Description

車両用シート
 本発明は、シートクッションと、シートクッションに対して相対回動するシートバックとを有する車両用シートに係り、特に、回動しているシートクッションに他の可動部材を連動させるためのリンク機構を備える車両用シートに関する。
 シートクッションと、シートクッションに対して相対回動するシートバックとを有する車両用シートはよく知られており、その中には、回動しているシートバックに他の可動部材、例えば、シートクッションの位置調整機構を連動させるためのリンク機構を備えるシートがある。また、リンク機構を備える車両用シートの中には、他の可動部材をシートクッションに連動させるために回動する回動体を構成要素として備えているものも存在する。かかる構成の車両用シートにおいて、上記の回動体は、回動状態のシートバックに押されることで所定方向に回動する。一方、回動体は、ワイヤやギア輪列等によって他の可動部材と繋がっている。このため、回動体が回動すると、その回動動作が駆動力として利用され、この結果、他の可動部材が動くようになる。
 ところで、車両用シートにおいて上記の回動体を支持する態様としては、シートクッションの側面とシートバックの側面とを連結するプレート部材に軸が設けられ、当該軸に上記の回動体が回動自在に支持される構成が考えられる(例えば、特許文献1参照)。
 特許文献1に記載された構成では、シートバックの側面に突起が設けられ、プレート部材には、シートバックの回動経路に沿う貫通孔が形成されている。シートバックの側面に設けられた突起は、上記の貫通孔に係合しており、その先端部が貫通孔から幾分突き出た状態で配置されている。かかる状態でシートバックが回動すると、シートバックの側面に設けられた突起が、上記のプレート部材に形成された貫通孔に沿って動き、その途中で回動体に当接する。その後、シートバックが更に回動し、上記の突起が貫通孔の一端に向けて更に動くと、回動体に上記の突起の先端部が押し当たり、この結果、回動体がシートバックと連動して同一の回動方向に回動するようになる。

 しかしながら、特許文献1に記載された構成では、シートバックの回動動作を回動体に伝えるために、シートバックの側面に突起を設けるとともに、シートクッションの側面とシートバックの側面とを連結するプレート部材に、上記の突起が係合することになる。つまり、プレート部材には貫通穴が形成されるので、その分プレート部材が大型化してしまい、この結果、車両用シートが大型化してしまうことになる。車両用シートが大型化してしまうと、車両内のシート設置位置に関する自由度が小さくなるとともに、製造コストにも影響が及んでしまう。
 また、特許文献1に記載の車両用座席には、上記の回動部材としてのヒンジブラケットが設けられている。このヒンジブラケットが回動すると、シートクッションに対するロックが解除されてシートクッションが前方へ移動可能となる結果、シートクッションを収納位置まで移動させることが可能となる。ただし、上記の回動部材が設けられることにより、車両用シートが大型化してしまうことが懸念される。特に、特許文献1に記載の車両用座席では、車両用シートの幅方向においてシートクッションの両端部にヒンジブラケットが取り付けられているが、かかる構造では、車両用シートの幅方向において車両用シートが大型化してしまう可能性がある。
 そこで、本発明は、上記の課題に鑑みてなされたものであり、その目的とするところは、回動状態のシートバックに他の可動部材を連動させる際にシートバックに押されて回動する回動体を備える車両用シートにおいて、サイズの大型化を抑制することが可能なシート構造を実現することにある。
 また、本発明の他の目的は、シート本体を収納するために回動する回動部材を備える車両用シートにおいて、その幅方向に大型化してしまうのを抑制することである。
 前記課題は、本発明の車両用シートによれば、シートクッションと、該シートクッションに対して相対回動するシートバックと、前記シートクッションに向かって倒れる方向に回動している前記シートバックに他の可動部材を連動させるためのリンク機構と、を備える車両用シートであって、前記シートバックと前記シートクッションとは、前記車両用シートの幅方向において前記シートバック及び前記シートクッションの脇に配置された連結部材によって連結され、前記リンク機構は、前記シートクッションに向かって倒れる方向に回動している前記シートバックに前記他の可動部材を連動させるために回動する回動体を有し、該回動体は、前記幅方向において前記連結部材と隣り合い、前記シートクッションに向かって倒れる方向に回動している前記シートバックに押されることで回動し、前記回動体のうち、前記シートバックに押される部分は、前記幅方向から見たときに前記連結部材の外縁よりも外側に位置することにより解決される。
 上記の車両用シートでは、シートバックとシートクッションとを連結する連結部材の外縁よりも外側で、回動体がシートバックに押されるようになっている。したがって、連結部材の外縁よりも内側でシートバックが回動体を押す場合に必要となる上述の貫通孔が不要となる。これにより、貫通孔が形成されない分、連結部材をよりコンパクトにすることが可能である。ゆえに、上記の構成であれば、車両用シートが大型化してしまうのを効果的に抑制することが可能になる。
 また、上記の構成において、前記回動体は、前記連結部材が前記幅方向の外側に備える外表面に沿うように配置された第1壁部と、該第1壁部の外縁部と隣接する位置から前記外表面に向かって延出した第2壁部と、を備え、前記回動体のうち、前記シートバックに押される部分は、前記第2壁部に設けられており、前記第2壁部は、少なくとも前記第1壁部の外縁部中、前記回動体の回動軸を囲む部分と隣接する位置に備えられていると好適である。
 以上の構成では、回動体のうち、シートバックに押される部分については、その近傍が折れ曲がっているので剛性が比較的高くなっている。このように、シートバックに押される部分の剛性が比較的高くなっているので、回動体に対するシートバックの押圧が安定的になされるようになる。さらに、第1壁部の外縁部のうち、回動体の回動軸の周辺に位置する部分と隣接するように第2壁部が備えられているので、回動体が良好に回動できる。この結果、シートバックの回動を他の可動部材に適切に伝えることが可能となる。
 また、上記の構成において、前記回動体は、前記幅方向から見たときに屈曲した形状となっていると好適である。この場合、特に、前記回動体の中央部は、前記回動体の回動軸に支持され、前記回動体の一端部は、前記回動体のうち、前記シートバックに押される部分を含み、前記回動体の他端部には、前記回動体と前記他の可動部材とを繋げるために敷設された中継部材が取り付けられており、前記回動体が前記シートバックに押されていない状態では、前記回動体の一端部及び他端部が、前記中央部よりも、前記中継部材を前記回動体の他端部に取り付ける際に前記中継部材を引き込む方向の上流側に位置していると一層好適である。
 以上の構成では、回動体が屈曲していない形状、すなわち、直線状に伸びた形状となっている場合に比較して車両用シートを小型化することが可能になる。具体的に説明すると、回動体が屈曲していれば、回動体が直線状に伸びている場合に比して、回動体が回動する際の軌跡(より具体的には、回動体が通過する範囲の面積)が小さくなる。したがって、回動体が屈曲していれば、回動体が直線状に伸びている場合に比して、回動体が回動するうえで確保すべきスペースが小さくなるので、車両用シートがより小型化する。
 また、上記の構成において、前記回動体のうち、前記シートバックに押される部分は、前記回動体の一端部に含まれ、前記回動体の一端部は、前記幅方向から見たときに前記連結部材の外縁よりも外側にはみ出ており、前記連結部材は、前記幅方向の外側に備える外表面と、該外表面の外縁部と隣接する位置から前記幅方向の外側に向かって延出した連結部材側延出部と、を有し、該連結部材側延出部は、前記外表面の外縁に沿って設けられており、前記外表面の外縁のうち、前記回動体が回動した際に前記回動体の一端部が通過する範囲の少なくとも一部には、前記連結部材側延出部が欠けていると好適である。
 以上の構成では、連結部材の外側外表面の外縁のうち、回動体が回動した際に回動体の一端部が通過する範囲に連結部材側延出部がないため、当該連結部材側延出部が意図せず回動体に衝突して回動体の回動に支障を来すのを効果的に回避することが可能になる。
 また、上記の構成において、前記回動体の中央部は、前記回動体の回動軸に支持され、前記回動体の一端部には、前記シートクッションに向かって倒れる方向に回動している前記シートバックが前記回動体を押す際の向きとは反対向きに前記回動体を付勢する付勢部材が取り付けられ、前記回動体の他端部には、前記回動体と前記他の可動部材とを繋げるために敷設された中継部材が取り付けられていると好適である。
 以上の構成であれば、回動体を付勢する付勢部材と、回動体と他の可動部材とを繋げる中継部材とが、回動体のうち、互いに反対側の端部に取り付けられているので、各部材を合理的に配置し、特に回動体周りのスペースを有効利用することが可能になる。
 また、上記の構成において、前記シートバックは、前記幅方向外側に張り出した張り出し部を備え、前記シートバックが前記シートクッションに向かって倒れる方向に回動することにより、該張り出し部が前記回動体との当接位置へ移動して前記回動体を押すようになり、前記連結部材は、前記幅方向の外側に備える外表面と、該外表面の外縁部と隣接する位置から前記幅方向の外側に向かって延出した連結部材側延出部と、を有し、該連結部材側延出部の一部は、前記張り出し部の移動範囲の前端に位置し、前記張り出し部と当接して前記シートバックが前記シートクッションに向かって倒れる方向に更に回動するのを規制すると好適である。
 以上の構成であれば、シートバックの回動量を規制する部品を別途設ける必要がなく、シートバックの回動を規制するための構造がより簡素化される。
 また、上記の構成において、前記連結部材は、前記幅方向の外側に備える外表面と、該外表面の外縁部と隣接する位置から前記幅方向の外側に向かって延出した連結部材側延出部と、を有し、前記回動体を前記他の可動部材に繋げるために敷設された中継部材を、保持するための保持部が、前記連結部材側延出部の一部を切り欠くことによって形成されていると好適である。
 以上の構成によれば、中継部材を保持するための部品を別途設ける必要がなく、中継部材を保持するための構造がより簡素化される。
 また、上記の構成において、前記連結部材は、前記幅方向において前記連結部材と前記シートバックとの間に設けられたリクライニング機構に接合されることにより、該リクライニング機構を介して前記シートバックに取り付けられており、前記連結部材の前記リクライニング機構との接合箇所は、前記幅方向から見たときに少なくとも3箇所以上あり、前記回動体の回動軸は、前記幅方向から見たときに前記接合箇所によって囲まれる範囲内に配置されていると好適である。
 以上の構成によれば、連結部材のうち、リクライニング機構との接合箇所によって囲まれている部分では他の部分に比較して剛性が高くなっている。このように剛性が高くなった部分に回動体の回動軸が設けられるので、回動体の支持状態をより安定化させることが可能になる。
 また、上記の構成において、乗員が着座する前記シートクッションを有し、収納可能なシート本体と、前記シートクッションに取り付けられ、前記シート本体の収納時に前記シートクッションを収納位置へ移動させるために前記シート本体の幅方向に沿う回動軸周りに回動する回動部材と、を更に備え、前記回動部材は、前記シートクッションの下部に位置し、前記幅方向における前記シートクッションの中央部に取り付けられていると、好適である。
 以上の構成であれば、車両用シートの幅方向においてシートクッションが配置されている範囲内に回動部材が収まるようになる。つまり、上記の構成の車両用シートにおいて、回動部材は、上記幅方向の両端よりも外側に突出しないように配置される。したがって、上記の構成により、回動部材を備えながらも上記幅方向における車両用シートの大型化を抑制することが可能となる。
 また、上記の構成において、前記幅方向における前記シートクッションの中央部には、前記幅方向において互いに離れた状態で複数の前記回動部材が取り付けられており、前記幅方向に延びて、複数の前記回動部材の間を連結する回動部材連結部が設けられ、前記シートクッションは、前記シート本体の前後方向における前端部と後端部との間に隙間が形成されたシートクッションフレームと、前記隙間内に配置され、前記シートクッションフレームの前端部と後端部との間を連結したフレーム側連結体と、を備え、前記回動部材連結部は、前記幅方向において前記フレーム側連結体が配置された位置を跨ぐように配置されていると、好適である。
 また、上記の構成において、シートクッションフレームのうち、フレーム側連結体が配置されている位置にある部分では剛性が他の部分よりも高くなっている。そして、フレーム側連結体が配置されている位置を跨るように回動部材連結部が配置されているので、回動部材連結部に取り付けられた回動部材に対する、回動部材連結部の取り付け剛性が向上することになる。
 また、上記の構成において、複数の前記回動部材の各々は、前記回動軸である下側回動軸周りに回動する下側回動部材片と、前記下側回動軸に沿う連結軸を介して前記下側回動部材片と連結し、前記連結軸周りに回動する上側回動部材片と、を備えており、前記シートクッションフレームの下方位置に固定されており、前記下側回動軸周りを介して前記下側回動部材片を回動自在に支持する下側支持部材と、前記シートクッションフレームに固定され、前記連結軸に沿う上側回動軸を介して前記上側回動部材片を回動自在に支持する上側支持部材と、が設けられており、前記シート本体の収納時、前記下側回動部材片が前記下側回動軸周りに後方へ回動するとともに前記上側回動部材片が前記連結軸周りに前方へ回動することにより前記シートクッションが前記収納位置へ移動し、前記シートクッションが前記収納位置に到達すると、前記上側支持部材が前記下側支持部材に当接すると、より好適である。
