Definitions
- the invention relates to a machine tool comprising a housing, a motor, in particular an electric motor, a drive shaft which is operable by the motor, a belt drive for transmitting the driving force of the motor to a tool and a first fan for generating a first air gap in the housing , which contains for cooling at least the engine contains.
- the first fan and the belt drive can be operated via the drive shaft.
- a belt teethed belt
- the drive shaft which in turn is driven by the motor.
- elevated temperatures may occur. Due to these elevated temperatures, damage to the belt drive can occur, which can also result in complete failure of the belt drive.
- any cooling concept for the corresponding cooling of the belt drive is provided.
- Previous cooling concepts for belt-driven machine tools usually provide active cooling with an air gap. This air gap is generated by means of a fan (fan). The fan is often positioned in the machine tool so that in addition to the belt drive and the engine and the electronics are cooled accordingly.
- the air flow (air gap) generated by the fan for cooling the engine, the electronics and the belt drive is often first directed to the engine in order to achieve maximum cooling of the engine with the still relatively cool air flow.
- the air flow is then directed to the electronics to cool them. In this case, the air flow is additionally heated.
- the airflow arrives at the belt drive to cool it.
- the fact that the airflow generated by the fan is first directed to the motor and the electronics to cool it, and then passed to the belt drive, the temperature of the air flow has already increased significantly by the cooling of the engine and the electronics, so that optimal cooling of the belt drive is no longer possible.
- By not optimally cooled belt drive can the temperature of the belt drive and in particular at the contact point between the pulley and belt increase so much that threatens damage and / or a complete failure of the belt drive and the entire machine tool.
- Object of the present invention is to provide a machine tool with improved cooling of the belt drive available, so as to reduce the wear and failure susceptibility of the belt drive or the machine tool.
- a machine tool which comprises a housing; a motor, in particular an electric motor; a drive shaft operable by the engine; a belt drive for transmitting the driving force of the motor to a tool and a first fan for generating a first air gap in the housing, which serves to cool at least the motor, wherein the first fan and the belt drive are operable via the drive shaft.
- the machine tool includes a second fan for generating a second air gap in the housing, which serves for cooling at least the belt drive.
- a second fan for generating a second air gap in the housing, which serves for cooling at least the belt drive.
- the second fan is operable via the drive shaft.
- the second fan is operable via the drive shaft.
- the first air gap In order to prevent dirt particles from being sucked into the interior of the housing of the machine tool together with the air that is sucked in from the environment for cooling by the fans, it is advantageous for the first air gap to have an intake opening on an outer side of the housing and the second air gap contains an intake opening on an outer side of the housing and wherein the first and second intake openings are positioned on a side remote from the tool side of the housing.
- On the side facing away from the tool side of the housing are less dirt particles in the ambient air, there on this side of the case less Dirt particles detached by the operation of the tool of the material to be machined and get into the ambient air.
- the second fan is positioned to the belt drive, that the belt drive to be cooled is at least partially in an overpressure region generated by the second fan.
- the overpressure does not allow the contaminated ambient air surrounding the tool to get to the belt drive.
- the first air gap which at least serves to cool the engine, does not influence or even heat the second air gap
- the first air gap and the second air gap are at least partially positioned separately from one another in the housing.
- the second fan is at least partially made of metal. In this way, a better thermal connection of the fan to the drive shaft and to the belt drive can be ensured, whereby a faster heat dissipation from the belt drive to the second air gap is possible.
- Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a part of the machine tool according to the invention.
- FIG. 2 is a bottom view of the housing of the machine tool.
- FIG 3 is an interior view along the section line A-A in Figure 2 of the belt-driven machine tool.
- FIG. 4 shows an inside view along the section line A-A in FIG. 2 of the machine tool without belt drive
- Fig. 6 is a bottom view of the machine tool without belt drive with partially open housing.
- Fig. 1 shows a machine tool 1 according to a first embodiment.
- the machine tool 1 is a core drilling machine with a belt drive 50.
- the machine tool 1 embodied as a core drilling machine contains a housing 10, an electric motor 20, a drive shaft 22, a first fan 30, a second fan 40 and a belt drive 50.
- the housing 10 includes a top 11, a bottom 12, a right side 13, a left side (not shown), a front end 14, and a rear end 15.
- FIG. 1 shows the bottom 12, the front end 14, and FIGS right side 13 of the housing 10.
- a tool (not shown) may be positioned in the form of a drill bit.
- a handle 16 for holding the core drilling machine 1 by a user (not shown).
- the right side 13 shown in FIG. 1 is substantially identical to the left side (not shown).
- the electric motor 20 is positioned in the housing 10 and transmits a torque generated in the electric motor 20 to the drive shaft 22 which is rotatably connected to the electric motor 20.
