Definitions
- the present invention refers to a coating for surfaces, whether they are vertical (walls) or horizontal (ceilings and floors).
- the present invention refers to a coating that is easy to disassemble.
- a problem with the coatings is the disassembly of the same, for example, to access service lines or to perform maintenance / repair of the coating itself.
- the disassembly operation makes at least part of the coating useless, or with the passage of time tensions are generated that deform the elements of the coating in such a way that it is not even possible to disassemble and further assembly.
- the Spanish Utility Model document ES1029601U discloses a mobile and completely removable parquet flooring that is constituted by a plurality of parket boards equipped with tongue and groove elements on its sides.
- the boards on their lower face, have a longitudinal groove with a T section that guides a plurality of staples, which, once placed in their seat within the guide provided in each board, are coupled on profiles with general U-shaped section with bent top ends inland.
- the staples in this document are flat staples with a horizontal head and two folded arms. Each arm has a 90 ° fold whose function is to press against the vertical wall of the profile into which they are inserted. These staples were implemented in metallic material.
- the clips do not prevent the movement of the boards in a horizontal direction, along the axes defined by the profiles and by the grooves of the boards.
- a problem associated with this pavement is that it is not valid for ceilings or walls. Indeed, the clip does not exert a sufficient retention force, especially in the vertical direction, which causes the slats to give way spontaneously.
- Another problem is that the clips had plastic deformations, all of which must be replaced after disassembly.
- a further problem with this pavement is that it is not valid for placement outside, since although it allows the movements of the boards due to thermal expansion or moisture absorption, it does not have water drainage channels.
- Document DE 4115900 Al discloses a roof or wall covering comprising recessed guides that are covered by plates with guides perpendicular to the recessed guides.
- the recessed guides and the plates are joined by staples that have a flat and smooth head that can slide along the guides of the plates and that has two legs that are inserted into the recessed guides.
- the legs end in two feet intended to make contact with the wall of the recessed guide cavity immediately adjacent to the groove of the recessed guide. The feet thus prevent the plates from falling due to gravity.
- the legs do not make contact with the wall opposite the said wall adjacent to the groove, so that the coating is not valid for floors and, in addition, any dimensional defect of the clip makes the entire weight of the plate concentrate at one point of the staple and the falls of the plates to the ground are frequent.
- Valid outdoor coatings are known in which a gap or channel is left between the boards. Said separation is achieved by placing staples between adjacent boards.
- the clip is fixed to the support structure and also to each of the boards.
- the edges of the boards can have both flat finish and tongue and groove finish, as can be seen in documents ES1041505U and ES2393678T3.
- the placement of the staples fixes the boards and they no longer have the capacity to absorb movements.
- the boards are no longer easily removable: the clip becomes indented in the boards and causes damage to the boards.
- It is another objective of the present invention to disclose a coating that allows the movement of its plates and, at the same time, that there is a separation between plates that allows passage through water and air.
- the present invention discloses in a coating comprising a structure formed by a plurality of plates provided on its lower face with at least one guide formed by a groove that gives access to a larger cavity, in cross section, that the opening corresponding to the groove and longitudinal profiles perpendicular to the aforementioned grooves of the plates, said profiles in turn presenting a profile guide formed by a groove that gives access to a cavity with larger dimensions, in cross-section, than the groove , being in the areas of intersection between the guides of the plates and the guides of the profiles some staples housed simultaneously in the cavities of both guides of the plate and the profile, characterized in that the staples have a thickened head intended to be introduced into one of the cavities, and an elastic body whose elasticity makes it adopt a compressed first position in which t can pass ransversally the slot corresponding to the guide in which the head is not housed and which is housed, in an expanded position, in the cavity corresponding to the guide in which the head is not housed, in an expanded position, in the cavity corresponding to the guide
- the clip does not use transverse expansion after passing through the groove to fix the clip, but rather provides a shoulder structure that acts as a stop that prevents the removal of the clip, the force that is Opposite to the extraction is passive and of direction parallel to the extraction movement which is more efficient than the elastic force practically perpendicular to the extraction movement that was produced in the previously known coatings.
- one or each of the legs also makes contact with the wall opposite the said walls adjacent to the cavity, such that the clip, preferably its legs, are elastically compressed into the cavity, in a second compressed position other than said first compressed position.
