Abstract

L'invention porte sur un catalyseur d'oxydation de gaz d'échappement de diesel, qui est conçu pour purifier du gaz d'échappement provenant d'un moteur diesel, comprenant : un support à base d'alumine dans lequel la teneur en alumine est supérieure ou égale à 40 % en masse; du Pt supporté sur le support à base d'alumine; du Pd supporté sur le support à base d'alumine; et au moins un type d'élément ajouté qui est choisi dans le groupe constitué par les éléments métaux alcalins et les éléments métaux alcalinoterreux et qui est supporté sur le support à base d'alumine. La quantité de Pt supportée est de 0,1 à 5 parties en masse pour 100 parties en masse du support à base d'alumine. Le rapport molaire obtenu par division de la quantité de Pd supportée par la quantité de Pt supportée est de 0,1 à 1,5. Le rapport molaire obtenu par division de la quantité d'élément ajouté supportée par la quantité de Pt supportée est de 1 à 12.
