Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil (10) pour le traitement d'une caisse de véhicule (11), lequel appareil comprend une chambre de traitement (120) qui contient une zone de traitement (13) pour le traitement de la caisse et un transporteur (14) portant la caisse à travers la zone de traitement. Le transporteur (14) comprend des éléments (14a) à l'extérieur de la chambre de traitement et des éléments (14b) à l'intérieur de la chambre de traitement, ceux-ci étant interconnectés à l'aide d'un bras de liaison (15) qui traverse une fente (16) qui est présente dans la paroi de la chambre de traitement (12). Une structure d'étanchéité (17) est disposée sur la fente de façon à s'ouvrir au voisinage du bras et à permettre au bras de se déplacer le long de la fente. Ladite structure d'étanchéité (17) comprend une pluralité d'éléments verticaux (18) qui sont disposés les uns à côté des autres et qui sont suspendus à partir du dessus de manière à être disposés transversalement sur la fente. Chaque élément vertical (18) est souple de façon à s'incurver quand le bras (15) passe, ce dernier a une section transversale constante au moins dans une partie entre le bord supérieur (20) et le bord inférieur (22) de la fente, et, à proximité de son extrémité inférieure (21), ce dernier présente une densité qui est supérieure à la densité qu'il a près du bord supérieur de la fente.
