前記固形分の比重と、当該タイヤパンクシール材中の水と前記凍結防止剤との混合物の比重との差が±0.1以内である組成物が、貯蔵安定性に優れるタイヤパンクシール材となることを見出し、本発明を完成させた。つまり、本発明のタイヤパンクシール材は、長期保管を想定した貯蔵安定試験において、(1)固形分の比重と、当該タイヤパンクシール材中の水と凍結防止剤との混合物の比重の差が小さいこと、及び、(2)タイヤパンクシール材全量中における固形分が20~65質量%である(例えば、系内におけるポリマー微粒子の斥力が適度に生じることができる)ことによって、タイヤパンクシール材中でポリマー及び/又は有機化合物(前記ポリマーを除く。)の分離が発生せず、ポリマー微粒子の分散性が維持され、良好な分散状態を維持できる。また本発明のタイヤパンクシール材は、従来同様又はそれ以上のシール性能を有する。
また、本願発明においては、天然ゴムラテックス中の固形分の比重が小さい場合があることを見出し、これに凍結防止剤(凍結防止剤は一般的に水より比重が大きい。)を加えると、タイヤパンクシール材の貯蔵安定性が低くなることを見引した。このため、これを解決するために、例えば、天然ゴムラテックスと、これより固形分の比重が大きい合成樹脂エマルジョンとを用いることによって、ラテックス及びエマルジョン中の固形分全体の比重を大きくし、これを水及び凍結防止剤の混合物の比重(例えば1より大きい)に合わせるようにする場合、固形分の分散を保ち、貯蔵安定性に優れることを見出した。
1. ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンと、凍結防止剤とを含有するタイヤパンクシール材であって、
前記ラテックス及び/又は前記エマルジョンが、固形分として、少なくともポリマー及び/又は有機化合物(前記ポリマーを除く。)を含み、
前記固形分の量が、当該タイヤパンクシール材全量中の20~65質量%であり、
前記固形分の比重と、当該タイヤパンクシール材中の水と前記凍結防止剤との混合物の比重との差が±0.1以内である、タイヤパンクシール材。
2. 界面活性剤を添加しない、又は、更に界面活性剤を添加し前記添加された界面活性剤の量が前記固形分100質量部に対して0.5質量部以下である上記1に記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
3. 前記凍結防止剤が、エチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール、ジエチレングリコール、グリセリン及び1,3-プロパンジオールからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種である上記1又は2に記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
4. 水と前記凍結防止剤の質量比が20:80~50:50である、上記1~3のいずれかに記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
5. 前記固形分の比重が、0.82~1.15である上記1~4のいずれかに記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
6. 前記水と前記凍結防止剤との混合物の比重が、0.95~1.15である上記1~5のいずれかに記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
7. 前記エマルジョンが合成樹脂エマルジョンである上記1~6のいずれかに記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
8. 前記ラテックスが天然ゴムラテックスである上記1~7のいずれかに記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
9. 前記ラテックスの固形分の比重が0.82~0.93である上記1~8のいずれかに記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
10. 前記ラテックス及び前記エマルジョンを含有し、前記ラテックスが天然ゴムラテックスであり、前記エマルジョンが合成樹脂エマルジョンであり、前記合成樹脂エマルジョンの固形分の比重が、前記天然ゴムラテックスの固形分の比重より、0.1以上大きい上記1~9のいずれかに記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
11. 前記ポリマーが、天然ゴム、ウレタン樹脂、アクリル樹脂、ポリオレフィン、ポリ酢酸ビニル、ポリ塩化ビニル、エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体及びエチレン-酢酸ビニル-バーサチック酸ビニル共重合体からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種である上記1~10のいずれかに記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
12. 前記エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体が有する酢酸ビニル含有量が、前記エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体中の55質量%以下である上記11に記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
