Abstract

インタークーラは、流路管(21)とフィン(22)とが積層配置され、流路管の内部の冷却媒体と、流路管の外部の過給吸気とを熱交換させる熱交換部(23)を備える。冷却媒体には、第1冷却媒体と、第1冷却媒体より温度が高い第2冷却媒体とが含まれる。流路管内には、第1冷却媒体が流れる第1冷却媒体流路(25)と、第2冷却媒体が流れる第2冷却媒体流路(26)とが形成される。第2冷却媒体流路は、第1冷却媒体流路よりも過給吸気の上流側に配置される。第2冷却媒体流路は、第2冷却媒体がUターンする第2Uターン部(26d)を有する。第2冷却媒体流路は、第2Uターン部の下流側となる下流側流路(26f)が上流側となる上流側流路(26e)よりも、過給吸気の流れ方向の上流側に位置する。フィンは、下流側流路の過給吸気の流れ方向における最上流部に対応する部位に、熱交換抑制部が設けられている。

Description

インタークーラ 関連出願の相互参照
 本出願は、当該開示内容が参照によって本出願に組み込まれた、2016年2月12日に出願された日本特許出願2016-024334を基にしている。
 本出願は、過給機にて加圧された過給吸気を冷却するインタークーラに関するものである。
 従来より、過給機によってエンジンに過給される過給空気と、温度が異なる二種類の冷却水とを熱交換させて、過給吸気を冷却するインタークーラが知られている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。この特許文献1に記載のインタークーラは、過給吸気の流れ方向上流側で高温冷却水がUターンして流通するとともに、過給吸気の流れ方向下流側で低温冷却水がUターンして流通するように構成されている。また、高温冷却水流路および低温冷却水流路には、冷却水と過給吸気との熱交換を促進するためのインナーフィンが配置されている。
 これによれば、エンジン始動時において、高温冷却水の有する熱により低温冷却水を早期に暖気することができる。さらに、過給吸気を、低温冷却水により冷却する前に、高温冷却水により予冷することができるため、過給吸気冷却システムの冷却性能を向上させることができる。

 上記特許文献1に記載のインタークーラでは、高温冷却水流路は、下流側流路が上流側流路よりも過給吸気の流れ方向の上流側に配置されたUターン構造となっている。このため、高温冷却水流路の下流側流路では、冷却水と高温の過給吸気とが熱交換することとなり、冷却水の温度が上昇しやすくなる。また、高温冷却水流路では、Uターン構造を採用していること、流路が幅狭なこと、インナーフィンが配置されていること等から、冷却水の圧損が大きくなり、冷却水の沸点が低下するおそれがある。
 この結果、高温冷却水流路の下流側流路において、冷却水が沸騰するおそれがある。高温冷却水流路で冷却水が沸騰した場合には、高温冷却水流路周辺の部品の温度上昇を招き、強度低下や破損のおそれがある。
 本開示は上記点に鑑みて、温度が異なる2種類の冷却媒体で過給吸気を冷却するインタークーラにおいて、冷却媒体の沸騰を抑制することを目的とする。
 本開示の一態様によるインタークーラは、過給機によってエンジンに過給される過給吸気と冷却媒体との間で熱交換を行うことで過給吸気を冷却するインタークーラであって、流路管とフィンとが積層配置され、流路管の内部を流れる冷却媒体と、流路管の外部を流れる過給吸気とを熱交換させる熱交換部を備える。冷却媒体には、第1冷却媒体と、第1冷却媒体より温度が高い第2冷却媒体とが含まれている。流路管内には、過給吸気の流れ方向と交差するように第1冷却媒体が流れる第1冷却媒体流路と、過給吸気の流れ方向と交差するように第2冷却媒体が流れる第2冷却媒体流路とが形成されている。第2冷却媒体流路は、第1冷却媒体流路よりも過給吸気の流れ方向の上流側に配置されている。第1冷却媒体流路は、第1冷却媒体がUターンする第1Uターン部を有し、第2冷却媒体流路は、第2冷却媒体がUターンする第2Uターン部を有する。第2冷却媒体流路は、第2Uターン部の下流側となる下流側流路が第2Uターン部の上流側となる上流側流路よりも、過給吸気の流れ方向の上流側に位置する。フィンは、少なくとも下流側流路の過給吸気の流れ方向における最上流部に対応する部位に、過給吸気と第2冷却媒体との間の熱交換を抑制する熱交換抑制部が設けられている。