 上記の構成では、回動部材片を支持する支持部材が回動部材片の回動量を規制するストッパとしても機能する。これにより、回動部材片を支持する部材と、回動部材片の回動量を規制する部材とが別々に設けられている構成と比較して、部品点数を削減することが可能になる。
 また、上記の構成において、前記上側支持部材に備えられた前記下側支持部材との当接面、及び、前記下側支持部材に備えられた前記上側支持部材との当接面のうち、少なくとも一方には凹凸が形成されていると、さらに好適である。
 上記の構成では、当接面に凹凸が形成されている側の支持部材の剛性が向上するため、支持部材同士が当接した際に生じる衝撃によって支持部材が変形等してしまうのを抑制することが可能になる。
 また、上記の構成において、複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記上側回動部材片のうち、前記幅方向において最も一端側に位置する前記上側回動部材片は、複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記下側回動部材片のいずれよりも前記幅方向の一端側に位置し、複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記上側回動部材片のうち、前記幅方向において最も他端側に位置する前記上側回動部材片は、複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記下側回動部材片のいずれよりも前記幅方向の他端側に位置すると、より一層好適である。
 上記の構成では、複数の上側回動部材片が上側支持部材を介してシートクッションフレームを支持している。かかる構成において、車両用シートの幅方向において最も端に位置する上側回動部材片が下側回動部材片よりも外側に位置していれば、シートクッションフレームの支持位置のうち、幅方向において最も一端側に位置する支持位置と、最も他端側に位置する支持位置との間の間隔がより長くなる。この結果、シートクッションフレームを含むシートクッションをより安定的に支持することが可能になる。
 また、上記の構成において、前記下側支持部材のうち、前記幅方向における一端側にある端面は、複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記下側回動部材片のいずれよりも前記幅方向の一端側に位置し、前記下側支持部材のうち、前記幅方向において他端側にある端面は、複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記下側回動部材片のいずれよりも前記幅方向の他端側に位置すると、より好適である。
 上記の構成であれば、下側支持部材のうち、車両用シートの幅方向において最も端に位置する部分が下側回動部材片のいずれよりも外側に位置していれば、車両用シートの幅方向において下側支持部材が幾分幅広な構造となる。これにより、下側回動部材片、及び、下側回動部材片の上方に位置して下側回動部材片に間接的に支持されるシートクッションをより安定的に支持することが可能になる。
 また、上記の構成において、前記幅方向における前記シートクッションの中央部には、前記幅方向において互いに離れた状態で一対の前記回動部材が取り付けられており、前記連結軸は、一対の前記回動部材のうち、一方の前記回動部材における前記上側回動部材片と前記下側回動部材片との連結部から、他方の前記回動部材における前記上側回動部材片と前記下側回動部材片との連結部まで延出しており、前記上側回動部材片及び前記下側回動部材片の双方を、前記シート本体が収納される前の前記双方の位置に戻すために前記双方を付勢する渦巻きバネが備えられ、該渦巻きバネは、前記連結軸に巻き付いた状態で配置されていると、好適である。
 上記の構成であれば、連結軸周りのスペースを有効利用して渦巻きバネを配置するので、車両用シートの大型化をより効率的に抑制することが可能になる。
 さらに、上記の構成において、前記幅方向における前記回動部材連結部の両端部には、該両端部と交差した状態の前記下側回動部材片及び前記上側回動部材片が取り付けられており、前記渦巻きバネは、前記幅方向において前記回動部材連結部の両端部の間に位置し、前記下側回動部材片の間に挟まれ、かつ、前記上側回動部材片の間に挟まれた状態で配置されていると、より一層望ましい。
 上記の構成であれば、回動部材片同士の間のスペースを有効利用して渦巻きバネを配置するので、車両用シートの大型化を更に効率的に抑制することが可能になる。
 また、上記の構成において、前記シート本体を固定するために前記シートクッションの下方位置に設けられ、前記幅方向に離間して複数設けられたシート固定部材と、前記幅方向において前記シート固定部材の間を連結するシート側連結部材と、を備え、前記下側支持部材は、前記シート側連結部材に固定されていると、好適である。
 上記の構成であれば、シート固定部材間を連結するシート側連結部材の剛性が比較的高いことを利用してシート側連結部材に下側支持部材を固定するので、下側支持部材に対する取り付け剛性が向上する。
 また、上記の構成において、複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記上側回動部材片のうち、前記幅方向において最も一端側に位置する前記上側回動部材片は、複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記下側回動部材片のいずれよりも前記幅方向の一端側に位置し、複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記上側回動部材片のうち、前記幅方向において最も他端側に位置する前記上側回動部材片は、複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記下側回動部材片のいずれよりも前記幅方向の他端側に位置すると、より好適である。
 上記の構成であれば、シートの幅方向において最も一端側に位置する上側回動部材片と、シートの幅方向において最も一端側に位置する上側回動部材片と、の間隔がより広くなる。これにより、上記2つの上側回動部材片によって支持されるシートクッションは、より安定的に支持されることとなる。
 本発明の車両用シートによれば、大型化してしまうのを効果的に抑制することが可能になる。
 また、本発明の車両用シートによれば、シートバックの回動を他の可動部材に適切に伝えることが可能となる。
 また、本発明の車両用シートによれば、回動体が直線状に伸びている場合に比して、回動体が回動するうえで確保すべきスペースが小さくなるので、車両用シートがより小型化する。
 また、本発明の車両用シートによれば、連結部材側延出部が意図せず回動体に衝突して回動体の回動に支障を来すのを効果的に回避することが可能になる。
 また、本発明の車両用シートによれば、回動体周りの各部材を合理的に配置し、特に回動体周りのスペースを有効利用することが可能になる。
 また、本発明の車両用シートによれば、シートバックの回動量を規制する部品を別途設ける必要がなく、シートバックの回動を規制するための構造がより簡素化される。

 以下では、本発明の一実施形態(以下、本実施形態とも言う)に係る車両用シートについて図面を参照しながら説明する。
 図1は、本実施形態に係る車両用シートの外観図である。図2乃至4は、本実施形態に係る車両用シートの収納動作の一例を説明する図であり、具体的には、図2が、車両用シートが起立した状態を示す図であり、図3が、車両用シートが収納途中にある状態を示す図であり、図4が、車両用シートが収納された状態を示す図である。
 図5乃至7は、車両用シート収納時においてシートクッションを動かす駆動機構の動作例を説明する図である。具体的に説明すると、図5は、シートクッションの駆動機構の、作動前の状態を示す図であり、図2中の範囲Xについての拡大図である。図6は、シートクッションの駆動機構の、作動中の状態を示す図であり、図3中の範囲Xについての拡大図である。図7は、シートクッションの駆動機構の、作動完了時の状態を示す図であり、図4中の範囲Xについての拡大図である。

 なお、以下の説明において、車両用シート及びシート本体の前後方向とは、車両の前後方向であり、車両の走行方向と一致する。また、車両用シート及びシート本体の幅方向とは、車両の幅方向(以下、車幅方向とも言う)であり、車両前方を向いた状態での左右方向に相当する。さらに、以下では、特に断る場合を除き、各部材の位置や姿勢等について車両用シートが起立状態にあるときの内容にて説明する。
 本実施形態に係る車両用シート(以下、単にシートという)Sは、例えば、車両の後部座席として搭載されており、図1に示すように、シート本体Hと、フット機構Fとを有する。フット機構Fは、シート本体Hを車体フロアに対して固定するために設けられたものであり、シート本体Hの下方位置に位置するフレーム体F1を備える。このフレーム体F1が車体フロアに固定されると、フレーム体F1上に載置されるシート本体Hが車体フロアに固定されることになる。
 また、シート本体Hは、乗員が着座するシートクッションH1と、乗員を背側で支持するシートバックH2と、乗員の頭部を支持するヘッドレストH3とを構成要素として備える。シートクッションH1、シートバックH2及びヘッドレストH3の各々の構造については、公知であり、例えば、シートクッションH1は、図11に図示されたシートクッションフレーム1上に不図示のクッション体を載置することによって構成されている。
 また、図11に示すように、シートクッションフレーム1の前端部は、後述する駆動ユニット10を介してフレーム体F1に取り付けられる。シートクッションフレーム1の後端部は、フレーム体F1の後端部に溶接された取り付けブラケット11に支持されている。より具体的に説明すると、第1取り付けブラケット11は、フレーム体F1の上端よりも上側に突出した部分を有し、当該部分に車幅方向に沿う回動軸13が取り付けられている。そして、シートクッションフレーム1の後端部が、上記の回動軸13を介して第1取り付けブラケット11に回動自在に支持されている。
 また、シートクッションフレーム1のうち、シートSの前後方向における前端部と後端部の間には、隙間が形成されている。この隙間内には、図11に示すフレーム側連結体102が配置されている。このフレーム側連結体102は、シートクッションフレーム1の前端部と後端部との間を連結するものであり、本実施形態ではワイヤからなり、前後方向に延びている。そして、フレーム側連結体102の前端部が、シートクッションフレーム1の前端部に溶接されており、フレーム側連結体102の後端部がシートクッションフレーム1の後端部に溶接されている。また、フレーム側連結体102は、シートSの幅方向において一定間隔毎に配置されており、特に、本実施形態では、3つ配置されている。
 シートバックH2は、図11に示すように、そのフレーム中に一対のサイドフレーム2を備えている。この一対のサイドフレーム2は、互いに車幅方向に離れた状態でシートバックH2中に設けられている。そして、サイドフレーム2の下端部は、フレーム体F1の後端部に溶接された第2取り付けブラケット12に取り付けられている。より具体的に説明すると、第2取り付けブラケット12は、第1取り付けブラケット11から張り出して上方に延出している。一方、シートバックH2のサイドフレーム2は、第2取り付けブラケット12の上端よりも幾分上方に位置している。そして、第2取り付けブラケット12の上端部と、サイドフレーム2の下端部との間に連結ブラケット20が配置される。
 連結ブラケット20は、本発明における連結部材に相当し、車幅方向において第2取り付けブラケット12及びサイドフレーム2の脇に位置し、第2取り付けブラケット12とサイドフレーム2の間を連結している。より詳細に説明すると、連結ブラケット20の下端部は、第2取り付けブラケット12の上端部にボルト止めされている。他方、連結ブラケット20の上端部は、サイドフレーム2と連結ブラケット20の間に設けられたリクライニング機構3を介して、サイドフレーム2の下端部に取り付けられている。
 なお、リクライニング機構3は、シートバックH2を回動可能な状態で支持するためにサイドフレーム2の下端部に取り付けられており、その構造は公知のリクライニング機構とほぼ同様である。つまり、リクライニング機構3は、シートバックH2を回動させる際に駆動する不図示のリクライニング機構本体と、当該リクライニング機構本体を収容する有底円筒状のハウジング3aを有する。
 以上のように連結ブラケット20が、車幅方向においてシートバックH2及びシートクッションH1の脇に配置された状態でサイドフレーム2及び第2取り付けブラケット12に取り付けられる。これにより、連結ブラケット20は、サイドフレーム2を含むシートバックH2と、第2取り付けブラケット12に回動自在に支持されたシートクッションH1とを連結する。
 ところで、本実施形態に係るシートSは、収納可能に構成されており、使用時には図2に示すような起立状態にあり、不使用時には図4に示すように折り畳まれて収納状態となる。
 より具体的に説明すると、シートSが起立状態にあるとき、シート本体Hも起立状態となる。かかる状態では、シートクッションH1及びシートバックH2が車幅方向から見て略L字状をなし、ヘッドレストH3がシートバックH2よりも上方に位置して起立している。このとき、シートクッションH1は、図2に示す使用位置に位置する。使用位置にあるとき、シートクッションH1は、その前端部が後端部よりも幾分上方に位置した姿勢となっており、フット機構Fのフレーム体F1よりも幾分上方に位置して当該フレーム体F1から離れている。
