図1を参照して、本開示に基づく実施の形態1における電子機器について説明する。電子機器501は、筐体1とキャップ2とを備える。電子機器501は、後述するジャック101を備える。ジャック101は、筐体1の内部に配置されている。ジャック101の形状は、模式的に直方体の破線で示しているが、実際のジャック101の形状および大きさはこれに限らない。ジャック101が筐体1のほとんどを占める大きさを有することもありうる。
実施の形態1における電子機器501は、ジャック101を備えるので、過大な引張力が作用したときでも、プラグが簡単に抜けてしまわないようにすることができる。ジャック101についての詳細は後述する。
(実施の形態2)
図2~図9を参照して、本開示に基づく実施の形態2におけるコネクタ構造について説明する。コネクタ構造は、ジャックと、プラグとを備える。まずはジャックの構造を説明する。図1に示したように、ジャック101は、電子機器501の内部に収容されている。図1におけるキャップ2の近傍を拡大したところを図2に示す。図2では、キャップ2の正面の側から見た状態を示している。ここで示すキャップ2の形状はあくまで一例であって、このような形状に限らない。キャップ2が閉じられている状態のジャック101の断面図を図3に示す。ジャック101にとって、キャップ2の存在自体は必須ではない。
図2~図9を参照して、本開示に基づく実施の形態2におけるコネクタ構造について説明する。コネクタ構造は、ジャックと、プラグとを備える。まずはジャックの構造を説明する。図1に示したように、ジャック101は、電子機器501の内部に収容されている。図1におけるキャップ2の近傍を拡大したところを図2に示す。図2では、キャップ2の正面の側から見た状態を示している。ここで示すキャップ2の形状はあくまで一例であって、このような形状に限らない。キャップ2が閉じられている状態のジャック101の断面図を図3に示す。ジャック101にとって、キャップ2の存在自体は必須ではない。
図3に示すように、キャップ2の内側には、受入れ部4を有するジャック本体3が配置されている。ジャック本体3の周辺には壁部7が配置されている。ジャック101は、壁部7を備える。壁部7は、部分7a、部分7bおよび部分7cを含む。壁部7は、部分7a,7b,7cで取り囲むようにして受入れ領域10を規定している。受入れ領域10は係止部を受け入れるためのものである。受入れ領域10は、ジャック本体3から見て部分7aより外側に位置する。部分7aおよび部分7bは水を通さない材料で形成されている。ジャック本体3はパッキン5を介して壁部7の部分7bと接している。キャップ2はパッキン6を介して部分7bと接している。パッキン6は、水を通さないように、ジャック本体3と部分7bとの隙間を封止している。ジャック本体3の受入れ部4の内面には電極9a,9bが露出している。
ジャック101は、外表面が防水領域と非防水領域とに区分されている。図3に示した例では、ジャック本体3、パッキン5および壁部7によって、防水領域と非防水領域とが隔てられている。たとえば図3における壁部7の部分7bの上面は非防水領域である。ジャック本体3の受入れ部4の内面は非防水領域である。ジャック本体3のパッキン5より上側に位置する外面は非防水領域である。一方、部分7bの下面は防水領域である。ジャック本体3のパッキン5より下側に位置する外面は防水領域である。
部分7aは壁のように突出している。部分7aは環状であってもよいが、完全な環状でなくてもよい。
防水領域に電極8a,8bが配置されている。電極8aは電極9aと電気的に接続されている。電極8bは電極9bと電気的に接続されている。図3においては、電極8a,8b,9a,9bの形状は模式的に示しているのであって、実際の形状や位置関係はこの通りとは限らない。
キャップ2を開けた状態の平面図を図4に示す。開けられた状態のキャップ2は、完全に外れてもよいが、何らかの部材を介して引き続き筐体1に接続されていてもよい。図4においては、キャップ2は図示省略している。この状態では、キャップ2を取り去ったことにより開口部11が見えている。開口部11の形状は、キャップ2に対応した形状となっている。開口部11の形状は、このように非対称な形状であってもよい。ただし、ここで示した開口部11の形状はあくまで一例であって、このような形状に限らない。開口部11の形状がキャップ2の形状と大きく異なっていてもよい。