 これによれば、過給吸気の流れ方向の最上流部において、過給吸気の熱がフィンを介して出口側流路の第2冷却水に伝わることが抑制される。この結果、第2冷却水が沸騰しやすい出口側流路において、第2冷却水が沸騰することを抑制できる。これにより、第2出口側流路周辺の部品の温度上昇を抑制でき、強度低下や破損を回避することができる。

 以下に、図面を参照しながら本開示を実施するための複数の形態を説明する。各形態において先行する形態で説明した事項に対応する部分には同一の参照符号を付して重複する説明を省略する場合がある。各形態において構成の一部のみを説明している場合は、構成の他の部分については先行して説明した他の形態を適用することができる。各実施形態で具体的に組合せが可能であることを明示している部分同士の組合せばかりではなく、特に組合せに支障が生じなければ、明示してなくとも実施形態同士を部分的に組み合せることも可能である。
 (第1実施形態)
 本開示の第1実施形態について図面に基づいて説明する。本第1実施形態は、本開示のインタークーラを、車両の過給吸気冷却システムに適用した例について説明する。
 車両のエンジン(すなわち、内燃機関)10の吸気系には、エンジン10に吸気を過給するための図示しない過給機が設けられている。この過給機はエンジン10の最高出力を補うために設けられている。つまり、本実施形態における車両は、燃費向上を目的としてエンジン10が小排気量化されており、この小排気量化に伴う最高出力の低下を過給機によって補っている。
 吸気系において過給機よりも吸気流れ下流側には、エンジン吸気を冷却するインタークーラ20が設けられている。このインタークーラ20は、過給機によって圧縮された過給吸気を冷却して、エンジン吸気の充填効率を向上させる役割を果たす。
 インタークーラ20の内部には、第1冷却水回路50を循環する第1冷却水と、第2冷却水回路60を循環する第2冷却水とが流通するようになっている。インタークーラ20は、過給機によって圧縮された過給吸気を第1、第2冷却水と熱交換させて過給吸気を冷却する。
 第1冷却水回路50には第1冷却水を循環させるウォータポンプ51が設けられ、第1冷却水回路50においてウォータポンプ51とインタークーラ20との間には第1冷却水の熱を外気に放熱させて第1冷却水を冷却する第1ラジエータ52が設けられている。
 第2冷却水回路60には、ウォータポンプ61と、第2ラジエータ62と、ヒータコア63とが設けられている。ウォータポンプ61は、第2冷却水回路60に第2冷却水を循環させる。第2ラジエータ62は、第2冷却水がエンジン10から吸熱した熱を外気に放熱する。ヒータコア63は、車室内へ送風される送風空気と第2冷却水とを熱交換させて送風空気を加熱する。インタークーラ20、第2ラジエータ62およびヒータコア63は、第2冷却水回路60において並列に配置されている。
 第2冷却水はエンジン10から吸熱している。このため、第1、第2冷却水がインタークーラ20の内部を流通する際に、第2冷却水の方が第1冷却水よりも温度が高くなっている。つまり、第1冷却水は低温冷却水であり、第2冷却水は高温冷却水である。本実施形態の第1冷却水が本開示の第1冷却媒体に相当し、本実施形態の第2冷却水が本開示の第2冷却媒体に相当している。第1、第2冷却水としてはLLC(不凍液)や水等を用いることができる。
 なお、本実施形態では、ウォータポンプ51、61の駆動動力がエンジン10から伝達されるようになっているが、ウォータポンプ51、61として電動ウォータポンプを用いてもよい。