- the resistance to be overcome is increased for an extraction of the staple. Extraction is also hindered by an eccentric force, that is, combining a pair of extraction.
- each of the legs is formed by a shoulder area that is continued in an appendix whose free end is directed towards the central axis of the clip.
- This feature is especially advantageous because it causes the clip to expand beyond its normal position within the cavity, further preventing its accidental exit.
- the free appendix is curved.
- the head of the clip is a flat area that has projections in its free zone to make contact with the wall opposite the groove of the cavity into which it is inserted.
- the clip will be made of synthetic material, more preferably thermoplastic material.
- Other materials may also be suitable for the present application, or other materials whose function can be optimized, such as graphene, for example.
- the present invention also comprises a clip for the type of coating of the present invention that is characterized in that it has a thickened head and an elastic body whose elasticity causes it to have a first compressed position characterized in that said body comprises at least two legs, each having leg, in turn, a preferably flat shoulder area essentially perpendicular to the legs.
- the shoulder area is continued in an appendix whose free end is directed towards the central axis of the clip.
- the free appendix is curved.
- the present invention also discloses a type of clip that allows better fixing of the plates of the coating object of the present invention, allowing the coating to be used as a roof and wall covering with larger plates.
- the clips preferably have a thickened head intended to be inserted into one of the cavities, and an elastic body whose elasticity allows it to pass transversely through the groove.
- the elasticity of the elastic body makes it adopt a first compressed position in which the corresponding slot can pass transversely to the guide in which the head is not housed and which is housed, in an expanded position in the cavity corresponding to the guide in the one that does not lodge the head.
- said staple body comprises at least two legs, each leg having, in turn, a preferably flat shoulder area intended to make contact with the wall of the cavity immediately adjacent to the groove.
- each of the legs also makes contact with the wall opposite the said walls adjacent to the cavity, such that the legs are compressed elastically inside the cavity, in a second compressed position other than said First compressed position.
- This increases the resistance to overcome for a staple extraction. Extraction is also hindered by an eccentric force, that is, combining a pair of extraction.
- each of the legs is formed by a shoulder area that is continued in an appendix whose free end is directed towards the central axis of the clip. This feature is especially advantageous because it causes the clip to expand beyond its normal position within the cavity, further preventing its accidental exit.
- the free appendix is curved.
- the head of the clip is a planar area that has spacing projections in its free zone to make contact with the wall opposite the groove of the cavity into which it is inserted.
- the clip will be made of synthetic material, more preferably thermoplastic material.
- Other materials may also be suitable for the present application, or other materials whose function can be optimized, such as graphene, for example.
- the head of the clip is a flat area that has projections in its free zone to make contact with the wall opposite the groove of the cavity into which it is inserted.
- the present invention also discloses a coating comprising a structure formed by a plurality of plates provided on its lower face with at least one guide formed by a groove giving access to a cavity of greater dimensions, in cross-section, than the opening corresponding to the groove and longitudinal profiles perpendicular to said grooves of the plates, said profiles in turn presenting a guide of the profile formed by a groove that gives access to a cavity with larger dimensions, in cross section, than the groove, being in the areas of intersection between the guides of the plates and the guides of the profiles some staples housed simultaneously in the cavities of both guides of the plate and the profile, and which is characterized because the plates have, in at least one of the edges, at least one separating projection that does not cover the entire edge and separates said plate from the adjacent plate.
- the separating projection that does not cover the entire edge allows the plates to be separated from each other without impeding the movement of the plate according to the axes of the guides, nor the passage of fluids (air, water) along the separation between plates.
- said projection or separating projections are located in an edge parallel to the plate guides.
- said projection or separating projections are located in a single edge of the plate.
- the plate has more than one separating projection in the edge or edges in which it has projections.
- the separating projection will have a prismatic shape. It may also consist of a prism, for example a cylinder, which is introduced into a recess formed in a plate edge.
- the edges of the plates having separating projections will have entrances and projections conjugated with the corresponding, or opposite, edge of the adjacent plate, such that the projection or separating projections are not visible from the outside.
- a preferred way to achieve this effect is achieved when the edge has, in the edge in which said projection or separating projections are located, a lower recess that runs the entire length of the edge, the separating projection being of a length such that no protrudes from the top of the edge that does not present the aforementioned entree.
