Description

送信器、送信方法、位相調整装置、位相調整方法
 本発明は、送信器、送信方法、位相調整装置、位相調整方法に関する。
 無線通信においては、アンテナから放射される送信波の射出方向を制御する技術がある。このような技術は、ビームフォーミングと呼ばれている。ビームフォーミングでは、複数のアンテナのそれぞれから位相が異なる送信波を射出する。複数のアンテナから射出された複数の送信波は、特定の方向において同位相となることによって強めあい、他の方向においては逆位相となることによって弱め合って打ち消される。このような現象により、ビームフォーミングは、送信波を任意の方向に集中して射出する、あるいは任意の方向に送信波を送出しない、という制御をすることができる。
 なお、本明細書では、ビームフォーミングを主にキャリア波を送信する側から説明する。しかし、ビームフォーミングでは、送信波を受信する側においても、任意の方向から送信された送信波を強く受信し、他の方向から送信された送信波を受信しないようにすることもできる。
 上記ビームフォーミングでは、各アンテナから送信される送信波の位相を適切に選択し、その状態を制御することが必要になる。位相を制御するためには、位相シフタ11を備える送信器を用いることが考えられる。
 図6は、位相シフタ11を備える公知の送信器を例示した機能ブロック図である。図6に示した送信器100a、100bは、信号源109によって生成された送信波を各々位相シフタ101でシフトさせ、パワーアンプ107を介してアンテナ103に供給する。アンテナ103は、パワーアンプ107で増幅された送信波を送信する。なお、位相シフタ101における位相のシフト量は、図示しない制御回路から出力される位相制御信号によって決定する。
 このような送信器100a、100bを使って送信波の射出方向を動的に切替える場合、各アンテナに供給される送信波の位相を高い精度で選択することが求められる。なお、送信波の位相を動的に切替える位相シフタ11は、例えば、非特許文献1に記載されている。
 また、特許文献1には、送信ブランチと送信ブランチの位相誤差量を検出することが記載されている。特許文献1によれば、検出された位相誤差量は送信ブランチと送信ブランチの位相差が同相のときに最大値となり、位相差が逆相のときに最小値となる。特許文献1に記載の送信装置は、このような現象を用いて、送信ブランチと送信ブランチの位相差を同相又は逆相に制御している。

 しかしながら、例えば、車載ミリ波レーダーでは、数十GHzの高周波信号が送信キャリアとして使用される。このような高周波を使用する通信システムの場合、公知のシステムでは、高い精度で位相を制御することが困難となる。既存の位相シフタ11では、複数のアンテナから送信される送信波の位相が、10度程度のエラーを有することが知られている。また、このようなエラーを予め測定し、補正することも考えられるが、位相のエラーは温度等に依存して変動する。温度等も考慮して位相のエラーを補正するとすれば、補正の処理が非常に煩雑になると考えられる。
 また、車載レーダーにおいては、車両の前後傾斜角度の変化によって送信波の射出方向を補正することが必要になる。即ち、車両のシャーシの角度は、後部荷台の重さ等によって変化する。ビームフォーミングでは、シャーシの角度の変化前と変化後による送信波の射出方向のずれを補正し、射出方向を水平に保つ必要が生じる。このような場合、送信波の射出方向を数度の精度で制御することが必要となる。また、このとき、アンテナの配置にもよるが、送信波の位相も数度の精度で調整することが必要になる。
 このような高精度での位相の調整は、特に送信波が高周波数の分野において、既存の位相シフタ11を備える送信器では困難であった。
 本発明は、このような点に鑑みてなされたものであり、数十GHz程度の高周波信号が送信波として使用される送信器において、送信波の位相を高い精度で任意の値に制御可能な送信器、送信方法、位相調整装置、位相調整方法を提供することを目的としている。