 続いて、本第1実施形態のインタークーラ20について、詳細に説明する。本実施形態のインタークーラ20は、いわゆるドロンカップ型の熱交換器として構成されている。図2に示すように、インタークーラ20は、複数の流路管21と、隣り合う流路管21の間に接合されるフィン22とが交互に積層配置された熱交換部23を備えている。流路管21は、一対の板状部材24を最中合わせに接合することで形成されている。熱交換部23は、流路管21の内部を流れる第1、第2冷却水と、流路管21の外部を流れる過給吸気とを熱交換させるように構成されている。積層された流路管21と流路管21との間のフィン22が配置された空間が、過給吸気が流通する過給吸気流路を構成している。
 インタークーラ20の構成部品のうち全部品または一部の部品は、例えばアルミニウムで形成された芯材の表面にろう材をクラッドしたクラッド材で形成されている。クラッド材の表面にフラックスを塗布した状態で加熱することによって、インタークーラ20の各構成部品がろう付け接合される。
 図3に示すように、本実施形態のフィン22は、板状部材を波形状に曲げて成形したコルゲートフィンである。フィン22は、平面部を構成する壁部22aと屈曲部を構成する頂部22bとが連続する波形状となっている。フィン22は、過給吸気の流れ方向に交差する方向において、頂部22bが一方側と他方側に交互に位置して曲折する波形状となっている。壁部22aによって、積層された流路管21間の空間である過給吸気流路が複数の流路に区画される。フィン22は、過給吸気と第1、第2冷却水との伝熱面積を拡大させるための熱交換促進部を構成している。
 フィン22は、壁部22aにルーバ22cが形成されたルーバフィンとして構成されている。フィン22の頂部22bは、隣接する流路管21の平坦な外面側にろう付け接合されている。フィン22は、例えば薄板金属材料にローラ成形法を施すことにより成形することができる。フィン22については、後で詳細に説明する。
 図4に示すように、流路管21内には、第1冷却水が流れる第1冷却水流路25と、第2冷却水が流れる第2冷却水流路26とが形成されている。流路管21内において、第1冷却水流路25および第2冷却水流路26は、過給吸気の流れ方向に並列して配置されている。これらの冷却水流路25、26における冷却水の流れ方向は、過給吸気の流れ方向に交差する方向、具体的には過給吸気の流れ方向に直交する方向となっている。
 本実施形態では、第1冷却水流路25は過給吸気の流れ方向下流側に配置され、第2冷却水流路26は過給吸気の流れ方向上流側に配置されている。すなわち、本実施形態のインタークーラ20は、過給吸気が通過する過給吸気通路の上流側に高温の第2冷却水が流通するとともに、過給吸気通路の下流側に低温の第1冷却水が流通するように構成されている。
 第1冷却水流路25および第2冷却水流路26の流路長は同じになっている。これらの冷却水流路25、26の過給吸気の流れ方向の長さ、つまり冷却水流路25、26の幅方向の長さは、第1冷却水流路25の方が第2冷却水流路26よりも長くなっている。
 図示を省略しているが、インタークーラ20は、複数の流路管21の第1冷却水流路25に第1冷却水を分配する第1分配タンク部と、複数の流路管21の第1冷却水流路25から第1冷却水を集合させる第1集合タンク部とを備えている。同様に図示を省略しているが、インタークーラ20は、複数の流路管21の第2冷却水流路26に第2冷却水を分配する第2分配タンク部と、複数の流路管21の第2冷却水流路26から第2冷却水を集合させる第2集合タンク部とを備えている。
 流路管21は、第1冷却水流路25に第1冷却水を流入させる第1入口部25aと、第1冷却水流路25から第1冷却水を流出させる第1出口部25bとを備えている。また、流路管21は、第2冷却水流路26に第2冷却水を流入させる第2入口部26aと、第2冷却水流路26から第2冷却水を流出させる第2出口部26bとを備えている。第1入口部25a、第1出口部25b、第2入口部26aおよび第2出口部26bは、流路管21に貫通穴を形成することにより構成されている。