 一方、シートSが収納される際には、シート本体Hも収納状態となる。かかる状態では、図3に示すように、シートバックH2が前方に倒れる向きにシートクッションH1に対して相対回動し、ヘッドレストH3がシートバックH2の上端部前方に回り込むようにシートバックH2に対して相対回動する。また、シートクッションH1が、使用位置から図4に示す収納位置に向かって移動する。シートクッションH1は、収納位置に至ると、その前端部及び後端部が略同じ高さに位置した姿勢となり、使用位置に位置していたときよりもフット機構Fのフレーム体F1に幾分近付くようになる。
 最終的に、シートSが完全に収納状態に移行すると、図4に示すように、シートバックH2がシートクッションH1の上に折り重ねられ、ヘッドレストH3がシートクッションH1の前方位置に配置されるようになる。
 以上のようにシートSを収納するにあたり、シート本体Hの各部、すなわち、シートクッションH1、シートバックH2、ヘッドレストH3が動作し、図2に示す状態から図3及び4に示す状態に遷移する。なお、シートSの収納を開始するための操作として、乗員は、シート本体Hに設けられた不図示の操作部を操作することになる。
 さらに、本実施形態では、乗員が操作部を操作すると、その操作力によって先ずシートバックH2がシートクッションH1に向かって前側に倒伏するように回動し、これに追従するようにヘッドレストH3及びシートクッションH1の各々が動作する。
 具体的に説明すると、本実施形態では、シートクッションH1及びヘッドレストH3の各々に対して駆動ユニット10が設けられている。この駆動ユニット10は、本発明における他の可動部材に相当し、シートクッションH1に向かって倒れる方向に回動しているシートバックH2に連動することで、シートクッションH1及びヘッドレストH3のうち、対応する部材をシート収納時の位置に向けて移動させるものである。
 そして、本実施形態では、回動するシートバックH2に上記の駆動ユニットを連動させるためのリンク機構30が設けられている。より具体的に説明すると、リンク機構30は、シートバックH2が前方へ倒伏するように回動した際に生じる駆動力を、シートクッションH1用の駆動ユニット10、及び、ヘッドレストH3用の駆動ユニット(不図示)にそれぞれ伝達する。
 以下の説明では、上述したリンク機構30に関する説明として、シートバックH2側からシートクッションH1用の駆動ユニット10へ駆動力を伝達する構成について説明する。一方、シートバックH2側からヘッドレストH3用の駆動ユニットへ駆動力を伝達する構成については、シートバックH2側からシートクッションH1用の駆動ユニット10へ駆動力を伝達する構成と略同様であるため、説明を省略することとする。なお、ヘッドレストH3用の駆動ユニットについては、シートバックH2の回動を利用してヘッドレストH3を動作させる公知のユニットが利用可能であり、例えば、日本国出願公開第2010-105655号公報に記載された機構が利用可能である。
 先ず、シートクッションH1用の駆動ユニット10について説明すると、駆動ユニット10は、シートクッションH1の下方位置に配置され、屈伸自在に構成されている。より具体的に説明すると、駆動ユニット10は、図5乃至7に示すように、ヒンジ状の機器であり、上端部10aがシートクッションフレーム1の前端部に回動自在に支持されており、下端部10bがフット機構Fのフレーム体F1の前端部に回動自在に支持されている。
 また、駆動ユニット10の上下方向中央部、すなわち、駆動ユニット10が屈曲する際の起点に該当する部分には、駆動力伝達ケーブルCの一端部が掛けられている。さらに、図11に示すように、ヒンジ軸10cには渦巻きバネ10dが巻き付いている。この渦巻きバネ10dは、駆動ユニット10の上端部10a及び下端部10bの各々の所定部位を付勢している。かかる付勢力によって、駆動ユニット10は、外力が作用していない限り伸展状態で保持されることになる。
 以上のように構成された駆動ユニット10は、シートSの使用時には図5に示すように伸展状態で保持される。一方、シートSが収納され始めると、図6に示すように、駆動力伝達ケーブルCの、駆動ユニット10に掛けられている側の端部が後方に牽引される。これにより、駆動ユニット10は、その上下方向中央部が後側に引かれる結果、渦巻きバネ10dの付勢力に抗して横向きV字状に屈曲するようになる。かかる駆動ユニット10の屈曲動作に伴い、駆動ユニット10の上端部に取り付けられたシートクッションH1が使用位置から収納位置に向かって移動するようになる。
 駆動ユニット10は、その上端部及び下端部がそれぞれの支持軸周りに回動しながら屈曲する結果、最終的には図7に示すように完全に折り畳まれた姿勢になる。かかる状態に至ると、シートクッションH1は、前述した収納位置に到達するようになる。
 ところで、上述した駆動ユニット10の屈曲動作は、駆動力伝達ケーブルCのうち、駆動ユニット10に掛けられた側の端部が後方に牽引されることを端緒として開始される。つまり、本実施形態に係るリンク機構30は、構成要素の一つとして駆動力伝達ケーブルCを有し、シートバックH2が前方に倒れるようにシートクッションH1に対して相対回動したときに駆動力伝達ケーブルCの一端部、具体的には駆動ユニット10に掛けられている側の端部を後方に牽引するような構成となっている。
 以下、本実施形態に係るリンク機構30の構成について詳しく説明する。
 本実施形態に係るリンク機構30は、図8乃至14に示すように、上述した駆動力伝達ケーブルCの他、L字状ブラケット4と、伝達部材31とを有している。L字状ブラケット4は、本発明の張り出し部に相当し、サイドフレーム2の外側表面の下端部に溶接された板金部材である。このL字状ブラケット4は、図12に示すように、シート前方から見たときに略L字状の外形形状となっており、サイドフレーム車幅方向外側に幾分張り出した部分(以下、延出部分)4aを備えている。そして、シートバックH2が回動する際には、L字状ブラケット4がシートバックH2と一体的に回動する。
 伝達部材31は、本発明の回動体に相当し、シートバックH2に駆動ユニット10を連動させるために回動する部材である。この伝達部材31は、板金を加工することにより形成され、車幅方向から見たときに略V字状に屈曲した形状となっている。伝達部材31は、その中央部31eが伝達部材31の回動軸32に支持されており、図9及び10に示すように、シートクッションH1に向かって倒れる方向に回動しているシートバックH2に一端部31cが押されることにより回動する。
 より具体的に説明すると、回動軸32は、前述した連結ブラケット20のうち、車幅方向における外側端面から延出しており、伝達部材31の中央部に形成された孔に挿入される。これにより、伝達部材31は、車幅方向において連結ブラケットと隣り合う位置に配置されたうえで回動軸32に回動自在に支持される。ここで、図13に示すように、回動軸32に支持された伝達部材31中、シートバックH2に押される側の端部、すなわち一端部31cは、車幅方向から見たときに、連結ブラケット20の外縁よりも外側にはみ出ている。
 そして、シートバックH2がシートクッションH1に向かって倒れる方向に回動すると、図14に示すように、連結ブラケット20の外縁よりも外側にはみ出た伝達部材31の一端部31cに、上述のL字状ブラケット4が後方から当接する。つまり、シートバックH2の回動に伴い、L字状ブラケット4が伝達部材31との当接位置へ移動して、伝達部材31の一端部31cを延出部分4aにて押すようになる。これにより、伝達部材31は、連結ブラケット20の外縁よりも外側にはみ出た一端部31cが前側に倒れるように回動する。
 なお、本実施形態では、シートバックH2が伝達部材31を押すために備える部分が、L字状に屈曲したL字状ブラケット4により構成されているため、伝達部材31を押す部分の剛性については、当該部分がL字状に屈曲していない場合に比して高くなる。この結果、本実施形態ではシートバックH2が伝達部材31を良好に押せるようになっている。
 以上のように、本実施形態では、回動体としての伝達部材31を回動させるために、伝達部材31の一端部31c、すなわち、シートバックH2に押される部分が、連結ブラケット20の外縁よりも外側に位置している。つまり、連結ブラケット20の外縁よりも外側で伝達部材31がシートバックH2に押されるようになっている。このような構成であるため、本実施形態では、連結ブラケット20をよりコンパクトにすることが可能となる。
 分かり易く説明すると、連結ブラケット20の外縁よりも内側でシートバックH2が伝達部材31を押す構成では、連結ブラケット20に貫通孔が設けられて、当該貫通孔に上記のL字状ブラケット4の延出部分4aが挿入されるようになる。また、上記の貫通孔は、L字状ブラケット4がシートバックH2と一体的に回動する際の経路に沿って形成される必要がある。このため、連結ブラケット20に貫通孔が設けられる場合には、当該貫通孔の形成スペースを確保するために連結ブラケット20のサイズをより大きくする必要がある。
 これに対して、本実施形態では、連結ブラケット20の外縁よりも外側で伝達部材31がシートバックH2に押されるので、上記の貫通孔が不要となり、貫通孔が形成されない分、連結ブラケット20をよりコンパクトにすることが可能になる。この結果、本実施形態では、シートSの大型化が効果的に抑制されることになる。
 本実施形態に係る伝達部材31の構造について更に詳しく説明すると、伝達部材31にはフランジ加工が施されており、図14に示すように、伝達部材31の外縁全周に亘ってフランジ部31aが形成されている。換言すると、本実施形態に係る伝達部材31は、連結ブラケット20が車幅方向外側に備えた端面(外表面に相当。以下外側端面ともいう。)に沿うように配置された外壁部31bと、外壁部31bの外縁部と隣接する位置から連結ブラケット20の外側端面に向かって内側に延出したフランジ部31aとを備える。ここで、外壁部31bは、本発明の第1壁部に相当し、フランジ部31aは、本発明の第2壁部に相当する。
 そして、本実施形態では、図14に示すように、伝達部材31のうち、一端部31cの後側に形成されたフランジ部31aにL字状ブラケット4の延出部分4aが当接する。すなわち、本実施形態では、伝達部材31のうち、シートバックH2に押される部分がフランジ部31aに設けられている。換言すると、伝達部材31の一端部31cは、伝達部材31のうち、シートバックH2に押される部分を含んでいる。このような構成では、伝達部材31のうち、シートバックH2に押される部分については、その近傍が折れ曲がっているので剛性が比較的高くなっている。そして、シートバックH2に押される部分の剛性が比較的高くなっている結果、伝達部材31に対するシートバックH2の押圧が安定的になされるようになる。
 さらに、フランジ部31aは、外壁部31bの外縁全周に亘って形成されているので、当然ながら、外壁部31bの外縁部中、回動軸32を囲む部分と隣接する位置にもフランジ部31aが備えられていることになる。このように、少なくとも外壁部31bの外縁部のうち、回動軸32の周辺に位置する部分と隣接するようにフランジ部31aが備えられていれば、伝達部材31が良好に回動できるようになるので、シートバックH2の回動を駆動ユニット10に適切に伝えることが可能となる。
 一方、図11に示すように、伝達部材31の他端部31dには、駆動力伝達ケーブルCの、駆動ユニット10側の端部とは反対側の端部が掛けられている。つまり、駆動力伝達ケーブルCは、本発明の中継部材に相当し、伝達部材31と駆動ユニット10とを繋げるために敷設されている。そして、伝達部材31がシートバックH2に押されて回動すると、駆動力伝達ケーブルCが掛けられた伝達部材31の他端部31dが後方移動するようになる。この結果、駆動力伝達ケーブルCが後方に牽引され、駆動ユニット10に駆動力が伝達されて屈曲動作を開始するようになる。
 図8乃至10を参照しながら説明すると、本実施形態において、駆動力伝達ケーブルCは、駆動力を伝達するインナケーブルCiと、インナケーブルCiの外側を被覆するアウタケーブルCoと、アウタケーブルCoの端部に設けられるアウタケーシングChとを有して構成されている。また、インナケーブルCiの両端部は、アウタケーシングChから突出してケーブルエンドCaを形成している。
 以上のような構成の駆動力伝達ケーブルCが、駆動ユニット10と伝達部材31との間に敷設されている。なお、本実施形態では2つの系統の駆動力伝達ケーブルCが敷設されており、一方の系統の駆動力伝達ケーブルCは、上述のように、シートクッションH1用の駆動ユニット10と伝達部材31との間に敷設されたものである。他方の系統の駆動力伝達ケーブルCは、図示しないヘッドレストH3の駆動ユニットと伝達部材31との間に敷設されたものである。以下の説明では、シートクッションH1用の駆動ユニット10と伝達部材31との間に敷設された駆動力伝達ケーブルCのみを説明することとする。
 駆動力伝達ケーブルCのうち、インナケーブルCiの一端側に形成されたケーブルエンドCaは、駆動ユニット10の上下方向中央部に係合される。一方、インナケーブルCiの他端側に形成されたケーブルエンドCaは、伝達部材31のうち、シートバックH2に押される側とは反対側にある他端部31dに係合される。ここで、インナケーブルCiを伝達部材31に繋ぎ込むうえで、駆動力伝達ケーブルCがシートSの前後方向に沿って引き込まれ、図13に示すように、前側から伝達部材31の端部に取り付けられる。つまり、本実施形態において、シートSの前後方向における前側は、駆動力伝達ケーブルCを伝達部材31の端部に取り付ける際に駆動力伝達ケーブルCを引き込む方向における上流側に相当する。
