Abstract
本発明は、既存の原反や接着剤の塗布機構に変更を加えることなく、接着テープの大幅な長尺化を達成することができる技術を提供することを目的とする。 本発明は、ベースフィルム20上に接着剤層21と剥離カバーフィルム22が順次設けられた複数の接着テープ2が、連結基材30上に粘着剤層31と剥離フィルム32が順次設けられた連結テープ3を介して連結された接着テープ構造体1である。接着テープ2のベースフィルム20の端部と、連結テープ3の連結基材30の端部とが基材側接着部材41によって接着されるとともに、接着テープ2の剥離カバーフィルム22の端部と、連結テープ3の剥離フィルム32の端部とが剥離側接着部材42によって接着され、剥離カバーフィルム22と剥離フィルム32が一体的に剥離されるように構成されている。
Description
本発明は、太陽電池のタブ線接合用等の接着テープを長尺化する技術に関する。
従来より、種々の電子部品等を接着するための長尺の接着テープが知られている。
このような接着テープは、幅狭で長尺の剥離シート上に形成され、リールにロール状に巻取った形態で出荷されている。
そして、製造現場では、リールから接着テープを引き出して使用し、接着テープを使い切ると、一旦製造ラインを停止してリールごと接着テープを交換している。

しかし、接着テープの長さが短いと、リール交換のたびに製造ラインを停止する必要があり、生産効率を低下させてしまう。
そこで、近年、1つのリールに巻付可能な接着テープの長さをできるだけ長くする所謂「長尺化」が望まれている。
しかし、接着テープを長尺化しようとすると、接着剤を塗布する原反の長さを長くしたり、塗布機構の巻出・巻取部を大型化する等の対応をとる必要があり、また、接着テープの塗布厚を均一に制御しなければならないなど、大幅な長尺化には限界があった。
そこで、近年、1つのリールに巻付可能な接着テープの長さをできるだけ長くする所謂「長尺化」が望まれている。
しかし、接着テープを長尺化しようとすると、接着剤を塗布する原反の長さを長くしたり、塗布機構の巻出・巻取部を大型化する等の対応をとる必要があり、また、接着テープの塗布厚を均一に制御しなければならないなど、大幅な長尺化には限界があった。
なお、本発明に関連する先行技術文献としては、例えば以下に示すようなものがある。
本発明は、このような従来の技術の課題を考慮してなされたもので、その目的とするところは、既存の原反や接着剤の塗布機構に変更を加えることなく、接着テープの大幅な長尺化を達成することができる技術を提供することにある。
上記目的を達成するためになされた本発明は、ベースフィルム上に接着剤層と剥離カバーフィルムが順次設けられた複数の接着テープが、連結基材上に粘着剤層と剥離フィルムが順次設けられた連結テープを介して連結された接着テープ構造体であって、前記接着テープのベースフィルムの端部と、前記連結テープの連結基材の端部とが基材側接着部材によって接着されるとともに、前記接着テープの剥離カバーフィルムの端部と、前記連結テープの剥離フィルムの端部とが剥離側接着部材によって接着され、前記剥離カバーフィルムと前記剥離フィルムが一体的に剥離されるように構成されている接着テープ構造体である。
本発明では、前記連結テープの連結基材が、非透光性の材料からなる場合にも効果的である。
本発明では、前記連結テープの粘着剤層が、前記接着テープの接着剤層の材料と異なる材料からなる場合にも効果的である。
本発明では、前記連結テープの粘着剤層が、可視光線の透過率が70%以上である場合にも効果的である。

本発明では、当該接着テープ構造体をガイドローラを経由して搬送する場合において、当該ガイドローラに対する当該連結テープの粘着剤層のタック力が200gf/5mmφ以下である場合にも効果的である。
一方、本発明は、上述したいずれかの接着テープ構造体が、当該接着テープ構造体のテープ幅より幅広のフランジ間隔を有するリール部材にトラバース巻きで巻き付けられている接着テープ収容体である。
本発明では、前記連結テープの連結基材が、非透光性の材料からなる場合にも効果的である。

本発明の接着テープ構造体は、接着テープのベースフィルムの端部と、連結テープの連結基材の端部とが基材側接着部材によって接着されるとともに、接着テープの剥離カバーフィルムの端部と、連結テープの剥離フィルムの端部とが剥離側接着部材によって接着され、剥離カバーフィルムと剥離フィルムが一体的に剥離されるように構成されていることから、接着用テープとしての基本的な構成及び機能は従来のものと同一であり、既存の貼付装置を用いて被着体に対して連続的に接着剤を貼付することができる。
その結果、本発明によれば、既存の原反や接着剤の塗布機構に変更を加えることなく、接着テープの大幅な長尺化を達成することができる。
本発明において、連結テープの連結基材が非透光性の材料からなる場合には、光センサによって連結基材を検出することができ、これにより連結テープの部分をスキップしつつ被着体に対して連続的に接着剤を貼付することができる。