- Both the first fan 30 and the second fan 40 are designed in the form of an axial fan, wherein the first fan 30 and the second fan 40 have different sizes and in particular different diameters.
- the first fan 30 includes a first side 31 and a second side 32.
- the second fan 40 includes a first side 41 and a second side 42.
- the first fan 30 is larger than the second fan 40.
- the first Fan 30 and the second fan 40 are rotatably mounted on the drive shaft 22 so that they can be put by the drive shaft 22 in rotation. As the fans 30, 40 rotate, they produce an air vacuum on the corresponding first side 31, 41 and an overpressure of air on the corresponding second side 32, 42. Due to the generated negative air pressure, air can be sucked through the fans 30, 40. Accordingly, air can be forced away from the fans 30, 40 due to the generated excess air pressure. As will be described in more detail below, air is moved through the air gaps by the fans 30, 40.
- the belt drive 50 includes a first pulley 51, a second pulley 52, a third pulley (not shown), a fourth pulley (not shown), a second pulley 52, a second pulley 52, a second pulley 52 (not shown) First belt 53 and a second belt 54.
- the first pulley 51 serves to transmit the torque from the drive shaft 22 to the first belt 53.
- the second pulley 52 transmits the torque from the drive shaft 22 to the second belt 54.
- the first belt 53 transmits the torque to the third pulley and the second belt 54 transmits the torque to the fourth pulley.
- the third and fourth pulleys further transmit the torque to a tool (not shown), such as a drill bit, for machining a material.
- the first fan 30, the first pulley 51, the second pulley 52, and the second fan 40 are sequentially positioned on the drive shaft 22 so as to transmit the torque from the drive shaft 22 thereto.
- the first fan 30 and the second fan 40 are synchronously rotated by the drive shaft 22 in rotation.
- a bearing plate 60 is positioned between the first fan 30 and the second fan 40.
- the bearing plate 60 is located in particular between the first fan 30 and the first pulley 51.
- the bearing plate 60 serves as a partition to the space in front of and behind the bearing plate 60 airtight to separate from each other.
- the housing 10 contains a first air gap 70 or air duct and a second air gap 80 or air duct (see FIG. 4).
- the first air gap 70 includes a first opening 71, a second opening 72 and an elongated channel 73.
- the first opening 71 and the second opening 72 are positioned on the outer surface of the housing 10 (see Figures 1 and 2). According to the first embodiment, the first opening 71 and the second opening 72 are not separated from each other and share the same inlet in the housing 10 (see Figures 1 and 4). According to a second embodiment (not shown), however, it may also be provided that the first opening 71 and the second opening 72 are separated from one another and do not share the same inlet in the housing 10. In this case, the first opening 71 and the second opening 72 each have their own inlet into the housing 10.
- the first fan 30 When the first fan 30 is rotated by the drive shaft 22, air is drawn in from the environment and passes through the first port 71, which serves as an inlet, into the first air gap 70.
- the first port 71 may therefore be referred to as a suction port.
- the elongated channel 73 By the elongated channel 73, the air from the fan 70 is sucked finally up to the second opening 72.
- the second opening 72 serves as an outlet through which the air can escape from the housing 10 again.
- the first air gap 70 is positioned in the housing 10 such that the elongated channel 73 extends past the electric motor 20. As a result, the air in the first air gap 70 is guided past the electric motor 20.
- the air on the Electric motor 20 is passed, is transmitted by thermal convection heat from the electric motor 20 to the air and the electric motor 20 is cooled.
- the second air gap 80 also includes a first opening 81, a second opening 82, and an elongated channel 83.
- the first opening 81 and the second opening 82 are also positioned on the outer surface of the housing 10.
- the second opening 82 is located on the side facing away from the tool (not shown) of the housing 10.
- the first port 81 may therefore be referred to as a suction port.
- a negative pressure which sucks the air.
- the flow direction of the air is shown in Fig. 4 by the small arrows.
- the second fan 80 is positioned near the second opening 82 so that the air is forced out of the housing 10 through the second opening 82 by means of the second fan 80. For this purpose, there is an overpressure in the flow direction of the air after the second fan 80, which pushes the air away.
- the second fan 80 is positioned to the belt drive 50 and in particular to the first and second pulley 51, 52, that the air is blown onto the belt drive 50 and to the first and second pulley 51, 52. In this way, on the one hand the belt drive 50 is cooled and on the other hand the overpressure is generated, which causes only air to be expelled from the second opening 82 and consequently no air can pass through the second opening 82 into the housing 10 as well as to the belt drive 50. The effect of only expelling air from the second port 82 and no air entering the housing 10 through the second port 82 causes no contaminant-contaminated ambient air (through the second port) into the housing 10 and to the belt drive 50 forced out.