 第1冷却水流路25には、流路を2つに仕切る第1仕切部25cと、第1冷却水をUターンさせる第1Uターン部25dが設けられている。第1冷却水流路25は、第1仕切部25cによって、第1入口部25aに近い側に位置する第1上流側流路25eと、第1出口部25bに近い側に位置する第1下流側流路25fとに仕切られている。第1上流側流路25eは、第1Uターン部25dより上流側に位置し、第1下流側流路25fは、第1Uターン部25dより下流側に位置している。
 第2冷却水流路26には、流路を2つに仕切る第2仕切部26cと、第2冷却水をUターンさせる第2Uターン部26dが設けられている。第2冷却水流路26は、第2仕切部26cによって、第2入口部26aに近い側に位置する第2上流側流路26eと、第2出口部26bに近い側に位置する第2下流側流路26fとに仕切られている。第2上流側流路26eは、第2Uターン部26dより上流側に配置され、第2下流側流路26fは、第2Uターン部26dより下流側に配置されている。
 上述のように、第2冷却水流路26の方が第1冷却水流路25よりも、過給吸気の流れ方向上流側に配置されている。このため、過給吸気の流れ方向上流側から、第2下流側流路26f、第2上流側流路26e、第1下流側流路25f、第1上流側流路25eの順に配置されている。つまり、流路管21に設けられた複数の流路25e、25f、26e、26fのうち、第2冷却水流路26の第2下流側流路26fが過給吸気の流れ方向における最上流部に配置されている。
 過給吸気の温度は、過給吸気の流れ方向の上流側から下流側に向かうにしたがって低くなる。このため、過給吸気の温度は、第2下流側流路26fにおける過給吸気の流れ方向の最上流部に対応する部位を通過する際に最も高くなっている。
 本実施形態では、第1入口部25a、第1出口部25b、第2入口部26aおよび第2出口部26bは、流路管21の長手方向における一側の端部(つまり、図4の左側端部)に配置されている。これらは、過給吸気の流れ方向上流側から、第2出口部26b、第2入口部26a、第1出口部25b、第1入口部25aの順に配置されている。また、第1Uターン部25dおよび第2Uターン部26dは、流路管21の長手方向における他側の端部(つまり、図4の右側端部)に配置されている。
 第1冷却水流路25には、第1冷却水流路25を複数の細流路に分割する第1インナーフィン27が配置されている。第1インナーフィン27は、第1冷却水流路25の第1上流側流路25eおよび第1下流側流路25fにそれぞれ配置されている。第2冷却水流路26には、第2冷却水流路26を複数の細流路に分割する第2インナーフィン28が配置されている。第2インナーフィン28は、第2冷却水流路26の第2上流側流路26eおよび第2下流側流路26fにそれぞれ配置されている。
 第2冷却水流路26では、Uターン構造を採用していること、流路が幅狭なこと、第2インナーフィン28が配置されていること等から、第2冷却水の圧損が大きくなり、第2冷却水の沸点が低下する。また、過給吸気は流れ方向の上流側で温度が高くなっていること、流路管21における過給吸気の流れ方向の最上流部に過給吸気が直接接触すること等によって、特に第2下流側流路26fを流通する第2冷却水の温度が上昇しやすい。
 次に、本実施形態のフィン22の構成を図5、図6に基づいて説明する。図5は、図4のV-V断面図である。図6は、図5のVI-VI断面図であり、フィン22の3つの壁部22aを示している。
 図5、図6に示すように、フィン22の壁部22aには、壁部22aを切り起こすことにより鎧窓状のルーバ22cが一体的に形成されている。ルーバ22cによってフィン22の熱伝達率が向上し、伝熱性能を向上させることができる。
