Description
本発明は、太陽電池シートと調光シートとを備えたガラスパネル、及び太陽電池素子が備えられたガラス板と調光シートとを備えたガラスパネルに関する。
特許文献1には、調光ガラスと太陽電池とを備えた自動車用ルーフガラスパネル(以下、ガラスパネルという。)が開示されている。
特許文献1のガラスパネルは、光透過性の太陽電池ルーフガラスの車内側の面に調光ガラスが貼着されて構成されている。このガラスパネルによれば、車外側に配置された前記太陽電池ルーフガラスに太陽光が入射すると起電力が発生し、その電力が調光ガラスに供給されて、調光ガラスの光透過率が低下する。
前記太陽電池ルーフガラスは、車内側に位置する内板ガラスの上面に、第一の透明導電膜、アモルファスシリコン層、及び第二の透明導電層が順次積層され、この第二の透明導電層の上面に、車外側に位置する外板ガラスが、ポリビニルブチラール系の中間膜を介して一体化された合わせガラスである。
前記調光ガラスは、透明導電膜を有する2枚のガラス板を、前記透明導電膜が対向するように配置するとともに、2枚のガラス板の間にエレクトロクロミック素子(調光素子)を介在させることによって構成される。
また、特許文献1には、前記太陽電池ルーフガラスの、太陽電池の車内側電極に、調光素子を形成し、合わせガラスとして一体化してもよいことが開示されている。
すなわち、特許文献1には、外板ガラスと内板ガラスとの間に太陽電池が配置され、この太陽電池の車内側に調光ガラスが配置された構成のガラスパネルが開示されている。
特許文献1のガラスパネルの構成を、図を用いて説明すると、図5のガラスパネル1の各部材を離間して示した断面図の如く、外板ガラス2と内板ガラス3との間に太陽電池4が配置され、太陽電池4の車内側に調光ガラス5が配置されている。
しかしながら、特許文献1のガラスパネルは、光透過性の太陽電池4を透過した太陽光が調光ガラス5に直接照射されるため、調光ガラス5が太陽光の熱によって昇温するという問題がある。特に、盛夏時においては、調光ガラス5の温度が80~100℃近くまで昇温し、この状態で長時間放置しておくと、調光ガラス5の性能が低下するという問題があった。また、特に、調光ガラス5の調光素子が懸濁粒子デバイス(SPD:Suspended Particle Device)の場合には、懸濁粒子デバイスの耐久上限温度が90~100℃程度であるため、性能が早期に低下するおそれがあった。
本発明は、このような事情に鑑みてなされたもので、太陽光の熱から調光シートを保護して調光シートの昇温を抑制することができる太陽電池シート又は太陽電池素子が備えられたガラス板を有するガラスパネルを提供することを目的とする。
本発明は、前記目的を達成し得るものであり、以下を要旨とする。
本発明は、太陽光入射側の第1のガラス板と太陽光透過側の第2のガラス板との間に、前記第1のガラス板側から太陽電池素子と調光素子とが順次存在し、かつ、前記太陽電池素子と前記調光素子との間に熱反射素子が介在されていることを特徴とするガラスパネルにある。
本発明の一態様は、太陽光入射側の第1のガラス板と太陽光透過側の第2のガラス板との間に、前記第1のガラス板側から太陽電池シートと調光シートとが順次積層されており、前記太陽電池シートと前記調光シートとの間に熱反射シートが介在されていることを特徴とするガラスパネルにある。

本発明の一態様によれば、第1のガラス板及び太陽電池シートを介して入射した太陽光の赤外光は、熱反射シートによって前記太陽電池シートに向けて反射される。これにより、本発明の一態様によれば、太陽光の熱から調光シートを保護して調光シートの昇温を抑制できる。
本発明の一態様は、前記第1のガラス板と前記太陽電池シートとの間、前記太陽電池シートと前記熱反射シートとの間、前記熱反射シートと前記調光シートとの間、及び前記調光シートと前記第2のガラス板との間には、接着層となる1枚以上の中間膜がそれぞれ介在されていることが好ましい。
本発明の一態様によれば、第1のガラス板と太陽電池シートとが中間膜によって接着され、太陽電池シートと熱反射シートとが中間膜によって接着され、熱反射シートと調光シートとが中間膜によって接着され、調光シートと第2のガラス板とが中間膜によって接着された合わせガラス構成のガラスパネルを提供できる。また、それぞれの部材(第1のガラス板、太陽電池シート、熱反射シート、調光シート、及び第2のガラス板)同士の間に介在させる中間膜の枚数を調整することによって、ガラスパネルの厚さを容易に調整できる。