13. 前記ウレタン樹脂が、芳香族系ポリイソシアネートと芳香族系ポリオールとイオン性官能基を有するポリオールとを用いて形成される化合物である上記11又は12に記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
14. 前記固形分の比重が1以下のラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンと、前記固形分の比重が1を超えるラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンとを含有する上記1~13のいずれかに記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
15. ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンと凍結防止剤とのみを含有するタイヤパンクシール材であって、
前記ラテックス及び/又は前記エマルジョンが、固形分として、少なくともポリマー及び/又は有機化合物(前記ポリマーを除く。)を含み、
前記固形分の量が、当該タイヤパンクシール材全量中の20~65質量%であり、
前記固形分の比重と、当該タイヤパンクシール材中の水と前記凍結防止剤との混合物の比重との差が±0.1以内である、タイヤパンクシール材。
本発明のタイヤパンクシール材は、
ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンと、凍結防止剤とを含有し、
前記ラテックス及び/又は前記エマルジョンが、固形分として、少なくともポリマー及び/又は有機化合物(前記ポリマーを除く。)を含み、
前記固形分の量が、当該タイヤパンクシール材全量中の20~65質量%であり、
前記固形分の比重と、当該タイヤパンクシール材中の水と前記凍結防止剤との混合物の比重との差が±0.1以内である、タイヤパンクシール材である。
本発明において、比重又は密度の測定温度は25℃である。また、比重の算出に当たり、基準(分母)を25℃での水の密度を1.0として、比重を次のとおり算出した。
比重=(25℃での密度)/1.0
本発明のタイヤパンクシール材に含有させることができるラテックスは、水と固形分とを含む。固形分は少なくともポリマー及び/又は有機化合物(前記ポリマーを除く。)を含む。本発明において、ラテックスの固形分は、ラテックスから水を除いたものとすることができる。エマルジョンについても同様である。
このことから、本発明のタイヤパンクシール材は、ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンの固形分を含有する。すなわち、ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンの固形分は、本発明のタイヤパンクシール材の固形分となる。
なお、本発明において、タイヤパンクシール材の固形分にはタイヤパンクシール材中に含有される、水、凍結防止剤、必要に応じて使用することができる、例えば無機物等は含まれないものとすることができる。
ポリマー及び/又は有機化合物は乾燥された状態で固体となるものが好ましい態様の1つとして挙げられる。
ラテックスは、貯蔵安定性により優れ、シール性能に優れるという観点から、天然ゴムラテックスであるのが好ましい。
ラテックスとしては、例えば、天然ゴムラテックスが挙げられる。
ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンに含まれる有機化合物は、ラテックス、エマルジョンに一般的に含まれる有機物(上記ポリマー以外)であれば特に制限されない。例えば、界面活性剤が挙げられる。本発明において、ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンに含まれる有機化合物からは、前記ポリマーが除かれる。界面活性剤は特に制限されない。例えば従来公知のものが挙げられる。
ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンは、なかでも、貯蔵安定性により優れ、シール性能に優れるという観点から、天然ゴムラテックス、ウレタン樹脂エマルジョン、エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体エマルジョンが好ましい。
なかでも、貯蔵安定性により優れ、シール性能に優れるという観点から、天然ゴムラテックスと合成樹脂エマルジョンとの併用が好ましく、天然ゴムラテックスと、ウレタン樹脂エマルジョン及び/又はエチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体エマルジョンとの併用がより好ましい。
天然ゴムラテックスと合成樹脂エマルジョンとの併用の場合、天然ゴムラテックスの固形分と合成樹脂エマルジョンの固形分との質量比(NRラテックス固形分:合成樹脂エマルジョンの固形分)は、貯蔵安定性により優れ、シール性能に優れるという観点から、30:70~90:10であるのが好ましい。
天然ゴムラテックスと、ウレタン樹脂エマルジョンとの併用の場合、天然ゴムラテックスの固形分とウレタン樹脂エマルジョンの固形分との質量比(NRラテックス固形分:ウレタン樹脂エマルジョン固形分)は、貯蔵安定性により優れ、シール性能に優れるという観点から、30:70~90:10であるのが好ましく、40:60~70:30であるのがより好ましい。
