Further, the light RL generated in the region R can be generated in all directions (solid angle 4 ⁇ ).
- the light RL generated toward the front passes through the window portion 14 and is emitted from the opening 11e while being repeatedly reflected by the reflecting portion 13. Further, the light RL generated toward the rear proceeds toward the light reflecting portion 15 while being repeatedly reflected by the reflecting portion 13. Then, the light RL is reflected by the light reflecting portion 15 and is transmitted through the window portion 14 while being repeatedly reflected by the reflecting portion 13 and is emitted from the opening 11e. In this way, the light RL is oriented forward.

- the chamber 10 of Example 1 was able to improve the Raman light generation probability about five times as compared with the chamber of Comparative Example 1.
- Comparative Example 1 only 6% of the generated Raman light could be detected.
- Example 1 63% of the generated Raman light was detected.
- the detection efficiency of Raman light was able to be improved about 10 times compared with Comparative Example 1.
- Comparative Example 1 it is necessary to use a mirror having a large diameter in order to reflect the excitation light EL a plurality of times. Therefore, the chamber had a diameter of 10 cm, a length of about 35 cm, and a volume of 2700 cm 3 . On the other hand, the volume of the chamber 10 of Example 1 was 0.1 cm 3 or less. For this reason, in Comparative Example 1, it is difficult to measure a very small amount of sample gas, and the size of the optical measurement device cannot be reduced. On the other hand, the chamber 10 of Example 1 can be made smaller than that of Comparative Example 1, can reduce the amount of sample used, and can effectively generate Raman light. Moreover, since the volume of the chamber 10 of Example 1 was small, the time for which the sample circulated was short, and the response speed of the measurement was high.
- the reflectance at the surface of the window 114 was increased, and the generation efficiency of Raman light was reduced.
- the angle theta 2 which the excitation light EL is incident on the window 14 is the Brewster angle
- the surface 11a side of the main body portion 11 at an angle theta 1 with respect to the axis AX the surface 11a side of the main body portion 11 at an angle theta 1 with respect to the axis AX .
- the transmittance of the excitation light EL in the window portion 14 can be improved, and a decrease in the amount of the excitation light EL supplied to the region R can be suppressed. For this reason, the generation efficiency of Raman light in the chamber 10 could be improved.
- the Raman light generated in the chamber 100 of Comparative Example 2 was oriented forward as in the chamber 10 of Example 1, but the Raman light emitted from the chamber 100 was emitted with a solid angle of 2 ⁇ . For this reason, it is difficult to collect the Raman light emitted from the chamber 100, and the detection efficiency is lowered.

Description
反射防止構造としては、AR(Anti-Reflection)膜及び微細構造等が用いられ得る。