本発明の一態様は、前記第1のガラス板の主面は三次元曲面であり、前記第1のガラス板と前記太陽電池シートとの間、前記太陽電池シートと前記熱反射シートとの間には、複数枚の前記中間膜が介在されていることが好ましい。
本発明の一態様によれば、主面が三次元曲面の第1のガラス板と略平坦な太陽電池シートとの間の不規則な間隔の隙間を、複数枚の中間膜によって良好に封止できる。また、太陽電池シートと熱反射シートとの間にも複数枚の中間膜を介在させることによって、太陽電池シートの両面を複数枚の中間膜によって保護できる。
本発明の一態様は、前記目的を達成するために、太陽電池素子が備えられた太陽光入射側の第1のガラス板と太陽光透過側の第2のガラス板との間に調光シートが介在されており、前記第1のガラス板の前記太陽電池素子と前記調光シートとの間に熱反射シートが介在されていることを特徴とするガラスパネルにある。
本発明の一態様によれば、第1のガラス板に太陽電池素子が備えられた形態、すなわち、第1のガラス板と太陽電池素子とが一体化された形態であっても、本発明の目的を達成できる。
本発明の一態様は、前記第1のガラス板の前記太陽電池素子と前記熱反射シートとの間、前記熱反射シートと前記調光シートとの間、及び前記調光シートと前記第2のガラス板との間には、接着層となる1枚以上の中間膜がそれぞれ介在されていることが好ましい。
本発明の一態様は、前記第1のガラス板の主面は三次元曲面であり、前記第1のガラス板の前記太陽電池素子と前記熱反射シートとの間には、複数枚の前記中間膜による接着層が介在されていることが好ましい。
本発明の一態様によれば、中間膜として、特に、エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体樹脂から形成された膜を使用すると、オートクレーブによる加熱圧着処理が不要なので、設備コストを抑えることができる。また、エチレン酢酸ビニル樹脂共重合体は可塑剤を含まないため、中間膜から漏出した可塑剤に起因する問題、例えば、調光シートの調光層に可塑剤が浸入して調光層内部を劣化させるという問題は発生しない。
本発明の一態様は、前記ガラスパネルは、自動車用ルーフガラスパネルであり、前記第1のガラス板が自動車の車外側に配置され、前記第2のガラス板が前記自動車の車内側に配置されることが好ましい。
本発明の一態様によれば、自動車用ルーフガラスパネルに好適に利用できる。
本発明によれば、太陽光の熱から調光シートを保護して調光シートの昇温を抑制することができる太陽電池シート又は太陽電池素子が備えられたガラス板を有するガラスパネルを提供できる。
以下、添付図面に従って本発明に係るガラスパネルの好ましい実施の形態について説明する。
図1は、自動車用ルーフガラスパネルに適用された第1の実施の形態のガラスパネル10の全体斜視図である。図2は、図1に示したガラスパネル10を構成する各部材を離間して示したガラスパネル10の組み立て斜視図である。図3は、図2に示したガラスパネル10の縦断面を模式的に示した説明図である。
まず、ガラスパネル10の基本構成について説明する。
〔ガラスパネルの基本構成〕
図2、図3に示すようにガラスパネル10は、主として太陽光入射側の外板ガラス(第1のガラス板)12、光透過性の太陽電池シート14、熱反射シート16、調光シート18、及び太陽光透過側の内板ガラス(第2のガラス板)20から構成される。

すなわち、ガラスパネル10は、上記各部材12~20と6枚の中間膜22、22…とを備えた合わせガラスとして構成される。なお、ガラスパネル10が、不図示の車両のルーフ用開口部に組み付けられた際には、外板ガラス12が車外側に露出し、内板ガラス20が車内側に露出する。
〔外板ガラス、内板ガラス〕
ガラスパネル10の外板ガラス12及び内板ガラス20としては、通常のフロートガラスであっても、風冷強化又は化学強化が施された強化ガラスであってもよい。一例として外板ガラス12の厚さは1.8~3.9mmであり、内板ガラス20の厚さは0.5~2.5mmである。

〔中間膜〕
ガラスパネル10の接着層となる中間膜22としては、可撓性であり、耐貫通性に優れた合わせガラスに使われるポリビニルブチラール系の中間膜(以下、PVB系中間膜という。)、又はエチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体樹脂の中間膜(以下、EVA系中間膜という。)が好ましく使用できる。
