Abstract

The invention relates to a plumbing fixture (11) with or without a rim, in particular a toilet or urinal, comprising a connection pipe (23) for the supply of flushing water, a bowl (12) and a rear section (20) with openings (21). The present invention relates to sanitary articles, in particular to toilets and urinals with rimless bowls or bowls with flushing rim, which are easy to clean, and a cleaning method.

Conventional toilet bowls have at the top of the bowl often an edge at the bottom of flushing water emerges. The maintenance cleaning of such toilets is often done by attaching a toilet block containing a rimblock to the rim of the toilet bowl so that the cleaning block is flushed with water at each rinse, releasing cleansers and fragrances and releasing the toilet bowl Cleaning block gradually dissolves. Frequently, the maintenance cleaning can also be done via the water box. As far as the water boxes are accessible, the water box lumpy detergent can be added. Toilets with flushing edge, however, have the disadvantage that contaminants from the toilet in / at the flushing rim and in the rear of the toilet under the serving as a baffle porcelain wall section and these places can not or only insufficiently cleaned with a small brush.

Furthermore, toilets and urinals are known, which have neither an accessible water tank nor a toilet bowl edge, at the bottom of flushing water leaking. The flushing is done in such rimless bowls in that the bowl is wetted with water with a defined flow profile. In this case, the rinsing water is generally conducted in such a way that the water from the rinsing water feed line impinges against the rear side of a porcelain wall section which extends at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the feed line. The wall portion is part of the toilet bowl and, in conjunction with other vanes forming open flow channels, causes the rinse water to exit the bowl laterally and at the bottom of the wall portion defined by a plurality of openings or gaps. The wall, the guide elements and the bowl are designed so that the rinse water by the impact on the wall portion, the shape of the guide elements and the shape of the bowl inner wall completely wets the inner surface of the bowl to be cleaned. The rinse water is then fed through the outlet located in the bowl to the drain line.

Such rimless toilets are sold, for example, by Keramag under the trademarks "Renova No. 1", "4U" or "iCon", by Toto under the "Tornado Flush" brand or by Mansfield under the "Cascade" brand ,

After these toilets have no flushing rim, it does not come to the known from the prior art contaminants on / in the flushing rim. Rather, the dish rimless toilet bowl is without any undercuts or the like except for the small area of the rinse water outlet, so that soiling - with the exception of the outlet area for the rinse water - is easily accessible and can be easily removed with a conventional toilet brush.

In such toilets and urinals with rimless bowls, however, occur pollution, such as calcareous and / or urinary stone and carbonation, algae or fungi, in the region of the outlet openings and columns, which are very difficult or impossible to remove.

The formation of lime and / or urine scale and feces, algae or fungi alters the airfoils, i. There is a risk that the entire pool will no longer be flushed with rinse water. In the worst case, even the openings and fissures with calcareous and / or urinary stone and carbonation, algae or fungi settle.

An often only partial cleaning in the area of the openings and gaps for the discharge of the rinse water is only possible by hand as part of a one-time cleaning, which is perceived by the consumer as extremely unhygienic, because it is necessary to bend in the direction of the bowl interior and then with a small brush to scrub the often inaccessible openings and gaps within the reach of the brush.

In the field of institutional hygiene such as hospitals, kindergartens or nursing homes, such a cleaning by hand, which also does not lead to the desired result, completely eliminated.

If one were to fasten a cleaning agent in a container or by gluing, for example with the means described in WO 2009/106220, analogously to the toilet bowl in the defined flow profile, the entire flow profile would be disturbed and thus a proper rinsing of the bowl prevented.

From DE 198 51 754 C2 a metering device for the delivery of a Spülwasserzusatzes to an intended for installation in a designed as a flushing edge pool of toilets or Urinalen Spülwasserverteiler is provided with a provided with the connection piece for the water supply housing, wherein the housing is a tank for Including receiving a Spülwasserzusatzes. During use, however, there is considerable contamination and the formation of urine stone between the bowl wall and the outer wall of the dosing device. These contaminants are very difficult to remove. The fact that the device is attached to the edge, the cleaning of the edge is also more difficult.