- the present invention also refers to a coating comprising a structure formed by a plurality of plates and profiles, in which the profiles are arranged in a transverse direction with respect to the plates, in which there is a connection between each of said plates and one or more of said profiles, it being characteristic that said connection is such that the plates are slidable in said transverse direction along one or more of said profiles.
- the plates can slide in said transverse direction, either by hand or with a force of less than 500 N per profile connected to the plate, preferably less than 200 N per profile. It is clear that the ability of the plates to be moved while connected to the profiles results in an important advantage when accessing the space under the cover. One or more plates or one or more lines of plates can be removed in a convenient position and the remaining plates can be slid to the free space created to give access to the desired location under the plates.
- the coating of the second aspect preferably has the characteristics of the coating of claim 1 or of its preferred embodiments, although this is not necessarily the case.
- connection is formed by separate staples that each connect a plate and a profile.
- Said separate staples can be inserted into a groove in the bottom of said plate, where said groove runs in the longitudinal direction of said plate.
- said clips are made of one piece in the same material as the plates or are fixedly connected to the plate, for example, by screws, nails, glue or other connection means.
- said separate staples are inserted into a cavity of said profile.
- said separate staples allow an introduction into said cavity by a substantially downward movement of said staples towards said profile, whether or not they are attached to said plates.
- said cavity has a wall adjacent to an opening in said profile, said wall having a step, and in which said clips have hooks that cooperate with said wall when they are inserted into said cavity.
- said connection is such that the plates are slidable in the longitudinal direction of the plates.
- Figure 3 shows a variant of Figure 2 in which the plate has a edge with a different shape.
- Figure 4 shows another variant of Figure 2.
- Figure 5 shows a perspective view from a lower point of view in which the plate guides are observed.
- Figure 6 shows a perspective view of a clip according to the present invention.
- Figure 7 shows a cross-sectional view showing the placement and operation of a clip, located simultaneously in the guide of a plate and in the guide of a transversal profile to it.
- Figure 8 shows a cross-sectional view similar to that of Figure 7 in which another type of profile has been used.
- Figure 9 shows a partially sectioned perspective view, showing a way of joining consecutive profiles as shown in Figure 8.
- Figure 10 shows the profile joining piece of Figure 9.
- Figure 11 shows a cross section of the piece of Figure 10.
- Figure 12 shows a perspective view of a second embodiment of a coating according to the present invention, in which a plate has been partially sectioned in order to see the fixation.
- Figure 13 shows a schematic detail view of the second example in which a partially sectioned plate is seen on two profiles.
- Figure 14 shows a side elevation view of the covering of the example of Figure 12.
- Figure 15 corresponds to the front elevation view of the detail of Figure 13.
- Figure 16 shows a perspective view of the second example from a lower point of view in which the plate guides are observed.
- Figure 17 shows a perspective view in which a way of placing a plate of the coating of Figure 12 is schematically shown.
- Figure 1 shows a coating composed of a plurality of plates -1- resting on elongated profiles -2- to which they are joined by staples -3-.
- the clips are placed simultaneously on guides -11- located on the unseen side of the plates -1-, and inside guides -21- of the profiles -2-.
- plates -1- have edges in contact with each other.
- the shape of the songs can be variable.
- the songs can be flat.
- each plate has two guides -11-, each arranged on one side, running the plate longitudinally.
- the edges of the plates -1- could also present conjugated projections and entrances, forming a tongue and groove.
- each plate may have a single guide -11-.
- large plates could have a larger number of guides.
- the guides -11- are formed by a cavity -112- which is accessed through a slot -111- of dimensions smaller than those of the cavity.
- the cavity -112- of the plate -1- is rectangular, whereby the guides -11- have a general cross-section of T.
- the guides -21- of the profiles -2- run longitudinally through the profiles -2-, being perpendicular to the guides -11- of the plates -1-.
- the guides -21- are formed by a cavity -212- which is, in cross-section, of dimensions greater than the slot -211- through which it is accessed.
- the example shown in staple -3- object of the present invention is formed by a flat -31- square head, of which two projections protrude, in the form of ribs -311-, -311 '- whose function is to ensure contact with the wall of the cavity -112- of the guide -11- of the plate -1- opposite to the slot -111- of entrance to said cavity.