 上記課題を解決するため、本発明の一態様の送信器は、入力信号の位相をシフトし、位相がシフトされたシフト信号を出力する位相シフタと、前記位相シフタが前記入力信号の位相をシフトする位相シフト量を予め定められた範囲で変更する第1の制御回路と、前記位相シフタによって出力された前記シフト信号と基準信号とが入力され、前記シフト信号と前記基準信号との位相差に基づく位相差信号を出力する位相差信号出力回路と、前記第1の制御回路が前記位相シフト量を変更している間に前記位相差信号が極値をとる場合、前記位相差信号が前記極値となる前記位相シフト量での前記位相差信号の値を出力する極値出力回路と、前記極値出力回路の出力に基づいて目標値を出力する目標値出力回路と、前記位相差信号出力回路によって出力される前記位相差信号の値が、前記目標値出力回路から出力される前記目標値と一致するように、前記位相シフタの前記位相シフト量を制御する第2の制御回路と、を備え、前記位相シフタは、前記第2の制御回路によって制御された前記位相シフト量で前記入力信号の位相をシフトし、位相がシフトされた前記入力信号を送信波として出力する。
 また、本発明の一態様の送信器は、上記態様において、前記第2の制御回路が、前記位相差信号出力回路から前記位相差信号を入力し、前記目標値出力回路から前記目標値を入力し、前記位相差信号が前記目標値と一致するように前記位相シフタの前記位相シフト量を制御する。
 本発明の一態様の送信方法は、入力信号の位相を、予め設定された位相の範囲でシフトする第1の位相シフトステップと、前記第1の位相シフトステップにおいて位相がシフトされた前記入力信号と基準信号との位相差に基づく位相差信号を生成する位相差信号生成ステップと、前記第1の位相シフトステップにおいて前記入力信号の位相がシフトされている間に前記位相差信号が極値をとる場合、前記位相差信号が前記極値となる位相シフト量での前記位相差信号の値を出力する極値出力ステップと、前記極値出力ステップにおいて出力された前記位相差信号の値に基づいて目標値を出力する目標値出力ステップと、前記位相差信号生成ステップにおいて生成された前記位相差信号の値が前記目標値と一致するように前記入力信号の位相をシフトする第2の位相シフトステップと、を含み、前記第2の位相シフトステップで位相をシフトされた前記入力信号を送信波として出力する。

 本発明の上記態様によれば、数十GHz程度の高周波信号が送信波として使用される送信器において、送信波の位相を高い精度で任意の値に制御可能な送信器、送信方法、位相調整装置、位相調整方法を提供することができる。

 以下、本発明の第1実施形態及び第2実施形態について説明する。
[第1実施形態]
<送信器>
 図1は、第1実施形態の位置調整装置を備えた送信器を説明するためのブロック図である。図1に示した送信器1は、位相調整装置3とアンテナ13とを備えている。
 第1実施形態では、位相調整装置を備える送信器を例に説明するが、第1実施形態の位相調整装置は受信器に適用することも可能である。
<位相調整装置>
 位相調整装置3は、入力された入力信号Wの位相をシフトする位相シフタ11と、位相シフタ11の位相のシフト量を順次変更する第1の制御回路21と、位相シフトされたシフト入力信号WSを分配する分配器15と、分配器15により分配されたシフト入力信号WSと基準信号Rが入力され、シフト入力信号WSと基準信号Rとの位相差に基づく位相差信号を出力する位相差信号出力回路12と、第1の制御回路21が位相シフタ11の位相のシフト量を順次変更したときに得られる位相差信号の極値を取得して出力する極値出力回路14と、極値出力回路14が出力した極値に基づいて目標値を設定して出力する目標値出力回路と、位相差信号出力回路12が出力した極値と目標値が入力され、極値が目標値となるように位相シフタ11の位相のシフト量を制御する第2の制御回路22と、を備えている。
 位相シフトされたシフト入力信号WSは、分配器15を介してアンテナ13に供給され、外部に送信波として出力される。