 図6に示すように、ルーバ22cは、壁部22aに対して予め定められた角度で切り起こされており、過給吸気の流れ方向に沿って壁部22aに複数設けられている。同一の壁部22aに形成された隣り合うルーバ22c間には、空気が流通可能なルーバ間通路22dが形成されている。また、並列して配置された複数の壁部22aには、複数のルーバ22cが同じパターンで形成されている。
 図6に示すように、1つの壁部22aには、隣接する複数のルーバ22cが平行に設けられたルーバ群が複数存在する。図6では、1つの壁部22aに2つのルーバ群が図示されている。同一のルーバ群に含まれる複数のルーバ22cは、壁部22aに対する傾斜方向が同一となっている。
 隣接するルーバ群の間には、転向部22eが設けられている。過給吸気の流れ方向において、転向部22eを境にして、上流側のルーバ群と下流側のルーバ群は、壁部22aに対するルーバ22cの傾斜方向が反対になっている。
 図5、図6に示すように、壁部22aにおける過給吸気の流れ方向の最上流部には、平面状の上流側平面部22fが設けられている。上流側平面部22fは、ルーバ22cが形成されていない非ルーバ部を構成している。フィン22における上流側平面部22fを除く部位(すなわち、ルーバ22cおよび転向部22e)は、ルーバ部を構成している。過給吸気の流れ方向における上流側平面部22fの長さは、隣り合うルーバ22c間の距離であるルーバピッチLPよりも長くなっている。
 図4において、一点破線で囲んだ部位がフィン22の上流側平面部22fに対応する部位を示している。図4に示す例では、フィン22の上流側平面部22fは、第2下流側流路26fにおける過給吸気の流れ方向の最上流部から第2下流側流路26fの幅方向長さの1/2まで設けられている。このため、流路管21の第2下流側流路26fに対応する部位では、フィン22に上流側平面部22fとルーバ22cの両方が設けられている。また、図4に示す例では、第2冷却水の流れ方向において、上流側平面部22fは、第2下流側流路26fの流路全体に亘って設けられている。つまり、フィン22を構成するすべての壁部22aに上流側平面部22fが設けられている。
 上流側平面部22fには、ルーバ22cが形成されていないことから、ルーバ22cが形成されている部位よりも、フィン22の熱伝達率が低くなっている。過給吸気の流れ方向において、上流側平面部22fが設けられた上流側では、ルーバ22cが設けられた下流側よりも熱伝達率が低く、過給吸気とフィン22との間の熱交換が抑制される。つまり、上流側平面部22fは、過給吸気と第2冷却水流路26を流通する第2冷却水との間の熱交換が抑制される熱交換抑制部を構成している。
 以上説明した本第1実施形態によれば、温度が異なる2種類の冷却水で過給吸気を冷却するインタークーラ20において、過給吸気の流れ方向の最上流部に、フィン22にルーバ22cが形成されていない上流側平面部22fを設けている。これにより、過給吸気の流れ方向の最上流部において、過給吸気の熱がフィン22を介して第2出口側流路26fの第2冷却水に伝わることを抑制できる。この結果、第2冷却水が沸騰しやすい第2出口側流路26fにおいて、第2冷却水が沸騰することを抑制できる。これにより、第2出口側流路26f周辺の部品の温度上昇を抑制でき、強度低下や破損を回避することができる。
 また、本第1実施形態によれば、フィン22の一部にルーバ22cを形成しないといった簡易な手段で上流側平面部22fを設けることができ、上記効果を得ることができる。このため、フィン22は従来と同様のローラ成形によって製造することができるため、生産性を落とすことなくインタークーラ20を製造することが可能となる。
 (第2実施形態)
 次に、本開示の第2実施形態について説明する。本第2実施形態では、上記第1実施形態と異なる部分についてのみ説明する。
 図7は、本第2実施形態のフィン22、29の断面図であり、上記第1実施形態の図6に対応している。図7に示すように、本第2実施形態では、隣り合う流路管21の間に2種類のフィン22、29が設けられている。
