Abstract

The basin i.e. urinal basin (102), has a mixing arrangement (114) arranged above or in an upper part of a bowl (104). The mixing arrangement includes an inlet pipe (118) that is connected to a mixing chamber (116) to supply liquid i.e. flushing water, to the mixing chamber. Claims (12)

  1. A sanitary basin (102), comprising:
    a bowl (104);
    a mixing arrangement (114) which is integrally formed within the sanitary basin (102) and is arranged above or in the upper part of the bowl (104), wherein the mixing arrangement (114) comprises
    a mixing chamber (116);
    a supply pipe (118) which is connected to the mixing chamber (116) for the on-demand supply of liquid to the mixing chamber; and
    one or more discharge pipes (120) which extend between the mixing chamber and the bowl,
    characterized by a holder (126) which is adapted to hold a sanitary product, wherein at least a first portion of the holder is arranged within the mixing chamber (116), so that in use, the sanitary product can mix with liquid in the mixing chamber (116).
  2. A sanitary basin according to claim 1, wherein the holder (126) is adapted to receive the sanitary product from above.
  3. A sanitary basin according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the first portion of the holder has at least one opening (130) which allows mixing of the sanitary product with the liquid.
  4. A sanitary basin according to claim 1, 2 or 3, wherein the sanitary product comprises a solid sanitary product.
  5. A sanitary basin according to claim 4, wherein the sanitary product is provided in the form of a standardized tablet (128).
  6. A sanitary basin according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the bowl (104) comprises a substantially vertical surface portion, and the one or more discharge pipes (120) extend between the mixing chamber (116) and the substantially vertical surface portion.
  7. A sanitary basin according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the mixing chamber (116), the supply pipe (118), the first portion of the holder and the one or more discharge pipes (120) are not visible from in front of the sanitary basin.
  8. A sanitary basin according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the cross-sectional diameter of the one or more discharge pipes and the solubility of the sanitary product in the liquid are predefined, so that in use, the liquid flows out of the mixing chamber through the one or more discharge pipes at a rate which allows mixing of at least part of the sanitary product into the liquid.
  9. A sanitary basin according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the liquid is water.
  10. A sanitary basin according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein a second portion of the holder projects beyond an upper surface of the sanitary basin and delimits a feed opening for filling in the sanitary product.
  11. A sanitary basin according to claim 10, wherein the holder (126) includes a seal (204) for sealing the feed opening once the sanitary product has been filled in.
  12. A sanitary basin according to any one of the preceding claims in the form of a urinal basin.
