- the external device 301 connected via the external I / F (20) the same image as that displayed on the display unit 14 is displayed on the display unit 14 as it is without being subjected to rotation processing or reverse processing. .
- FIG. 3B is a display example when the monitor unit 120 is in the facing position.
- the display unit 14 displays an image (reproduced image 303) which has been subjected to the up / down / left / right reverse processing on the image read out from the removable recording medium 19. Therefore, when displaying based on the same image, the reproduced image 302 displayed in FIG. 3A and the reproduced image 303 displayed in FIG. 3B have an upside-down relationship with respect to the origin 130. However, as illustrated, when viewed from the user, the reproduced image 302 and the reproduced image 303 look in the same direction. Thus, even if the monitor unit 120 is rotated and the direction in which the monitor unit 120 is viewed changes, the image can be viewed in the same direction as viewed from the user.
- the external device 301 connected via the external I / F (20) is different from the reproduced image 303 in which the image of the same source displayed on the display unit 14 is inverted vertically and horizontally, and is rotated or inverted. It displays on the display part 14 as it is, without performing a process.
- the reverse recording mode can be set.
- the photographed image is horizontally reversed and recorded on the removable recording medium 19.
- the image recorded in the reverse recording mode is reproduced, an image which is a mirror image of the subject actually photographed is reproduced.
- the reverse recording mode is useful, for example, when shooting choreography of dance material for teaching materials. Even if the video taken by the choreographer danced as usual at the time of shooting, since the image is a mirror image regardless of the playback device at the time of playback, the trainee can see the left and right of the video as seen face-to-face You can practice in relationships. It is also useful when shooting sports forms such as golf swings.
- FIGS. 4A and 4B show display examples at the time of shooting when the reverse recording mode is turned off (live view display at the time of shooting standby, and live view display at the time of shooting and recording).
- FIG. 4A is a display example when the subject 401 is photographed with the monitor unit 120 at the open position. The photographed image is displayed as it is on the display unit 14 without being reversed or rotated, and the live view image 410 is displayed.
- the left-right relationship between the subject 401 and the live view image 410 looks in the same direction.
- the same video as the image to be recorded on the removable recording medium 19 is output and displayed on the television 301 which is an external device.
- FIG. 4B is a display example when the subject 401 is photographed with the monitor unit 120 at the facing position.
- the positional relationship between the digital camera 100 and the subject 401 is the same as that in the case of FIG. 4A except that the position to be viewed is different, and the same image is taken.
- the captured image is displayed upside down, left-right reversed as it is played back, although it is a normal image, when viewed from the subject 401, it moves in the opposite direction to itself, and fits in the shooting range as intended. It is difficult to adjust composition such as taking a pose. Therefore, when the monitor unit 120 is at the facing position, as shown in FIG. 4B, the image is displayed as a mirror image (mirror display).
- the live view image 411 has an inverted horizontal relationship in the image as compared to the live view image 410 displayed at the open position as viewed from the user.
- the live view image 411 displayed in this way moves in the same direction as the user as viewed from the subject and looks like a mirror, so it is easy for the user to adjust the composition such as fitting within a shooting range or posing.
- the photographed image is turned upside down. It does not reverse about right and left. Since the top, bottom, left, and right of the monitor unit 120 viewed from the user are opposite to the open position, a mirror image is displayed if only the top and bottom are reversed. Note that as the image displayed on the television 301, the image to be output to the external device and the image recorded on the removable recording medium 19 remain the normal image, and the mirror image is displayed on the display unit 14 at the facing position. It is only an image to display.
- FIGS. 5A and 5C show display examples (live view display at the time of shooting standby and live view display during shooting and recording) at the time of shooting when the reverse recording mode is turned on.
- FIG. 5B is a display example when the present application is not performed when the reverse recording mode is turned on.