本発明において、連結テープの粘着剤層が可視光線の透過率が70%以上である場合には、光センサが連結テープの粘着剤層側に位置する場合であっても、粘着剤層を介して光センサによって連結基材を検出することができる。
本発明において、連結テープの粘着剤層と剥離フィルムの剥離力が、接着テープの接着剤層と剥離カバーフィルムの剥離力の2.0倍以下である場合には、接着テープの剥離カバーフィルムの剥離速度と同等の速度で、粘着剤層から剥離フィルムをスムーズに剥離することができる。
本発明において、接着テープ構造体をガイドローラを経由して搬送する場合において、ガイドローラに対する連結テープの粘着剤層のタック力が200gf/5mmφ以下である場合には、連結基材の粘着剤層がガイドローラに接触した際にガイドローラに粘着剤が転着せず、接着テープ構造体をスムーズに走行させることができる。
一方、上述した接着テープ構造体が、当該接着テープ構造体のテープ幅より幅広のフランジ間隔を有するリールにトラバース巻きで巻き付けられている本発明の接着テープ収容体によれば、非常に長尺の接着テープ構造体を巻き付けて円滑に引き出すことができるので、接着テープの貼付工程において、リールを頻繁に交換する必要がなく、生産効率を大幅に向上させることができる。
以下、本発明の好ましい実施の形態を図面を参照して詳細に説明する。

本実施の形態の接着テープ構造体1は、複数の接着テープ2が、それぞれ連結テープ3を介して連結された一連の長尺のものである。
ここで、接着テープ2は、それぞれ同一の構成を有しており、ベースフィルム20上に接着剤層21と剥離カバーフィルム22が順次全面に設けられた、いわゆる3層構造のものである。

接着テープ2のベースフィルム20の端部の上面(接着剤層21と反対側の面)と、連結テープ3の連結基材30の端部の上面(粘着剤層31と反対側の面)とは、それぞれ基材側接着部材41によって接着連結されている。

接着テープ2のベースフィルム20は、例えばPETからなるものを用いることができる。
このベースフィルム20の厚さは、特に限定されることはないが、材料強度の確保と巻径を大きくしない観点からは、10~100μmのものを好適に用いることができる。

接着テープ2の接着剤層21は、通常の接着用テープの接着剤に用いる樹脂、特に熱硬化性樹脂(例えば、エポキシ系樹脂、フェノキシ系樹脂、ウレタン系樹脂等)を用いることができる。
この接着剤層21の厚さは、特に限定されることはないが、各種電子部品の高さにばらつきのある端子を確実に接続する観点からは、10~100μmに設定することがより好ましい。

接着テープ2の剥離カバーフィルム22は、接着剤層21を保護するもので、使用時には剥離されるものである。

一方、連結テープ3の連結基材30としては、光センサによって検出可能な非透光性の材料からなるものを用いることができる。

連結基材30の厚さは、特に限定されることはないが、接着テープ2のベースフィルム20と同等の厚さを確保することにより、巻取時に段差が生ずることを防止する観点からは、10~100μmのものを好適に用いることができる。

連結テープ3の粘着剤層31は、連結テープ3の剥離フィルム32を円滑に剥離するためのものである。
すなわち、後述するように、連結テープ3の剥離フィルム32は、接着テープ2の剥離カバーフィルム22と供に剥離されるものであるが、連結テープ3の剥離フィルム32と連結基材30との間に粘着性を有する物質が存在しないと、剥離フィルム32を剥がす際にその速度が一時的に速くなるため、製造ラインの搬送速度にずれが生ずるおそれがある。
すなわち、後述するように、連結テープ3の剥離フィルム32は、接着テープ2の剥離カバーフィルム22と供に剥離されるものであるが、連結テープ3の剥離フィルム32と連結基材30との間に粘着性を有する物質が存在しないと、剥離フィルム32を剥がす際にその速度が一時的に速くなるため、製造ラインの搬送速度にずれが生ずるおそれがある。
また、連結テープ3の剥離フィルム32と連結基材30との間に粘着性を有する物質が存在しないと、接着テープ構造体1を製造する際のスリット(切断)時に蛇行が生じ、テープにしわが生じたり、テープが切れるおそれがある。
本発明の粘着剤層31は、このような不都合を防止するためのものである。