 過給吸気の流れ方向の下流側には、ルーバフィン22が設けられている。本第2実施形態のルーバフィン22は、上流側平面部22fが設けられていない点を除いて、上記第1実施形態で説明したルーバフィンと同一の構成となっている。過給吸気の流れ方向の上流側には、オフセットフィン29が設けられている。
 図8に示すように、オフセットフィン29は、平面部を構成する壁部29aと屈曲部を構成する頂部29bとが連続する波形状となっている。オフセットフィン29は、過給吸気の流れ方向に交差する方向において、頂部29bが一方側と他方側に交互に位置して曲折する波形状となっている。壁部29aによって、積層された流路管21間の空間である過給吸気流路が複数の流路に区画される。壁部29aには、部分的に切り起こされた切り起こし部29cが多数設けられている。壁部29aと切り起こし部29cは、過給吸気の流れ方向に沿って交互に千鳥状に配置されている。
 ルーバフィン22およびオフセットフィン29は、別体に構成されている。つまり、ルーバフィン22およびオフセットフィン29は、分離されている。
 オフセットフィン29の隣接する壁部29aの間隔であるフィンピッチFP2は、ルーバフィン22の隣接する壁部22a同士の間隔であるフィンピッチFP1よりも長くなっている。図7に示す例では、オフセットフィン29のフィンピッチFP2は、ルーバフィン22のフィンピッチFP1の2倍の長さとなっている。
 オフセットフィンとして構成されたオフセットフィン29には、ルーバフィンとして構成されたルーバフィン22よりも、熱伝達率が低くなっている。このため、過給吸気の流れ方向において、オフセットフィン29が設けられた上流側では、ルーバフィン22が設けられた下流側よりも熱伝達率が低く、過給吸気とフィン29との間の熱交換が抑制される。つまり、本第2実施形態のオフセットフィン29は、過給吸気と第2冷却水流路26を流通する第2冷却水と間の熱交換が抑制される熱交換抑制部を構成している。
 以上説明した本第2実施形態によれば、温度が異なる2種類の冷却水で過給吸気を冷却するインタークーラ20において、過給吸気の流れ方向の最上流部に、ルーバフィン22よりも熱伝達率が低いオフセットフィン29を設けている。これにより、過給吸気の流れ方向の最上流部において、過給吸気の熱がオフセットフィン29を介して第2出口側流路26fの第2冷却水に伝わることを抑制できる。この結果、第2冷却水が沸騰しやすい第2出口側流路26fにおいて、第2冷却水が沸騰することを抑制できる。これにより、第2出口側流路26f周辺の部品の温度上昇を抑制でき、強度低下や破損を回避することができる。
 また、本第2実施形態では、オフセットフィン29のフィンピッチFP2は、ルーバフィン22のフィンピッチFP1よりも大きくなっている。このことによっても、オフセットフィン29は、ルーバフィン22よりも熱伝達率が低くなっている。このため、過給吸気の流れ方向の最上流部において、過給吸気の熱がオフセットフィン29を介して第2出口側流路26fの第2冷却水に伝わることを効果的に抑制でき、第2出口側流路26fにて第2冷却水が沸騰することを効果的に抑制できる。
 (第3実施形態)
 次に、本開示の第3実施形態について説明する。本第3実施形態では、上記各実施形態と異なる部分についてのみ説明する。本第3実施形態は、上記第2実施形態と比較して、ルーバフィン22の過給吸気の流れ方向上流側に、ストレートフィン30が設けられている点が異なっている。
 図9は、本第3実施形態のフィン22、29の断面図であり、上記第1実施形態の図6に対応し、上記第2実施形態の図7に対応している。図9に示すように、本第3実施形態では、隣り合う流路管21の間に2種類のフィン22、30が設けられている。本第3実施形態では、過給吸気の流れ方向の上流側には、ストレートフィン30が設けられている。