A cleaning system for toilets / urinals is known from DE 203 12 102 U1, in which one or more fillable containers are integrated laterally in the porcelain of the WC / urinal next to the flushing water pipe and are thus connected to the flushing water pipe, that a mixing of flushing water and container contents is possible.

A disadvantage of these refillable containers is that they can not be cleaned or only with great difficulty. As a result, the container grows gradually with a bacterial lawn, especially when cleaning agents are filled in the container, which promote bacterial growth.

From GB 826 603 a toilet bowl is known, which has a flushing edge, wherein in the wall of the bowl next to the water inlet a container is formed, whose outlet openings are in communication with the bowl. The container is used to hold cleaning agents. Also in this toilet, the outlet openings gradually settle with urine stone and are very difficult to clean.

DE 10 2005 029 609 A1 teaches a flushing water guide for a toilet bowl with flushing edge, which has a housing with a connecting piece for connection to the connection pipe and openings extending laterally and at the bottom for the outlet of the flushing water. The housing is installed in the bowl edge, which has a recess in the rear, and the connecting piece firmly connected to the connecting pipe. Above the housing, a dispenser for dispensing active ingredients is provided as an additive for the rinse water, which is interchangeable.

Even with this flushing water guide there is the problem that splashes pass through the downwardly directed openings in the housing, the housing gradually clogged and can not be cleaned.

EP 2 341 196 B1 teaches a mixing assembly integrally molded within the sanitary basin having a feed line and a plurality of drain lines extending between the mixing chamber and the bowl. In the mixing assembly is a holder for a cleaning agent. A disadvantage of this mixing arrangement is that the directed towards the bowl openings of the drain lines gradually enforced by splashes from the toilet bowl with urine or dirt and can not be cleaned.

The object of the present invention is to improve the cleaning of sanitary objects with and without flushing edge such as toilets and urinals in the area of the projecting into the bowl openings or columns for the flow of rinse water and to prevent contamination in this area.

This object is achieved in that in the hitherto known toilets or urinals with a connecting pipe for the Spülwasserzuführung, a bowl and a wall portion with openings, the openings in the wall portion for the passage of the rinse water into the bowl, the wall portion with the openings from the bowl upwards removable wall element with openings and the wall element can be positively connected on both sides with the bowl.

The fact that the wall element with the easily by the formation of urine stain polluting and gradually "growing" and the entire flow profile destructive openings according to the invention is not an area of the toilet bowl, but - as a single part - can be completely removed from the use position for cleaning purposes , is a simple cleaning, in particular the openings of the wall element, possible, wherein the wall element is then fixed again in the bowl in the use position or can be replaced by a new one.

In a preferred embodiment, the wall element can be fastened to the bowl exclusively with its two sides, so it can easily be removed, cleaned and put back in by the consumer in the context of a normal toilet cleaning, which is the device known from DE 10 2005 029 609 A1, in which the vessel is attached to the pipe in the rear toilet area, is not possible.

The wall element according to the invention can be removed as a part or a piece from the bowl. Preferably, the wall element is integrally formed and in a further variant in particular in one piece.

The pointing in the direction of the interior of the toilet bowl surface of the wall element is preferably flat. Preferably, the wall element is in the form of a bowl-shaped, slightly curved plate formed having openings for the passage of water and means for lateral attachment to the bowl.

In position of use, i. when the wall element is inserted into the bowl and the side of the wall element facing the center of the bowl forms a circumferential almost completely smooth surface, the transition between the lateral edges of the wall element and the laterally adjoining edges of the upper region of the inner surface of the wall element Toilet bowl almost infinitely. In other words, the shape of the inside of the toilet bowl with wall element corresponds to the shape of the inside of a conventional toilet, only the wall element is designed as a removable part, which can be removed as such from the position of use.