この目的を考慮すると、連結テープ3の粘着剤層31と剥離フィルム32の剥離力が、接着テープ2の接着剤層21と剥離カバーフィルム22の剥離力の0.2倍以上2.0倍以下となるように構成することがより好ましい。
連結テープ3の粘着剤層31と剥離フィルム32の剥離力が、接着テープ2の接着剤層21と剥離カバーフィルム22の剥離力の0.2倍より小さいと、剥離フィルム32を剥がす際の速度上昇による製造ラインの搬送速度のずれや、スリット時の蛇行によるテープのしわの発生やテープの切れが生ずるおそれがある。
他方、連結テープ3の粘着剤層31と剥離フィルム32の剥離力が、接着テープ2の接着剤層21と剥離カバーフィルム22の剥離力の2.0倍より大きいと、連結テープ3の粘着剤層31から剥離フィルム32が円滑に剥がれないおそれがある。
以上のような条件を満たす限り、連結テープ3の粘着剤層31は、接着テープ2の接着剤層21と組成が同一又は異なる樹脂のいずれも用いることができる。なお、接着テープ2の接着剤層21と組成が異なる樹脂としては、例えばシリコーン系樹脂があげられる。
また、上述した条件を満たすための粘着剤層31の厚さは、10~100μmに設定するとよい。

その一方、連結テープ3の粘着剤層31は、本来的に被着体に対して転写されず、スキップされる部分であることから、粘着剤層31の部分だけ非硬化系の樹脂又は硬化済の樹脂を用いることにより、保存安定性を向上させることができる。
また、接着テープ2の接着剤層21が例えば高価なフィラー等を使用している場合に、比較的安価な材料で粘着剤層31を形成することにより、製造コストを抑えることができる。

本発明の場合、粘着剤層31を、光透過性の材料から構成することもできる。
すなわち、上述したように、連結テープ3の連結基材30を非透光性の材料から構成することにより、光センサによって連結テープ3の連結基材30を検出することができるが、光センサが粘着剤層31の側に位置する場合には、粘着剤層31によって光が遮られて連結基材30を検出することができない場合がある。
そこで、このような場合には、連結テープ3の粘着剤層31を光透過性の材料から構成することによって、粘着剤層31を介して光センサによって連結基材30を検出することができる。
すなわち、上述したように、連結テープ3の連結基材30を非透光性の材料から構成することにより、光センサによって連結テープ3の連結基材30を検出することができるが、光センサが粘着剤層31の側に位置する場合には、粘着剤層31によって光が遮られて連結基材30を検出することができない場合がある。
そこで、このような場合には、連結テープ3の粘着剤層31を光透過性の材料から構成することによって、粘着剤層31を介して光センサによって連結基材30を検出することができる。
本発明の場合、特に限定されることはないが、粘着剤層31を介して光センサによって連結基材30を確実に検出する観点からは、粘着剤層31について、可視光線の透過率(光透過率)が70%以上となるように構成することがより好ましい。
連結テープ3の剥離フィルム32は、粘着剤層31を保護するもので、使用時には剥離されるものである。

本発明の場合、剥離フィルム32の厚さは特に限定されることはないが、接着テープ2の剥離カバーフィルム22と同等の厚さを確保することにより、巻取時に段差が生ずることを防止する観点からは、10~100μmに設定することがより好ましい。
そして、上述した連結テープ3の長さは、特に限定されることはないが、光センサによるセンシングが可能であり、かつ、製造ラインの搬送速度をなるべく下げない観点からは、5~100cmに設定することがより好ましい。
基材側接着部材41は、ベース43上に設けられた接着剤45によって接着テープ2のベースフィルム20の端部と連結テープ3の連結基材30の端部を強固に接着するものである。
この接着剤45の材料としては、例えばアクリル系の樹脂からなるものを用いることができる。

なお、接着テープ2のベースフィルム20の上面並びに連結テープ3の連結基材30の上面に剥離処理が施されている場合には、接着剤45の材料として、シリコーン樹脂系のものを用いることもできる。
そして、上述した基材側接着部材41の長さは、特に限定されることはないが、接着テープ2と連結テープ3を確実に接続する接着力を有し、かつ、貼り合わせ時の作業性をできる限り容易にする観点からは、1~10cmに設定することがより好ましい。
一方、剥離側接着部材42は、ベース44上に設けられた接着剤46によって接着テープ2の剥離カバーフィルム22の端部と連結テープ3の剥離フィルム32の端部を強固に接着するものである。
この接着剤46の材料としては、例えばアクリル系の樹脂からなるものを用いることができる。

なお、接着テープ2の剥離カバーフィルム22の上面並びに連結テープ3の剥離フィルム32の上面に剥離処理が施されている場合には、接着剤46の材料として、シリコーン樹脂系のものを用いることもできる。
そして、上述した剥離側接着部材42の長さは、特に限定されることはないが、接着テープ2と連結テープ3を確実に接続する接着力を有し、かつ、貼り合わせ時の作業性をできる限り容易にする観点からは、1~10cmに設定することがより好ましい。
なお、本発明の場合、例えば図1(c)に示すように、接着テープ2の端部と連結テープ3の端部は、若干の隙間が設けられている。
この理由は、接着テープ2の剥離カバーフィルム22と連結テープ3の剥離フィルム32を円滑に一体的に剥離すること、並びに、接着テープ構造体1を製造する際のマージンを考慮したものである。