- the objective of making contact is to collaborate in the compression of the elastic elements of the clip according to an axis simultaneously perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the guides -11- of the plates -1- and of the guides -21- of the profiles -2-, which, in turn, are perpendicular to each other.
- ribs has the advantage of not improperly increasing the friction between the clip -3- and the plate -1-, which is desirable both for the installation operations and for the movements to be subsequently absorbed by the coating, once installed.
- the heads of the staples can be rectangular, one of its sides being smaller than the slot -111- of access to the cavity -112- of the guides of the plates which allows them to be introduced at any point of the guides -11- which, as we have already mentioned, cover the entire plate -1-.
- the clip can be rotated on itself to cause its fixation by dimensional interference with the guide -11-, taking advantage of the fact that the head -31- of the clip -3- has a rectangular shape, that is, the head -31- of the guide has one side of dimensions smaller than the corresponding width of the guide -11- and another side of equal or slightly larger dimensions, such that it is possible to rotate the clip in the guide -11- and that fits tightly.
- the clips can be introduced by a vertical movement in the guides -21- of the profiles.
- the parts of the staples When performing said movement the parts of the staples initially deform and then expand again in the inside, carrying out in its interior an expansion force that prevents the vertical movement of the plate due, for example, to footsteps, etc., but at the same time allows the movement of the plates along the grooves of the guides.
- the clips allow the removal of the plates by performing a sufficiently large extraction force in the vertical direction.
- Other ways of inserting the clips are also possible. From the head -31- of the clip -3- there are two legs -32-, -32'-, which in the case of the example shown are flat and parallel to each other, and which constitute the elastic part of the clip -3- .
- Each leg -32-, -32'- has a straight initial zone followed by a shoulder area -321- defined between two turns -323-, -322-, and finally an appendix -325- that ends at one end free.
- Appendix -325- of the example is curved and directs its free end towards the center of the clip.
- the ends of the two legs -32-, -32'- can be with their free ends facing each other, but left a small gap.
- a free end of one of the legs -32- of the aforementioned free end faces is located above or below the free end of the opposite leg -32 '-.
- the clip -3- is made of flexible material, preferably a thermoplastic, which allows the elastic deformation of the legs -32-, -32'-. Other materials are also possible.
- the legs -32-, -32'-, in the vicinity of the head -31- are located at a distance from each other such that they can cross the grooves of the guides into which it is inserted, preferably without deformation.
- the clip -3- for installation in the guide -21- of a profile, the clip -3- must be elastically deformed by exerting a force on the shoulder area -321- that brings the turns closer to each other - 323-, -322- of each of the legs -32-, -32'-. In this way, the legs can pass through the slot -211-. Once in the cavity -212-, the legs -32-, -32'- can expand freely in the direction perpendicular to the one of introduction and the shoulder -321- recovers its original position.
- the free ends of the legs come into contact with the wall of the cavity -212- opposite to the slot -211-, deforming and transmitting effort in both directions of the direction marked with the double date -F- that makes it keep the shoulders -321- in contact with the wall -215- immediately adjacent to the slot -211-.
- the clip -3- has a second deformed state different from the deformed state induced during the introduction.
- the clip -3- likewise, is ensured by the dimensional interference between the shoulders and the walls of the guide according to a plane perpendicular to the direction of insertion of the clip.
- the clip has a shape that exerts a force perpendicular to the contact surface of the shoulders with the walls of the cavity by deformation in the cavity that further ensures the position of the clip.
- the movements of the plates -1- in the directions defined by the guides of the profiles -3- and the guides of the plates -2- are allowed.
- Figure 8 corresponds to Figure 7 in which a different -2- profile has been used.
- Figure 8 shows the use of a different -2- profile. It is noted that, in this case, the cavity -212- has a recess -216- in the wall of the cavity opposite the slot -211-. This cavity can accommodate the appendages -325- of the legs of the staple -3-. This favors the correct functioning of the set.
- the profile may vary with respect to what is shown in the figures, and may be a profile that can be used for different types of staples. It is also observed in the figure how in this case it is only one of the legs that makes contact with the wall opposite to said walls adjacent to the groove. As in the case of Figure 7, this causes the clip to be compressed in a second compressed position.
