まず、本開示の一実施形態による推薦システムの概要を図1に示して説明する。図1に示すように、本実施形態による推薦システムは、ユーザにPOI情報を提示するクライアント2と、POI情報の探索およびPOI情報探索時の方針を示すアイテムである探索コンテクストラベル(探索軸)の抽出を行うサーバ1とを含む。クライアント2は、基地局3と無線接続し、ネットワーク4に接続しているサーバ1とデータの送受信を行う。

図2は、本実施形態によるサーバ1の構成の一例を示すブロック図である。図2に示すように、サーバ1は、制御部10、通信部11、POI情報DB(データベース)13、探索コンテクストラベルDB14、およびユーザモデルDB15を有する。

また、探索コンテクストラベル抽出部10aは、クライアント2から、ユーザによるPOI情報または探索コンテクストラベルの選択操作をフィードバック情報として取得した場合、かかる直近のフィードバック情報に基づいて各探索コンテクストラベルの特徴量スコアを算出する。コンテクスト特徴量スコアは、現在のユーザの探索目的に合うほど(相関性が高いほど)高いスコアになるよう算出されるものである。本明細書において具体的な算出方法については特に限定しない。そして、探索コンテクストラベル抽出部10aは、算出したコンテクスト特徴量スコアが高い探索コンテクストラベルから優先的に抽出することで、よりユーザの現在の探索目的に合った探索コンテクストラベルを抽出することができる。
また、探索コンテクストラベル抽出部10aは、ユーザモデルDB15に格納されたユーザのフィードバック履歴から推定されるユーザ嗜好を参照し、ユーザ嗜好に合致した(ユーザ嗜好と相関性が高い)探索コンテクストラベルを抽出することも可能である。より具体的には、探索コンテクストラベル抽出部10aは、ある程度場所で絞り込みを行った上で探索コンテクストラベルに対してユーザ嗜好を反映した重み付けを行い、よりユーザ嗜好に合致した探索コンテクストラベルから優先的に抽出する。また、ユーザ嗜好は場所や時間毎に算出されてもよい。例えば、ユーザが平日A駅にいる時は安い価格帯の飲食店を好むため、探索コンテクストラベル抽出部10aは、価格帯が安い店を検索対象とする探索コンテクストラベルを抽出する。また、ユーザが休日A駅以外にいる時は夜景の見えるコース料理のある高い価格帯の飲食店を好むため、探索コンテクストラベル抽出部10aは、夜景の見える店、コース料理を出している店、価格帯が高い店をそれぞれ検索対象とする各探索コンテクストラベルを抽出する。
また、探索コンテクストラベル抽出部10aは、ユーザモデルDB15に格納された、ユーザの行動ログに基づくユーザ行動パターンを参照し、ユーザ行動パターンに合致した(相関性が高い)探索コンテクストラベルから優先的に抽出することも可能である。例えば、ユーザが現在A駅にいる場合であっても、ユーザの行動パターンに基づくと、B駅またはC駅に移動する可能性がある場合、探索コンテクストラベル抽出部10aは、A駅に加えて、B駅およびC駅周辺のPOI情報を探索対象とする探索コンテクストラベルも抽出する。
以上、探索コンテクストラベルの抽出方法について具体的に説明した。なお本実施形態による推薦システムは、上述した各抽出方法の少なくともいずれか1以上を組み合わせて探索コンテクストラベルを抽出してもよい。その際、探索コンテクストラベル抽出部10aは、各探索コンテクストラベルに対し、所定の場所との相関性(距離の近さを示す位置特徴量)、直近フィードバックに基づくユーザコンテクスト(探索目的)との相関性(コンテクスト特徴量)、ユーザ嗜好との相関性(嗜好特徴量)、ユーザ行動パターンとの相関性(行動パターン特徴量)を算出し、それぞれを重みとして掛け合わせたスコアに従って、探索コンテクストラベルの抽出を行う。
POI情報探索部10bは、POI情報DB13からユーザに提示するPOI情報を探索する。POI情報の探索は、例えばユーザモデルDB15に格納されたユーザの現在位置、選択された探索コンテクストラベル、直近フィードバックに基づくPOI特徴量、またはフィードバック履歴に基づくユーザ嗜好の少なくともいずれかに応じて行われる。以下、かかるPOI情報の探索についてそれぞれ具体的に説明する。
ユーザの現在位置に応じたPOI情報の探索は、最初にクライアント2から現在位置情報と共にPOI探索要求が送信された場合に行われ得る。POI情報探索部10bは、ユーザの現在地周辺に紐付けられたPOI情報を、ユーザの現在地に近いものから優先的に探索する。探索するPOI情報の数は特に限定せず、上位所定数のPOI情報を探索結果として出力してもよい。このように、POI情報探索部10bは、探索するPOI情報を場所に応じて絞り込むことができる。
また、POI情報探索部10bは、クライアント2から、ユーザによる探索コンテクストラベルの選択操作をフィードバック情報として取得した場合、選択された探索コンテクストラベルで示される探索方針に基づいてPOI情報を探索する。
また、POI情報探索部10bは、クライアント2から送信された直近のフィードバック情報(POI情報および探索コンテクストラベルの選択操作)に基づいて各POI情報の特徴量スコアを算出する。POI情報の特徴量スコアは、現在のユーザの探索目的に合うほど高いスコアになるよう算出されるものである。本明細書において具体的な算出方法については特に限定しない。そして、POI情報探索部10bは、算出したPOI情報特徴量スコアが高いPOI情報から優先的に探索することで、よりユーザの現在の探索目的に合ったPOI情報を探索することができる。