かかる観点を考慮すると、接着テープ2の端部と連結テープ3の端部の隙間は、500~1000μmに設定することがより好ましい。
そして、本発明の接着テープ構造体1は、2個以上の上述した接着テープ2を、上述した連結テープ3によってそれぞれ連結して得られるものである。

図2は、本実施の形態の接着テープ構造体を用いて接着テープの接着剤層を被着体に熱圧着する工程を説明するための図、図3(a)(b)は、同接着テープ構造体から接着テープの剥離カバーフィルムと連結テープの剥離フィルムを剥離する状態を示す説明図、図4(a)(b)は、光センサによって連結テープの連結基材を検出する状態を示す説明図、図5は、接着テープ構造体上に残った粘着剤層とガイドローラとの関係を示す説明図である。
図2に示すように、本実施の形態では、リール部材10に巻き取られた接着テープ構造体1のロール1Aから接着テープ構造体1を引き出し、引出ローラ11を介して方向転換し、剥離ローラ12により、上述した接着テープ2の剥離カバーフィルム22と連結テープ3の剥離フィルム32を剥離する。
ここでは、剥離ローラ12の動作によって、図3(a)に示すように、接着テープ2の剥離カバーフィルム22が接着剤層21から引き剥がされるが、剥離カバーフィルム22は剥離側接着部材42によって連結テープ3の剥離フィルム32と接着されているため、図3(b)に示すように、接着テープ2の剥離カバーフィルム22と連結テープ3の剥離フィルム32とが、一体的に引き剥がされることになる。
その後、図2に示すローラ13~15によって接着テープ構造体1を搬送し、熱圧着ヘッド16と被着体17との間に接着テープ構造体1の熱圧着すべき部分を配置し、その位置で熱圧着ヘッド16を動作させて接着テープ2の接着剤層21を被着体17に転写する。
この際、光センサ5によって連結テープ3の非透光性の連結基材30の有無を検出し、連結基材30を検出した場合には、連結テープ3が熱圧着ヘッド16と被着体17との間に位置しないように、すなわち、連結テープ3の粘着剤層31が被着体17に転写されないように、接着テープ構造体1の搬送を制御する。
本発明では、上述したように、連結テープ3の粘着剤層31を光透過性の材料から構成することにより、光センサ5が連結テープ3の連結基材30側に位置する場合(図4(a)参照)のみならず、光センサ5が連結テープ3の粘着剤層31側に位置する場合であっても、粘着剤層31を介して光センサ5によって連結基材30を検出することができる(図4(b)参照)。
そして、このような熱圧着工程の終了後、図2に示すガイドローラ18によって接着テープ構造体1を方向転換して搬送し、巻取装置19によって接着テープ構造体1を巻き取る。
ところで、本実施の形態では、連結テープ3の粘着剤層31が被着体17に転写されないため、巻取装置19によって接着テープ構造体1を巻き取る際に、接着テープ構造体1上に残った粘着剤層31がガイドローラ18に接着する際に転着するおそれがある(図5参照)。
本発明において、このような不都合を防止するためには、連結テープ3の粘着剤層31のガイドローラ18に対するタック力が200gf/5mmφ以下となるように調整するとよい。
この場合、ガイドローラ18としてシリコーン樹脂製のものを用いることや、ガイドローラ18の表面をシリコーン樹脂やポリ4フッ化エチレン樹脂等の剥離性の樹脂で加工したものを用いることもできる。

図6(a)は、本発明に係るフィルム収容体の実施の形態の構成を示す正面図、図6(b)(c)は、リール部材の巻芯軸部に巻き付けられた接着フィルムの間隔を示す説明図である。
本実施の形態のフィルム収容体50は、接着テープ構造体1のテープ幅より幅広間隔のフランジ51、52を有するリール部材53の巻芯軸部54に、接着テープ構造体1がトラバース巻きで巻き付けられているものである。
ここで、トラバース巻きとは、リール部材53の巻芯軸部54上に、長尺の接着テープ構造体1を所定のピッチ(間隔)で螺旋状に複数層に巻き付けることをいう。