- FIG. 5A is a display example in the case where the subject 401 is photographed with the monitor unit 120 at the open position with the reverse recording mode ON. Since the reverse recording is on, the captured image is horizontally reversed and displayed on the display unit 14, and the live view image 501 which is a mirror image is displayed. When viewing the display unit 14 from the back side opposite to the imaging unit 12, the left-right relationship between the subject 401 and the live view image 501 looks in the opposite direction. As a result, the reverse recording mode is turned on, and it is possible to recognize that the photographed image is horizontally reversed and recorded as a mirror image. In addition, a mode icon 502 indicating that the reverse recording mode is in progress is displayed superimposed on the live view image 501. An image of the same mirror image as the image to be recorded on the removable recording medium 19 is output and displayed on the television 301 which is an external device.
- the live view image 503 is a mirror image of the live view image 501 that has been displayed as a mirror image. As processing, the live view image 501 is flipped upside down only. As a result, it becomes an orthoimage obtained by inverting the captured image vertically and horizontally.
- the display has no particular merit when viewed from the subject. Therefore, in the present invention, when the facing position is reached in the reverse recording mode, the display as shown in FIG. 5C is performed.
- FIG. 5C is a display example when the subject 401 is photographed with the monitor unit 120 at the facing position with the reverse recording mode turned on.
- the positional relationship between the digital camera 100 and the subject 401 is the same as that in the case of FIG. 5A except that the position to be viewed is different, and it is assumed that the same image is captured.
- the image is displayed as a mirror image.
- the live view image 504 is a mirror image obtained by rotating the live view image 501, which has been displayed as a mirror image, by 180 degrees.
- the processing is an image obtained by inverting only the captured image up and down.
- the live view image 504 has the same left-right relationship in the image as compared to the live view image 501 displayed at the open position when viewed from the user.
- a live view image 504 When the subject looks at such a live view image 504, a video of the motion in the same direction as the user's own right and left motions can be seen, so that it is easy to fit within the shooting range or to pose.
- the mode icon 502 is vertically and horizontally reversed from the case of FIG. 5A, and the display position is displayed in a point symmetrical position with the center of the display unit 14 as an axis.
- the television 301 which is an external device, outputs and displays an image of the same mirror image as the image to be recorded in the removable recording medium 19 (an image obtained by horizontally reversing the captured image).
- FIG. 6 is a flowchart of photographing mode processing. The process for realizing the above-described display has been described. The processing of FIG. 6 is realized by expanding the program stored in the ROM 16 in the RAM 17 and the control unit 10 executing the program. When the digital camera 100 is activated in the photographing mode, the process of FIG. 6 is started.
- step S601 the control unit 10 refers to the mode information recorded in the ROM 16 and determines whether the reverse recording mode is currently on. If it is off, the process proceeds to step S602. If it is on, the process proceeds to step S605.
- control unit 10 determines, based on the output of the monitor position detection unit 21, whether or not the monitor unit 120 is in the facing position. If it is not the facing position, that is, if it is the closed position or the open position, the process proceeds to S603, and if it is the facing position, the process proceeds to S604.
- control unit 10 displays the through image (live view image) captured by the imaging unit 12 on the display unit 14 in the same direction without performing reverse / rotation processing. As a result, display at the open position as shown in FIG. 4A is performed.
- control unit 10 causes the image processing unit 13 to vertically flip the through image (live view image) captured by the imaging unit 12 and display the live view image on the display unit 14. As a result, mirror image display at the facing position as shown in FIG. 4B is performed.
- control unit 10 determines, based on the output of the monitor position detection unit 21, whether or not the monitor unit 120 is in the facing position. If it is not the facing position, that is, if it is the closed position or the open position, the process proceeds to S606, and if it is the facing position, the process proceeds to S607.
- control unit 10 causes the image processing unit 13 to horizontally flip the through image (live view image) captured by the imaging unit 12 and display the live view image on the display unit 14.
- a mode icon 502 is superimposed on the live view image to indicate that the reverse recording mode is on.
- mirror image display at the open position as shown in FIG. 5A is performed.