また、POI情報探索部10bは、ユーザモデルDB15に格納されたユーザのフィードバック履歴から推定されるユーザ嗜好を参照し、ユーザ嗜好に合致したPOI情報を探索することも可能である。
以上、POI情報の探索方法について具体的に説明した。なお本実施形態による推薦システムは、上述した各探索方法の少なくともいずれか1以上を組み合わせてPOI情報を抽出してもよい。
提示制御部10cは、探索コンテクストラベル抽出部10aにより抽出された1以上の探索コンテクストラベルと、POI情報探索部10bにより探索された1以上のPOI情報を、クライアント2からユーザに提示するよう制御する。具体的には、提示制御部10cは、探索コンテクストラベルおよびPOI情報の提示を指示する制御信号を通信部11からクライアント2に送信するよう制御する。この際、提示制御部10cは、探索コンテクストラベル抽出部10aおよびPOI情報探索部10bによりそれぞれ優先的に抽出、探索された探索コンテクストラベル、POI情報(例えば、それぞれの特徴量スコアが上位のもの)を優先的に(上位に/先頭に)提示するよう制御する。
学習部10dは、クライアント2から送信された、POI情報の選択履歴および探索コンテクストラベルの選択履歴といったフィードバック情報をユーザモデルDB15に格納するフィードバック部として機能する。また、学習部10dは、フィードバック情報の履歴に基づいてユーザ嗜好を算出し、算出したユーザ嗜好をユーザモデルDB15に格納してもよい。
通信部11は、無線/有線により外部装置と接続し、データの送受信を行う機能を有する。本実施形態による通信部11は、例えばクライアント2と接続し、現在位置情報やフィードバック情報を受信したり、提示制御部10cによる制御に従ってPOI情報、探索コンテクストラベルを提示するよう指示する制御信号を送信したりする。
図3は、本実施形態によるクライアント2の構成の一例を示すブロック図である。クライアント2は、図1に示すようなスマートフォン端末であってもよいし、また、タブレット端末、携帯電話端末、PDA(Personal Digital Assistant)、PC(Personal Computer)、携帯用音楽プレーヤー、携帯用ゲーム機、またはウェアラブル端末(HMD(ヘッドマウントディスプレイ)、メガネ型HMD、時計型端末、バンド型端末等)であってもよい。
続いて、本実施形態による推薦システムの動作処理について、図4を参照して説明する。
<4-1.POI情報および探索コンテクストラベルを提示する基本UI例>
まず、POI情報および探索コンテクストラベルを提示する基本UI例について図5~図7を参照して説明する。
図7を参照して上述した例では、表示画面上の一の探索コンテクストラベルがタップして選択すると同時に、クライアント2からサーバ1に対して再探索・再抽出の要求が行われ、サーバ1から返信された再探索POI情報・再抽出散策コンテクストラベルの表示画面に遷移するが、本実施形態はこれに限定されない。例えば、複数の探索コンテクストラベルを選択した上で、サーバ1に対いて再探索・再抽出の要求ができるようにしてもよい。以下、図8、図9を参照して説明する。
図5、図6を参照して上述した実施形態では、探索コンテクストラベルのジャンル(カテゴリ)に応じて異なる色で表示する場合について説明したが、本実施形態による探索コンテクストラベルの表示態様はこれに限定されない。以下、図10~図12を参照して具体的に説明する。
続いて、過去履歴を併せて提示するUI例について、図13~図14を参照して説明する。ユーザは、情報探索中に、関心・興味などが短い時間で変化することがある。例えば、レストラン情報を探していて、最初は「イタリアン」の分野を探していたが、その後「中華」の分野が気になって探すといった状況が頻繁に起こり得る。また、探索中に出てきた情報を後からもう一度見たくなる場合もある。そこで、本実施形態では、現在の探索結果と共に過去の探索結果(履歴)も表示することを可能とする。
以上説明したUI例は、POI情報および探索コンテクストラベルを併せて表示するための十分な表示領域がある場合を前提としている。具体的には、クライアント2が、例えばスマートフォン、タブレット端末、ノートPC等により実現された場合、表示領域は十分にあると言える。
次いで、本実施形態による推薦システムの補足を行う。上述した実施形態では、提示された探索コンテクストラベルからユーザが望むものを選択していくことにより所望のPOI情報を取得するが、本実施形態はこれに限定されず、例えば望まないものを選択するネガティブなフィードバックを行えるようにしてもよい。
上述したように、本開示の実施形態による推薦システムでは、具体的なPOI情報と共に、POI情報探索の方針を示す探索コンテクストラベルもユーザに提示し、探索目的に合った探索コンテクストラベルをユーザに選択させることを可能とする。

- 前記表示画面では、前記1以上の探索軸が、さらにユーザ行動パターンとの相関性の高さを考慮した順で表示される、請求項1に記載の表示制御装置。
- 前記表示画面では、前記1以上の探索軸の色または大きさが、前記探索軸のジャンル毎に異なるよう表示される、請求項1に記載の表示制御装置。
- 前記表示画面では、前記1以上の探索軸の色または大きさが、探索軸の推薦度に応じて異なるよう表示される、請求項1に記載の表示制御装置。
- 前記表示制御部は、POI情報および探索軸が順次流れるよう表示制御する、請求項1に記載の表示制御装置。
- ユーザに推薦するPOI情報と前記POI情報を探索するための1以上の探索軸とを併せて表示画面に表示するよう制御することを含み、