- Figures 9 to 11 show a possible embodiment of joining between consecutive profiles -2-, -2'- by pieces -1000- that have two cavities -1002-, -1003- accessible from each end and separated by a partition -1005 -.
- pieces -1000- are introduced in the intermediate gap -23-.
- the piece -1000- also has in its middle area, a perimeter flange -1001- that stops with the profiles -2-, -2'-, favoring the correct placement of the set.
- Each plate -1- has two guides -11-, each arranged on one side running the plate longitudinally.
- the edges of the plates -1- that are parallel to the guides -11- have protrusions -41-, -44- and incoming -43-, -42- combined with the edge of the adjacent plate they face.
- These incoming and outgoing run longitudinally throughout the entire song.
- the set of incoming and outgoing in the case shown is the one corresponding to a tongue and groove, although in this case the tongue and groove does not form, since there is a distance between plates. Other configurations of incoming and outgoing different from that of the tongue and groove are possible.
- the plate has at least two guides 11 parallel and arranged symmetrically.
- the separating projections -49- are located. These separating projections are punctual and do not cover the entire song.
- the separating projection is a cylindrical part that is inserted into a housing for this purpose located in the lower recess -43-.
- the separating projection -49- has an equal length or, preferably, slightly less than the depth of the recess -43-. In this way, the separating projection -49- does not protrude from the perimeter of the plate, and in particular, does not protrude with respect to the upper projection -41- corresponding to the part of the edge that does not have the recess -43-. This means that the separating projection cannot be seen from the outside of the coating.
- the corresponding edge of the adjacent plate has a conjugate recess -42- and a conjugate projection -44- that conjugate with the projection -41- and the recess -43- of the adjacent plate.
- the incoming and outgoing -41-, -43- of one plate corresponds to the negative of the incoming and outgoing -44-, -42- of the other plate.
- the edges of the plates are not touched, and the passage of air or water is allowed. If the separating projections -49- crossed the entire edge this effect would not be possible.
- a protrusion could be made separator somewhat shorter at the expense of the protrusion -44- (and / or the incoming -42-) somewhat more marked.
- guides -11- and -21- have a structure similar to guides -11- and -21- of the example shown in Figures 1 to 7.
- the clip -3- shown is also similar to that of the examples in figures 1 to 11, so it will not be explained in depth.
- the staples -3- can be placed in the guides of the plates and then installed the plate by pressing the staples into the guides of the profiles, deforming the legs of the staples, by means of the vertical movement shown in Figure 17.
- the present invention is applicable to both horizontal surfaces (ceilings, floors) and vertical surfaces (walls).
- the present invention is valid for plates of all types of material.
- the staple heads are located in the guides of the plates, which is preferred in certain applications, an inverse embodiment with the heads of the staples introduced in the guides of the profiles.
- the plates must have an increased thickness to have space for the reception of the legs of the staples.
- the fitting of the clips in the grooves in the strip and the slat allows to track the movement of the cladding movement in two horizontal directions perpendicular to each other, which allows to absorb all the stresses released by the composite, wood or other materials in both directions of its dimension.
- the invention makes possible the disassembly and subsequent assembly of any plank at any point of the installation using the same pre-existing elements, slats and clips.
- the present invention is compatible with the hidden fixing system by not requiring gaps between slats for disassembly.
- the present invention allows the quick and easy insertion of the clip in the slat and clipping in the strip (saving time by not requiring screws).
- the elements of the present invention not being fixed in an absolutely immovable manner (the elements are only fitted together) absorb the movements of natural expansion of the composite, wood or any other material in both directions of its dimension.
- the rest of the slats or plates can slide over the groove of the profiles without the need to be disassembled, being able to replace the slats or slats removed in the remaining recess in any other part of the surface removed.
- This system allows access to installations hidden under the floor, wall or roof that covers making it easy to repair possible breakdowns. Any slat or plate containing lighting elements or any other mechanism can be relocated to any position on the ceiling, wall or floor, exchanging it for another slat or ceiling where there are no couplings allowing great versatility in the decoration of the place.
- the elements that make up the installation can be disassembled, restored in the workshop by reinstalling them back to their sites, thus avoiding the cumbersome task of an "on-site" restoration while recovering the initial quality due to the ease of restoration in workshop or factory and avoids the environmental aggression that involves the restoration at home, with the lack of means of purification and filtration of waste.