- control unit 10 causes the image processing unit 13 to vertically flip the through image (live view image) captured by the imaging unit 12 and display the live view image on the display unit 14.
- a mode icon 502 superimposed on the live view image and indicating that the reverse recording mode is on is displayed upside down and left to right.
- the mirror image display at the facing position as shown in FIG. 5C is performed.
- the control unit 10 determines whether or not the user has made a switching operation of on / off of the reverse recording mode.
- the user can optionally set whether the reverse recording mode is ON or OFF while selecting the ON / OFF switching item of the reverse recording mode included in the setting menu and displaying the switching screen. it can. If the user has made a reverse recording mode switching operation on / off, the process advances to step S609; otherwise, the process advances to step S610.
- control unit 10 switches on / off of the reverse recording mode set in accordance with the user operation, and records mode information indicating the state of the switching result in the ROM 16.
- step S610 the control unit 10 determines whether the shooting start button of the operation unit 15 is pressed and an instruction to start shooting a moving image is given. If it is determined that the start of shooting of a moving image is instructed, the process proceeds to step S611. If not, the process proceeds to step S616.
- step S611 the control unit 10 refers to the mode information recorded in the ROM 16 and determines whether the reverse recording mode is on or off. If it is off, the process proceeds to step S612. If it is on, the process proceeds to step S613.
- control unit 10 records the moving image captured by the imaging unit 12 on the removable recording medium 19 without changing the direction.
- control unit 10 subjects the moving image captured by the imaging unit 12 to horizontal inversion processing by the image processing unit 13 and then records the result on the removable recording medium 19. A mirror image moving image is recorded on the image thus taken.
- step S614 the control unit 10 determines whether the shooting start button of the operation unit 15 is pressed again and a shooting stop instruction is issued. If the imaging stop instruction has been issued, the process advances to step S615; otherwise, the process returns to step S611 to continue imaging.
- the control unit 10 performs a stop process. That is, various information at the time of shooting is given attribute information (associated with the moving image and recorded) to the moving image file storing the moving image recorded in the removable recording medium 19, and the file closing process is performed. At this time, attribute information (left / right reverse flag) indicating whether or not the reverse recording mode is a moving image recorded with ON is also recorded. The left / right inversion flag is recorded in header information of a moving image file, an associated management file, or a management file generated in the same folder as the moving image file.
- step S616 the control unit 10 determines whether there is an end event for ending the shooting mode process.
- the end event occurs when it is detected that the operation to turn off the power, the operation to shift to another operation mode such as the reproduction mode, or the lid of the storage slot of the recording medium such as a memory card is released. If there is no end event, the process returns to step S601 to continue the shooting mode process, and when there is an end event, the process in FIG. 6 ends.
- a still image can also be captured in the reverse recording mode.
- a still image shot in the reverse shooting mode a still image of a mirror image obtained by horizontally reversing the captured image is recorded as an image file.
- the mode icon 502 may not be displayed. By not displaying the mode icon 502, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of a part hidden behind the mode icon 502 in the live view image, and to display the live view image with high visibility. Also, in the case of S607, that is, as shown in FIG. 5C, it is understood that the reverse recording mode is ON only with the live view image only when the reverse recording mode is ON and shooting is performed at the facing position. Because there is not, the mode icon 502 may be displayed. Even when the reverse recording mode is on, in the case of the closed position and the open position (in the case of S606), the mode icon 502 is not displayed.
- the live view image can be displayed with high visibility without hiding a part of the live view image.
- the mode icon 502 is not displayed, it is possible to identify that the reverse recording mode is on because the live view image is displayed in reverse. Further, when the reverse recording mode is on, the mode icon 502 is displayed regardless of the position of the monitor unit 120, but it is also conceivable to make the display mode different between the case of the facing position and the case of not being so. For example, it is conceivable to perform at least one of displaying larger in the case of the face-to-face position than in the other case, displaying in a prominent color (for example, red), and displaying in blinking.