図4では、開口部11の中にジャック本体3が見えている。ジャック本体3の中央に受入れ部4が開口している様子が見えている。ジャック本体3の周囲を取り囲むように部分7aが見えている。開口部11の一方の端に部分7cが見えている。部分7cは部分7bより手前に見えている。図4では、第1領域81および第2領域82が細線で示されている。第1領域81は、部分7bの手前にあって直接見えている領域を指す。第2領域82は部分7bより手前かつ部分7cの向こう側に隠れている領域を示す。
図5~図7を参照して、本開示に基づく実施の形態2におけるコネクタ構造の接続作業の様子を説明する。
図5に示すように、ジャック101に対してプラグ201が矢印91に示すように進入する。プラグ201の中心線が第1軸93である。矢印91は第1軸93に平行である。プラグ201の先端にはプラグ本体51が第1軸93と平行な方向に突出するように配置されている。プラグ本体51はプラグ保持部52によって保持されている。プラグ保持部52もプラグ201の一部である。プラグ本体51は少なくとも一部が導電体で形成されている。プラグ保持部52は主に絶縁体で形成されている。プラグ201はプラグ保持部52から側方に突出する係止部53を備える。係止部53は、第1領域81に向かって進入する。第1領域81は部分7cに覆われずに直接露出しているので、係止部53の先端部は第1軸93方向に沿って移動することによって第1領域81に到達することができる。こうして、プラグ201が矢印91の方向の進入を完了したところを図6に示す。係止部53の先端は既に第1領域81に収まっている。この時点では、係止部53の先端は見えている。この状態は、挿入は完了しているが、コネクタとしてのロックは解除されている状態である。
次に、図7に示すように、プラグ201を矢印92の向きに回転させる。矢印92は第1軸93を中心とした回転を示している。回転する角度はたとえば50°であってもよい。プラグ201はジャック101に対する挿入状態を維持したまま回転するので、係止部53が第1軸93の周りに回転移動する。係止部53が回転移動したことにより、係止部53の先端部は、壁部7の部分7cの裏側に入り込んでいる。この状態は、コネクタとしてのロックが完了している状態である。この状態の断面図を図8に示す。図8は図3とは異なる方向の断面で切った様子を示している。図8に示した状態においては、壁部7の部分7aは、プラグ保持部52の周りを囲むように位置している。係止部53は部分7aをまたぐようにして部分7aの外側に到達している。
プラグ201を単独で取り出したところを図9に示す。プラグ201は、プラグ本体51と、プラグ保持部52と、係止部53とを備える。
実施の形態2におけるコネクタ構造においては、係止部53を用いてロックすることができるので、過大な引張力が作用したときでも、プラグがジャックから簡単に抜けてしまわないようにすることができる。
(実施の形態3)
図10を参照して、本開示に基づく実施の形態3における電子機器について説明する。電子機器502は、本開示に基づくいずれかのプラグ201を備える。プラグ201は、プラグ本体51と、プラグ保持部52と、係止部53とを備える。プラグ201の詳細は、後述する。

(実施の形態4)
図11を参照して、本開示に基づく実施の形態4における電子機器について説明する。電子機器503は、電子機器501と、電子機器502とを備える。電子機器503は、本開示に基づくいずれかのコネクタ構造301を備える。コネクタ構造301は、ジャック101と、プラグ201とを備える。電子機器501は、ジャック101を備える。電子機器501の外面にはジャック101の開口部11が開口している。コネクタ構造301の詳細は後述する。
図11を参照して、本開示に基づく実施の形態4における電子機器について説明する。電子機器503は、電子機器501と、電子機器502とを備える。電子機器503は、本開示に基づくいずれかのコネクタ構造301を備える。コネクタ構造301は、ジャック101と、プラグ201とを備える。電子機器501は、ジャック101を備える。電子機器501の外面にはジャック101の開口部11が開口している。コネクタ構造301の詳細は後述する。
実施の形態4における電子機器503は、コネクタ構造301を備えているので、過大な引張力が作用したときでも、プラグがジャックから抜けにくい。
