよい
また、炭素原子数2乃至10の脂肪族ポリカルボン酸として、好ましくは、炭素原子数2乃至4のポリカルボン酸が挙げられ、また、好ましくは、シュウ酸、マロン酸、及びフマル酸からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一種が挙げられ、より好ましくは、フマル酸が挙げられる。
本発明に使用し得る炭素原子数2乃至10の脂肪族ポリカルボン酸金属塩を構成するための金属としては、1価、2価及び3価の金属を使用することができる。
上記の金属としては、好ましくは、リチウム、ナトリウム、カリウム、マグネシウム、カルシウム、ストロンチウム、バリウム、アルミニウム、マンガン、鉄、コバルト、銅、ニッケル、亜鉛、銀、及びスズからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一種が挙げられる。

脂肪族ポリカルボン酸金属塩の製造方法は特に限定されないが、前記脂肪族ポリカルボン酸と、前記金属の塩化物、硫酸塩、又は硝酸塩と、水酸化ナトリウムなどの塩基とを、水中で混合して反応させることにより、脂肪族ポリカルボン酸の金属塩を析出させ、ろ過、乾燥することで結晶性粉末として得ることができる。また、前記脂肪族ポリカルボン酸と、前記金属の酸化物、水酸化物又は炭酸塩を、水中で混合して反応させることにより、脂肪族ポリカルボン酸の金属塩を析出させ、ろ過、乾燥させることにより、得ることもできる。
本発明はまた、車両、工場、機器装置等から排出される熱で水蒸気(水)の解離を行い蓄熱し、水蒸気(水)の吸着によって発熱するシステムに使用される上記の熱交換器にも関する。
本発明はまた、上述の化学蓄熱材を含み、車両、工場、機器装置等から排出される熱で水蒸気(水)の解離を行い蓄熱し、水蒸気(水)の吸着によって発熱するシステムにも関する。
そして、蓄熱時には、車両、工場、機器装置等から排出される高温の排熱を反応器に導入して化学蓄熱材から水蒸気(水)を解離させ、生成した水蒸気(水)は凝縮器で液化し、そして、放熱時は、蒸発器から水蒸気(水)を化学蓄熱材(水蒸気(水)が解離したもの)に送って吸着・発熱させ、その熱を、熱交換器を介して速やかに系外に取り出し利用することができる。
例えば、車両からの排熱は、上記のシステムにより、冷暖房や、エンジン、ATF、排ガス触媒等の暖気に効率的に用いることができる。
なお、実施例において、試料の調製及び物性の分析に用いた装置及び条件は、以下のとおりである。
装置:Mettler-Toledo社製 TGA/DSC 1
測定温度(実施例1~10):40~300℃
測定温度(比較例1):40~500℃
加熱速度:10℃/分
窒素フロー:50mL/分
サンプルパン:アルミニウムパン
(2)粉末X線解析(XRD)
装置:(株)リガク製 デスクトップX線回折装置 MiniFlex(登録商標)600
測定角度(2θ):3~40度
走査速度:15度/分
シュウ酸二水和物[純正化学(株)製]6.48g(51.4mmol)、水酸化マグネシウム[純正化学(株)製]3.00g(51.4mmol)、及び水50gを混合し、90℃で5時間撹拌した。反応混合物を室温(およそ23℃)まで冷却し、析出している固体をろ過した。この固体を、減圧下、50℃で1時間乾燥し、シュウ酸マグネシウム(水和物)7.01gを得た。
シュウ酸二水和物5.10g(40.5mmol)、水酸化カルシウム[純正化学(株)製]3.00g(40.5mmol)、及び水50gを混合し、90℃で5時間撹拌した。反応混合物を室温(およそ23℃)まで冷却し、析出している固体をろ過した。この固体を、減圧下、50℃で1時間乾燥し、シュウ酸カルシウム(水和物)5.57gを得た。
シュウ酸二水和物3.29g(26.1mmol)、炭酸マンガン[純正化学(株)製]3.00g(26.1mmol)、及び水30gを混合し、90℃で4時間撹拌した。反応混合物を室温(およそ23℃)まで冷却し、析出している固体をろ過した。この固体を、減圧下、50℃で1時間乾燥し、シュウ酸マンガン(水和物)4.20gを得た。
シュウ酸二水和物3.81g(30.2mmol)、水酸化亜鉛[純正化学(株)製]3.00g(30.2mmol)、及び水30gを混合し、90℃で4時間撹拌した。反応混合物を室温(およそ23℃)まで冷却し、析出している固体をろ過した。この固体を、減圧下、50℃で1時間乾燥し、シュウ酸亜鉛(水和物)5.29gを得た。
マロン酸[東京化成工業(株)製]5.35g(51.4mmol)、水酸化マグネシウム3.00g(51.4mmol)、及び水31gを混合し、90℃で3時間撹拌した。反応混合物を室温(およそ23℃)まで冷却し、析出している固体をろ過した。この固体を、減圧下、50℃で1時間乾燥し、マロン酸マグネシウム(水和物)7.25gを得た。
フマル酸[純正化学(株)製]5.97g(51.4mmol)、水酸化マグネシウム3.00g(51.4mmol)、及び水33gを混合し、90℃で3時間撹拌した。反応混合物を室温(およそ23℃)まで冷却し、析出している固体をろ過した。この固体を、減圧下、50℃で1時間乾燥し、フマル酸マグネシウム(水和物)5.64gを得た。
フマル酸4.70g(40.5mmol)、水酸化カルシウム3.00g(40.5mmol)、及び水30gを混合し、90℃で2.5時間撹拌した。反応混合物を室温(およそ23℃)まで冷却し、析出している固体をろ過した。この固体を、減圧下、50℃で1時間乾燥し、フマル酸カルシウム(水和物)6.50gを得た。