- a prominent color for example, red
- the mode icon 502 When the facing position is not set, the mode icon 502 is displayed smaller than in the facing position, displayed in an inconspicuous color (for example, white), displayed light, and the like. This also allows the user to reliably recognize that the reverse recording mode is on in the case of the facing position where it is particularly difficult to notice that the reverse recording mode is on. In addition, it is possible to prevent live view display as much as possible at other positions.
- the mode icon 502 does not have to be in the form as described above, and may be information display different from live view display so that the user can identify that it is the reverse recording mode. For example, a character string such as "in reverse recording mode" may be displayed.
- the burr angle mechanism is not limited to this, and the opposite position where the live view image faces the shooting direction (subject side)
- the present invention is applicable as long as it can move to the facing position.
- the configuration is also applicable in which the monitor unit 120 can be rotated about an axis perpendicular to the axis 102 in parallel with the display surface of the display unit 14, that is, an axis parallel to the vertical direction of the display unit 14.
- the through image is flipped upside down and left / right reversed to display a mirror image.
- the reproduced image is displayed without changing its orientation without being reversed or rotated.
- the mirror image is displayed regardless of whether the mirror image is displayed at a position other than the facing position. do. Also, at the facing position, a mirror image is displayed regardless of whether the photographed image is recorded as a mirror image. This makes it easy to adjust the composition of the image viewed from the subject side. In this case, if the operation mode for recording in mirror image is set, in order to display information indicating it, it is identified whether or not the operation mode for recording in mirror image is selected even if mirror image display is performed at the facing position. It can be done.
- the display is also performed as the mirror image. By doing this, it is possible to make the user identify that it is an operation mode of recording in a mirror image even without notification by an icon or the like.
- control in the photographing mode processing described above has been described as being performed by the control unit 10, one hardware may perform as described above, or a plurality of hardware share the processing, so Control may be performed.
- the control corresponding to the shooting mode process is applied to the digital camera 100 has been described as an example, the present invention is not limited to this example, and a display control device provided with a display unit capable of moving the position It is applicable. That is, the present invention is applicable to personal computers, PDAs, mobile phone terminals, music players, game machines, e-book readers, and the like.
- the image to be reproduced may be an image (reversed image) recorded by reversing the right and left at the time of shooting. Further, in the present embodiment, it is possible to perform reproduction by performing a process of reversing the right and left at the time of reproduction. As a result, even when an image of a normal image recorded without being reversed horizontally is reproduced, a mirror image (reversed image) can be displayed by the horizontally reversed process at the time of reproduction. Therefore, it is convenient for practicing dance.
- FIG. 7A shows a display example in the case where a moving image is shot and recorded with the reverse recording mode off.
- the display of the photographing mode icon, the calculated battery capacity, the photographing elapsed time, and the remaining photographing available time which are omitted in FIG. 5 is also illustrated.
- FIG. 7B shows a display example in the case where a moving image is shot and recorded with the reverse recording mode ON.
- the character "ABC" of the shirt of the person who is the subject appears in a state of being horizontally reversed. An operation of reproducing an image photographed in this manner will be described.
- the display unit 14 displays an index screen in which thumbnail images of a plurality of scenes (cuts) as shown in FIG. 8 are tiled.
- the moving image indicated by the tapped thumbnail is read out from the removable recording medium 19 and reproduced.
- the moving image being reproduced can be flipped horizontally according to the user's operation.
- a state according to whether the moving image being played back is a moving image recorded in the reverse recording mode and whether it is reproduced by performing a left-right reverse process (reverse playback) is performed. Display.
- FIG. 9 is a screen display example during moving image reproduction.
- the reverse icons 901 to 904 indicate the state according to whether the moving image being played back is a moving image recorded in the reverse recording mode and whether reverse playback is performed, and the reverse playback on / off switching operation It is a touch icon to receive.
- the alphabet (R) is used as an icon with a motif (material). As in this "R", other motifs may be used as long as they are asymmetric motifs that distinguish between right and left images.