天然ゴムラテックスと、エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体エマルジョンとの併用の場合、天然ゴムラテックスの固形分とエチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体エマルジョンの固形分との質量比(NRラテックス固形分:エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体エマルジョン固形分)は、貯蔵安定性により優れ、シール性能に優れるという観点から、30:70~90:10であるのが好ましく、40:60~70:30であるのがより好ましい。
この場合、両者に含まれるポリマーの種類は同じであっても異なっていてもよい。例えば、
(1)固形分の比重が1以下である天然ゴムラテックスと、1を超える、ウレタン樹脂エマルジョン(例えば、芳香族系ウレタン樹脂のエマルジョン)及び/又はエチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体エマルジョン(例えば、酢酸ビニル含有量がエチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体中の55質量%以下であるもの)との組合わせ;
(2)固形分の比重が1以下であるウレタン樹脂エマルジョン(例えば、脂肪族系ウレタン樹脂のエマルジョン)と、1を超える、ウレタン樹脂エマルジョン(例えば、芳香族系ウレタン樹脂のエマルジョン)及び/又はエチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体エマルジョンとの組合わせ;が挙げられる。
ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョン中の固形分の比重が1以下の、固形分の量と、ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョン中の固形分の比重が1を超える、固形分の量との質量比(比重1以下の固形分:比重1超の固形分)は、貯蔵安定性により優れ、シール性能に優れるという観点から、10:90~70:30であるのが好ましく、30:70~60:40であるのがより好ましい。
貯蔵安定性により優れ、シール性能に優れるという観点から、ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンの固形分の1を超える比重が、ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンと固形分の1以下の比重より、0.1以上大きいのが好ましく、0.11~0.15大きいのがより好ましい。
EVAの重量平均分子量は、貯蔵安定性により優れ、シール性能に優れるという観点から、10万~100万であるのが好ましく、40万~70万であるのがより好ましい。エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体の重量平均分子量は、N,N′-ジメチルホルムアミド(DMF)を溶媒とするゲル・パーミエーション・クロマトグラフィー(GPC)によりポリスチレン換算で求められた。
ラテックス、エマルジョンはその製造について特に制限されない。例えば、従来公知のものが挙げられる。
凍結防止剤の比重は、貯蔵安定性により優れ、シール性能に優れるという観点から、0.95~1.3であるのが好ましく、1.0~1.2であるのがより好ましい。
凍結防止剤はその製造について特に制限されない。凍結防止剤はそれぞれ単独でまたは2種以上を組み合わせて使用することができる。
界面活性剤はそれぞれ単独でまたは2種以上を組み合わせて使用することができる。
タイヤパンクシール材に添加される界面活性剤の量は、貯蔵安定性により優れ、作業性(泡立ちが少なく後処理が容易である。)、シール性能に優れるという観点から、ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンの固形分100質量部に対して5質量部以下であるのが好ましく、1質量部未満であるのがより好ましく、0.5質量部以下であるのがさらに好ましく、0.1質量部以下であるのが特に好ましい。
なお、本発明のタイヤパンクシール材において、その製造に使用されるラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンがもともと界面活性剤を含む場合、その界面活性剤はラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンの固形分に含まれる。
ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンに含まれる固形分中におけるポリマー及び/又は有機化合物の量は、貯蔵安定性により優れ、シール性能に優れるという観点から、ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンに含まれる固形分中の60~90質量%であるのが好ましく、70~90質量%であるのがより好ましい。
また、タイヤパンクシール材中の水と凍結防止剤との混合物の比重は、貯蔵安定性により優れ、シール性能に優れるという観点から、0.95~1.15であるのが好ましく、1.0~1.1であるのがより好ましい。