 なお、第1実施形態においては、入力信号Wが図示しない信号源によって生成され、基準信号Rが図示しない信号生成部によって生成される。信号源及び信号生成部は、送信器1が設けられる機器に設けられているものとする。このような機器としては、例えば、車両に搭載された衝突予防システム等が考えられる。
 次に、図1に示した各構成を説明する。
(位相シフタ)
 位相シフタ11は、入力信号Wの位相をシフトし、シフト入力信号WSを出力する。
(第1の制御回路)
 第1の制御回路21は、位相シフタ11の位相のシフト量を順次変更する。シフト量を変更する具体的な処理としては、例えば、第1の制御回路21が位相シフタ11の位相のシフト量を180度以上の範囲でスイープすることが考えられる。また、例えば、第1の制御回路21は、位相シフタ11の位相のシフト量を60度から240度までの範囲において一定の間隔で繰返し変更することができる。
(分配器)
 分配器15には、シフト入力信号WSが入力される。分配器15は、入力されたシフト入力信号WSをアンテナ13と位相差信号出力回路12とに分配する。
(位相差信号出力回路)
 位相差信号出力回路12には、シフト入力信号WSと基準信号Rとが入力される。位相差信号出力回路12は、シフト入力信号WSと基準信号Rとの位相差に基づく位相差信号を出力する。第1実施形態の位相差信号出力回路は、後に図示するダウンコンバージョンミキサ及びダウンコンバージョンミキサの後段に設けられたローパスフィルタを有する。位相差信号出力回路12は、ダウンコンバージョンミキサで周波数変換を行うことによってシフト入力信号WSと基準信号Rとの位相差に対応する位相差信号を生成し、出力する。
 ここで、ダウンコンバージョンミキサが出力するシフト入力信号WSと基準信号Rとの位相差に対応する信号は、以下の式(1)、式(2)及び式(3)によって表される。
 シフト入力信号WSを式(1)、基準信号Rを式(2)として以下のように示す。式(1)、式(2)において、fは周波数、tは時間、θは位相差である。シフト入力信号WSの周波数と基準信号Rの周波数は同一である。

 上記条件において、ダウンコンバージョンミキサの出力Vは、以下の式(3)によって表される。式(3)によって表される出力Vは、位相差θに応じた直流信号である。また、式(3)において、Kはダウンコンバージョンミキサが持つ変換ゲイン、Dは入力信号Wのパワー、Eは基準信号Rのパワーである。式(3)では、副次的に生成される高周波成分はローパスフィルタにより除去されるとして省略した。

 なお、第1実施形態の位相差信号を生成する構成は、上記したダウンコンバージョンミキサとローパスフィルタを用いて式(3)に記載の演算を行うものに限定されるものではない。また、副次的に生成される高周波成分を除去する構成は、ローパスフィルタに限定されるものではなく、例えば、平均化処理回路であってもよい。
(極値出力回路)
 極値出力回路14には、第1の制御回路21が位相シフタ11の位相のシフト量を順次変更したときの、位相差信号出力回路12の出力が入力される。即ち、極値出力回路14には、式(3)中の位相差θが順次変更されたときの位相差信号が入力される。位相差信号は、極値出力回路14内の図示しないメモリに格納される。
 図2は、第1の制御回路21によって変更される位相シフト量と位相差信号出力回路12から出力される位相差信号との関係を示した図である。図2に示したグラフの縦軸は、位相差信号出力回路12から出力される位相差信号を示し、横軸は第1の制御回路21によって変更される位相シフト量を示している。
 第1の制御回路21が位相シフタ11の位相のシフト量を60度から240度までの範囲でスイープさせた場合、図2中に示した破線四角部Sが示す60度から240度までの範囲の位相シフト量に対応する位相差信号が位相差信号出力回路12から出力される。