電子機器503に含まれる電子機器501,502について、図11ではそれぞれ箱状のものとして表示しているが、これは模式化して示しているに過ぎない。実際には、電子機器501,502の形状はこの通りとは限らない。電子機器501,502は、それぞれ用途に応じてさまざまな形態のものがありうる。
ここで念のため、これまでに掲げた実施の形態における開示内容を改めて整理する。構成の変形例についての説明もいくらか補う。
(コネクタ構造)
コネクタ構造301は、受入れ部4を有するジャック101と、ジャック101に対して接続可能なプラグ201とを備える。ジャック101は、受入れ部4の周辺に位置する壁部7を備える。壁部7は係止部を受け入れるための受入れ領域10を規定する。プラグ201は、第1軸93方向に沿って受入れ部4に挿入されるプラグ本体51と、プラグ本体51を保持するプラグ保持部52と、プラグ保持部52から少なくとも側方に突出する部分を含み、少なくとも一部が受入れ領域10に挿入される係止部53とを備える。
コネクタ構造301は、受入れ部4を有するジャック101と、ジャック101に対して接続可能なプラグ201とを備える。ジャック101は、受入れ部4の周辺に位置する壁部7を備える。壁部7は係止部を受け入れるための受入れ領域10を規定する。プラグ201は、第1軸93方向に沿って受入れ部4に挿入されるプラグ本体51と、プラグ本体51を保持するプラグ保持部52と、プラグ保持部52から少なくとも側方に突出する部分を含み、少なくとも一部が受入れ領域10に挿入される係止部53とを備える。
受入れ領域10は、係止部53が第1軸93方向に沿って移動することで係止部53の少なくとも一部が出入り可能な第1領域81と、係止部53の少なくとも一部が第1領域81に挿入された状態で係止部53が第1軸93を中心に回転したときに係止部53の少なくとも一部が進入しうる第2領域82とを含む。
受入れ部4を正面から見たときに、第2領域82は壁部7によって覆われている。より詳しくは、第2領域82は壁部7の一部である部分7cによって覆われている。
この構成を採用することにより、コネクタ構造301は係止部53を用いたロックが可能となり、過大な引張力が作用したときでも抜けにくい。
コネクタ構造301においては、図9に示したように、係止部53は、プラグ保持部52から側方に突出する第1部分61と、第1部分61から第1軸93方向に延在する第2部分62と、第2部分62の第1部分61とは反対側の端から側方に延在する第3部分63とを含んでもよい。この構成を採用することにより、ジャック本体3と受入れ領域10との間に壁状に突出する部分があっても、その部分を乗り越えるようにして第3部分63を受入れ領域10に到達させることができる。
係止部53の少なくとも一部が第2領域82に配置されている状態で、プラグ201をジャック101から引き離す方向の力が加わったときには、前記力が予め定められた基準以下の場合には、第2領域82を覆う壁部7が係止部53の少なくとも一部に当接することによって、プラグ201がジャック101から引き抜かれることが抑止されるが、前記力が前記基準を超える場合には、係止部53および壁部7の少なくとも一方が弾性変形することにより係止部53が受入れ領域10から離脱しうることとしてもよい。この構成を採用することにより、係止部53の破損を回避することができる。
図3に示したように、コネクタ構造301に備わるジャック101は、プラグ201との接続がされていない状態のときに少なくとも受入れ部4を塞ぐことができる、キャップ2を備えてもよい。この構成を採用することにより、ジャック本体3を保護することができる。ジャック101がプラグ201と接続されていない状態のときにキャップ2で開口部11を塞ぐようにすることで、受入れ部4に異物が入り込む確率を低減することができる。
実施の形態2で説明したように、コネクタ構造301においては、ジャック101の外表面が防水領域と非防水領域とに区分されており、受入れ部4および受入れ領域10は、非防水領域に露出していてもよい。このように、ジャック101の外表面が防水領域と非防水領域とに区分されている場合には、防水領域の防水性を維持しつつ、過大な引張力が作用したときでも、プラグがジャックから抜けにくい。
実施の形態2で説明したように、コネクタ構造301は、ジャック101の内部に電極8a,8bを有し、電極8a,8bと受入れ部4の内面の少なくとも一部との間で電気的接続がなされていてもよい。この構成を採用することにより、受入れ部4に挿入されるプラグの表面とジャック101の内部との間で電極を利用した電気的接続を確実に実現することができる。「受入れ部4の内面の少なくとも一部」とは、たとえば電極9a,9bである。
