Definitions
- R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , R 5 , R 6 , R 7 and R 8 When a plurality of R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , R 5 , R 6 , R 7 and R 8 are present, they may be the same or different.
- X a and X b represent a single bond or a group represented by —CR 11 R 12 —CR 13 R 14 —. However, one of X a and X b is a single bond, and the other is a group represented by —CR 11 R 12 —CR 13 R 14 —.
- R 15 , R 16 , R 17 and R 18 are each independently a hydrogen atom, alkyl group, cycloalkyl group, alkoxy group, cycloalkoxy group, aryl group, aryloxy group, monovalent heterocyclic group or halogen atom. These groups may have a substituent. When there are a plurality of R 15 , R 16 , R 17 and R 18 , they may be the same or different. ] [6] The m 1 and m 2 is 3 or 4, a metal complex according to [5].
- the ring A has a pyridine ring which may have a substituent, a pyrimidine ring which may have a substituent, a quinoline ring which may have a substituent, and a substituent.
- the present invention it is possible to provide a metal complex having an excellent quantum yield and an excellent half-value width of an emission spectrum. Moreover, according to this invention, the light emitting element obtained using the composition containing this metal complex and this metal complex can be provided. Since the metal complex of the present invention is excellent in quantum yield, a light-emitting element obtained using the metal complex is excellent in external quantum efficiency. In addition, since the metal complex of the present invention is excellent in the half-value width of the emission spectrum, when a light-emitting element obtained using the metal complex is used in combination with a color filter, the cavity of the light-emitting element obtained using the metal complex has When adjusted, the external quantum efficiency is even better.
- the “alkyl group” may be linear or branched.
- the number of carbon atoms of the linear alkyl group is usually 1 to 50, preferably 3 to 30, and more preferably 4 to 20, excluding the number of carbon atoms of the substituent.
- the number of carbon atoms of the branched alkyl group is usually 3 to 50, preferably 3 to 30, and more preferably 4 to 20, excluding the number of carbon atoms of the substituent.
- the number of carbon atoms of the “cycloalkyl group” is usually 3 to 50, preferably 3 to 30, more preferably 4 to 20, excluding the number of carbon atoms of the substituent.
- P-valent heterocyclic group (p represents an integer of 1 or more) is a p-group of hydrogen atoms directly bonded to a carbon atom or a hetero atom constituting a ring from a heterocyclic compound. This means the remaining atomic group excluding the hydrogen atom.
- this is an atomic group obtained by removing p hydrogen atoms from an aromatic heterocyclic compound directly bonded to carbon atoms or heteroatoms constituting the ring.
- a “p-valent aromatic heterocyclic group” is preferable.
- Halogen atom means a fluorine atom, a chlorine atom, a bromine atom or an iodine atom.
- the “amino group” may have a substituent, and a substituted amino group is preferable.
- a substituent which an amino group has an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group or a monovalent heterocyclic group is preferable.
- the substituted amino group include a dialkylamino group, a dicycloalkylamino group, and a diarylamino group.