 図2に示した曲線Pは、式(3)によって表される。式(3)中の各係数は未知である。図2に示した曲線Pによれば、ある位相において曲線が極大値または極小値をとる点Gが得られる。点Gにおける極大値または極小値の絶対値gは、式(3)中の-K×D×E/2に相当する。なお、本明細書では、極大値及び極小値を総称して「極値」と記す。
 極値出力回路14は、図示しないメモリ内に格納された位相差信号の値から極大値または極小値の絶対値gを取得して出力する。
(目標値出力回路)
 目標値出力回路16の説明に先立って、先ず、シフト入力信号WSの位相を、基準信号Rとの位相差がθとなるように位相調整する方法を説明する。この位相調整は、送信器1の出荷前に製造者によって行われてもよい。また、位相調整は、出荷後にユーザによって用途や使用の目的に応じて任意に行われるものであってもよい。
 シフト入力信号WSと基準信号Rとの位相差がθであった場合、位相差信号出力回路12が出力する位相差信号は式(3)によって表される。式(3)によって得られる-K×D×E/2の絶対値は、点Gにおける極大値または極小値の絶対値gとなる。絶対値gは、極値出力回路14が図5に示した曲線Pから算出することが可能となる。
 例えば、シフト入力信号WSと基準信号Rとの位相差をθ1に調整する場合を想定する。仮に、シフト入力信号WSと基準信号Rとの位相差がθ1であれば、位相差信号出力回路12から出力される位相差信号の値は、g×sinθ1となる。これを利用し、第1実施形態では、シフト入力信号WSと基準信号Rとの位相差をθ1に調整したい場合、位相差信号出力回路12から出力される位相差信号の値がg×sinθ1となるように、位相シフタ11の位相シフト量を調整する。
 目標値出力回路16は、極値出力回路14が出力する絶対値g及びシフト入力信号WSと基準信号Rとの目標位相差θ1から、位相差信号の目標値g×sinθ1を生成して第2の制御回路22に出力する。シフト入力信号WSと基準信号Rとの目標位相差θ1は、外部から入力されてもよいし、目標値出力回路16が保持している値であってもよい。
(第2の制御回路)
 第2の制御回路22には、位相差信号出力回路12が出力する位相差信号と目標値出力回路16が出力した目標値とが入力される。第2の制御回路22は、位相差信号と目標値とが一致するように位相シフタ11の位相のシフト量を制御する。なお、本実施形態において、「位相差信号と目標値とが一致するとが一致するように」とは、具体的には位相差信号と目標値との差を所定値以下にすることをいう。また、第1実施形態では、第2の制御回路22に入力される位相差信号及び目標値が、いずれもA/D変換されたデジタル信号であるものとする。
(位相シフタ)
 位相シフタ11は、第2の制御回路22によって制御される位相のシフト量にしたがって入力信号Wの位相をシフトする。位相のシフトにより、入力信号Wは、基準信号Rに対して目標位相差θ1だけ位相が進んだシフト入力信号WSとなる。シフト入力信号WSは、アンテナ13に供給される。
(アンテナ)
 アンテナ13は、基準信号Rに対して目標位相差θ1だけ位相が進んだシフト入力信号WSを送信波として出力する。
 以上説明した第1実施形態によれば、以下の効果を得ることができる。
 公知の送信器において、ダウンコンバージョンミキサの変換ゲインKや入力信号WのパワーD、基準信号RのパワーEは周囲温度に応じて変動し、位相差信号の極値の絶対値gも周囲温度に応じて変化する。第1実施形態は、周囲温度に応じた絶対値gを取得することが可能であるため、周囲温度によらず、送信波の位相を高い精度で任意の値に制御することが可能である。
 なお、第1実施形態の送信器は、以上説明した構成に限定されるものではない。即ち、以上の説明では、送信器が1つのアンテナを備え、1つのアンテナから出力される送信波と基準信号との位相差を所望の位相差に調整する場合を説明した。しかし、第1実施形態は、アンテナを複数備えた送信器において、複数のアンテナから出力される送信波の位相差を所望の位相差にする場合に適用してもよい。