The toilet according to the invention is thus easy to clean throughout the bowl area as a conventional toilet. Due to the removable wall element, however, a further cleaning possibility in the region of the openings is opened, which is not known from conventional toilets. Also, the area of the inflow, in which, as explained later, cleaning agents can be positioned, can be easily cleaned after removal of the wall element and a possible bacterial lawn can be removed.

The removal of the wall element (baffle wall) together with openings is far simpler and more hygienic than the previously - practiced possibility for toilets with or without rinsing edge integrated in the ceramic dirty openings, namely kneel and drive with a small brush in the dirty openings and these, as far as the brush ever reaches into the opening to clean.

By "removable upwards" is meant not only a fully vertical, but also an oblique top (e.g., at an angle of 70 ° to 90 ° to the horizontal).

The openings in the wall element are used for the direct passage of the rinse water in the bowl or bowl edge and not to fill another vessel.

With the wall element removed from the bowl, all external surfaces are accessible for cleaning.

For positive attachment of the removable wall element in the bowl are different variants.

Preferably, the right and left sides of the wall element are connectable to the bowl via a groove joint, respectively. The groove connection can be, for example, a tongue and groove connection, wherein the groove on the bowl and the spring on the side of the wall element or vice versa can be provided.

In a preferred variant, the wall element laterally has two integrally formed retaining lips, which can each be secured in a corresponding groove in the bowl. The wall element is thereby pushed from above into the groove in the bowl. If the wall element is removed for cleaning purposes, then the groove is also accessible for cleaning purposes.

Also, a dovetail connection between the wall element and the bowl is possible.

In a further variant, the two side walls of the wall element extend obliquely in the direction of the interior of the bowl, as viewed from above, so that the wall element is pressed by the flushing flow against the corresponding inclined surface on the bowl.

In general, the groove connection between the wall element and the bowl extends in the vertical direction, in another variant, the groove connection between wall element and bowl obliquely upwards to counteract a pushing up of the wall element by the flushing stream.

In a toilet with flushing edge, it is thus possible to form them so that they have at the place where usually the wall portion is located, an opening with means for a positive fastening of the wall element, and the wall portion is formed as a removable element, the is positively fastened with the bowl.

In the toilet with flushing rim or without flushing edge, it is also possible to provide in the bowl an opening with means for a positive fastening, wherein the opening at the place where usually the wall portion is located and the upwardly adjoining (Spül ) edge piece is located. In this opening, an L-shaped wall element with a horizontal plate can be pushed in from above, that right and left of the wall portion of the inside of the bowl and right and left of the top of the horizontal plate which is located on the top of the plate right and left upper side the (flush) edge adjoins.

If the wall element is L-shaped, the long leg of the L corresponds to the previously described vertically extending wall element, at the upper edge of which a rectangular plate (short leg of the L) connects, which in turn to cover the opening in the flushing rim or in the edge the rimless toilet is used.

The width of the wall element depends on the diameter of the connection pipe. The width should be at least equal to the width of the connection pipe. Preferably, the wall element is between 3 and 30 cm, preferably between 8 and 25 cm, and more preferably between 15 and 20 cm wide.

In this variant, which is suitable for freestanding toilets and urinals, the positive connection with the bowl is achieved by the plugged onto the bowl U-profile, so that depending on the configuration even the previously described lateral groove connections can be omitted.

It is also possible that the further leg of the U is in the form of two individual legs or pins which engage in corresponding vertical holes in the bowl. This variant is particularly suitable for wall-mounted toilets.

The L-shaped or U-shaped wall element can also be designed as a disposable item, preferably with integrated cleaning agent, which can then be filled or replaced during cleaning like a conventional toilet bowl.

