- the invention relates to a spacer for the spacing of glass panes of a multi-glazed window, a multi-glazed window, a vapor barrier film for a Ab ⁇ standholder, a method for producing a vapor barrier film and a method for producing a spacer, according to the features of the preambles of the independent claims.
- Multi-glazed windows are colloquially called multi-pane insulating glass. This type of glazing, in the first place, serves for heat dusk, i. the prevention of heat loss to a cold environment or the prevention of the heating of the interior by a relatively warmer environment.
- Multiple glazed windows usually consist Minim ⁇ least two parallel glass panes that are spaced apart by a spacer. This creates between the glass panes a space between the panes, which filled with air or gas represents an insulating layer.
- spacers are provided with a cavity which contains drying agent for drying the gas enclosed in the space between the panes.
- the spacers are usually designed so that they prevent the diffusion of water vapor from outside the space between the panes in the space between the panes and the same timely the gas and water vapor exchange between the atmosphere of the space between the panes and the desiccant ge ⁇ guarantee.
- the air gaps are usually filled with noble gases, primarily argon, for the purpose of improving the iso ⁇ tion.

- Such an arrangement of the vapor barrier film leads to an optimized primer for an adhesive tape or for a primary seal for attaching the spacer to the glass sheets and at the same time to a reduction of diffusion ⁇ columns on the sides of the spacer.
- the vapor barrier film is in this case applied to the outer contour of the Ab ⁇ stand holder and thus forms after application, the outer layer of the spacer.
- the Vapor barrier film with the exception of an adhesive tape covered by no further layers.
- the main body of the spacer is preferably produced as described in WO2012 / 140005.
- the base body can be a rigid body also, for example, an o- lefinähnliches material, in which a drying agent is a ⁇ fillable.
- An embodiment according to WO2012 / 140005 has the advantage that depending on the degree of foaming the material cost is ge ⁇ lowers and the thermal conductivity of the spacer is also less; however, it may be that the extrusion tolerances are greater than with unfoamed profiles. This geometry disadvantage can be largely eliminated by the use of vapor barrier films.
- the arrangement of the Dampfsperrfo ⁇ lie and three sides of the spacer has the advantage that the efficient profile dimensional stability in the profile width can be easily used by the profile foil protection by a calibration. Any foaming volume tolerances are compensated in terms of processing-technically uncritical profile height.
- the end faces of the spacer can a step (so-called. Tylkante butyl), and the vapor barrier film may surround the distance ⁇ holder at the end faces substantially at least up to the stage.
- the distance between the end faces on the outer side of the spacer is in this case smaller than the distance between the end faces in the direction of the inside of the spacer.
- the step facilitates the attachment of a primary seal during assembly of the multi-glazed window.
- the vapor barrier film is at the same time an optimal adhesive ⁇ reason for a primary seal and thus allows a long life of multi-glazed window and prevents the diffusion of water vapor.
- the vapor barrier film may, however, preferably also completely surround the main body of the spacer substantially on the end faces as well.
- Such a vapor barrier film is arranged in addition gives an optimum adhesion for a Adphosivband, which is used for Fi ⁇ xation of the spacer in the assembly of Multiples ⁇ -glazed window. Furthermore, the Diffu ⁇ sion opportunities with a complete coverage of the

- the vapor barrier film can be welded onto the base body of the spacer and thus can be easily manufactured and securely and diffusion ⁇ tightly attached to the body.
- the vapor barrier film may comprise a carrier layer of polyethylene terephthalate.
- a polyethylene terephthalate support layer results in a high tensile strength backing which prevents breakage of the SiO x coating during film application
- the vapor barrier film may comprise a second layer of SiO x .
- a second SiO x layer acts as a second gas barrier protected against mechanical influences. Furthermore, so-called “pinhole” coating defects are virtually eliminated, and a "pinhole” is a small process-related coating defect.