本発明において、ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンに含まれる固形分の比重(これを比重Aとする。)と、タイヤパンクシール材中の水と凍結防止剤との混合物の比重(これを比重Bとする。)との差(A-B)は±0.1以内である。このような範囲である場合、貯蔵安定性、シール性能に優れる。また貯蔵安定性により優れ、シール性能に優れるという観点から、AとBとの差は±0.08以内であるのが好ましく、±0.07以内であるのがより好ましい。また、A-Bは貯蔵安定性により優れ、シール性能に優れるという観点から、0以下であるのが好ましい。
タイヤパンクシール材中の水の量は、貯蔵安定性により優れ、シール性能に優れるという観点から、タイヤパンクシール材を製造する際に使用される、ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョン中の固形分100質量部に対して、30~300質量部であるのが好ましく、40~200質量部であるのがより好ましい。タイヤパンクシール材に含有される水は、ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンに由来するものであってもよい。
本発明のタイヤパンクシール材は、その使用方法について特に制限されない。例えば、従来公知のものが挙げられる。
本発明のタイヤパンクシール材は、例えば、手絞り対応タイヤ応急パンク修理液として使用することができる。
本発明の別のタイヤパンクシール材は、
ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンと凍結防止剤とのみを含有し、
前記ラテックス及び/又は前記エマルジョンが、固形分として、少なくともポリマー及び/又は有機化合物(前記ポリマーを除く。)を含み、
前記固形分の量が、当該タイヤパンクシール材全量中の20~65質量%であり、
前記固形分の比重と、当該タイヤパンクシール材中の水と前記凍結防止剤との混合物の比重との差が±0.1以内である、タイヤパンクシール材である。
当該タイヤパンクシール材は、ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンと凍結防止剤とのみを含有する以外は、上述の本発明のタイヤパンクシール材と同義である。
<評価>
以下のとおり製造したタイヤパンクシール材を用いて以下の評価を行った。結果を各表に示す。
・振動試験(貯蔵安定性評価)
得られたタイヤパンクシール材を容器に入れ容器内の空気を窒素ガスで置換した後容器を密封し、この容器を7日間80℃の条件下におき、振動数20Hz、振幅±3mmの振動を与え続けた。
振動試験後、タイヤパンクシール材を目視で観察し、タイヤパンクシール材に凝集物がない場合を「優」、凝集物がある場合を「不可」とした。
・パンクシール性
タイヤのトレッドのショルダー溝部にパンク孔(直径4mm)を空けた。
次いで、パンク孔を空けたタイヤをドラム試験機に装着し、得られたタイヤパンクシール材をタイヤのバルブ口から注入し、タイヤ内圧が200kPaになるように空気を充填した。
その後、荷重350kg、時速30kmの条件下で上記タイヤを1分間走行させて停止する間欠運転を繰り返し、各停止後に、目視による確認、及び、石鹸水をパンク孔付近に吹き付ける処理による評価をし、間欠運転及びその後の評価を空気漏れがなくなるまで行った。
その結果、間欠運転を1~10回繰り返した段階で空気漏れがなくなるものをシール性能が非常に優れるとして「優良」と評価し、間欠運転を11~15回繰り返した段階で空気漏れがなくなるものをシール性能が優れるとして「優」と評価し、間欠運転を16回以上繰り返しても空気漏れがなくならないものをシール性能が劣るとして「不可」と評価した。パンクシール性が評価されていないものを「--」と表示する。
下記表に示す成分を同表に示す量(質量部)で用いてこれらを撹拌して均一に混合しタイヤパンクシール材(サンプル1~34)を製造した。
なお、表中において「ラテックス又はエマルジョン」欄の「固形分」は、ラテックス又はエマルジョン中の水以外の成分の合計量である。また、表中において「水」はラテックス又はエマルジョン中の水の量(ラテックス及びエマルジョンのうち複数を使用する場合はそれらがそれぞれ含む水の合計量)である。
「ラテックス又はエマルジョン」欄の「比重」は、ラテックス又はエマルジョン中の水以外の合計成分(ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンの固形分)の比重である。
本発明において、ラテックス又はエマルジョンに含まれる固形分の比重は、ラテックス又はエマルジョン1cm3を105℃の条件下で2時間乾燥させて水を除去し、残った固形分について電子天秤を用いて25℃の条件下で測定された。
・ポリウレタン(TDI系):ウレタンエマルジョン、商品名ボンディック330、DIC社製、トルエンジイソシアネートとポリオールとしての1,6-ヘキサンジオールアジペートとジメチロールプロピオン酸とによって得られるウレタンプレポリマーのエマルジョン、重量平均分子量200,000
・天然ゴム:天然ゴムラテックス、商品名ハイテックスHA、野村貿易社製
・EG:エチレングリコール(凍結防止剤)、和光純薬工業社製
・PG:プロピレングリコール(凍結防止剤)、三共化学社製
・ポリウレタン(HDI系):ウレタンエマルジョン、商品名WLA404、DIC社製、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネートとポリオールとしてのポリプロピレングリコールとジメチロールプロピオン酸とによって得られるウレタンプレポリマーのエマルジョン、重量平均分子量150,000