 例えば送信波w2を出力するアンテナAと送信波W3を出力するアンテナBを備える送信器において、アンテナAから出力される送信波W2とアンテナBから出力される送信波W3との位相差をθ2-θ3にすることを考える。このような場合、第1実施形態では、アンテナAから出力される送信波W2と基準信号Rとの位相差をθ2、アンテナBから出力される送信波W3と基準信号Rとの位相差をθ3とすることによって、アンテナAの送信波とアンテナBの送信波との位相差をθ2-θ3とすることが可能となる。
 また、上記した構成では、第1の制御回路21と第2の制御回路22とを別個の構成としたが、第1実施形態は、このような構成に限定されるものではない。第1実施形態の送信器は、第1の制御回路21と第2の制御回路22との間で一部の回路を共用してもよい。
[第2実施形態]
 図3は、第2実施形態の送信器7を説明するためのブロック図である。図3において、図1に示した構成と同様の構成については同様の符号を付して示している。第2実施形態の送信器7は、位相調整装置33とアンテナ13を有している。位相調整装置33は、位相調整装置1の極値出力回路14、目標値出力回路16、第1の制御回路21及び第2の制御回路22に代えて、プロセッサ6を有する点で送信器1と相違している。なお、第1実施形態の極値出力回路14、目標値出力回路16、第1の制御回路21及び第2の制御回路22は、回路素子で構成されるハードウェアであり、プロセッサ6は、CPUやメモリを含むコンピュータのハードウェアと、コンピュータ上で動作するプログラムを合わせたものである。
 図4は、図3に示したプロセッサ6によって行われる位相調整の処理を説明するためのフローチャートである。以下、図4を使い、プロセッサ6上で動作するプログラムによる送信器7の送信波Wの位相を調整する方法を説明する。
 ステップS81において、プロセッサ6は、位相の調整(キャリブレーション)を開始する。このとき、プロセッサ6には、送信波Wの所望の位相と基準信号Rとの位相差θが入力される。次に、ステップS82において、プロセッサ6は、位相差の調整を行う際の条件を初期値に設定する。この設定は、例えば、最初に送信器7に入力される制御信号の初期値や、プロセッサ6が位相シフタ11の位相を一定の値ずつ変更するにあたり、位相シフタ11に設定される最初の位相及び位相の変更範囲等をいう。
 次にプロセッサ6は、ステップS83において、位相差信号出力回路12から出力される位相差信号の値を図示しないメモリに保存する。次に、ステップS84において、プロセッサ6は、ステップS82において設定された位相の変更範囲の全てにおいて位相差信号の値を記録したか否か判断する。ステップS84において、未だ位相の変更範囲の全てにおいて位相差信号DCの値を記録していないと判断された場合(ステップS84:No)、ステップS89において、位相制御設定をインクリメント、つまり位相を一段階変更する。そして、プロセッサ6は、再びステップS83において、位相を変更した状態において出力された位相差信号を図示しないメモリに保存する。
 また、ステップS84において、位相の全変範囲において位相差信号DCの記録が完了している場合(ステップS84:Yes)、プロセッサ6は、図示しないメモリに保存されている位相差信号DCの値から、極大値または極小値の絶対値gを特定する(ステップS85)。
 次に、ステップS86において、プロセッサ6は、特定された絶対値gとステップS81において入力されたθとにより、g・sinθの値Vを算出する。そして、ステップS87において、位相差信号出力回路12から出力された位相差信号DCを読み取り、ステップS88において、位相差信号DCの値がステップS86で算出されたVと許容範囲内で一致するか否か判断する。ステップS88の判断の結果、位相差信号DCがVと一致していない場合(ステップS88:No)、ステップS90において、プロセッサ6は、位相制御設定を一段階インクリメントする。ステップS87において、プロセッサ6は、次に位相調整装置3から出力された位相差信号DCを読み取る。