- FIG. 10A shows a corresponding view of the display form of the reverse icons 901 to 904 according to whether or not recording is performed in the reverse recording mode and whether reverse reproduction is performed. It is assumed that information corresponding to this correspondence display is stored in advance in the ROM 16.
- the upper part of the correspondence diagram shows the time of reproducing an image which is normally recorded without being flipped and reversed during shooting, and the lower part is taken to be an image which is reversed and recorded during capturing.
- the left column of the correspondence diagram represents the case where reproduction is performed without flipping left and right (i.e., inversion is OFF), and the right column shows the case when reproduction is laterally reversed and reproduced (i.e., inversion is ON).
- the original motif of the arrow indicates inversion / non-inversion of the recorded moving image, which can be judged by the direction of “R”. That is, when the original (left side of the arrow) motif ("R") of the arrow is a normal image, it is understood that the reverse recording is an image recorded in the off state (that is, the normal image is recorded). If the original motif of the arrow ("R") is a mirror image, then it turns out that the reverse recording is on (i.e. the mirror image is recorded) being recorded on.
- the motif at the tip of the arrow indicates the state of reproduction when the reverse icon 900 (generally designated 901 to 904) is tapped to turn on reverse reproduction, which can be determined by the direction of "R". That is, if the motif ("R") at the tip of the arrow (right side of the arrow) is a normal image, the orientation of the image displayed when the reverse reproduction is turned on becomes a normal image with respect to the actual subject. I understand that. If the motif ("R") at the tip of the arrow (right side of the arrow) is a mirror image, it is understood that the direction of the image displayed when the reverse reproduction is turned on is a mirror image with respect to the actual subject.
- the reverse icon 900 is a reverse icon 900 that toggles between enabling and disabling each time it is tapped, and the color of the background of the reverse icon 900 (the display form outside the motif part in the icon) changes.
- the shaded area is orange (one display mode). In the case of orange (hatched), it is effective (that is, reverse ON), and in the case of black (the other display mode), it is invalid (that is, reverse OFF). That is, if the background color of the reverse icon 900 is black, it is understood that reverse reproduction is currently off, and the current state is a state represented by the original motif of the arrow (left side of the arrow).
- the reverse reproduction when the reverse reproduction is turned on by tapping the reverse icon 900, the state of the motif at the tip of the arrow (right side of the arrow) can be switched to the state represented.
- the background color of the reverse icon 900 is orange, it is understood that reverse reproduction is currently on and the current state is a state represented by the motif at the tip of the arrow (right side of the arrow).
- the reverse reproduction when the reverse reproduction is turned off by tapping the reverse icon 900, the state can be switched to the state in which the original motif of the arrow (left side of the arrow) is represented.
- the user can easily identify whether or not the image currently being reproduced is one that has been flipped right and left at the time of shooting.
- the user can easily identify whether the image currently being reproduced is the original right and left (that is, whether the image is an orthographic image or a mirror image of the actual object).
- the user can easily identify whether the currently displayed image is the image being reproduced by performing the reverse process at the time of reproduction.
- the user can easily identify how the image is to be played back after pressing the reverse icon 900 (ie, when the reverse processing function during playback is switched on / off).
- FIG. 9A shows the screen when the normal recording image is reproduced with reproduction reverse OFF.
- the screen when the normal recorded image is reproduced with the reproduction reverse ON is as shown in FIG. 9B, and the screen when the reverse recorded image is reproduced with the reproduction reverse OFF is as FIG. 9C, the reverse recorded image is displayed.
- FIG. 9D is a screen when the reproduction is performed with the reproduction reverse ON.
- FIG. 11 shows a flowchart of the reproduction process in the reproduction mode. This processing is realized by expanding the program stored in the ROM 16 in the RAM 17 and the control unit 10 executing the program.
- the digital camera 100 is activated in the reproduction mode and one of the thumbnails of the moving image displayed on the index screen is tapped, the processing of FIG. 11 is started.