・EVA(エチレン30%):エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合樹脂のエマルジョン、エチレン含有量30質量%、酢酸ビニル含有量70質量%、商品名 スミカフレックス400HQ、住友化学社製、重量平均分子量45万
・EVA(エチレン50%):エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合樹脂のエマルジョン、エチレン含有量50質量%、酢酸ビニル含有量50質量%、商品名 スミカフレックス410HQ、住友化学社製、重量平均分子量55万
・EVA(エチレン60%):エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合樹脂のエマルジョン、エチレン含有量60質量%、酢酸ビニル含有量40質量%、商品名 スミカフレックス408HQ、住友化学社製、重量平均分子量40万
・DEG:ジエチレングリコール(凍結防止剤)、和光純薬工業社製
・Gly:グリセリン(凍結防止剤)、和光純薬社製
・1,3-PG:1,3-プロパンジオール、和光純薬社製
これに対して、サンプル1、2、6-13、16、17、21-23、25、27、29、31、33(実施例)は、貯蔵安定性に優れる。またサンプル1、2、6、7、11、21はシール性能に優れた。
また、サンプル1、2、6-13、16、17、21-23、25、27、29、31、33(実施例)のタイヤパンクシール材は、上記の振動試験及びパンクシール性の評価試験のあと、泡立ちがほとんどなく、処理が容易で作業性に優れた。
Claims (15)
- ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンと、凍結防止剤とを含有するタイヤパンクシール材であって、
前記ラテックス及び/又は前記エマルジョンが、固形分として、少なくともポリマー及び/又は有機化合物(前記ポリマーを除く。)を含み、
前記固形分の量が、当該タイヤパンクシール材全量中の20~65質量%であり、
前記固形分の比重と、当該タイヤパンクシール材中の水と前記凍結防止剤との混合物の比重との差が±0.1以内である、タイヤパンクシール材。 - 界面活性剤を添加しない、又は、更に界面活性剤を添加し前記添加された界面活性剤の量が前記固形分100質量部に対して0.5質量部以下である請求項1に記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
- 前記凍結防止剤が、エチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール、ジエチレングリコール、グリセリン及び1,3-プロパンジオールからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種である請求項1又は2に記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
- 前記水と前記凍結防止剤の質量比が20:80~50:50である、請求項1~3のいずれかに記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
- 前記固形分の比重が、0.82~1.15である請求項1~4のいずれかに記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
- 前記水と前記凍結防止剤との混合物の比重が、0.95~1.15である請求項1~5のいずれかに記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
- 前記エマルジョンが合成樹脂エマルジョンである請求項1~6のいずれかに記載のタイヤパンクシール材。

- 前記ポリマーが、天然ゴム、ウレタン樹脂、アクリル樹脂、ポリオレフィン、ポリ酢酸ビニル、ポリ塩化ビニル、エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体及びエチレン-酢酸ビニル-バーサチック酸ビニル共重合体からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種である請求項1~10のいずれかに記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
- 前記エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体が有する酢酸ビニル含有量が、前記エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体中の55質量%以下である請求項11に記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
- 前記ウレタン樹脂が、芳香族系ポリイソシアネートと芳香族系ポリオールとイオン性官能基を有するポリオールとを用いて形成される化合物である請求項11又は12に記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
- 前記固形分の比重が1以下のラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンと、前記固形分の比重が1を超えるラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンとを含有する請求項1~13のいずれかに記載のタイヤパンクシール材。
- ラテックス及び/又はエマルジョンと凍結防止剤とのみを含有するタイヤパンクシール材であって、