 一方、伝達部材31については、前述したように、車幅方向から見たときに屈曲した構造になっている。そして、伝達部材31がシートバックH2に押されていない状態では、図13に示すように伝達部材31の一端部31c及び他端部31dが中央部31eよりも前側に位置するようになる。このような構成により、本実施形態では、シートSをよりコンパクト化することが可能となる。具体的に説明すると、上記の如く伝達部材31が屈曲していれば、伝達部材31が直線状に伸びている場合に比して、伝達部材31が回動する際の軌跡、より具体的には、伝達部材31が通過する範囲の面積が小さくなる。したがって、伝達部材31が屈曲していれば、伝達部材31が直線状に伸びている場合に比して、伝達部材31が回動するうえで確保すべきスペースが小さくなるので、シートSがより小型化することになる。
 なお、本実施形態では、インナケーブルCiの端部に形成されたケーブルエンドCaを係合させるための係合孔が、図14に示すように、伝達部材31のフランジ部31a及び外壁部31bのうち、外壁部31bに形成されている。これは、外壁部31bでは、フランジ部31aと比較して、上記の係合孔を穿つためのスペースを確保し易いからである。また、フランジ部31aに係合孔を穿つ場合、フランジ部31aが車幅方向に広がりを有する必要があるのに対し、外壁部31bに係合穴を穿つ場合には外壁部31bが車幅方向に広がっている必要はない。したがって、本実施形態では、伝達部材31が車幅方向への広がるのを抑え、シートSの更なるコンパクト化が実現される。
 また、本実施形態では、前述したように、伝達部材31のうち、シートバックH2に押される側とは反対側の端部、すなわち他端部31dに駆動力伝達ケーブルCが取り付けられる。一方、図13及び14に示すように、伝達部材31のうち、シートバックH2に押される側と同じ側の端部、すなわち、一端部31cには、コイルバネ33の端部が係止されている。
 コイルバネ33は、本発明の付勢部材に相当し、車幅方向において伝達部材31と連結ブラケット20との間に位置している。より具体的に説明すると、伝達部材31の回動軸32にコイルバネ33が巻き付いている。また、コイルバネ33の一端部は、連結ブラケット20に固定されており、コイルバネ33の他端部は、鉤状に折り曲げられたうえで伝達部材31の一端部31cに引っ掛けられている。
 以上のようなコイルバネ33は、シートクッションH1に向かって倒れる方向に回動しているシートバックH2が伝達部材31を押す際の向きとは反対向きに、伝達部材31を付勢する。このコイルバネ33の付勢力により、伝達部材31の一端部31cは、後側に倒れるように付勢されて、連結ブラケット20に設けられたホームポジション規定部21に当接するようになる。ここで、ホームポジション規定部21とは、図8乃至10及び図12乃至14に示すように、連結ブラケット20の最上部に設けられており、幅方向外側に向かって延出した舌状突起である。このホームポジション規定部21に一端部31cが当接した状態にあるとき、伝達部材31は、通常位置すなわち、ホームポジションに位置する。
 なお、伝達部材31の、ホームポジション規定部21との当接位置とは、図8に図示された伝達部材31の位置であり、伝達部材31のホームポジションである。つまり、伝達部材31は、シートバックH2に押されていない状態では、コイルバネ33の付勢力によってホームポジション規定部21との当接位置に保持される。一方、シートバックH2に押されるようになると、伝達部材31は、コイルバネ33の付勢力に抗して、一端部31cが前方に倒れる向きに回動するようになる。
 そして、本実施形態では、伝達部材31の一端部31cにコイルバネ33が取り付けられ、伝達部材31の他端部31dに駆動力伝達ケーブルCが取り付けられる。このようにコイルバネ33と駆動力伝達ケーブルCが、伝達部材31のうち、互いに反対側の端部に取り付けられているので、各部材を合理的に配置し、特に伝達部材31周りのスペースを有効利用することが可能になる。また、コイルバネ33の付勢力が伝達部材31を回転させようとする際の回転向きと、駆動力伝達ケーブルCを牽引する際に伝達部材31が回転する際の回転向きとは、互いに反対向きであるため、コイルバネ33の取り付け箇所と、駆動力伝達ケーブルCの取り付け箇所とは、極力離れている方が望ましい。かかる点において、上述したコイルバネ33及び駆動力伝達ケーブルCの各々の取り付け態様は好適なものである。
 さらに、本実施形態において、車幅方向におけるコイルバネ33の両端は、L字状ブラケット4の延出部分4aの両端位置よりも内側にあり、L字状ブラケット4がシートバックH2と共に前方に回動する際の回動範囲、の内側に収まるように配置されている。換言すると、L字状ブラケット4の延出部分4aは、車幅方向において、コイルバネ33の外側の端よりも外側に張り出している。これにより、例えばコイルバネ33の脇に配置された部材が意図せずコイルバネ33に側方から当接してコイルバネ33と干渉するのを抑制することが可能となる。
 次に、連結ブラケット20の構成について説明する。
 連結ブラケット20は、車幅方向から見て略扇形の形状をした板金部材であり、前述したように、シートバックH2とシートクッションH1とを連結する機能を有する。本実施形態において、連結ブラケット20は、上記の機能の他に、伝達部材31、コイルバネ33及び駆動力伝達ケーブルCを支持する機能を有する。
 具体的に説明すると、連結ブラケット20の、車幅方向外側の端面からは、伝達部材31の回動軸32が延出しており、連結ブラケット20は、回動軸32を介して伝達部材31を回動自在に支持している。これにより、伝達部材31は、車幅方向において連結ブラケット20と隣り合う位置に配置される。また、本実施形態において、伝達部材31は、図15に示すように、連結ブラケット20の外縁に沿って形成された後述のフランジ部25よりも車幅方向外側に配置されている。
 なお、本実施形態では、連結ブラケット20の、車幅方向内側の端面にリクライニング機構3のハウジング3aが接合されている。より詳しく説明すると、連結ブラケット20には、リクライニング機構3のハウジング3aから突出した複数の突起3bが嵌合する孔が形成されており、当該孔に突起3bが嵌合して溶接固定されることにより、連結ブラケット20がリクライニング機構3のハウジング3aが接合される。このように、本実施形態において連結ブラケット20は、リクライニング機構3のハウジング3aに接合されることにより、リクライニング機構3を介してシートバックH2に取り付けられるようになる。
 そして、本実施形態では、図13及び図14に示すように、連結ブラケット20のリクライニング機構3との接合箇所、すなわち、上記の突起3bが連結ブラケット20に形成された孔に嵌合して溶接されている箇所が、車幅方向から見たときに4箇所ある。また、本実施形態では、回動軸32が設けられた位置から見て、上下及び前後に略等距離だけ離れた位置に上記接合箇所が存在する。換言すると、回動軸32は、車幅方向から見たときに上記の接合箇所によって囲まれる略方形状の範囲内に配置されている。このような構成では、連結ブラケット20のうち、リクライニング機構3との接合箇所によって囲まれている部分の剛性が、他の部分の剛性が高くなっており、当該部分に伝達部材31の回動軸32が設けられるので、伝達部材31の支持状態をより安定化させることが可能になる。
 なお、本実施形態では、連結ブラケット20が4箇所の接合箇所にてリクライニング機構3に接合されていることとしたが、当該接合箇所については少なくとも3箇所以上あればよい。そして、連結ブラケット20のうち、接合箇所によって囲まれる範囲内に回動軸32を設けることにより、上記の効果が得られるようになる。
 また、コイルバネ33は、上記の回動軸32に巻き付いており、一端部が伝達部材31に係止されており、他端部が連結ブラケット20に固定されている。さらに、駆動力伝達ケーブルCについては、図14及び15に示すように、連結ブラケット20の前方部に、アウタケーシングChを保持するための保持部22が形成されている。保持部22の構成については後述する。
 以上のような機能を有する連結ブラケット20の構造について説明すると、車幅方向から見て、逆さ台形状の下側部23と、略半円状の上側部24とによって連結ブラケット20が構成されている。また、連結ブラケット20をなす板金にはフランジ加工がなされており、連結ブラケット20の外縁のうち、一部の範囲を除く範囲に沿って、車幅方向外側に突出したフランジ部25が形成されている。すなわち、本実施形態に係る連結ブラケット20は、車幅方向外側に備える端面と、当該端面の外縁部と隣接する位置から車幅方向外側に向かって延出したフランジ部25とを備えている。ここで、フランジ部25は、本発明の連結部材側延出部に相当する。
 フランジ部25について詳しく説明すると、連結ブラケット20の下側部23の外縁のうち、上側部24と隣り合う部分を除く範囲の略全域に亘ってフランジ部25が形成されている。また、図11に示すように、下側部23側に形成されたフランジ部25のうち、前方に位置し上下方向において下側部23の中央部に位置する部分については、他の部分に比較して、車幅方向外側に幾分多く突出している。この幾分多く突出している部分には、略円穴状の切り欠きが形成されている。
 そして、上記略円穴状の切り欠きに、駆動力伝達ケーブルCのアウタケーシングChが係合している。つまり、本実施形態では、フランジ部25の一部を切り欠き、当該切り欠きによって駆動力伝達ケーブルCを保持するための保持部22が形成されている。このような構成により、本実施形態では、駆動力伝達ケーブルCを保持するための部品を別途設ける必要がないので、駆動力伝達ケーブルCを保持するための構造がより簡素化されることになる。
 また、連結ブラケット20の下側部23の外縁のうち、上端に位置する部分は、図13に示すように、上側部24の前端よりも若干前側に突出しており、かかる部分にもフランジ部25が形成されている。この下側部23の外縁のうち、上端に位置し上側部24よりも前方に位置する部分に形成されたフランジ部25は、前後方向に沿って略水平に形成されている。そして、当該フランジ部25は、シートバックH2のサイドフレーム2に設けられたL字状ブラケット4がシートバックH2とともに前方に倒れる方向に回動した際にL字状ブラケット4の延出部分4aと当接する。これにより、シートバックH2は、シートクッションH1に向かって倒れる方向に更に回動することを規制されるようになる。
 つまり、本実施形態では、フランジ部25の一部が、L字状ブラケット4の移動範囲の前端に位置し、シートバックH2の回動中にL字状ブラケット4と当接してシートバックH2の更なる回動を規制する回動規制部26として機能する。このように本実施形態では、シートバックH2の回動量を規制する部品を別途設ける必要がないので、シートバックH2の回動を規制するための構造がより簡素化されることになる。
 フランジ部25について更に詳しく説明すると、連結ブラケット20の上側部24の外縁部のうち、前側半分にはフランジ部25が形成されておらず、後側半分にはフランジ部25が形成されている。ここで、上側部24の外縁部の後側半分に形成されたフランジ部25の中で、最も前側に位置する部分は、他の部分と比較して車幅方向外側に幾分多く突出している。この幾分多く突出している部分が、前述したホームポジション規定部21を構成しており、伝達部材31がシートバックH2に押されていない状態においてコイルバネ33の付勢力により後側に倒れる方向に回動する伝達部材31の一端部31cと当接する。
 一方、前述したように、連結ブラケット20の上側部24の外縁部のうち、前側半分にはフランジ部25が形成されていない。ここで、連結ブラケット20の上側部24の外縁部のうち、フランジ部25が形成されていない範囲と、伝達部材31が回動した際に伝達部材31の一端部31cが通過する範囲とは、大部分で重なっている。したがって、本実施形態では、伝達部材31が回動した際に伝達部材31の一端部31cが意図せずフランジ部25に衝突して伝達部材31の回動に支障を来すのを効果的に回避することが可能になる。かかる効果について図8乃至10を参照しながらより詳しく説明する。
 回動軸32に支持された状態の伝達部材31を車幅方向から見ると、図8に示すように、伝達部材31の一端部31cの末端部のみが連結ブラケット20の上側部24の外縁をはみ出ており、伝達部材31の残りの部分は、連結ブラケット20の外縁よりも内側に位置している。そして、伝達部材31がシートバックH2に押されていない状態、すなわち、ホームポジションに位置した状態では、伝達部材31の一端部31cが、連結ブラケット20の上側部24の外縁部のうち、フランジ部25が設けられていない範囲内に位置している。より具体的に説明すると、当該フランジ部25が設けられていない範囲中、最も後側に位置する領域に伝達部材31の一端部31cが位置する。
 そして、伝達部材31がシートバックH2に押されて回動するようになると、図9に示すように、伝達部材31の一端部31cが上記のフランジ部25が設けられていない範囲に沿って移動する。やがて、シートバックH2の回動が上述の回動規制部26によって規制されるようになると、伝達部材31は、図10に示すように、上記のフランジ部25が設けられていない範囲を超えて、フランジ部25のうち、上記の回動規制部26をなす部分と対向するようになる。より具体的に説明すると、伝達部材31の一端部31cが、幅方向において回動規制部26の外側に位置し、回動規制部26と並ぶようになる。
