These traces derive from impurities present in the raw materials or are residues of auxiliary materials used during the production or processing of the alloy. In this case, the remaining percentage needed to reach 100% by weight according to the first claim is constituted by copper and inevitable impurities.

- Preferred quantities of gold are 0.2% by weight - 3.5% by weight.
- silver is present in quantities included between 8 and 10% by weight and zinc is present in quantities included between 5 and 9% by weight. Even more preferably, the quantity of silver corresponds to 8.8-9.2% by weight, the quantity of zinc to 16.8-17.2% by weight and the quantity of copper to 69.8-70.2% by weight.
- a further preferred embodiment of the alloy according to the invention is constituted by an alloy comprising approximately 4.17% by weight of a combination of gold, palladium and platinum, in which the three metals are present in equal quantities expressed in weight percentages.
- the alloy comprises approximately 4.17% by weight of a combination of gold and palladium or of a combination of gold and platinum, in which the two metals are present in equal quantities expressed in weight percentages.
- a very advantageous variant embodiment of the invention concerns an alloy comprising approximately 0.5% gold by weight and preferably at least 0.1% platinum by weight. Such an alloy is extraordinarily bright.
- the alloy is constituted by 0.5% gold by weight; 2.5% silver and palladium by weight; 17% zinc by weight and 70% copper by weight.
- this composition there is 0.1% platinum by weight which correspondingly partially replaces silver, palladium, zinc and/or copper.
