1453710 Oxidation catalysts U O P INC 10 Dec 1973 [15 Dec 1972] 57057/73 Heading B1E [Also in Division Cl] Catalysts comprise a refractory inorganic oxide, 1-30 wt. % of Ca, Sr or Bu and 0.0025- 2.0 wt % of a mixture consisting of 20-90 wt % Pd and the remainder Pt. They may be made by impregnating the refractory oxide with a solution containing Pt and Pd compounds and preferably a polycarboxylic acid, reducing at 350- 950‹C, impregnating with a solution of a Ba, Sr or Ca compound, drying and reducing.