ガラスパネル10の接着層となる中間膜22としては、可撓性であり、耐貫通性に優れた合わせガラスに使われるポリビニルブチラール系の中間膜(以下、PVB系中間膜という。)、又はエチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体樹脂の中間膜(以下、EVA系中間膜という。)が好ましく使用できる。
中間膜22は、各種厚さが揃っているため、厚さが同一又は厚さが異なる複数枚の中間膜22、22…を重ねることによって、ガラスパネル10の厚さを容易に調整でき、耐貫通性、耐衝撃性及び飛散防止性を得る利点がある。
特に、自動車用ルーフガラスパネルとして用いられるガラスパネル10は、外板ガラス12の主面が車両の天井面に沿った三次元曲面なので、基板シートがガラス製の平坦な太陽電池シート14と外板ガラス12との間には、不規則な間隔の隙間が発生する。その隙間を封止するには、1枚の中間膜22では困難であるが、厚さが同一又は厚さが異なる複数枚の中間膜22、22…(図2、図3では2枚)を重ね、これらを加熱溶着して接着層を形成すれば前記隙間を良好に封止できる。これに併せて、太陽電池シート14と熱反射シート16との間にも複数枚の中間膜22、22…(図2、図3では2枚)を介在させて接着層とすると、太陽電池シート14の両面が複数枚の中間膜22、22…による接着層によって保護されるので、太陽電池シート14の耐久性が向上する。
また、別の理由から、外板ガラス12と太陽電池シート14との間、太陽電池シート14と熱反射シート16との間、熱反射シート16と調光シート18との間、及び調光シート18と内板ガラス20との間に、複数枚の中間膜22、22…による接着層をそれぞれ介在させることが好ましい。ガラスパネル10の製造過程、及びガラスパネル10の使用環境で生じる、外板ガラス12と太陽電池シート14の熱膨張量の差、太陽電池シート14と熱反射シート16の熱膨張量の差、熱反射シート16と調光シート18の熱膨張量の差、及び調光シート18と内板ガラス20の熱膨張量の差を、接着層になる複数枚の中間膜22、22…の界面で吸収できるからである。
中間膜22による接着層の表面と、例えば太陽電池シート14の太陽電池セルとの界面で、熱膨張量の差を吸収しようとすると、セルよりも熱膨張量の大きい中間膜22によってセルに負荷がかかり、セルを損傷させるおそれがある。実施の形態では、熱膨張量の差を複数枚の中間膜22、22…の界面で吸収するため、セルを損傷させるような問題は生じない。
更に、ガラスパネル10の各部材12~20の積層時に、複数枚の中間膜22、22…の接着層が緩衝機能を発揮するので、各部材12~20の積層時に発生する各部材12~20の損傷を防止できる。複数枚の中間膜22、22…の積層作業は、複数枚の中間膜22、22…を単に重ねるだけなので容易である。一例として、中間膜22の厚さは0.1~1.0mmである。
なお、ガラスパネル10の小口が露出する場合は、接着層はPVB系中間膜よりも耐水性の高い(水の影響が少ない)EVA系中間膜が好ましい。また、EVA系中間膜はオートクレーブが不要である点で製造コスト的に有利であり、優れた接着性、透明性を有する。更に、EVA系中間膜は、外板ガラス12及び内板ガラス20が化学強化ガラスの場合に接着性がよく、外板ガラス12及び内板ガラス20に対して剥がれ難いという利点がある。
〔太陽電池シート〕
太陽電池シート14に備えられる太陽電池セルとしては、ガリウム・ヒ素、シリコン単結晶、シリコン多結晶、アモルファスシリコン、CIS、CIGSを例示できるが、光透過性の観点から、アモルファスシリコンのような透明性の高い半導体薄膜が好適である。

また、前記熱反射層による赤外線の反射率は、高ければ高いほど好ましいが、通常の熱反射率は40~50%程度である。この程度の熱反射率であっても、調光シート18の昇温を十分に抑制できる。一例として熱反射シート16の厚さは、0.01~0.20mmが好ましく、0.01~0.15mmがより好ましい。
〔調光シート〕
調光シート18としては多種多用のものが使用可能である。調光シート18の一つである懸濁粒子デバイス(SPD)は、透明導電層をコーティングした2枚のポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)フィルムの間に、配向粒子を分散させた数マイクロメータの液滴を配置し、電気信号の発信/停止によって粒子を配向させ、濃青色と透明との間で光の透過率を制御するものである。