(ジャック)
ジャック101は、受入れ部4を有するジャック101であって、受入れ部4の周辺に壁部7を備える。壁部7は受入れ領域10を規定する。受入れ領域10は、係止部を受け入れるためのものである。受入れ領域10は、係止部53が第1軸93方向に沿って移動することで係止部53の少なくとも一部が出入り可能な第1領域81と、係止部53の少なくとも一部が第1領域81に挿入された状態で係止部53が第1軸93の周りに回転したときに係止部53の少なくとも一部が進入しうる第2領域82とを含む。受入れ部4を正面から見たときに、第2領域82は壁部7によって覆われている。この構成を採用することにより、ジャック101においては、プラグ201側に設けられた係止部53を用いたロックが可能となり、過大な引張力が作用したときでも抜けにくい。
ジャック101は、受入れ部4を有するジャック101であって、受入れ部4の周辺に壁部7を備える。壁部7は受入れ領域10を規定する。受入れ領域10は、係止部を受け入れるためのものである。受入れ領域10は、係止部53が第1軸93方向に沿って移動することで係止部53の少なくとも一部が出入り可能な第1領域81と、係止部53の少なくとも一部が第1領域81に挿入された状態で係止部53が第1軸93の周りに回転したときに係止部53の少なくとも一部が進入しうる第2領域82とを含む。受入れ部4を正面から見たときに、第2領域82は壁部7によって覆われている。この構成を採用することにより、ジャック101においては、プラグ201側に設けられた係止部53を用いたロックが可能となり、過大な引張力が作用したときでも抜けにくい。
上述のジャック101においては、プラグ201との接続がされていない状態のときに少なくとも受入れ部4を塞ぐことができる、キャップ2を備えてもよい。この構成を採用することにより、ジャック本体3を保護することができる。ジャック101がプラグ201と接続されていない状態のときにキャップ2で開口部11を塞ぐようにすることで、受入れ部4に異物が入り込む確率を低減することができる。
キャップ2はパッキン6を備え、キャップ2を閉じた状態では、パッキン6が壁部7の一部に対して押し当てられる構成であってもよい。この構成を採用することにより、キャップ2を閉じているときにキャップ2の周りの隙間から受入れ部4に異物が侵入する確率を低減することができる。「壁部7の一部」とはたとえば部分7aである。ここで示す例では、キャップ2は裏面に円筒形状の部分を有し、パッキン6は、環状の部材であり、この円筒形状の部分を取り囲むように配置されている。壁部7の一部である部分7aは、キャップ2が閉じられた状態ではキャップ2の裏面の円筒形状の部分を取り囲むように配置された壁状の部分である。キャップ2が閉じられた状態では、部分7aとキャップ2とはパッキン6を介して接する。パッキン6は防水性を有してもよい。パッキン6は防塵性を有してもよい。
実施の形態2で説明したように、ジャック101は、外表面が防水領域と非防水領域とに区分されており、受入れ部4および受入れ領域10は、非防水領域に露出していてもよい。このように、ジャック101の外表面が防水領域と非防水領域とに区分されている場合には、防水領域の防水性を維持しつつ、過大な引張力が作用したときでも、プラグがジャックから抜けにくくすることができる。
実施の形態2で説明したように、ジャック101は、内部に電極8a,8bを有し、電極8a,8bと受入れ部4の内面の少なくとも一部との間で電気的接続がなされていてもよい。この構成を採用することにより、受入れ部4に挿入されるプラグの表面とジャック101の内部との間で電極を利用した電気的接続を確実に実現することができる。「受入れ部4の内面の少なくとも一部」とは、たとえば電極9a,9bである。
(プラグ)
図9に示したように、プラグ201は、ジャック101に対して接続可能なプラグ201であって、ジャック101に設けられた受入れ部4に第1軸93方向に沿って挿入されるプラグ本体51と、プラグ本体51を保持するプラグ保持部52と、プラグ保持部52から少なくとも側方に突出する部分を含み、少なくとも一部がジャック101に設けられた受入れ領域10に挿入される係止部53とを備える。この構成を採用することにより、プラグ201においては、ジャック101に対して接続した後にロックすることが可能となるので、過大な引張力が作用したときでも抜けにくい。