 ストレートフィン30は、平面部を構成する壁部30aと屈曲部を構成する頂部30bとが連続する波形状となっている。ストレートフィン30は、過給吸気の流れ方向に交差する方向において、頂部29bが一方側と他方側に交互に位置して曲折する波形状となっている。壁部30aによって、積層された流路管21間の空間である過給吸気流路が複数の流路に区画される。ストレートフィン30の壁部30aは、過給吸気の流れ方向に沿って直線的に延びている。
 ルーバフィン22およびストレートフィン30は、別体に構成されている。つまり、ルーバフィン22およびストレートフィン30は、分離されている。
 ストレートフィン30の隣接する壁部30aの間隔であるフィンピッチFP3は、ルーバフィン22の隣接する壁部22a同士の間隔であるフィンピッチFP1よりも長くなっている。図9に示す例では、ストレートフィン30のフィンピッチFP3は、ルーバフィン22のフィンピッチFP1の2倍の長さとなっている。
 ストレートフィンとして構成されたストレートフィン30には、ルーバフィンとして構成されたルーバフィン22よりも、熱伝達率が低くなっている。このため、過給吸気の流れ方向において、ストレートフィン30が設けられた上流側では、ルーバフィン22が設けられた下流側よりも熱伝達率が低く、過給吸気とフィン30との間の熱交換が抑制される。つまり、本第3実施形態のストレートフィン30は、過給吸気と第2冷却水流路26を流通する第2冷却水と間の熱交換が抑制される熱交換抑制部を構成している。
 以上説明した本第3実施形態によれば、温度が異なる2種類の冷却水で過給吸気を冷却するインタークーラ20において、過給吸気の流れ方向の最上流部に、ルーバフィン22よりも熱伝達率が低いストレートフィン30を設けている。これにより、過給吸気の流れ方向の最上流部において、過給吸気の熱がストレートフィン30を介して第2出口側流路26fの第2冷却水に伝わることを抑制できる。この結果、第2冷却水が沸騰しやすい第2出口側流路26fにおいて、第2冷却水が沸騰することを抑制できる。これにより、第2出口側流路26f周辺の部品の温度上昇を抑制でき、強度低下や破損を回避することができる。
 また、本第3実施形態では、ストレートフィン30のフィンピッチFP3は、ルーバフィン22のフィンピッチFP1よりも大きくなっている。このことによっても、ストレートフィン30は、ルーバフィン22よりも熱伝達率が低くなっている。このため、過給吸気の流れ方向の最上流部において、過給吸気の熱がストレートフィン30を介して第2出口側流路26fの第2冷却水に伝わることを効果的に抑制でき、第2出口側流路26fにて第2冷却水が沸騰することを効果的に抑制できる。
 本開示は上述の実施形態に限定されることなく、本開示の趣旨を逸脱しない範囲内で、以下のように種々変形可能である。
 上記第1実施形態では、フィン22の上流側平面部22fは、第2下流側流路26fにおける過給吸気の流れ方向の最上流部から第2下流側流路26fの幅方向長さの1/2まで設けられるように構成したが、これに限定されるものではない。フィン22の上流側平面部22fは、過給吸気の流れ方向において、少なくとも第2下流側流路26fの最上流部に対応する部位に設けられていればよい。つまり、上流側平面部22fは、図4に示した構成に対して、過給吸気の流れ方向の長さを短くしてもよく、あるいは長くしてもよい。上流側平面部22fにおける過給吸気の流れ方向の長さを長くする場合は、上流側平面部22fを第2冷却水流路26の全体に対応して延長してもよい。これは、ルーバ22cが設けられていない上流側平面部22fにおいても、フィン22と流路管21との間の熱交換が確保されるからである。つまり、フィン22には、第2冷却水流路26に対応する部位に上流側平面部22fが設けられ、第1冷却水流路25に対応する部位にルーバ22cが設けられていればよい。
 上記第1実施形態では、フィン22の上流側平面部22fは、第2冷却水の流れ方向において、第2下流側流路26fの全体に亘って設けられていたが、これに限定されるものではない。フィン22の上流側平面部22fは、第2冷却水の流れ方向において、少なくとも第2下流側流路26fの最下流部(つまり、第2出口部26bに近い側)に設けられていればよい。