The cleaning agent can also be introduced directly into the connection pipe for the water supply without additional fastening means, whereby a special device for metering into the pipe can be provided (pipe-in-pipe system).

In addition, a special metering device such as a pump with a battery can be introduced into the tube.

Such in the range of the inlet of the rinse water in the flow direction in front of the bowl and the outlet openings and also generally located in front of the vanes cleaning agent does not adversely affect the flow profile in the bowl. It dissolves before each flushing partially in the water in the inlet and thus provides in the rinse water cleaning and / or fragrancing ready, as it is known, for example, in the cleaning products that are added to the toilet boxes.

Alternatively, the cleaning agent can also be adhered to the side of the wall element directed in the direction of the flushing water inlet, either adhesive viscous cleaning agents, for example from WO99 / 66017, EP1 325 103 B1, EP 1 318 191 B1 or DE 10 2004 056 554 A1 can be used. Also, piece-form toilet cleaners can be adhered to the baffle wall side of the wall panel by means of special adhesive pastes known from WO 2009106220 A1.

In a further variant of the invention, at least a portion of the wall element is transparent or has a viewing window, so that the consumer can check whether cleaning agent has to be refilled.

It is understood that the wall element on the facing in the direction of the connecting pipe side guide surfaces and / or on the side and / or bottom openings, which cause a guidance and distribution of the water in the desired area of the bowl.

In this way, the present invention not only makes it easy to clean sanitary objects in the area of the openings, but for the first time also enables easy maintenance cleaning of rimless toilets and simplified cleaning of rimed toilets without affecting the flow profile in the bowl.

The wall element according to the invention can be made of different materials such as plastic, stainless steel, glass or ceramic.

It is also possible to produce the wall element made of plastic and then to veneer with ceramic or other materials.

Preferably, plastic, if necessary. Faced with ceramic used, since a separate plastic part is easy to manufacture, easy to clean and can be tolerances far better comply with the production compared to ceramic parts.

In a further variant, some or all openings may be designed with nozzles in order to allow a better and more targeted alignment of the rinse water jet in the toilet. These nozzles can be rigid or can be moved out in the direction of the bowl even when the rinse is actuated by the water pressure. In general, depending on their shape and orientation, a different distribution and orientation of the individual rinse water jets in the toilet can be made possible by the nozzles. Thus, the removable wall element, which has openings with nozzles, also makes it possible to improve the flow profile, especially in the area of heavy soiling or less wetted areas.

In contrast to the known from the prior art additional containers that are mounted in the bowl, omitted in the wall element according to the invention also a container rear wall, between which and the interior of the bowl, further dirt and urine stone can accumulate. The wall element according to the invention preferably has no directly on the inner wall of the bowl or the inner edge of the toilet directly adjacent surface, but it is held only laterally or in a remote from the bowl interior of the toilet. In this respect, no dirt between two adjoining walls in or near the toilet bowl can fix.

In addition, the wall element according to the invention is not to be attached to a conventional bowl in addition, but the wall element is fastened to a special bowl without wall section and results, inserted into the bowl without wall section, then a usual shaped toilet, but in contrast to the prior Technique of the wall section can be taken. The wall element according to the invention forms a removable part of the toilet or urinal and is not an additional reservoir.

Another advantage of the present invention is also that the sanitary article according to the invention can also be used in the institutional field, since it allows a hygienic and simple maintenance cleaning.

Figure 1 shows a toilet 11 with a toilet bowl 12, an upwardly folded toilet seat 13 and a likewise folded lid 14. Lid 14 and glasses 13 are pivotally attached to the bowl 12 by corresponding means 15.

The bowl 12 has on its upwardly facing side on a flat edge 16 on which the toilet seat 13 rests in the closed position.