調光シート18としては多種多用のものが使用可能である。調光シート18の一つである懸濁粒子デバイス(SPD)は、透明導電層をコーティングした2枚のポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)フィルムの間に、配向粒子を分散させた数マイクロメータの液滴を配置し、電気信号の発信/停止によって粒子を配向させ、濃青色と透明との間で光の透過率を制御するものである。
また、調光シート18として、2枚の透明基板の間に、エレクロトクロミック素子(調光素子)を備えた公知のもの、液晶素子(調光素子)を封入した公知のものも例示できる。一例として調光シート18の厚さは、0.2~0.8mmである。
〔ガラスパネルの製造方法〕
中間膜22としてPVB系中間膜を使用したガラスパネル10の製造方法は、各部材12~20と複数枚の中間膜22、22…とを積層した積層体を、真空バッグ内に封入し、130℃前後で予備加熱する。この後、予備加熱された前記積層体を、周知のオートクレーブを用いて100~150℃に加熱しながら加圧する。これによって、PVB系中間膜を使用したガラスパネル10が製造される。
中間膜22としてPVB系中間膜を使用したガラスパネル10の製造方法は、各部材12~20と複数枚の中間膜22、22…とを積層した積層体を、真空バッグ内に封入し、130℃前後で予備加熱する。この後、予備加熱された前記積層体を、周知のオートクレーブを用いて100~150℃に加熱しながら加圧する。これによって、PVB系中間膜を使用したガラスパネル10が製造される。
一方、中間膜22としてEVA系中間膜を使用したガラスパネル10の製造方法は、前記オートクレーブによる加熱圧着処理が不要である。すなわち、各部材12~20と複数枚の中間膜22、22…とを積層した積層体を真空バッグ内に封入し、例えば90℃程度の温水中に浸漬して加熱することにより製造される。
PVB系中間膜は、オートクレーブ処理が必要であることから、設備コストが増大するという問題がある。また、PVBには可塑剤が含まれているため、PVB系中間膜から漏出した可塑剤が、調光シート18の調光層(調光素子)に浸入して調光層内部を劣化させる場合がある。
これに対して、EVA系中間膜は、オートクレーブ処理が不要なので設備コストを抑えることができ、また、可塑剤を含まないため、可塑剤による前記問題も発生しないという利点がある。以上の理由から、中間膜22としてはEVA系中間膜を使用することが好ましい。
更に、EVA系中間膜は、ガラスパネル10の製造時における加熱温度の上限が100℃程度であるため、調光シート18として、高温域での耐久性が低い懸濁粒子デバイス(SPD)を使用できる利点がある。
次に、第1の実施の形態のガラスパネル10の主たる特徴について説明する。
〔ガラスパネルの特徴〕
第1の実施の形態のガラスパネル10は、太陽電池シート14と調光シート18との間に熱反射シート16が介在されている。このため、外板ガラス12、及び太陽電池シート14を介して入射した太陽光の赤外光は、熱反射シート16によって太陽電池シート14に向けて反射される。これにより、第1の実施の形態のガラスパネル10によれば、太陽光の熱から調光シート18を保護して調光シート18の昇温(たとえば、10~20℃)を抑制できる。
第1の実施の形態のガラスパネル10は、太陽電池シート14と調光シート18との間に熱反射シート16が介在されている。このため、外板ガラス12、及び太陽電池シート14を介して入射した太陽光の赤外光は、熱反射シート16によって太陽電池シート14に向けて反射される。これにより、第1の実施の形態のガラスパネル10によれば、太陽光の熱から調光シート18を保護して調光シート18の昇温(たとえば、10~20℃)を抑制できる。
また、第1の実施の形態のガラスパネル10は、外板ガラス12と太陽電池シート14との間、太陽電池シート14と熱反射シート16との間、熱反射シート16と調光シート18との間、及び調光シート18と内板ガラス20との間に、1枚以上の中間膜22がそれぞれ介在されている。