 上記第2実施形態のオフセットフィン29および上記第3実施形態のストレートフィン30も、過給吸気の流れ方向において、少なくとも第2下流側流路26fの最上流部に対応する部位に設けられていればよい。また、上記第2実施形態のオフセットフィン29および上記第3実施形態のストレートフィン30は、第2冷却水の流れ方向において、少なくとも第2下流側流路26fの最下流部(つまり、第2出口部26bに近い側)に設けられていればよい。
 本開示は、実施例に準拠して記述されたが、本開示は当該実施例や構造に限定されるものではないと理解される。本開示は、様々な変形例や均等範囲内の変形をも包含する。加えて、様々な組み合わせや形態、さらには、それらに一要素のみ、それ以上、あるいはそれ以下、を含む他の組み合わせや形態をも、本開示の範疇や思想範囲に入るものである。

Claims (5)

  1.  過給機によってエンジン(10)に過給される過給吸気と冷却媒体との間で熱交換を行うことで前記過給吸気を冷却するインタークーラであって、
     流路管(21)とフィン(22)とが積層配置され、前記流路管の内部を流れる前記冷却媒体と、前記流路管の外部を流れる前記過給吸気とを熱交換させる熱交換部(23)を備え、
     前記冷却媒体には、第1冷却媒体と、前記第1冷却媒体より温度が高い第2冷却媒体とが含まれており、
     前記流路管内には、前記過給吸気の流れ方向と交差するように前記第1冷却媒体が流れる第1冷却媒体流路(25)と、前記過給吸気の流れ方向と交差するように前記第2冷却媒体が流れる第2冷却媒体流路(26)とが形成されており、
     前記第2冷却媒体流路は、前記第1冷却媒体流路よりも前記過給吸気の流れ方向の上流側に配置されており、
     前記第1冷却媒体流路は、前記第1冷却媒体がUターンする第1Uターン部(25d)を有し、前記第2冷却媒体流路は、前記第2冷却媒体がUターンする第2Uターン部(26d)を有しており、
     前記第2冷却媒体流路は、前記第2Uターン部の下流側となる下流側流路(26f)が前記第2Uターン部の上流側となる上流側流路(26e)よりも、前記過給吸気の流れ方向の上流側に位置しており、
     前記フィンは、少なくとも前記下流側流路の前記過給吸気の流れ方向における最上流部に対応する部位に、前記過給吸気と前記第2冷却媒体との間の熱交換を抑制する熱交換抑制部が設けられているインタークーラ。
  2.  前記熱交換抑制部は、少なくとも前記下流側流路の前記第2熱媒体の流れ方向における最下流部に対応する部位に設けられている請求項1に記載のインタークーラ。
  3.  前記フィンは、波形状の断面を構成する壁部(22a)に複数のルーバ(22c)が形成されたルーバフィンとして構成されており、
     前記熱交換抑制部は、前記ルーバが形成されていない非ルーバ部(22f)として構成されている請求項1または2に記載のインタークーラ。
  4.  前記フィンは、波形状の断面を構成する壁部(22a)に複数のルーバ(22c)が形成されたルーバフィン(22)と、波形状の断面を構成する壁部(29a)に部分的に切り起こされた切り起こし部(29c)が形成されたオフセットフィン(29)とを含んでおり、
     前記オフセットフィンは、前記ルーバフィンとは別体に構成されており、
     前記熱交換抑制部は、前記オフセットフィンによって構成されている請求項1または2に記載のインタークーラ。
  5.  前記フィンは、波形状の断面を構成する壁部(22a)に複数のルーバ(22c)が形成されたルーバフィン(22)と、波形状の断面を構成する壁部(30a)が直線的に延びているストレートフィン(30)とを含んでおり、
     前記ストレートフィンは、前記ルーバフィンとは別体に構成されており、
     前記熱交換抑制部は、前記ストレートフィンによって構成されている請求項1または2に記載のインタークーラ。