ここでは、リール部材53の巻芯軸部54上に、接着テープ構造体1が、隣接する接着テープ構造体1の間隔が所定の値pとなるように巻き付けられ(図6(b)参照)、さらに、これら接着テープ構造体1上に、隣接する接着テープ構造体1の間隔が所定の値pとなるように接着テープ構造体1が重ねて巻き付けられる(図6(c)参照)。
この場合、隣接する接着テープ構造体1の間隔pは、テープ幅方向にはみ出す接着剤によって隣接する接着テープ構造体1同士が接着するおそれがなく、かつ、接着テープ構造体1を巻き取る際に巻き崩れが発生しない値に設定するとよい。
以下、実施例及び比較例を挙げて本発明を具体的に説明するが、本発明は以下の実施例に限定されるものではない。
以下の条件により、接着テープ構造体の構成要素である連結テープの実施例及び比較例を作成した。

<実施例1>
厚さ50μmの黒色のPETからなる連結基材上に粘着剤層及び剥離フィルムを順次形成して連結テープを作成した。
粘着剤層は、以下の樹脂Aからなるものである。
すなわち、樹脂Aの組成は、シリコーン系樹脂(東レ・ダウコーニング社製 SD4584PSA)100重量部、硬化剤(東レ・ダウコーニング社製 BY24-741)0.7重量部、シランカップリング剤(モメンティブ・パフォーマンス・マテリアルズ社製 A-187)1重量部、白金触媒(東レ・ダウコーニング社製 NC-25)0.6重量部を含有するものである。
この組成物を、バーコーターによって連結基材上に塗布し、温度70℃で5分間加熱した後、更に150℃で4分間加熱して硬化させ、厚さ20μmの粘着剤層を形成した。
また、剥離フィルムとしては、厚さ25μmのPETからなるものを用いた。
厚さ50μmの黒色のPETからなる連結基材上に粘着剤層及び剥離フィルムを順次形成して連結テープを作成した。
粘着剤層は、以下の樹脂Aからなるものである。

ここで、樹脂Bの組成は、フェノキシ樹脂(新日鐵化学社製 YP-50)30重量部、液状エポキシ樹脂(三菱化学社製 JER828)20重量部、ゴム成分(ナガセケムテック社製 SG80H)10重量部、硬化剤(旭化成社製 ノバキュア3941HP)40重量部、シランカップリング剤(モメンティブ・パフォーマンス・マテリアルズ社製 A-187)1重量部を含有するものである。
粘着剤層の材料として、以下の樹脂Bからなるものを用いる以外は実施例1と同一の条件で連結テープを作成した。
ここで、樹脂Bの組成は、フェノキシ樹脂(新日鐵化学社製 YP-50)30重量部、液状エポキシ樹脂(三菱化学社製 JER828)20重量部、ゴム成分(ナガセケムテック社製 SG80H)10重量部、硬化剤(旭化成社製 ノバキュア3941HP)40重量部、シランカップリング剤(モメンティブ・パフォーマンス・マテリアルズ社製 A-187)1重量部を含有するものである。
<実施例3>
上記樹脂Aに溶融シリカフィラー(デンカ社製 FB-5D)を5重量%添加した以外は実施例1と同一の条件で連結テープを作成した。
上記樹脂Aに溶融シリカフィラー(デンカ社製 FB-5D)を5重量%添加した以外は実施例1と同一の条件で連結テープを作成した。
<実施例4>
上記樹脂Aに上記溶融シリカフィラーを10重量%添加した以外は実施例1と同一の条件で連結テープを作成した。
上記樹脂Aに上記溶融シリカフィラーを10重量%添加した以外は実施例1と同一の条件で連結テープを作成した。
<比較例1>
連結テープに粘着剤層及び剥離フィルムを設けることなく、厚さ50μmの実施例1と同一の連結基材のみを用いた。

《評価方法》
(1)粘着剤層のタック力
実施例1~実施例4に対応する、幅1.5mm、長さ100mの接着テープ構造体のサンプルをそれぞれ作成した。
この場合、長さ50mの接着テープ2個を、長さ30cmの連結テープで連結した。
これらの接着テープ構造体のサンプルを、タッキング試験器(RHESCA社製)に装着し、JIS Z 3284に準拠するタッキング試験を行った。
この場合、検出部のプローブはφ5mmとし、このプローブを速度30mm/minで下降させて粘着剤層に接触させ、200gf/5mmφの力で1秒間加圧して上昇させた際のタック力を測定した。その結果を表1に示す。
(1)粘着剤層のタック力
実施例1~実施例4に対応する、幅1.5mm、長さ100mの接着テープ構造体のサンプルをそれぞれ作成した。
この場合、長さ50mの接着テープ2個を、長さ30cmの連結テープで連結した。
これらの接着テープ構造体のサンプルを、タッキング試験器(RHESCA社製)に装着し、JIS Z 3284に準拠するタッキング試験を行った。
この場合、検出部のプローブはφ5mmとし、このプローブを速度30mm/minで下降させて粘着剤層に接触させ、200gf/5mmφの力で1秒間加圧して上昇させた際のタック力を測定した。その結果を表1に示す。
(2)ライン走行性
実施例1~実施例4に対応する、幅1.5mm、長さ100mの接着テープ構造体のサンプルをそれぞれ作成した。
この場合、長さ50mの接着テープ2個を、長さ30cmの連結テープで連結した。
これらの接着テープ構造体のサンプルを、ポリスチレンからなる、外径がφ200mm、内径がφ50mmのリール部材にそれぞれ巻き付けた。
これらの接着テープ構造体のリール部材を、図2に示す装置に装着して剥離フィルムを剥離し、連結基材に残った粘着剤層が、ポリ4フッ化エチレンからなるガイドローラに接触した際の粘着剤層の転着、並びに、走行性への影響を目視によって確認した。その結果を表1に示す。
この場合、粘着剤層に接触するガイドローラの部分は1箇所とした。
また、テープの送り速度は200mm/secとし、テープの送りピッチは200mmとした。
実施例1~実施例4に対応する、幅1.5mm、長さ100mの接着テープ構造体のサンプルをそれぞれ作成した。
この場合、長さ50mの接着テープ2個を、長さ30cmの連結テープで連結した。