図9に示したように、プラグ201は、ジャック101に対して接続可能なプラグ201であって、ジャック101に設けられた受入れ部4に第1軸93方向に沿って挿入されるプラグ本体51と、プラグ本体51を保持するプラグ保持部52と、プラグ保持部52から少なくとも側方に突出する部分を含み、少なくとも一部がジャック101に設けられた受入れ領域10に挿入される係止部53とを備える。この構成を採用することにより、プラグ201においては、ジャック101に対して接続した後にロックすることが可能となるので、過大な引張力が作用したときでも抜けにくい。
上述のプラグ201において、係止部53は、プラグ保持部52から側方に突出する第1部分61と、第1部分61から第1軸93方向に延在する第2部分62と、第2部分62の第1部分61とは反対側の端から側方に延在する第3部分63とを含んでもよい。この構成を採用することにより、ジャック本体3と受入れ領域10との間に壁状に突出する部分があっても、その部分を乗り越えるようにして第3部分63を受入れ領域10に到達させることができる。
上記各実施の形態では、1つのプラグに対して1つの係止部のみが設けられている例を示したが、1つのプラグに対して複数の係止部が設けられていてもよい。
上記各実施の形態で示した係止部の形状はあくまで一例であって、これに限らない。他のさまざまな形状の係止部が考えられる。壁部の形状についても同様のことがいえる。
上記実施の形態のうち複数を適宜組み合わせて採用してもよい。
ここまで「電子機器」という用語を用いて説明したが、電子機器は、たとえば携帯電話、携帯情報端末、タブレット端末、パーソナルコンピュータ、ゲーム機、テレビ受像機、携帯音楽プレーヤー、CDプレーヤー、DVDプレーヤー、電子辞書、電子書籍リーダー、デジタルカメラ、ビデオカメラ、ラジオ受信機、カーナビゲーションシステムなどを含む広い概念である。携帯電話または携帯情報端末の概念にはスマートフォンが含まれる。
ここまで「電子機器」という用語を用いて説明したが、電子機器は、たとえば携帯電話、携帯情報端末、タブレット端末、パーソナルコンピュータ、ゲーム機、テレビ受像機、携帯音楽プレーヤー、CDプレーヤー、DVDプレーヤー、電子辞書、電子書籍リーダー、デジタルカメラ、ビデオカメラ、ラジオ受信機、カーナビゲーションシステムなどを含む広い概念である。携帯電話または携帯情報端末の概念にはスマートフォンが含まれる。
今回開示した上記実施の形態はすべての点で例示であって制限的なものではない。本開示の範囲は請求の範囲によって示され、請求の範囲と均等の意味および範囲内でのすべての変更を含むものである。

Claims (16)
- 受入れ部を有するジャックと、
前記ジャックに対して接続可能なプラグとを備え、
前記ジャックは、
前記受入れ部の周辺に位置して係止部を受け入れるための受入れ領域を規定する壁部を備え、
前記プラグは、
第1軸方向に沿って前記受入れ部に挿入されるプラグ本体と、
前記プラグ本体を保持するプラグ保持部と、
前記プラグ保持部から少なくとも側方に突出する部分を含み、少なくとも一部が前記受入れ領域に挿入される前記係止部とを備え、
前記受入れ領域は、前記係止部が前記第1軸方向に沿って移動することで前記係止部の少なくとも一部が出入り可能な第1領域と、前記係止部の少なくとも一部が前記第1領域に挿入された状態で前記係止部が前記第1軸を中心に回転したときに前記係止部の少なくとも一部が進入しうる第2領域とを含み、

- 前記ジャックの外表面が防水領域と非防水領域とに区分されており、前記受入れ部および前記受入れ領域は、前記非防水領域に露出している、請求項1に記載のコネクタ構造。
- 前記ジャックの内部に電極を有し、前記電極と前記受入れ部の内面の少なくとも一部との間で電気的接続がなされている、請求項1に記載のコネクタ構造。
- 係止部を有するプラグを受け入れる受入れ部と、
前記受入れ部の周辺に位置して係止部を受け入れるための受入れ領域を規定する壁部とを備え、
前記受入れ領域は、前記係止部が第1軸方向に沿って移動することで前記係止部の少なくとも一部が出入り可能な第1領域と、前記係止部の少なくとも一部が前記第1領域に挿入された状態で前記係止部が前記第1軸の周りに回転したときに前記係止部の少なくとも一部が進入しうる第2領域とを含み、