- the control unit 10 reads a moving image corresponding to the thumbnail that has been tapped from the removable recording medium 19. Also, read the attribute information of the video. If the read attribute information includes a left-right reverse flag, the moving image to be reproduced is a mirror image moving image recorded in the reverse recording mode, and if the left-right reverse flag is not added, the moving image to be reproduced is a normal image. Information on whether or not the left / right reverse flag is given is held in the RAM 17.
- control unit 10 reproduces the moving image read in S1101 and displays it on the display unit 14. Further, based on the information of the left / right inversion flag held in the RAM 17, initial drawing of the inversion icon 900 is performed. Since reverse reproduction is not performed in S1102, if it is a moving image without a left / right reverse flag, as in the display example of FIG. 9A, using the reverse icon 901 of the display form at the upper left of FIG. Display.
- control unit 10 determines whether or not there is a tap operation on the reverse icon 900. If there is a tap operation on the reverse icon 900, the process advances to step S1104; otherwise, the process advances to step S1113.
- control unit 10 refers to the RAM 17 and determines whether or not reverse reproduction is currently performed. If the reverse reproduction is being performed, the process advances to step S1105; otherwise, the process advances to 1109.
- step S1105 the control unit 10 turns off reverse reproduction, and from that point on, the control unit 10 reproduces and displays the moving image being reproduced without inverting it. Further, the fact that reverse reproduction is off is recorded in the RAM 17.
- control unit 10 refers to the RAM 17 and determines whether or not the moving image being reproduced is one to which a left / right reverse flag is attached. If it is determined that the left / right reverse flag is attached, the process advances to step S1108; otherwise, the process advances to step S1107.
- control unit 10 displays the reverse icon 900 in the display form (901) at the upper left of FIG. 10A, which is the first display form. At this time, the moving image is displayed as a normal image. As a result, the display is as shown in FIG.
- step S1108 the control unit 10 displays the reverse icon 900 in the lower left display form (903) of FIG. 10A as the second display form. At this time, since the recorded moving image is a mirror image, a mirror image is displayed. As a result, the display is as shown in FIG.
- step S1109 the control unit 10 turns on reverse reproduction, and the image processing unit 13 reverses the moving image being reproduced from that point on and reproduces and displays the moving image. Further, the fact that reverse reproduction is on is recorded in the RAM 17.
- control unit 10 refers to the RAM 17 and determines whether the moving image being reproduced is one to which a left / right reverse flag is attached. If it is determined that the left / right reverse flag is attached, the process advances to step S1112, and if not, the process advances to step S1111.
- control unit 10 displays the reverse icon 900 in the display form (902) at the upper right of FIG. 10A, which is the third display form. At this time, the moving image is displayed as a mirror image. As a result, the display is as shown in FIG.
- the control unit 10 displays the reverse icon 900 in the display form (904) at the lower right of FIG. 10A, which is the fourth display form.
- the recorded moving image is a mirror image
- a moving image of a normal image obtained by inverting the left and right is displayed.
- the display is as shown in FIG.
- control unit 10 determines whether or not the user instructs to stop the reproduction of the moving image or the reproduction of the moving image to the end and the reproduction is stopped. If the reproduction is stopped, the process of FIG. 11 is ended. If not, the process returns to S1103 to repeat the process.
- FIG. 10B is a diagram showing an example in which the reverse icon is displayed in a different expression from the above-described embodiment. It is a reverse icon of the display form which shows a different state according to the position of upper left, upper right, lower left, lower right, but the reverse icon of each position shows the same state as the reverse icon at the same position in FIG. .
- the original motif of the arrow indicates inversion / non-inversion of the recorded moving image.
- the motif at the tip of the arrow indicates the state of reproduction when this video is inverted.
- the orange (hatched) portion indicates the current state.
- This inverted icon is an inverted icon that toggles the orange (hatched) position to be switched each time it is tapped, and switches between inverted / non-inverted playback.
- This embodiment is easy to recognize the current state because the motif representing the current state is highlighted in orange.