L-酒石酸[純正化学(株)製]5.15g(34.3mmol)、水酸化マグネシウム2.00g(34.3mmol)、及び水33gを混合し、90℃で5時間撹拌した。反応混合物を室温(およそ23℃)まで冷却し、析出している固体をろ過した。この固体を、減圧下、50℃で1時間乾燥し、酒石酸マグネシウム(水和物)6.40gを得た。
クエン酸[純正化学(株)製]6.59g(34.3mmol)、水酸化マグネシウム3.00g(51.4mmol)、及び水30gを混合し、90℃で5時間撹拌した。反応混合物を室温(およそ23℃)まで冷却し、析出している固体をろ過した。この固体を、減圧下、50℃で1時間乾燥し、クエン酸マグネシウム(水和物)9.65gを得た。
シクロブタン-1,2,3,4-テトラカルボン酸[Aldrich社製]1.00g(4.29mmol)、水酸化マグネシウム0.50g(8.57mmol)、及び水5gを混合し、90℃で3時間撹拌した。反応混合物を室温(およそ23℃)まで冷却し、析出している固体をろ過した。この固体を、減圧下、50℃で1時間乾燥し、シクロブタン-1,2,3,4-テトラカルボン酸マグネシウム(水和物)1.41gを得た。
製造例1~10で得られた脂肪族カルボン酸金属塩、及び水酸化カルシウム[純正化学(株)製]について、熱重量/示差走査熱量測定を行い、水の解離による吸熱量(蓄熱量)、及び吸熱開始温度(水の解離温度)を評価した。結果を表1に併せて示す。
一方、公知の蓄熱材である水酸化カルシウムは、蓄熱量は大きいものの、蓄熱開始温度が400℃以上と極めて高く、実用的ではないことが確認された。
FuA-Mg5.00gをシャーレに入れ、
(1)脱水工程:減圧下、90℃で4時間静置
(2)水蒸気吸着工程:室温(およそ23℃)、相対湿度100%下で18時間静置
を5回繰り返した。各工程後のサンプルについて、熱重量/示差走査熱量測定、及び粉末X線解析を行い、水の解離による吸熱量(蓄熱量)、吸熱開始温度(水の解離温度)、熱重量減少、及びXRDパターンを評価した。結果を表2に示す。また、試験前のTGA-DSC曲線を図1に、最初の脱水工程後のTGA-DSC曲線を図2に、試験前のXRDパターンを図3に、最初の脱水工程後のXRDパターンを図4に、それぞれ示す。
Claims (18)
- 炭素原子数2乃至10の脂肪族ポリカルボン酸金属塩からなる、水蒸気(水)の吸着又は解離により発熱又は吸熱を示す化学蓄熱材。
- 前記脂肪族ポリカルボン酸が、ジカルボン酸、トリカルボン酸、及びテトラカルボン酸からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一種である、請求項1に記載の化学蓄熱材。
- 前記脂肪族ポリカルボン酸がジカルボン酸である、請求項2に記載の化学蓄熱材。
- 前記脂肪族ポリカルボン酸が、炭素原子数2乃至4のポリカルボン酸である、請求項1乃至請求項3のうち何れか一項に記載の化学蓄熱材。
- 前記脂肪族ポリカルボン酸が、シュウ酸、マロン酸、及びフマル酸からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一種である、請求項1に記載の化学蓄熱材。
- 前記脂肪族ポリカルボン酸がフマル酸である、請求項1に記載の化学蓄熱材。
- 前記金属塩の金属種が、リチウム、ナトリウム、カリウム、マグネシウム、カルシウム、ストロンチウム、バリウム、アルミニウム、マンガン、鉄、コバルト、銅、ニッケル、亜鉛、銀、及びスズからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一種である、請求項1乃至請求項6のうち何れか一項に記載の化学蓄熱材。
- 前記金属塩の金属種がアルカリ土類金属である、請求項7に記載の化学蓄熱材。
- 前記金属塩の金属種が、マグネシウム、及びカルシウムからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一種である、請求項7に記載の化学蓄熱材。
- 水蒸気(水)の吸着による発熱量、又は水蒸気(水)の解離による吸熱量が、0.5MJ/kg以上である、請求項1乃至請求項9のうち何れか一項に記載の化学蓄熱材。
- 水蒸気(水)の解離温度が200℃以下である、請求項1乃至請求項10のうち何れか一項に記載の化学蓄熱材。
- 請求項1乃至請求項11のうち、何れか一項に記載の化学蓄熱材を含む熱交換器。
- 車両から排出される熱で水蒸気(水)の解離を行い蓄熱し、水蒸気(水)の吸着によって発熱するシステムに使用される、請求項12に記載の熱交換器。
- 工場から排出される熱で水蒸気(水)の解離を行い蓄熱し、水蒸気(水)の吸着によって発熱するシステムに使用される、請求項12に記載の熱交換器。
- 機器装置から排出される熱で水蒸気(水)の解離を行い蓄熱し、水蒸気(水)の吸着によって発熱するシステムに使用される、請求項12に記載の熱交換器。
- 請求項1乃至請求項11のうち、何れか一項に記載の化学蓄熱材を含み、車両から排出される熱で水蒸気(水)の解離を行い蓄熱し、水蒸気(水)の吸着によって発熱するシステム。
- 請求項1乃至請求項11のうち、何れか一項に記載の化学蓄熱材を含み、工場から排出される熱で水蒸気(水)の解離を行い蓄熱し、水蒸気(水)の吸着によって発熱するシステム。
- 請求項1乃至請求項11のうち、何れか一項に記載の化学蓄熱材を含み、機器装置から排出される熱で水蒸気(水)の解離を行い蓄熱し、水蒸気(水)の吸着によって発熱するシステム。