 一方、ステップS88の判断の結果、位相差信号DCがVと一致している場合(ステップS88:Yes)、プロセッサ6は、送信器7の送信波Wの位相の調整を完了する。
 以上説明した第2実施形態は、送信器7のキャリブレーションを、プロセッサ6を使って実行することができる。このため、専用の制御回路を用いることなく、汎用的なパーソナルコンピュータ上で図4に示したプログラムを動作させることによって送信器7をキャリブレーションすることができる。
[受信器]
 以上説明した第1実施形態及び第2実施形態は、いずれも位相調整装置を送信器に適用した例を示した。しかし、第1実施形態及び第2実施形態の位相調整装置は、送信器として構成されるものに限定されるものでなく、受信器として構成することも可能である。
 図5は、第1実施形態の通信装置を受信器9として構成した例を示したブロック図である。図5において、図1に示した構成と同様の構成については同様の符号を付し、説明を一部略す。
 受信器9は、受信部34、受信部35と、制御回路5と、を備えている。受信部34、35は、基準信号と被検出信号との位相差を検出し、検出された位相差に対応する位相差信号を生成する位相差信号出力回路29を備えている。位相差信号出力回路29は、ダウンコンバージョンミキサ195及びローパスフィルタ(図中に「LPF」と記す)193を有している。
 また、受信部34、35は、被検出信号の位相を変化させる位相シフタ11を備えている。制御回路5は、位相差信号出力回路29によって生成された位相差信号に対応して位相シフタ11における位相の変化量を決定する。受信器9において、図1に示した極値出力回路14、目標値出力回路16、第1の制御回路21及び第2の制御回路22の機能は、制御回路5が行うものとする。
 受信器9では、被検出信号がアンテナ13によって受信される入力信号Wであり、位相差信号出力回路29に入力される信号が基準信号Rである。
 また、受信部34、35は、位相シフタ11とアンテナ13との間に分配器15を備えている。位相差信号出力回路29と制御回路5との間にはアナログ・デジタル変換器(図中に「ADC」と記す)21をそれぞれ備えている。位相差信号出力回路29から出力される信号は、A/D変換されてDC信号となっている。
 位相シフタ11は、受信部34、35のローカル伝送経路に設けられる。各チャネルに分配された入力信号Wは、位相シフタ11及び分配器15に送られる。分配器15によって分配された入力信号Wは、基準信号Rと共に位相差信号出力回路29のダウンコンバージョンミキサ195に入力される。
 ダウンコンバージョンミキサ195は、入力信号Wと基準信号Rとの位相差に応じた信号をローパスフィルタ193に出力する。ローパスフィルタ193は、入力信号Wと基準信号Rとの位相差に応じた位相差信号をADC25に出力し、ADC25は、位相差信号をデジタル信号に変換して位相差信号DCとして制御回路5に出力する。
 制御回路5は、予め決められた公知の手順に従って情報を処理し、必要な制御信号Cを受信部34、35の位相シフタ11へ出力する。
 以上説明したように、第1実施形態の位相調整装置は、図1に示した送信器1、図5に示した受信器9のいずれとしても構成することができる。第1実施形態の位置調整装置を受信器9に適用することにより、複数の受信器9が受信するローカル信号の位相を揃えることもできる。
 以上説明した本発明は、数十GHz程度の高周波信号を送信波または受信波として使用し、その位相を高い精度で制御する必要がある通信の分野に好適である。

Claims (6)

  1.  入力信号の位相をシフトし、位相がシフトされたシフト信号を出力する位相シフタと、
     前記位相シフタが前記入力信号の位相をシフトする位相シフト量を予め定められた範囲で変更する第1の制御回路と、
     前記位相シフタによって出力された前記シフト信号と基準信号とが入力され、前記シフト信号と前記基準信号との位相差に基づく位相差信号を出力する位相差信号出力回路と、
