- the present invention is related to printing processes on rigid or semi-rigid surfaces, by means of ink spray, proposing a vacuum application system to hold the pieces to be printed, on the tables of the printing machines, so that said vacuum does not influence on the inks that are projected for printing, allowing the automatic adaptation to different sizes of the pieces to be printed.
- the contact technique by means of printing rollers is known, as well as the technique without contact by means of ink projection heads, the latter being of greater perfection and quality, in addition to allowing greater possibilities of application, since that the colors of the prints are obtained by combining inks that are projected individually.
- the pieces to be printed can be of a width smaller than the surface of the support table, whereby in the lateral areas not covered by the application part there is an absorption effect, by vacuum, which can cause the deflection of the inks that are projected on the piece to be printed, resulting in imperfections of the printing on the piece and the loss of a part of the inks that are projected.
- a vacuum application system is proposed on the tables of printing machines, with an arrangement that automatically cancels the performance of the vacuum in the side areas not covered by the parts to be printed, avoiding the damaging influence of the vacuum for printing, as well as wasted ink losses, in addition to accelerating and simplifying the transition of printing on pieces of different widths.
- a vacuum system comprising a drawer connected through suction nozzles with a suction system, with side panels inside the drawer of vertical closure arranged in a sliding assembly of transverse displacement in the drawer, with a drive system of said panels comprising a motor associated with a transmission shaft that acts on a series of spindles that move in approximation and separation to said panels Vertical closing sides of the drawer.
- a detection system is provided that determines the passage of the initial edge and the final edge of the length of the parts, as well as the width of them.

- the application area of vacuum for the subjection of the pieces to be printed is therefore automatically adjusted according to the control of the dimensions of the pieces when they pass through the detection system at the entrance to the printing machine, with which avoids manual intervention each time the size of the pieces to be printed varies, thus reducing the operating time of the printing processes, since no waiting times are necessary to adjust the application area of vacuum in the support table of the parts to be printed, which results in a reduction in costs, in addition to providing a much more reliable adjustment accuracy than that of manual intervention.

- the vacuum system comprises a drawer (8) that connects from the middle area of its transverse width, by means of nozzles (9), with a suction system, said drawer (8) having its perforated upper face, which is left under the perforated surface of the printing table (2), on which the pieces (1) are arranged for printing, so that the vacuum that the suction system produces in said drawer (8), causes an aspiration to through the upper face of the same and the support surface of the pieces (1), establishing their support on said support surface, to keep them fixed in the printing process.
- side panels (10) Inside the drawer (8) are arranged side panels (10) that vertically close that interior of the drawer (8) tightly, said side panels (10) being incorporated in a sliding assembly in the transverse direction of the drawer (8), through a system of action, so that they can approach and separate from each other.
- the actuation system of the mobile side panels (10) that vertically close the drawer (8) comprises a motor (1 1), which drives a drive shaft (12) that is arranged on one side along the drawer (8), that transmission shaft (12) being related by means of couplings (13) with transverse spindles (14) that are associated with the side panels (10) inside the drawer (8), in relation to the which said spindles (14) establish reverse coupling ratios, so that turning in one direction causes a displacement of approximation of these side panels (10) with each other and with the rotation in the opposite direction a separation displacement thereof.
- the spindles (14) are related to the side panels (10) through threaded couplings (15) of reverse threads.
- a detection system (16) which when passing the pieces (1) determines the length and width of the same and their position, generating coordinates that allow to establish with precision the control of the projection of inks for the impressions to realize, as well as an automatic control of the positioning of the lateral partitions (10) inside the drawer (8 ) to adjust the vacuum system in relation to the width of the pieces (1) that are arranged on the printing table (2) to be printed.
- the longitudinal extension of the drawer (8) is divided into three successive independent chambers, each connected by one or more nozzles (9) with the suction system, to determine, by means of a regulation control of said suction system, different vacuum pressures in the successive chambers, to hold the pieces (1) in the entrance area to the positioning on the printing table (2), with a force greater than in the printing area and with less force in the area of withdrawal of the printed pieces (1).
