- the preparation of the photoinitiator can be carried out by the following synthetic steps, and the corresponding variants or derivatizations can be prepared by the same reaction by selecting the corresponding starting materials. Since the photoinitiator has a structure of benzophenone, it absorbs ultraviolet light energy in a wide spectral range and decomposes into a radical, thereby initiating a polymerization reaction of a reactive monomer. There are many ways to cleave such photoinitiators into free radicals under ultraviolet light irradiation. The most common cleavage reaction formula is as follows.

- the liquid crystal composition can be kept stable during storage, transportation, and the like, and the polymerization reaction of the reactive monomer can be prevented in advance.
- the reactive monomer can be reacted with an alignment film comprising polyimide to form an alignment polymer for molecular orientation of the negative liquid crystal material.
