Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for producing a carbonate compound.

- a method of producing by a transesterification reaction between a cyclic carbonate or dimethyl carbonate and an alcohol in the presence of a transesterification reaction catalyst for example, see Non-Patent Document 1).
- a method for producing by reaction of methyl chloroformate and alcohol for example, see Patent Document 2).
- the method (1) has a problem that only cyclic carbonates can be produced, and various carbonate compounds cannot be produced. Since the method (2) is an equilibrium reaction, a large excess of alcohol must be used to improve the yield of the target product; it is difficult to separate and remove the by-product asymmetric carbonate compound, etc. There's a problem. In the method (3), there is a problem that the production equipment is corroded by hydrogen chloride as a by-product.
- (4-1) A method of obtaining a cyclic alkylene carbonate and chloroform by reacting a vicinal diol compound (such as propylene glycol) and hexachloroacetone in the presence of a base catalyst (a salt of a strong base and a weak acid) (Patent Document 3) ).
- (4-2) A method of obtaining cyclic alkylene carbonate and chloroform by reacting a vicinal diol compound (propylene glycol or the like) with hexachloroacetone in the presence of a group 2 or group 3 metal hydrosilicate catalyst (Patent Document 4) .
- Patent Document 5 A method of obtaining a compound having a carbonate bond by reacting hexachloroacetone and a compound having an OH group in the presence of a halogen salt catalyst.
- Patent Document 6 A method of obtaining a fluorine-containing compound having a carbonate bond by reacting hexachloroacetone and a fluorine-containing compound having an OH group.
- a cyclic carbonate compound is obtained by a reaction between hexachloroacetone and a vicinal diol compound in the presence of a catalyst.
- a diol compound having an OH group adjacent to the vicinal position has a very high reaction rate of a carbonate formation reaction by intramolecular cyclization. Difficult to apply directly to this reaction.
- chloroform (nonpolar solvent) produced by the reaction of hexachloroacetone and a vicinal diol compound reduces the solubility of the catalyst in the substrate, Since the yield of the product decreases, it is necessary to distill off the chloroform during the reaction between hexachloroacetone and the vicinal diol compound.
- a dedicated facility is required, which is industrially disadvantageous.
- crown ether is effective as a phase transfer catalyst, and non-cyclic glycol ether and other ethers can be used as an inert solvent.

留分として5064g(回収率96量%)を回収した。