これにより、第1の実施の形態のガラスパネル10によれば、外板ガラス12と太陽電池シート14とが中間膜22によって接着され、太陽電池シート14と熱反射シート16とが中間膜22によって接着され、熱反射シート16と調光シート18とが中間膜22によって接着され、調光シート18と内板ガラス20とが中間膜22によって接着された合わせガラス構成のガラスパネルを提供できる。
図4は、第2の実施の形態のガラスパネル30の縦断面を模式的に示した説明図である。なお、ガラスパネル30を説明するに当たり、図1から図3に示したガラスパネル10と同一の部材については同一の符号を付し、その効果を含む説明も省略する。
図4に示すガラスパネル30は、太陽電池シート14を備えておらず、外板ガラス12の車内側面に太陽電池素子32が一体的に備えられたものである。すなわち、ガラスパネル30は、外板ガラス12の太陽電池素子32と調光シート18との間に熱反射シート16が介在されているものである。このようなガラスパネル30であっても、ガラスパネル10と同様の効果を得ることができる。
また、ガラスパネル30によれば、主面が三次元曲面である外板ガラス12の太陽電池素子32と熱反射シート16との間、熱反射シート16と調光シート18との間、及び調光シート18と内板ガラス20との間には、1枚以上の中間膜22がそれぞれ介在されている。この中間膜22の効果もガラスパネル10と同様である。また、太陽電池素子32としては、ガリウム・ヒ素、シリコン単結晶、シリコン多結晶、アモルファスシリコン、CIS、CIGSを例示できるが、光透過性の観点から、アモルファスシリコンのような透明性の高い半導体薄膜が好適である。
上記実施の形態では、本発明のガラスパネルとして、自動車用ルーフガラスパネルに適用されたガラスパネル10を例示したが、これに限定されるものではない。例えば、本発明のガラスパネルは、建築物の窓ガラス、航空機、鉄道車両、船舶等の窓ガラス、及び建築物の廊下、バルコニー、ベランダ等の採光位置にフェンスとして設置されるガラスパネルにも適用することができる。この場合、外板ガラス12を太陽光入射側に配置し、内板ガラス20を太陽光透過側に配置する。

Claims (9)
- 太陽光入射側の第1のガラス板と太陽光透過側の第2のガラス板との間に、前記第1のガラス板側から太陽電池素子と調光素子とが順次存在し、かつ、前記太陽電池素子と前記調光素子との間に熱反射素子が介在されていることを特徴とするガラスパネル。
- 太陽光入射側の第1のガラス板と太陽光透過側の第2のガラス板との間に、前記第1のガラス板側から太陽電池シートと調光シートとが順次積層されており、かつ、前記太陽電池シートと前記調光シートとの間に熱反射シートが介在されていることを請求項1に記載のガラスパネル。
- 前記第1のガラス板と前記太陽電池シートとの間、前記太陽電池シートと前記熱反射シートとの間、前記熱反射シートと前記調光シートとの間、及び前記調光シートと前記第2のガラス板との間には、接着層となる1枚以上の中間膜がそれぞれ介在されている請求項2に記載のガラスパネル。
- 前記第1のガラス板の主面は三次元曲面であり、
前記第1のガラス板と前記太陽電池シートとの間、前記太陽電池シートと前記熱反射シートとの間には、複数枚の前記中間膜が介在されている請求項3に記載のガラスパネル。 - 太陽電池素子が備えられた太陽光入射側の第1のガラス板と太陽光透過側の第2のガラス板との間に調光シートが介在されており、かつ、前記第1のガラス板の前記太陽電池素子と前記調光シートとの間に熱反射シートが介在されている請求項1に記載のガラスパネル。
- 前記第1のガラス板の前記太陽電池素子と前記熱反射シートとの間、前記熱反射シートと前記調光シートとの間、及び前記調光シートと前記第2のガラス板との間には、接着層となる1枚以上の中間膜がそれぞれ介在されている請求項5に記載のガラスパネル。
- 前記第1のガラス板の主面は三次元曲面であり、
前記第1のガラス板の前記太陽電池素子と前記熱反射シートとの間には、複数枚の前記中間膜が介在されている請求項6に記載のガラスパネル。 - 前記中間膜は、エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体樹脂である請求項3、4、6又は7に記載のガラスパネル。
- 前記ガラスパネルは、自動車用ルーフガラスパネルであり、前記第1のガラス板が自動車の車外側に配置され、前記第2のガラス板が前記自動車の車内側に配置される請求項1から8のいずれか1項に記載のガラスパネル。