 以上のように、本実施形態では、連結ブラケット20の外側端面の外縁のうち、伝達部材31が回動した際に伝達部材31の一端部31cが通過する範囲の大部分についてはフランジ部25が形成されていない。このため、フランジ部25が意図せずに伝達部材31に衝突して伝達部材31の回動に支障を来すのを効果的に回避することが可能になる。
 なお、本実施形態では、図15に示すように、伝達部材31が、連結ブラケット20に形成されたフランジ部25よりも車幅方向外側に配置されているが、伝達部材31が連結ブラケット20の外側端面に近付くほど、上記の効果が有意義に奏されるようになる。つまり、伝達部材31の配置位置が車幅方向において連結ブラケット20側に近付くほど、伝達部材31がフランジ部25と干渉し易くなる。かかる構成において、伝達部材31が回動した際に伝達部材31の一端部31cが通過する範囲のうち、少なくとも一部についてフランジ部25が設けられていなければ、伝達部材31とフランジ部25との干渉を効果的に抑えることが可能になる。
 また、本実施形態では、L字状ブラケット4の延出部分4aがフランジ部25のうち、回動規制部26をなす部分に当接してシートバックH2の回動が規制された時点で、伝達部材31の一端部31c及び他端部31dは、連結ブラケット20と当接することはない。但し、これに限定されるものではなく、例えば、フランジ部25の中で後側に位置する部分、特に、下側部23の外縁部の後側上方部に形成された部分が、他の部分に比較して車幅方向外側に幾分多く突出して伝達部材31に当接することとしてもよい。そして、シートバックH2の回動が規制された時点、すなわち、伝達部材31が図7に示す位置に至った時点で、フランジ部25のうち、後側で幾分多く突出した部分に伝達部材31の他端部31dが当接する構成であれば、伝達部材31の更なる回動をフランジ部25にて規制することが可能になる。
 以上までに説明してきた実施形態では、リンク機構30の機能によりシートバックH2に連動する他の可動部材として、シートクッションH1の駆動ユニット10を例に挙げたが、シートSに備えられた部材のうち、シート収納時に作動する部材、若しくは、当該部材を駆動するための駆動機構が他の可動部材として取り扱われる構成であってもよい。
 次に、本発明の他の実施形態として、前述の駆動ユニット10を改良したフットリンクユニット110を備える車両用シートSについて図16乃至23を参照しながら説明する。なお、以下では、本発明の他の一実施形態(以下、他の実施形態という)のうち、上述した実施形態と異なる点を中心に説明することとする。
 他の実施形態において、フット機構Fのフレーム体F1は、図17に示すように、前後方向に延出した一対のフットバー120と、フットバー120の前端部同士を連結する前側連結バー121と、フットバー120の後端部同士を連結する後側連結バー122と、フットリンクユニット110とを有している。ここで、フットバー120は、シート固定部材に相当し、前側連結バー121は、シート側連結部材に相当する。
 一対のフットバー120は、車幅方向において互いに平行となった状態で離間しており、一方のフットバー120は、シートSの幅方向におけるシートクッションフレーム1の一端部の下に配置され、他方のフットバー120は、シートクッションフレーム1の他端部の下に配置されている。また、各フットバー120の各々の前端部には、舌状のフット固定部120aが形成されており、このフット固定部120aがボルト等の締結手段によって車体フロアに固定されることで、フットバー120が車体に固定されることになる。なお、他の実施形態では、フット固定部120aを上方位置で覆うフットカバー120cがフット固定部120aに取り付けられている。
 また、各フットバー120の後端部には、フットバー120に対してシートクッションH1を取り付けるための取り付けブラケット11が設けられている。この取り付けブラケット11は、不図示の回動軸を支持しており、当該回動軸を介してシートクッションフレーム1の後端部を回動自在に支持している。このようにシートクッションフレーム1が取り付けブラケット11に支持されることによって、シートクッションH1がフットバー120に取り付けられている。
 前側連結バー121は、シートSの幅方向においてフットバー120の間を連結する角筒体であり、その端部が各フットバー120の前端領域に溶接されている。同様に、後側連結バー122は、シートSの幅方向においてフットバー120の間を連結する角筒体であり、その端部が各フットバー120の上面の後端領域に溶接されている。そして、前側連結バー121の中央部には、フットリンクユニット110が配置されている。このフットリンクユニット110は、シート本体Hの収納時に駆動力がシートバックH2側から伝達されることにより動作し、シートクッションH1を使用位置から収納位置に導くためのものである。
 具体的に説明すると、フットリンクユニット110は、図16及び17に示すように、上下方向において前側連結バー121とシートクッションフレーム1の前端部との間に介在し、前側連結バー121とシートクッションフレーム1の前端部との間を連結する。一方、フットリンクユニット110には、駆動力伝達ケーブルCの一端が掛けられている。この駆動力伝達ケーブルCは、フットリンクユニット110に掛けられている側とは反対側の端がシートバックH2側に掛けられている。
 そして、シートSの収納動作としてシートバックH2が前方に倒伏すると、駆動力伝達ケーブルCの、フットリンクユニット110に掛けられた方の端がシートバックH2側、すなわち、後方に牽引される。これにより、フットリンクユニット110が、シートクッションフレーム1の前端部を下方かつ後方に引き寄せるように動く。これに連動して、シートクッションフレーム1の後端部が後方に回動する。この結果、シートクッションH1が収納位置に位置するようになる。
 以下、フットリンクユニット110の構成例について詳細に説明する。
 フットリンクユニット110は、図17及び18に示すように、回動部材としてのリンク部材111を一対備えている。この一対のリンク部材111の各々は、シートSの幅方向において互いに離間しており、その上端部にてシートクッションH1、より厳密にはシートクッションフレーム1の前端部に取り付けられている。なお、リンク部材111の数については2個に限定されるものではなく、少なくとも1個以上あればよい。例えば、シートSの幅方向において一定間隔毎に3個以上のリンク部材111が設けられていることとしてもよい。
 そして、各リンク部材111は、シート本体Hの収納時、すなわち、シートSの収納時にはシートクッションH1を収納位置へ移動させるために、シートSの幅方向に沿う回動軸周りに回動する。
 より具体的に説明すると、各リンク部材111は、上下に二分割されており、上側に位置する上側リンク部材片112の上端部が、後述する上側支持部材131を介してシートクッションフレーム1の前端部に取り付けられている。一方、下側に位置する下側リンク部材片113の下端部が、後述する下側支持部材141を介して前側連結バー121に取り付けられている。ここで、上側リンク部材片112は、上側回動部材片に相当し、下側リンク部材片113は、下側回動部材片に相当する。また、各リンク部材片112、113は、樹脂材料又は金属からなる肉厚の平板により構成される。
 さらに、上側リンク部材片112の下端部と、下側リンク部材片113の上端部とは、各リンク部材片112、113が互いに相対回動可能な状態で連結している。ここで、上側リンク部材片112及び下側リンク部材片113のうちの一方が他方に対して相対回動する際の回動軸は、シートSの幅方向に沿っており、具体的には、後述する連結軸119である。
 以上のように構成されたリンク部材111は、シートSが起立状態にあるときには図19に示すように伸びた状態にある。このとき、リンク部材111の中央部、すなわち、上側リンク部材片112と下側リンク部材片113との連結部が、リンク部材111の上端部や下端部よりもやや前方に位置するようになっている。
 一方、シートSが収納され始めると、図20に示すように、リンク部材111の中央部、すなわち、上側リンク部材片112と下側リンク部材片113との連結部が後側に引かれて、リンク部材111が横向きV字状に屈曲するようになる。これは、前述した駆動力伝達ケーブルCの一端部がリンク部材111の中央部に掛けられており、シートSの収納時にシートバックH2の倒伏動作に連動して駆動力伝達ケーブルCの、リンク部材111に掛けられた方の端が後方に牽引されるためである。そして、駆動力伝達ケーブルCによって引かれるように各リンク部材片112、113が、シートSの幅方向に沿う回動軸周りに回動する。
 具体的に説明すると、下側リンク部材片113は、その下端部が下側回動軸104に回動自在に支持された状態にある。下側回動軸104は、回動軸に相当し、軸方向がシートSの幅方向に沿うように配置されている。一方、下側リンク部材片113の上端部には、前述したように、駆動力伝達ケーブルCの一端部が掛けられている。
 上側リンク部材片112は、図19に示すように、その上端部が上側回動軸105に回動自在に支持された状態にある。上側回動軸105は、軸方向がシートSの幅方向に沿うように配置されており、さらに、後述する連結軸119に沿うように配置されている。一方、上側リンク部材片112の下端部には、前述したように、駆動力伝達ケーブルCの一端部が掛けされている。また、上側リンク部材片112の下端部は、連結軸119に回動自在に支持されている。連結軸119は、上側リンク部材片112と下側リンク部材片113とを連結するための軸体であり、その軸方向は、シートSの幅方向に沿っている。
 連結軸119について詳細に説明すると、図18に示すように、連結軸119は、一対のリンク部材111の間に位置している。そして、連結軸119の軸方向両端部の各々に、各リンク部材111の中央部、すなわち、上側リンク部材片112と下側リンク部材片113との連結部がそれぞれ回動自在に支持されている。換言すると、連結軸119は、一対のリンク部材111のうち、一方のリンク部材111における上側リンク部材片112と下側リンク部材片113との連結部から、他方のリンク部材111における上側リンク部材片112と下側リンク部材片113との連結部まで延出している。また、連結軸119の軸方向端部は、かしめられて抜け止めを形成している。
 そして、シートSの収納時にシートバックH2の倒伏動作に連動して駆動力伝達ケーブルCの、リンク部材111に掛けられた方の端が後方に牽引されると、下側リンク部材片113は、その上端部が駆動力伝達ケーブルCによって後方に引かれるので、後方に倒れるように回動する。また、上側リンク部材片112は、その下端部が駆動力伝達ケーブルCによって後方に引かれるので、前方に倒れる向きで下側リンク部材片113に対して相対回動する。具体的に説明すると、上側リンク部材片112は、ハサミの刃と同じように、下側リンク部材片113に対して交差するように回動する。このとき、上側リンク部材片112は、上側回動軸105周りに回動する。これにより、上側リンク部材片112の上端部に取り付けられたシートクッションH1が、上側リンク部材片112に対して相対的に回動するように動作する。
 リンク部材111の各部、すなわち、上側リンク部材片112及び下側リンク部材片113が上記のように動作する結果、最終的には、図21に示すようにリンク部材111が完全に折れ曲るようになる。つまり、シート本体Hを収納するために実行される各リンク部材111の屈曲動作が完了する時点で、上側リンク部材片112及び下側リンク部材片113の各々は、上下方向において略同一位置にあり、車両の前後方向に沿って延出した姿勢となる。このような状態に至ることにより、シートクッションH1が収納位置に到達するようになる。
 ところで、前述したように、一対のリンク部材111の各々の上端部、より具体的には上側リンク部材片112の各々が、後述する上側支持部材131を介して、シートクッションフレーム1の前端部に取り付けられている。特に、他の実施形態では、上側リンク部材片112の各々が、シートクッションフレーム1の前端部のうち、シートSの幅方向における中央部に取り付けられている。かかる位置関係であれば、シートSの幅方向においてシートクッションH1が配置されている範囲内にリンク部材111が収まるようになる。つまり、各リンク部材111は、シートクッションH1の幅方向の両端よりも外側に突出しないように配置される。したがって、他の実施形態の構成により、リンク部材111が備えつつもシートSの大型化、特に、シートSの幅方向での大型化を抑制することが可能である。
 なお、図18乃至20に示すように、各リンク部材111では、上側リンク部材片112が下側リンク部材片113よりもシートSの幅方向の外側に位置している。換言すると、一対のリンク部材111の各々が備える上側リンク部材片112のうち、シートSの幅方向において最も一端側に位置する上側リンク部材片112は、一対のリンク部材111の各々が備える下側リンク部材片113のいずれよりもシートSの幅方向の一端側に位置する。同様に、シートSの幅方向において最も他端側に位置する上側リンク部材片112は、一対のリンク部材111の各々が備える下側リンク部材片113のいずれよりもシートSの幅方向の他端側に位置する。このような位置関係であれば、シートクッションフレーム1を含むシートクッションH1をより安定的に支持することが可能になる。
 より詳しく説明すると、各リンク部材111の上側リンク部材片112は、後述する上側支持部材131を介してシートクッションH1、特に、シートクッションフレーム1の前端部を支持する。かかる構成において、上側リンク部材片112と下側リンク部材片113との位置関係が上述した内容になっていれば、上側リンク部材片112がシートクッションフレーム1を支持する位置のうち、シートS幅方向において最も一端側に位置する位置と、最も他端側に位置する位置との間の間隔がより長くなる。この結果、シートクッションフレーム1を含むシートクッションH1が、各上側リンク部材片112によって安定的に支持されるようになる。