The inwardly facing wall 18 of the bowl 12 is slightly curved and otherwise largely smooth ( Figure 4 ). On the inner bowl wall 18 individual guide elements 19 are provided, which serve, from the rear region of the bowl 12, namely the connection pipe 23, in the bowl interior through openings 21 entering water with a defined flow profile in the manner of open flow channels on the inner wall 18th along the bowl. Main flow directions 30 are shown in dashed lines in Figures 1 and 6. The water flows through the drain pipe 24 in the lower bowl area.

In the toilet 11 is in the rear area of the toilet bowl 12, i. near the water connection pipe 23, instead of the conventional wall section acting as a baffle wall, a wall element 20 with openings 21 is provided which can be removed from the bowl 12. During the flushing process, the water flowing from the connection pipe 23 in the direction of the bowl 12 bounces "from the back", i. in the direction of the arrow A in Figure 4, against the wall element 20 which is fixed to the ceramic bowl 12. The inflowing water is distributed after the impact on the wall element 20 in the flow direction in particular to the right, left and down and then enters through the side and in the lower region of the wall member 20 located openings 21 in the bowl.

The wall element 20, which is shown schematically in a first embodiment in Figure 5 , has on the right and left side 25 of the wall member 20 each retaining lips 26, which serve for fastening in corresponding grooves 27 in the bowl 12.

The lateral transition between the wall member 20 and the bowl 12 should be nearly continuous, i. the visible side 34 of the wall element 20 should pass almost infinitely into the inner wall 18 of the bowl in order to avoid contamination in the transition region, but also to give the impression of a uniform circumferential "round" bowl rim.

For attachment, the wall element 20 is simply pushed from above into the grooves 27 in the bowl 12 in this embodiment. At the lower end, the grooves 27 in the tube space 23 ending openings, so that any impurities in the grooves 27 can be flushed out. After the grooves 27 are outside the bowl interior and the openings 21, they can not pollute like the openings 21 with urine stone.

Of course, the wall element 20 must be sufficiently rigid in order to serve as a baffle for the incoming rinse water.

Of course, the attachment of the wall member 20 to the bowl 12 must also withstand the water pressure.

In the detail view of the wall element 20 in FIG. 5 , openings 21 are shown in the lower area of the wall element 20. Instead of openings 21 may also be a gap between the lower edge 31 and the bowl 12, through which the flow of water is made possible.

In addition, lateral openings 21, as shown in Figure 5a , be provided, or both side openings and openings down. In addition, the wall element 20 may still have guide surfaces on the side pointing in the direction of the connection pipe 23 in order to guide the water flow according to the requirements of the bowl 12.

To clean the slightly polluting openings 21 in the wall element 20 (and also the bowl 12), the wall element 20 is removed from the bowl 12 (pulled out) and cleaned, for example in a washbasin with water and possibly a brush and urine stone remover or the like or in a intended for washing machines (bedpan washer, available from Hagmann or the company Topol) cleaned.

After removal of the wall element 20, the bowl 12 can now be cleaned in a simple manner with a brush, since all surfaces that may be contaminated by splashes from the toilet room, directly by simply driving through the brush can be cleaned from above, without bending over or use of special brushes for inaccessible places.

Due to the fact that the openings 21 are easy to clean due to the removal possibility of the wall element 20, it no longer happens that the openings 21, as is the case in the prior art, slowly become clogged with urine stone and the flow profile is disturbed until the bowl 12 is then no longer completely wetted by rinse water.

Compared to the conventional toilets in the toilet 11 according to the invention the wall portion 20 with the openings 21, against which the rinse water from the connection pipe 23 bounces from behind, not part of the ceramic bowl, but a separate removable part.

FIG. 7 schematically shows how a toilet cleaning and / or scenting block 28 for the maintenance cleaning can be fastened to the side of the wall element 20 pointing in the direction of the connecting pipe 23. For this purpose, on the side of the wall element 20 pointing in the direction of the connecting pipe 23, a gravel-like container 29 can be formed or attached, in which a cleaning agent 28, which gradually dissolves in each rinsing process, can be stored. The wall element 20 may comprise a horizontal plate 50 or be U-shaped (not shown in Figure 7).