この場合、粘着剤層に接触するガイドローラの部分は1箇所とした。
また、テープの送り速度は200mm/secとし、テープの送りピッチは200mmとした。
(3)連結テープの剥離フィルムの剥離力と、接着テープの剥離カバーフィルムの剥離力との関係
実施例1~実施例4に対応する、幅50mm、長さ200mmの連結テープのサンプルをそれぞれ作成した。
また、接着テープとして、ベースフィルム上に、接着剤層及び剥離カバーフィルムを順次形成されているものを作成した。
この場合、ベースフィルムは、厚さ50μmのPETからなり、接着剤層は、厚さ20μmの上記樹脂Bからなり、剥離カバーフィルムは、厚さ25μmのPETからなるものを用い、幅50mm、長さ200mmの接着テープのサンプルを作成した。
実施例1~実施例4に対応する、幅50mm、長さ200mmの連結テープのサンプルをそれぞれ作成した。
また、接着テープとして、ベースフィルム上に、接着剤層及び剥離カバーフィルムを順次形成されているものを作成した。
この場合、ベースフィルムは、厚さ50μmのPETからなり、接着剤層は、厚さ20μmの上記樹脂Bからなり、剥離カバーフィルムは、厚さ25μmのPETからなるものを用い、幅50mm、長さ200mmの接着テープのサンプルを作成した。
そして、実施例1~実施例4の連結テープのサンプルを、剥離力測定器(オリエンテック社製 TENSILON)に装着し、JIS K 6854に準拠する方法により、それぞれ粘着剤層に対する剥離フィルムの剥離力を測定した。
また、接着テープのサンプルを、同一の剥離力測定器に装着し、上記方法によって接着剤層に対する剥離カバーフィルムの剥離力を測定した。
そして、接着テープの剥離カバーフィルムの剥離力(X)に対する、連結テープの剥離フィルムの剥離力(Y)の比(Y/X)をそれぞれ算出した。その結果を表1に示す。
また、接着テープのサンプルを、同一の剥離力測定器に装着し、上記方法によって接着剤層に対する剥離カバーフィルムの剥離力を測定した。
そして、接着テープの剥離カバーフィルムの剥離力(X)に対する、連結テープの剥離フィルムの剥離力(Y)の比(Y/X)をそれぞれ算出した。その結果を表1に示す。
(4)連結テープの剥離フィルムの剥離性
実施例1~実施例4に対応する、幅1.5mm、長さ100mの接着テープ構造体のサンプルを作成した。
この場合、上記(3)の接着テープと同一の積層構造を有する幅1.5mm、長さ50mの接着テープ2個を、長さ30cmの連結テープで連結した。
これらの接着テープ構造体のサンプルを、ポリスチレンからなり、外径がφ200mm、内径がφ50mmのリール部材にそれぞれ巻き付けた。
そして、各接着テープ構造体のリール部材を、図2に示す装置に装着して剥離フィルムを剥離し、剥離フィルムの剥離性を目視によって確認した。その結果を表1に示す。
この場合、テープの送り速度は200mm/secとし、テープの送りピッチは200mmとした。
実施例1~実施例4に対応する、幅1.5mm、長さ100mの接着テープ構造体のサンプルを作成した。
この場合、上記(3)の接着テープと同一の積層構造を有する幅1.5mm、長さ50mの接着テープ2個を、長さ30cmの連結テープで連結した。
これらの接着テープ構造体のサンプルを、ポリスチレンからなり、外径がφ200mm、内径がφ50mmのリール部材にそれぞれ巻き付けた。
そして、各接着テープ構造体のリール部材を、図2に示す装置に装着して剥離フィルムを剥離し、剥離フィルムの剥離性を目視によって確認した。その結果を表1に示す。
この場合、テープの送り速度は200mm/secとし、テープの送りピッチは200mmとした。
(5)連結テープの粘着剤層の光透過率
実施例1~実施例4に対応する、幅1.5mm、長さ200mの接着テープ構造体のサンプルを作成した。
この場合、長さ50mの接着テープ4個を、長さ30cmの連結テープで連結した。
これらの接着テープ構造体のサンプルを分光測色計(KONIKA MINOLTA社製 CM-3600d)に装着し、波長600nmにおける光透過率をそれぞれ測定した。その結果を表1に示す。
実施例1~実施例4に対応する、幅1.5mm、長さ200mの接着テープ構造体のサンプルを作成した。
この場合、長さ50mの接着テープ4個を、長さ30cmの連結テープで連結した。
これらの接着テープ構造体のサンプルを分光測色計(KONIKA MINOLTA社製 CM-3600d)に装着し、波長600nmにおける光透過率をそれぞれ測定した。その結果を表1に示す。
(6)スリット性
実施例1~実施例4、比較例1に対応する、幅300mm、長さ100mの接着テープ構造体のサンプルを作成した。
この場合、長さ50mの接着テープ2個を、長さ30cmの連結テープで連結した。
次に、定盤上に1.5mm間隔でカッター刃を設置したスリット装置において、50mm/secの速度で、接着テープ構造体のサンプルを移動し、スリットを行った。その際、目視にて走行性を確認した。
なお、スリット性は、サンプル作成直後のものと、温度40℃で72時間エージングした後のものについて行った。
実施例1~実施例4、比較例1に対応する、幅300mm、長さ100mの接着テープ構造体のサンプルを作成した。
この場合、長さ50mの接着テープ2個を、長さ30cmの連結テープで連結した。
次に、定盤上に1.5mm間隔でカッター刃を設置したスリット装置において、50mm/secの速度で、接着テープ構造体のサンプルを移動し、スリットを行った。その際、目視にて走行性を確認した。
なお、スリット性は、サンプル作成直後のものと、温度40℃で72時間エージングした後のものについて行った。
(7)光センサ認識性
実施例1~実施例4に対応する、幅1.5mm、長さ100mの接着テープ構造体のサンプルを作成した。
この場合、長さ50mの接着テープ2個を、長さ30cmの連結テープで連結した。
これらの接着テープ構造体のサンプルを、ポリスチレンからなり、外径がφ200mm、内径がφ50mmのリール部材にそれぞれ巻き付けた。
実施例1~実施例4に対応する、幅1.5mm、長さ100mの接着テープ構造体のサンプルを作成した。
この場合、長さ50mの接着テープ2個を、長さ30cmの連結テープで連結した。
これらの接着テープ構造体のサンプルを、ポリスチレンからなり、外径がφ200mm、内径がφ50mmのリール部材にそれぞれ巻き付けた。
そして、各接着テープ構造体のリール部材を、図2に示す装置に装着して走行させ剥離フィルムを剥離し、接着剤層を介して連結基材を光センサが認識するか否かを確認した。その結果を表1に示す。
この場合、テープの送り速度は200mm/secとし、テープの送りピッチは200mmとした。
また、光センサとしては、デジタルファイバセンサ(OMRON社製 E3X-DA11-S)を用い、閾値を1750に設定した。
この場合、テープの送り速度は200mm/secとし、テープの送りピッチは200mmとした。