     前記第1の制御回路が前記位相シフト量を変更している間に前記位相差信号が極値をとる場合、前記位相差信号が前記極値となる前記位相シフト量での前記位相差信号の値を出力する極値出力回路と、
     前記極値出力回路の出力に基づいて目標値を出力する目標値出力回路と、
     前記位相差信号出力回路によって出力される前記位相差信号の値が、前記目標値出力回路から出力される前記目標値と一致するように、前記位相シフタの前記位相シフト量を制御する第2の制御回路と、を備え、
     前記位相シフタは、前記第2の制御回路によって制御された前記位相シフト量で前記入力信号の位相をシフトし、位相がシフトされた前記入力信号を送信波として出力する送信器。
  2.  前記第2の制御回路は、前記位相差信号出力回路から前記位相差信号を入力し、前記目標値出力回路から前記目標値を入力し、前記位相差信号が前記目標値と一致するように前記位相シフタの前記位相シフト量を制御する請求項1に記載の送信器。
  3.  入力信号の位相を、予め設定された位相の範囲でシフトする第1の位相シフトステップと、
     前記第1の位相シフトステップにおいて位相がシフトされた前記入力信号と基準信号との位相差に基づく位相差信号を生成する位相差信号生成ステップと、
     前記第1の位相シフトステップにおいて前記入力信号の位相がシフトされている間に前記位相差信号が極値をとる場合、前記位相差信号が前記極値となる位相シフト量での前記位相差信号の値を出力する極値出力ステップと、
     前記極値出力ステップにおいて出力された前記位相差信号の値に基づいて目標値を出力する目標値出力ステップと、
     前記位相差信号生成ステップにおいて生成された前記位相差信号の値が前記目標値と一致するように前記入力信号の位相をシフトする第2の位相シフトステップと、を含み、
     前記第2の位相シフトステップで位相をシフトされた前記入力信号を送信波として出力する送信方法。
  4.  入力信号の位相をシフトし、位相がシフトされたシフト信号を出力する位相シフタと、
     前記位相シフタが前記入力信号の位相をシフトする位相シフト量を予め定められた範囲で変更する第1の制御回路と、
     前記位相シフタによって出力された前記シフト信号と基準信号とが入力され、前記シフト信号と前記基準信号との位相差に基づく位相差信号を出力する位相差信号出力回路と、
     前記第1の制御回路が前記位相シフト量を変更している間に前記位相差信号が極値をとる場合、前記位相差信号の前記極値を出力する極値出力回路と、
     前記極値出力回路によって出力された前記極値に基づいて設定される目標値を出力する目標値出力回路と、
     前記位相差信号出力回路によって出力される前記位相差信号の値が、前記目標値出力回路から出力される前記目標値と一致するように、前記位相シフタの前記位相シフト量を制御する第2の制御回路と、を備える位相調整装置。
  5.  前記第2の制御回路は、前記位相差信号出力回路から前記位相差信号を入力し、前記目標値出力回路から前記目標値を入力し、前記位相差信号が前記目標値と一致するように前記位相シフタの前記位相シフト量を制御する請求項4に記載の位相調整装置。
  6.  入力信号の位相を、予め設定された位相の範囲でシフトする第1の位相シフトステップと、
     前記第1の位相シフトステップにおいて位相がシフトされた前記入力信号と基準信号との位相差に基づく位相差信号を生成する位相差信号生成ステップと、
     前記第1の位相シフトステップにおいて前記入力信号の位相がシフトされている間に前記位相差信号が極値をとる場合、前記位相差信号が前記極値となる位相シフト量での前記位相差信号の値を出力する極値出力ステップと、
     前記極値出力ステップにおいて出力された前記位相差信号の値に基づいて目標値を出力する目標値出力ステップと、
     前記位相差信号生成ステップにおいて生成された前記位相差信号の値が前記目標値と一致するように前記入力信号の位相をシフトする第2の位相シフトステップと、を含む位相調整方法。