Such a cleaning agent 28 is generally consumed in a four-headed family after 1 to 2 weeks and can then be replaced by removing or swinging out the wall element 20 and filling the container 29 again.

Of course, the means 29 for fixing the cleaning agent 28 may also be shaped differently or otherwise attached to the wall element 20.

However, instead of the additional fastening means 29 for the cleaning blocks 28, the cleaning blocks 28 can also be glued directly to the rear side of the wall element 20, for example with the means known from WO 2009/106220 A1. It is also possible to use a highly viscous adhesive cleaning agent instead of a solid cleaning block 28 and stick it directly or indirectly to the wall element 20.

In order to further improve the flow direction of the rinsing water in the bowl 12, the openings 21 may also be formed in the form of nozzles which also allow different directions for the outgoing jet, as shown schematically in Figure 8a, b .

In Figure 8c schematically a nozzle is sketched, which is moved out by the water pressure (in the direction of arrow) and rinsed radially perpendicular to the water inlet and returns to the initial position after completion of the rinsing process.

In Figure 9 , examples of positive connections between the wall element 20 and the bowl 12 and the flushing rim 40 are shown. According to FIG. 9 a , the wall element 20, which is shown in plan view from above on the right and left sides 25, respectively has a spring (nose) 26, which can be pushed into a corresponding groove 27 in the bowl 12 from above. The rear side 42 of the wall element 20 points in the direction of the connection pipe 23 (see also FIG. 3).

FIG. 9b shows the bowl 12 with the connection pipe 23 fixedly connected thereto in particular in one piece and the groove 27 for inserting the wall element from FIG. 9a in plan view. As a result of the pressure of the water impinging on the rear side 42 of the wall element 20 from the connection pipe 23, the wall element 20 with its oblique sides 48 is pressed against the beveled sides 49 on the bowl 12.

A variant with a dovetail-shaped connection is shown in FIG. 9e .

Figure 10 shows a toilet 11 with flushing rim 40 and a removable wall element 20 with a horizontal plate 50 in section. In contrast to the illustration in FIG. 4, the rim 40 is U-shaped in a toilet 11 with a flushing edge 40, as shown in FIG. 11 for the front area of the toilet 11. In a toilet 11 with flushing edge 40, it is advisable, the wall element 20 together with the perpendicular thereto adjoining, firmly connected to the wall element 20 horizontal plate 50 removably designed so that the wall element 20 with the preferably integrally connected horizontal plate 50 as a part can be pulled upwards and cleaned. After removal of the wall element 20, the area of the connection pipe 23 can then also be cleaned. If the wall element 20 is inserted with the plate 50, the upper side of the plate 50 with the laterally adjoining upper side 16 of the rinsing rim 40 results in a flat surface.

The plan view of a toilet 11 with rim 40 and inserted wall element 20 with horizontal plate 50 is shown in Figure 11 and a perspective view of the rear portion of the toilet 11 in Figure 12 . FIG. 13 shows the wall element 20 with horizontal plate 50 in section.

FIG. 14 schematically shows the variant of a U-shaped wall element 20 with abutment 51. In this variant, the wall element 20 bears against the bowl 12 at least partially with the inside 53, 54, 55.

FIG. 15 shows a further variant of a U-shaped wall element 20. In contrast to the variant in Figure 14, the "2. Leg "of two individual legs 52 or pin, which engage in two corresponding substantially vertical holes 60 in the bowl 12, which are shown in dashed lines in Figure 12.

Another variant, namely with a U-shaped wall element 20, Figure 10a shows. Since this U-shaped wall element 20 surrounds the upper edge of the bowl 12 by the contact with three surfaces and thus a positive connection with the bowl 12 is achieved, in this variant, the additional attachment by the lateral groove 27 is not essential.