《評価結果》
<粘着剤層のタック力とライン走行性との関係>
表1から明らかなように、実施例1~実施例4のうち、粘着剤層のタック力が200gf/5mmφ以下の実施例3及び実施例4は、連結基材の粘着剤層がガイドローラに接触した際に粘着剤がガイドローラに転着せず、スムーズな走行性が得られた。
これに対し、粘着剤層のタック力が200gf/5mmφを超えた実施例1及び実施例2については、連結基材の粘着剤層がガイドローラに接触した際に粘着剤がガイドローラに転着し、当該接触部分において若干のひっかかりが生じた。
<粘着剤層のタック力とライン走行性との関係>
表1から明らかなように、実施例1~実施例4のうち、粘着剤層のタック力が200gf/5mmφ以下の実施例3及び実施例4は、連結基材の粘着剤層がガイドローラに接触した際に粘着剤がガイドローラに転着せず、スムーズな走行性が得られた。
これに対し、粘着剤層のタック力が200gf/5mmφを超えた実施例1及び実施例2については、連結基材の粘着剤層がガイドローラに接触した際に粘着剤がガイドローラに転着し、当該接触部分において若干のひっかかりが生じた。
<剥離フィルムの剥離力比と剥離フィルムの剥離状態との関係>
接着テープの剥離カバーフィルムの剥離力(X)に対する、連結テープの剥離フィルムの剥離力(Y)の比(Y/X)が2.0以下の実施例3及び実施例4は、剥離フィルムが粘着剤層からスムーズに剥離し、また剥離速度についても、接着テープの剥離カバーフィルムの剥離速度と同等であった。
これに対し、接着テープの剥離カバーフィルムの剥離力(X)に対する、連結テープの剥離フィルムの剥離力(Y)の比(Y/X)が2.0より大きい実施例1及び実施例2については、接着テープの剥離カバーフィルムに比べて若干遅く剥離した。
接着テープの剥離カバーフィルムの剥離力(X)に対する、連結テープの剥離フィルムの剥離力(Y)の比(Y/X)が2.0以下の実施例3及び実施例4は、剥離フィルムが粘着剤層からスムーズに剥離し、また剥離速度についても、接着テープの剥離カバーフィルムの剥離速度と同等であった。
これに対し、接着テープの剥離カバーフィルムの剥離力(X)に対する、連結テープの剥離フィルムの剥離力(Y)の比(Y/X)が2.0より大きい実施例1及び実施例2については、接着テープの剥離カバーフィルムに比べて若干遅く剥離した。
<粘着剤層の光透過率と光センサ認識性との関係>
粘着剤層の光透過率と光センサ認識性については、光透過率が70%以上である実施例1~実施例3は、光センサによって確実に認識された。
一方、粘着剤層の光透過率が58%の実施例4については、ごくまれに(100回に1回以下)光センサによって認識されなかった。
粘着剤層の光透過率と光センサ認識性については、光透過率が70%以上である実施例1~実施例3は、光センサによって確実に認識された。
一方、粘着剤層の光透過率が58%の実施例4については、ごくまれに(100回に1回以下)光センサによって認識されなかった。
<スリット性>
実施例1~実施例4のうち、粘着剤層の材料として樹脂Aからなるものを用いた実施例1、3、4は、サンプル作成直後及びエージング後のいずれのものについても問題なくスリットを行うことができた。
一方、粘着剤層の材料として樹脂Bからなるものを用いた実施例2は、エージング後のものについて、スリット時に剥離フィルムの一部剥離に伴う蛇行が発生したが、使用可能なレベルであった。
これに対し、連結基材上に粘着剤層及び剥離フィルムを設けない比較例1は、サンプル作成直後及びエージング後のいずれのものについても、スリット時に切れが発生した。
以上の結果から、本発明の効果を実証することができた。
実施例1~実施例4のうち、粘着剤層の材料として樹脂Aからなるものを用いた実施例1、3、4は、サンプル作成直後及びエージング後のいずれのものについても問題なくスリットを行うことができた。
一方、粘着剤層の材料として樹脂Bからなるものを用いた実施例2は、エージング後のものについて、スリット時に剥離フィルムの一部剥離に伴う蛇行が発生したが、使用可能なレベルであった。
これに対し、連結基材上に粘着剤層及び剥離フィルムを設けない比較例1は、サンプル作成直後及びエージング後のいずれのものについても、スリット時に切れが発生した。
以上の結果から、本発明の効果を実証することができた。