 さらに、他の実施形態では、上側リンク部材片112がシートクッションフレーム1を支持する位置がシートSの幅方向において、フレーム側連結体102が配置されている位置からずれており、具体的には、フレーム側連結体102の配置位置の間にある。このような位置関係により、上側リンク部材片112とフレーム側連結体102との干渉が抑制される。
 また、他の実施形態では、図19に示すように、一対のリンク部材111の間に回動部材連結部としての連結部材114が設けられている。この連結部材114は、シートSの幅方向に延びて、一対のリンク部材111の間を連結するものである。より具体的に説明すると、他の実施形態に係る連結部材114は、二分割されており、上側リンク部材片112同士を連結する上側連結部材115と、下側リンク部材片113同士を連結する下側連結部材116とにより構成される。
 上側連結部材115は、略平板状になっており、シートSの幅方向における上側連結部材115の両端位置には、上側リンク部材片112が上側連結部材115と直交するように立設されている。なお、他の実施形態では、一対の上側リンク部材片112と上側連結部材115とが一体成形されており略U字状をなしている。同様に、下側連結部材116は、略平板状になっており、シートSの幅方向における下側連結部材116の両端位置には、下側リンク部材片113が下側連結部材116と直交するように立設されている。また、他の実施形態では、一対の下側リンク部材片113と下側連結部材116とが一体成形されており略U字状をなしている。以上のような構造が採用される結果、他の実施形態では各リンク部材片112、113の剛性が確保されている。
 さらに、他の実施形態において連結部材114、厳密には、連結部材114を構成する上側連結部材115及び下側連結部材116は、図17及び18に示すように、シートSの幅方向においてフレーム側連結体102が配置された位置を跨ぐように配置されている。ここで、シートクッションフレーム1のうち、フレーム側連結体102が配置されている位置にある部分では、剛性が他の部分よりも高くなっている。他の実施形態では、フレーム側連結体102が配置されている位置を跨るように連結部材114が配置されているので、連結部材114に取り付けられたリンク部材111に対する、連結部材114の取り付け剛性が向上する。
 フットリンクユニット110は、図17及び18に示すように、上述のリンク部材111及び連結部材114の他に、上側支持部材131、下側支持部材141及び渦巻きバネ106を構成要素として有する。上側支持部材131は、各リンク部材111の上側リンク部材片112を支持するものであり、シートクッションフレーム1の前端部の下端面に固定されている。他の実施形態において、上側支持部材131は、上側回動軸105を介して各上側リンク部材片112を回動自在に支持する。
 上側支持部材131の構造について説明すると、図18に示すように、上側支持部材131は、シートSの幅方向において間隔を空けて並んでいる一対のリンク支持部132と、リンク支持部132の間に位置し下側支持部材141と対向する対向部133とを有している。一対のリンク支持部132の各々は、シートクッションフレーム1の前端部の下端面に溶接固定されており、シートクッションフレーム1の後端に向かって延出している。そして、リンク支持部132の後端部に上側回動軸105が取り付けられており、当該上側回動軸105に上側リンク部材片112の上端部が回動自在に支持される。つまり、リンク支持部132の後端部には、上側回動軸105を介して上側リンク部材片112が回動自在に支持される。
 なお、他の実施形態では、シートSの幅方向においてリンク支持部132の外側に上側リンク部材片112が配置される。すなわち、一対のリンク部材111の各々が備える上側リンク部材片112のうち、シートSの幅方向において最も一端側に位置する上側リンク部材片112は、一対のリンク支持部132のうち、シートSの幅方向の一端側に位置するリンク支持部132よりも幅方向一端側にある。同様に、シートSの幅方向において最も他端側に位置する上側リンク部材片112は、シートSの幅方向の他端側に位置するリンク支持部132よりも幅方向他端側にある。このような位置関係により、上側リンク部材片112がシートクッションフレーム1を支持する位置の間隔がより広がるので、シートクッションH1をより一層安定的に支持することが可能になる。
 対向部133は、略矩形板の形状となっており、シートクッションフレーム1の前端部の下方位置に配置され、シートSの幅方向に広がってリンク支持部132同士を連結している。対向部133の下面133aは、下側支持部材141と対向する対向面であり、シートSの収納時に各リンク部材111が完全に屈曲したときに下側支持部材141と当接する当接面に相当する。
 さらに、図18や19に示すように、対向部133の下面133aには凹凸が形成されている。より具体的に説明すると、図19に図示されているように、シートSの幅方向における下面133aの両端よりも幾分内側の位置に、シートクッションフレーム1側に凹むように形成された窪み133bが設けられている。このように下側支持部材141と当接する対向部133の下面133aに凹凸が形成されていることにより、上側支持部材131の剛性が向上するため、支持部材131、141同士が当接した際に生じる衝撃によって上側支持部材131が変形等してしまうのを抑制することが可能になる。
 下側支持部材141は、各リンク部材111の下側リンク部材片113を支持するものであり、他の実施形態では、下側回動軸104を介して各下側リンク部材片113を回動自在に支持する。この下側支持部材141は、前側連結バー121の中央部の上端面に固定されている。このように他の実施形態では、フットバー120間を連結する前側連結バー121の剛性が比較的高いことを利用して前側連結バー121に下側支持部材141を固定する。これにより、下側支持部材141に対する取り付け剛性が向上する。
 下側支持部材141の構造について説明すると、図18乃至21に示すように、下側支持部材141は、シートSの幅方向において間隔を空けて並んでいる一対のリンク支持部142と、リンク支持部142の間に位置し上側支持部材131と対向する対向部143とを有している。一対のリンク支持部142の各々は、前側連結バー121の中央部の上端面に溶接固定されており、後方に向かって延出している。そして、リンク支持部142の後端部に下側回動軸104が取り付けられており、当該下側回動軸104に下側リンク部材片113の下端部が回動自在に支持される。つまり、リンク支持部142の後端部には、下側回動軸104を介して下側リンク部材片113が回動自在に支持される。
 なお、他の実施形態では、シートSの幅方向においてリンク支持部142の内側に下側リンク部材片113が配置される。すなわち、下側支持部材141のうち、シートSの幅方向における一端側にあるリンク支持部142の端面(内側端面)は、複数のリンク部材111の各々が備える下側リンク部材片113のいずれよりもシートSの幅方向の一端側に位置する。また、下側支持部材141のうち、シートSの幅方向において他端側にあるリンク支持部142の端面(内側端面)は、複数のリンク部材111の各々が備える下側リンク部材片113のいずれよりもシートSの幅方向の他端側に位置する。このような位置関係により、シートSの幅方向において下側支持部材141が幾分幅広な構造となる。これにより、下側リンク部材片113、及び、下側リンク部材片113の上方に位置して下側リンク部材片113に間接的に支持されるシートクッションH1をより安定的に支持することが可能になる。
 対向部143は、略矩形板の形状となっており、前側連結バー121の中央部の上方位置に配置され、シートSの幅方向に広がってリンク支持部142同士を連結している。対向部143の上面143aは、上側支持部材131と対向する対向面であり、シートSの収納時に各リンク部材111が完全に屈曲したときに上側支持部材131と当接する当接面に相当する。なお、他の実施形態において、対向部143の上面143aは、上側支持部材131の対向部133の下面133aと異なり、凹凸が形成されていない平坦面となっている。
 ただし、対向する支持部材131、141との対向面に形成される凹凸については、上側支持部材131の対向部133の下面133a、及び、下側支持部材141の対向部143の上面143aのうち、少なくとも一方に形成されていればよく、例えば、下側支持部材141の対向部143の上面143aに凹凸が形成されていることとしてもよい。ここで、支持部材131、141のうち、シートSの幅方向においてリンク部材片112、113よりも外側にリンク支持部132、142を有する支持部材(他の実施形態では、上側支持部材131)の方が幅広である。このため、凹凸を形成しやすく、当該支持部材の当接面に凹凸を形成するのが望ましい。
 ところで、上側支持部材131及び下側支持部材141は、前述したように、シートSの収納時においてリンク部材111が完全に屈曲したときに図21に示すように互いに当接するようになる。ここで、リンク部材111が完全に屈曲したときとは、シートクッションH1が収納位置に到達したときのことである。他の実施形態では、シート本体Hを収納するために各リンク部材111を構成する各リンク部材片112、113が回動し、シートクッションH1が収納位置に到達した際には、上側支持部材131の下端面(対向部133の下面133a)と下側支持部材141の上端面(対向部143の上面143a)とが当接する。このように支持部材131、141同士が当接することにより、下側リンク部材片113に対する上側リンク部材片112の更なる相対回動が規制される。
 つまり、他の実施形態では、各支持部材131、141が対応するリンク部材片112、113を支持するとともに、リンク部材片112、113の回動量を規制するストッパとしても機能する。これにより、他の実施形態では、リンク部材片112、113を支持する部材とリンク部材片112、113の回動量を規制する部材とが別々に設けられている構成と比較して、部品点数を削減することが可能になる。
 なお、上側支持部材131及び下側支持部材141が互いに当接した時点、すなわち、シートクッションH1が収納位置に到達した時点で、図22に示すように、下側支持部材141のリンク支持部142の後端部の上方位置に、上側リンク部材片112の上端部、つまり、上側支持部材131に支持されている側の端部が位置するようになる。このとき、下側支持部材141のリンク支持部142の後端部と、上側リンク部材片112の上端部とは、上下方向に若干のクリアランスを設けて離間している。
 さらに、上側支持部材131及び下側支持部材141が互いに当接した時点で、図22に示すように、上側支持部材131のリンク支持部132の後端部の下方位置に、下側リンク部材片113の下端部、つまり、下側支持部材141に支持されている側の端部が位置するようになる。このとき、上側支持部材131のリンク支持部132の後端部と、下側リンク部材片113の下端部とは、上下方向に若干のクリアランスを設けて離間している。
 渦巻きバネ106は、各リンク部材111の上側リンク部材片112及び下側リンク部材片113の双方を、シート本体Hが収納される前の当該双方の位置に戻すために当該双方を付勢するものである。つまり、渦巻きバネ106は、各リンク部材111の姿勢を伸長した姿勢、すなわち、図19に図示した姿勢で保持するために各リンク部材111に付勢力を付与するものである。したがって、シート本体Hを収納するには、渦巻きバネ106の付勢力に抗して各リンク部材111を屈曲させる、換言すると、上側リンク部材片112及び下側リンク部材片113を回動させることになる。
 渦巻きバネ106の構成について説明すると、公知の渦巻きバネであり、その一端が上側連結部材115に係止されており、他端が下側連結部材116に係止されている。そして、渦巻きバネ106は、上側連結部材115を付勢することによって、上側連結部材115と一体をなす上側リンク部材片112を間接的に付勢する。より具体的に説明すると、渦巻きバネ106は、上側連結部材115のうち、シートクッションH1側に位置する部分を後方に向けて付勢する。この付勢力により、上側連結部材115及び上側リンク部材片112がやや後傾した姿勢となる。
 一方で、渦巻きバネ106は、下側連結部材116を付勢することによって、下側連結部材116と一体をなす下側リンク部材片113を間接的に付勢する。より具体的に説明すると、渦巻きバネ106は、下側連結部材116のうち、車体フロア側に位置する部分を後方に向けて付勢する。この付勢力により、下側連結部材116及び下側リンク部材片113がやや前傾した姿勢となる。
 上述した渦巻きバネ106の作用により、各リンク部材111は、駆動力伝達ケーブルCからの牽引力が掛からない限り、伸長した姿勢のままで維持されるようになる。この結果、シートクッションH1の位置が使用位置に保持されることになる。
 以上の機能を有する渦巻きバネ106は、図18に示すように、リンク部材111の間に配置された連結軸119の中央部に巻き付いた状態で配置されている。このように他の実施形態では、連結軸119周りのスペースを有効利用して渦巻きバネ106を配置するので、シートSの大型化をより効率的に抑制することが可能になる。
 ここで、連結軸119は、リンク部材111の中央部、すなわち、上側リンク部材片112と下側リンク部材片113との連結部に取り付けられている。一方で、上側リンク部材片112及び下側リンク部材片113は、連結部材114(具体的には、上側連結部材115及び下側連結部材116)の、シートSの幅方向における端部に取り付けられている。また、他の実施形態では、上側リンク部材片112及び下側リンク部材片113の各々は、シートSの幅方向における連結部材114の端部と交差している。つまり、他の実施形態では、一対の上側リンク部材片112と上側連結部材115が略U字状の構造となしており、同様に、一対の下側リンク部材片113と下側連結部材116が略U字状の構造をなしている。
 そして、他の実施形態では、リンク部材片112、113と対応する連結部材115、116がなしているU字状構造の内側に渦巻きバネ106が収まるように配置されている。換言すると、渦巻きバネ106は、シートSの幅方向において連結部材114(具体的には、上側連結部材115及び下側連結部材116)の両端部の間に位置し、一対の下側リンク部材片113の間に挟まれ、かつ、一対の上側リンク部材片112の間に挟まれた状態で配置されている。このようにリンク部材片112、113同士の間のスペースを有効利用して渦巻きバネ106を配置するので、シートSの大型化を更に効率的に抑制することが可能になる。
 以上までに説明してきた他の実施形態では、シートSが使用状態にあるときにフットリンクユニット110を前方から見ると、その大部分が露出するような構成になっている。ただし、これに限定されず、図23に示すように、フットリンクユニット110の前方位置にカバー部材150が設けられていることとしてもよい。なお、カバー部材150については、可動式の構成とし、フットリンクユニット110のリンク部材111が屈曲動作してシートクッションH1が収納位置に向かう際に、カバー部材150の下端部が上方に向かうように揺動できるとよい。かかる構成であれば、リンク部材111の動作にカバー部材150が干渉するのを抑えることが可能である。
 さらに、カバー部材150が弾性変形可能な材質からなり、リンク部材111が屈曲動作した際に湾曲するように変形できると、尚よい。かかる構成であれば、リンク部材111の動作にカバー部材150が干渉するのをより効果的に抑えることが可能である。かかる効果を奏するうえで、カバー部材150の材質についてはゴム体や布生地等を利用するとよい。
 次に、本発明の車両用シートに適用可能な表皮端末の係止構造、及び、当該係止構造を備えた車両用リアシートについて図24及び25を参照しながら説明する。図24に図示の車両用リアシート(以下、シートS)に採用されている図25の表皮端末の係止構造は、その剛性、並びに、表皮端末を係止する際の作業性を向上したものであり、さらに、コンパクトな配置にさせて小型化したものとなっている。
 図24に図示したシートSのシートバックH2は、不図示のパイプフレームとパンフレーム、パイプフレームとパンフレームの正面側に配置されるクッション材230、パイプフレームとパンフレームとクッション材230とを被覆する表皮240、パンフレームの背面を被覆するカーペット250とから主に構成されている。表皮240は、パイプフレーム、パンフレーム及びクッション材230の正面側、側面側、上面側及び下面側を被覆するように形成されている。カーペット250は、略矩形板状のシートバック用カーペットからなり、パンフレームの背面を被覆するように貼合して取付けられている。
 パンフレームの背面の外縁全周には、断面略U字形状からなる木目込み溝212が形成されている。この木目込み溝212は、図25に示すように、パンフレームの中央側にある略板状の第一壁部213と、パンフレーム外側にあり第一壁部213と略平行に向かい合って配置された略板状の第二壁部214と、第一壁部213と第二壁部214の端部を連結する連結部215と、を有する断面略U字形状からなる。なお、木目込み溝212は、パンフレームの背面の外縁全周にわたって配置されていることとしてもよく、あるいは、パンフレームの背面のうち、上方及び下方の外縁のみに配置されていること、若しくは左右両側の外縁のみに配置されていることとしてもよい。さらには、上方、下方、左方、もしくは右方の外縁のみに配置されていること、または上下方向もしくは左右方向の略中央のみに配置されていることとしてもよい。
 さらに、木目込み溝212がパンフレームの背面の外縁全周にわたって配置されている構成において、外縁全周のうち、所定の間隔をおいて幅狭のものとして配置し、複数の幅狭の木目込み溝212を形成してもよい。
 木目込み溝212の第一壁部213には、切り起こし部216が、第一壁部213の長手方向の略中央を略全長にわたって切り起こして形成されており、対向する第二壁部214側に向って突出し、第一壁部213に対して鋭角に形成されている。切り起こし部216は、第一壁部213の長手方向に長尺な略板状体からなり、第二壁部214逆側の内面217と、第二壁部214側の外面218と、連結部215側の端面219とを有する。なお、切り起こし部216は、第一壁部213の長手方向の略中央を切り起こして形成されることとしてもよく、あるいは、第一壁部213の木目込み溝212開口側に近い部分を切り起こしてもよい。このように切り起こし部216が木目込み溝212の第一壁部213を切り起こすことによって容易に形成可能であるため、表皮端末の係止についての作業性が向上することとなる。
 また、切り起こし部216は、第一壁部213の長手方向を略全長にわたって切り起こして形成されるが、所定の間隔をおいて幅狭のものとして切り起こし、複数の幅狭の切り起こし部216が形成されてもよい。さらに、切り起こし部216は、別途、略板状体を木目込み溝212の第一壁部213に溶接固定またはビス止めすることにより形成されてもよい。
 なお、切り起こし部216の先端は、第一壁部213と第二壁部214との間に位置するため、木目込み溝212全体をコンパクトな配置にでき、より小型な表皮端末の係止構造が実現される。
 第一壁部213には、切り起こし部216以外の部分であって、切り起こし部216を切り起こすことによって生じた孔221が形成されている。孔221は、第一壁部213の長手方向に長尺な間隙からなる。なお、孔221は、第一壁部213を切り起こして形成されていることとしてもよく、若しくは第一壁部213に別途貫通穴を設けるか、別途凹部を設けて形成されてもよい。
 表皮240の端末は略矩形からなり、略矩形の各端辺には、略全長にわたって各表皮片241が配置されている。表皮240の端末と、表皮片241の表皮240側の端末とは、糸で縫製されている。表皮片241は、パンフレームの背面の一部分を、パンフレームの形状に沿って断面略U字状となるように被覆している。
 表皮片241の表皮240側と反対側の端末である表皮端末242には、保持部材243が表皮端末242の略全長にわたって配置されており、図25に示すように、保持部材243の第二壁部214側の末端に近い部分で表皮端末242と糸で縫着されている。
 保持部材243は、木目込み溝212の長手方向に長尺な樹脂製の断面略J字状体からなり、略板状の第一壁部244と、第一壁部244と略平行に向かい合って配置された略板状の第二壁部245と、第一壁部244と第二壁部245との端部を連結する連結部246とが一体に形成された形状で構成されている。
 また、保持部材243は、第一壁部244と、第二壁部245と、連結部246とに囲まれた内部空間を有し、さらに保持部材243の連結部246逆側に開口部247を有する。ここで、第一壁部244の長さは、第二壁部245の長さよりも短くなるように形成されている。なお、図25に図示の保持部材243は、第一壁部244の長さが第二壁部245の長さよりも短い断面略J字状体からなるが、これに限定されなくてもよい。第一壁部244と第二壁部245とが略同一長さの断面略U字状体、第一壁部244と第二壁部245とが端部以外を連結する断面略H状体、または第一壁部244の端部と第二壁部245の端部のいずれか一方が他方の壁部に連結される断面略n状体からなる形状でもよい。
 保持部材243は、可撓性を有し、木目込み溝212の第一壁部213と第二壁部214の間の幅よりも拡開した形状である。保持部材243が木目込み溝212内に差し込まれると、第一壁部244と第一壁部213とが当接し、かつ第二壁部245と第二壁部214とが当接する。そのため、保持部材243は、第一壁部244と第二壁部245が離れる方向に広がろうとする反発力によって木目込み溝212内に係止される。なお、保持部材243は、長尺に形成され、表皮端末242の略全長にわたって配置されていることとしてもよく、所定の間隔をおいて幅狭のものとして複数の幅狭の保持部材243が固定されていてもよい。
 保持部材243は、第一壁部244の開口部247側の先端に、突起部248を有する。突起部248は、断面略半矢印状からなり、第一壁部244の連結部246逆側の端部から連結部246側に傾斜して、かつ第二壁部245側に向って突出して形成されている。突起部248は、第一壁部244に対して略直角に形成されている。突起部上面249は、丸みを有する形状からなる。なお、突起部248は、第一壁部244に対して略直角に形成されていることとしてもよく、第一壁部244に対して鋭角に形成されていてもよい。また、突起部248は、断面略平板状からなる形状としてもよく、あるいは断面略矢印状からなる形状としてもよい。
 さらに、突起部248の上面である突起部上面249は丸みを有する形状からなるが、フラットな面を有してもよい。
 カーペット250の端末であるカーペット端末251は、パンフレームの背面側の面に形成された木目込み溝212に係止されている。カーペット端末251には、図25に示すように、係合部材252がカーペット端末251の略全長にわたって配置されており、カーペット端末251と糸で縫着されている。係合部材252は、木目込み溝212の長手方向に長尺な樹脂製の略板状体からなる。なお、係合部材252は、カーペット端末251の略全長にわたって配置されていることとしてもよく、所定の間隔をおいて幅狭のものとして配置され複数の幅狭の係合部材252が固定されていることとしてもよい。
 また、係合部材252は、係合部材252の長手方向断面の略中央で縫着されているが、両端を縫着する等して固定することとしてもよい。
 カーペット端末251と係合部材252は、保持部材243の内部空間を形成する第一壁部244、第二壁部245、連結部246に当接して取り囲まれている。そのため、カーペット端末251と係合部材252は、保持部材243の内部空間内に係止される。木目込み溝212の第一壁部213と第二壁部214の間の幅は、表皮端末242とカーペット端末251とが当接するように小さく形成されている。そのため、表皮端末242とカーペット端末251の摩擦により、木目込み溝212から一層外れることがない。
 突起部248は、切り起こし部216と近接しており、突起部上面249が隅角部220と対向して配置されている。そのため、外部から保持部材243を木目込み溝212の開口側に引っ張る方向の力がかかったときに、突起部上面249と隅角部220とが互いに当接されて、保持部材243の抜けを規制できる。なお、突起部上面249は、フラットな面とし、かつ隅角部220にフラットな面を形成してもよい。このようにすることで、保持部材243が木目込み溝212の開口側にかかる引張方向と略垂直な面で互いに当接されて、保持部材243の抜けを一層規制できる。
 また、突起部248は、孔221と近接しており、突起部248と孔221とは、互いに対向して配置されている。そのため、外部から保持部材243が木目込み溝212の開口側に引っ張る方向の力がかかったときに、突起部248が切り起こし部216と当接した後、孔221側に移動するようになる。そして突起部248の開口部247側の斜面と、切り起こし部216の内面217とが互いに当接されて、保持部材243の抜けを一層規制できる。
 さらに、突起部248及び第一壁部244は、第一壁部213と当接しており、互いに対向して配置されている。そのため、突起部248が孔221側に過度に移動することを規制でき、保持部材243がカーペット端末251及び係合部材252を取り囲んだ状態を保持することができる。
 なお、突起部248は切り起こし部216と近接しており、突起部上面249が隅角部220と対向して配置されているが、これに限定されなくてもよい。その変形例として、突起部上面249が切り起こし部216の端面219と当接するように設けられていてもよい。このようにすれば、突起部248はカーペット端末251側に移動し易くなり、保持部材243がカーペット端末251及び係合部材252を一層取り囲み易くすることができ、係止構造の剛性を一層向上できる。
 係合部材252は、突起部248と近接しており、保持部材243が木目込み溝212の開口側に抜ける方向と略垂直な面で互いに当接するように配置されている。そのため、保持部材243の抜けと、カーペット端末251及び係合部材252の抜けを一層防止することが可能となる。また、カーペット端末251と係合部材252は、保持部材243によって取り囲まれているので、木目込み溝212内におけるカーペット端末251の固定強度が向上する。
 表皮端末242は、保持部材243の第二壁部245が表皮端末242と第二壁部214とに挟持されて配置されているので、第二壁隅角部214aと当接し難い。そのため、外部から表皮端末242を木目込み溝212内に押し込む方向の力がかかることがあっても、表皮端末242が第二壁隅角部214aによって損傷され難い。
 なお、係止構造については、木目込み溝212内に表皮端末242とカーペット端末251とを連結させた構造の他、カーペット250の代わりにパンフレームの背面側に被覆した別表皮の端末と表皮端末242とを互いに連結させてもよい。つまり、別表皮の端末に係合部材252を縫着し、この係合部材252を、前述と同様に、木目込み溝212内に取り囲ませて、表皮240と別表皮の端末同士を連結させて構成される。