- ベースフィルム上に接着剤層と剥離カバーフィルムが順次設けられた複数の接着テープが、連結基材上に粘着剤層と剥離フィルムが順次設けられた連結テープを介して連結された接着テープ構造体であって、
前記接着テープのベースフィルムの端部と、前記連結テープの連結基材の端部とが基材側接着部材によって接着されるとともに、
前記接着テープの剥離カバーフィルムの端部と、前記連結テープの剥離フィルムの端部とが剥離側接着部材によって接着され、
前記剥離カバーフィルムと前記剥離フィルムが一体的に剥離されるように構成されている接着テープ構造体。 - 前記連結テープの連結基材が、非透光性の材料からなる請求項1記載の接着テープ構造体。
- 前記連結テープの粘着剤層が、前記接着テープの接着剤層の材料と異なる材料からなる請求項1記載の接着テープ構造体。

- ベースフィルム上に接着剤層と剥離カバーフィルムが順次設けられた複数の接着テープが、連結基材上に粘着剤層と剥離フィルムが順次設けられた連結テープを介して連結され、前記接着テープのベースフィルムの端部と、前記連結テープの連結基材の端部とが基材側接着部材によって接着されるとともに、前記接着テープの剥離カバーフィルムの端部と、前記連結テープの剥離フィルムの端部とが剥離側接着部材によって接着され、前記剥離カバーフィルムと前記剥離フィルムが一体的に剥離されるように構成されている接着テープ構造体を有し、
前記接着テープ構造体が、当該接着テープ構造体のテープ幅より幅広のフランジ間隔を有するリール部材にトラバース巻きで巻き付けられている接着テープ収容体。