 また、表皮240と別表皮とが同じ素材から構成されてもよいし、表皮240が本革や合成皮革等から構成され、別表皮がニードルパンチ等から構成される等、互いに異なる素材から構成されてもよい。更なる変形例として、表皮240とカーペット250の代わりに、シートバックH2全体を覆う袋状の表皮を用いて、この袋状の表皮の端末同士を木目込み溝212内に連結させてもよい。
 以上までに説明してきた表皮端末の係止構造は、主として車両用リアシートのシートバックに採用されるものであるが、これに限定されることなく、表皮で被覆したシート部品であれば、車両用フロントシート、車両用ミドルシートにも適用可能である。
 なお、上述の実施形態は、本発明の理解を容易にするための一例に過ぎず、本発明を限定するものではない。本発明は、その趣旨を逸脱することなく、変更、改良され得ると共に、本発明にはその等価物が含まれることは勿論である。また、上述した材質や形状等は、本発明の効果を発揮させるための一例に過ぎず、本発明を限定するものではない。

Claims (20)

  1.  シートクッションと、該シートクッションに対して相対回動するシートバックと、前記シートクッションに向かって倒れる方向に回動している前記シートバックに他の可動部材を連動させるためのリンク機構と、を備える車両用シートであって、
     前記シートバックと前記シートクッションとは、前記車両用シートの幅方向において前記シートバック及び前記シートクッションの脇に配置された連結部材によって連結され、
     前記リンク機構は、前記シートクッションに向かって倒れる方向に回動している前記シートバックに前記他の可動部材を連動させるために回動する回動体を有し、
     該回動体は、前記幅方向において前記連結部材と隣り合い、前記シートクッションに向かって倒れる方向に回動している前記シートバックに押されることで回動し、
     前記回動体のうち、前記シートバックに押される部分は、前記幅方向から見たときに前記連結部材の外縁よりも外側に位置することを特徴とする車両用シート。
  2.  前記回動体は、前記連結部材が前記幅方向の外側に備える外表面に沿うように配置された第1壁部と、該第1壁部の外縁部と隣接する位置から前記外表面に向かって延出した第2壁部と、を備え、
     前記回動体のうち、前記シートバックに押される部分は、前記第2壁部に設けられており、
     前記第2壁部は、少なくとも前記第1壁部の外縁部中、前記回動体の回動軸を囲む部分と隣接する位置に備えられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用シート。
  3.  前記回動体は、前記幅方向から見たときに屈曲した形状となっていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用シート。
  4.  前記回動体の中央部は、前記回動体の回動軸に支持され、
     前記回動体の一端部は、前記回動体のうち、前記シートバックに押される部分を含み、
     前記回動体の他端部には、前記回動体と前記他の可動部材とを繋げるために敷設された中継部材が取り付けられており、
     前記回動体が前記シートバックに押されていない状態では、前記回動体の一端部及び他端部が、前記中央部よりも、前記中継部材を前記回動体の他端部に取り付ける際に前記中継部材を引き込む方向の上流側に位置していることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の車両用シート。
  5.  前記回動体のうち、前記シートバックに押される部分は、前記回動体の一端部に含まれ、
     前記回動体の一端部は、前記幅方向から見たときに前記連結部材の外縁よりも外側にはみ出ており、
     前記連結部材は、前記幅方向の外側に備える外表面と、該外表面の外縁部と隣接する位置から前記幅方向の外側に向かって延出した連結部材側延出部と、を有し、
     該連結部材側延出部は、前記外表面の外縁に沿って設けられており、
     前記外表面の外縁のうち、前記回動体が回動した際に前記回動体の一端部が通過する範囲の少なくとも一部では、前記連結部材側延出部が欠けていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用シート。
  6.  前記回動体の中央部は、前記回動体の回動軸に支持され、
     前記回動体の一端部には、前記シートクッションに向かって倒れる方向に回動している前記シートバックが前記回動体を押す際の向きとは反対向きに前記回動体を付勢する付勢部材が取り付けられ、
     前記回動体の他端部には、前記回動体と前記他の可動部材とを繋げるために敷設された中継部材が取り付けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用シート。
  7.  前記シートバックは、前記幅方向外側に張り出した張り出し部を備え、
     前記シートバックが前記シートクッションに向かって倒れる方向に回動することにより、該張り出し部が前記回動体との当接位置へ移動して前記回動体を押すようになり、
     前記連結部材は、前記幅方向の外側に備える外表面と、該外表面の外縁部と隣接する位置から前記幅方向の外側に向かって延出した連結部材側延出部と、を有し、
     該連結部材側延出部の一部は、前記張り出し部の移動範囲の前端に位置し、前記張り出し部と当接して前記シートバックが前記シートクッションに向かって倒れる方向に更に回動するのを規制することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用シート。
  8.  前記連結部材は、前記幅方向の外側に備える外表面と、該外表面の外縁部と隣接する位置から前記幅方向の外側に向かって延出した連結部材側延出部と、を有し、
     前記回動体を前記他の可動部材に繋げるために敷設された中継部材を、保持するための保持部が、前記連結部材側延出部の一部を切り欠くことによって形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用シート。
  9.  前記連結部材は、前記幅方向において前記連結部材と前記シートバックとの間に設けられたリクライニング機構に接合されることにより、該リクライニング機構を介して前記シートバックに取り付けられており、
     前記連結部材の前記リクライニング機構との接合箇所は、前記幅方向から見たときに少なくとも3箇所以上あり、
     前記回動体の回動軸は、前記幅方向から見たときに前記接合箇所によって囲まれる範囲内に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用シート。
  10.  前記回動体は、前記幅方向から見たときに屈曲した形状となっていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の車両用シート。
  11.  乗員が着座する前記シートクッションを有し、収納可能なシート本体と、
     前記シートクッションに取り付けられ、前記シート本体の収納時に前記シートクッションを収納位置へ移動させるために前記幅方向に沿う回動軸周りに回動する回動部材と、を更に備え、
     前記回動部材は、前記シートクッションの下部に位置し、前記幅方向における前記シートクッションの中央部に取り付けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用シート。
  12.  前記幅方向における前記シートクッションの中央部には、前記幅方向において互いに離れた状態で複数の前記回動部材が取り付けられており、
     前記幅方向に延びて、複数の前記回動部材の間を連結する回動部材連結部が設けられ、
     前記シートクッションは、
     前記シート本体の前後方向における前端部と後端部との間に隙間が形成されたシートクッションフレームと、
     前記隙間内に配置され、前記シートクッションフレームの前端部と後端部との間を連結したフレーム側連結体と、を備え、
     前記回動部材連結部は、前記幅方向において前記フレーム側連結体が配置された位置を跨ぐように配置されていることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の車両用シート。
  13.  複数の前記回動部材の各々は、
     前記回動軸である下側回動軸周りに回動する下側回動部材片と、
     前記下側回動軸に沿う連結軸を介して前記下側回動部材片と連結し、前記連結軸周りに回動する上側回動部材片と、を備えており、
     前記シートクッションフレームの下方位置に固定されており、前記下側回動軸周りを介して前記下側回動部材片を回動自在に支持する下側支持部材と、
     前記シートクッションフレームに固定され、前記連結軸に沿う上側回動軸を介して前記上側回動部材片を回動自在に支持する上側支持部材と、が設けられており、
     前記シート本体の収納時、前記下側回動部材片が前記下側回動軸周りに後方へ回動するとともに前記上側回動部材片が前記連結軸周りに前方へ回動することにより前記シートクッションが前記収納位置へ移動し、
     前記シートクッションが前記収納位置に到達すると、前記上側支持部材が前記下側支持部材に当接することを特徴とする請求項12に記載の車両用シート。
  14.  前記上側支持部材に備えられた前記下側支持部材との当接面、及び、前記下側支持部材に備えられた前記上側支持部材との当接面のうち、少なくとも一方には凹凸が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項13に記載の車両用シート。
  15.  複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記上側回動部材片のうち、前記幅方向において最も一端側に位置する前記上側回動部材片は、複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記下側回動部材片のいずれよりも前記幅方向の一端側に位置し、
     複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記上側回動部材片のうち、前記幅方向において最も他端側に位置する前記上側回動部材片は、複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記下側回動部材片のいずれよりも前記幅方向の他端側に位置することを特徴とする請求項13に記載の車両用シート。
  16.  前記下側支持部材のうち、前記幅方向における一端側にある端面は、複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記下側回動部材片のいずれよりも前記幅方向の一端側に位置し、
     前記下側支持部材のうち、前記幅方向において他端側にある端面は、複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記下側回動部材片のいずれよりも前記幅方向の他端側に位置することを特徴とする請求項13に記載の車両用シート。
  17.  前記幅方向における前記シートクッションの中央部には、前記幅方向において互いに離れた状態で一対の前記回動部材が取り付けられており、
     前記連結軸は、一対の前記回動部材のうち、一方の前記回動部材における前記上側回動部材片と前記下側回動部材片との連結部から、他方の前記回動部材における前記上側回動部材片と前記下側回動部材片との連結部まで延出しており、
     前記上側回動部材片及び前記下側回動部材片の双方を、前記シート本体が収納される前の前記双方の位置に戻すために前記双方を付勢する渦巻きバネが備えられ、
     該渦巻きバネは、前記連結軸に巻き付いた状態で配置されていることを特徴とする請求項13に記載の車両用シート。
  18.  前記幅方向における前記回動部材連結部の両端部には、該両端部と交差した状態の前記下側回動部材片及び前記上側回動部材片が取り付けられており、
     前記渦巻きバネは、前記幅方向において前記回動部材連結部の両端部の間に位置し、前記下側回動部材片の間に挟まれ、かつ、前記上側回動部材片の間に挟まれた状態で配置されていることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の車両用シート。
  19.  前記シート本体を固定するために前記シートクッションの下方位置に設けられ、前記幅方向に離間して複数設けられたシート固定部材と、
     前記幅方向において前記シート固定部材の間を連結するシート側連結部材と、を備え、
     前記下側支持部材は、前記シート側連結部材に固定されていることを特徴とする請求項13に記載の車両用シート。
  20.  複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記上側回動部材片のうち、前記幅方向において最も一端側に位置する前記上側回動部材片は、複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記下側回動部材片のいずれよりも前記幅方向の一端側に位置し、
     複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記上側回動部材片のうち、前記幅方向において最も他端側に位置する前記上側回動部材片は、複数の前記回動部材の各々が備える前記下側回動部材片のいずれよりも前記幅方向の他端側に位置することを特徴とする請求項14に記載の車両用シート。
