Abstract
Description
(1)白金族元素を含有するチタン合金材であって、EPMA表面分析装置を用いて行う表面マッピング分析で、バックグラウンド信号の強度の平均値をNとするとき、N+3N1/2を、Feの特性X線のバックグラウンド信号の最大強度として、当該最大強度を超えるFeの特性X線の信号が得られる面積率が0.1%以下である、チタン合金材。
(2)白金族元素を含有するチタン合金材であって、EPMA表面分析装置を用いて行う表面マッピング分析で、バックグラウンド信号の強度の平均値をNとするとき、N+3N1/2を、Sの特性X線のバックグラウンド信号の最大強度として、当該最大強度を超えるSの特性X線の信号が得られる面積率が0.1%以下である、チタン合金材。
(3)上記最大強度を超えるFeの特性X線の信号が得られる面積率が0.05%以下であり、かつ、上記最大強度を超えるSの特性X線の信号が得られる面積率が0.05%以下である、(1)または(2)に記載のチタン合金材。
(4)上記チタン合金材の表面のFe存在部についてポイント分析で得られるFe含有量が、Tiに対するFeのatom比で0.5以下である、上記(1)または(3)に記載のチタン合金材。
(5)上記白金族元素を、0.01~0.25質量%含有する、上記(1)~(4)のいずれか1つに記載のチタン合金材。
(6)Ni:0.05~1.0質量%、Cr:0.05~0.3質量%、およびMo:0.05~0.5質量%、からなる群から選ばれる1種または2種以上をさらに含有する、上記(1)~(5)のいずれか1つに記載のチタン合金材。
(7)上記白金族元素として、Pdを0.01~0.25質量%含有する、上記(1)~(6)のいずれか1つに記載のチタン合金材。
表面の汚染程度が異なるGr.11、Gr.13、およびGr.17材を、市中から入手し、EPMA(Electron Probe MicroAnalyser;電子プローブ微量分析器)表面分析装置により面分析を行い、表面に存在する元素を調べた。Gr.11、Gr.13、およびGr.17材のそれぞれについて、表面に存在する元素は、以下の通りであった。
各種試作材の表面上で、一辺の長さが200μmである正方形の領域について、EPMA表面分析装置により、Feについて表面マッピング分析を行った。バックグラウンド信号の強度の平均値をNとするとき、N+3N1/2を、Feの特性X線のバックグラウンド信号の最大強度であるとして、この最大強度を超えるFeの特性X線の信号が得られる面積率(以下、「Fe面積率」という。)を算出した(面積率の詳細な算出方法については、後述する。)。
各種試作材の表面上で、一辺の長さが200μmである正方形の領域について、EPMA表面分析装置により、Sについて表面マッピング分析を行った。バックグラウンド信号の強度の平均値をNとするとき、N+3N1/2を、Sの特性X線のバックグラウンド信号の最大強度として、この最大強度を超えるSの特性X線の信号が得られる面積率(以下、「S面積率」という。)を算出した。
上述の市中材料では、FeおよびSの両方の元素で汚染されている場合があった。
Feで汚染されている試作材について、Fe面積率のみならず、試作材の表面近傍に存在するFeの含有量(ポイント分析による)と、含有水素量の経時変化との関係を調べた。
以下、本発明のチタン合金材を製造する方法の一例について説明する。
白金属元素の含有量は、0.01~0.25質量%とすることが好ましい。これにより、原料費を抑えつつ、チタン合金材の耐食性を得ることができる。白金属元素は、例えば、Pdであってもよい。
試料に用いた母材は、板厚が3mmであり、ASTM規格のGr.11、Gr.13、Gr.17材、Gr33材、およびラボ試作材(VAR溶解(Vacuum Arc Remelting;真空アーク再溶解)、熱間鍛造、および熱間圧延を順に行って試作したもの)であり、表1に示す組成を有する。これらの母材に対して、脱脂、および超音波洗浄を行ってから、実機製造時の汚染を再現する目的で、以下の処理を施した。
(株)高純度化学社製のFEE13PB鉄粉(純度:2Nup、粒径:3~5μm)を、表2に示す種々の量(質量%)で、パーム油を主成分とする圧延潤滑油に混合し、この圧延潤滑油を板厚4mmの母材に塗布して、母材を、板厚が3mmになるように圧延することで、ショットピーニング時のショット片の残留を模擬し、Fe汚染の量(Fe汚染度)が異なる試料を得た。
圧延潤滑油に、DIC社製の極圧添加剤であるDAILUBE GS-440Lオレフィン金属加工油(40%の硫黄を含有する予備硫化剤)を、表2に示す質量%で混合したものを、板厚4mmの母材に塗布して、母材を、板厚が3mmになるように圧延することで、S汚染の量(S汚染度)が異なる試料を得た。
上記(i)および(ii)の処理を組み合わせることによって、FeおよびSによって複合汚染された試料を得た。
表2で、「(清浄材)」と記した試料(実施例1~3)は、FeおよびSのいずれについても、汚染処理をしていないものである。すなわち、これらの試料は、Fe(鉄粉)およびS(硫黄を含有する極圧添加剤)のいずれも添加していない圧延潤滑剤を、板厚4mmの母材に塗布して、この母材を、板厚が3mmになるように圧延して得たものである。
上記(i)~(iv)の処理によって得られた被圧延材に対して、脱脂後、Ar雰囲気炉で750℃×30分の焼鈍処理を行い、その後、フッ硝酸洗浄を施し、腐食試験に供した。表2で、「(コーレン処理)」と記した試料(実施例16)は、上記Fe汚染の処理を施した後、フッ硝酸洗浄を行う前に、コーレン処理を施して得たものである。一部の試料については、本発明に定義した表面を得るために、コーレン処理や塩化第二鉄水溶液での処理(ブラッシング処理を含む。)を施した。また、一部の試料(実施例9)については、焼鈍前と焼鈍後の2回のフッ硝酸洗浄を施した。
EPMA表面分析装置を用いて、腐食処理前の試料の表面分析を行った。

使用分光結晶:LIFH(Fe Kα線用)、PETH(S Kα線用)、LIF(Ti Kα線用)、LIFH(Zn Kα線用)
ESCA(Electron Spectroscopy for Chemical Analysis)、AES(Auger Electron Spectroscopy)、およびEPMA用スタンダード(UHV STANDARDS)の高純度Tiを上記分析条件で分析し、Fe、SおよびZnのバックグラウンドカウント強度を、格子状に配列した500×500点で測定し、それぞれの元素のバックグラウンドカウント(強度)の平均値N(Fe)、N(S)、およびN(Zn)を算出した。
Fe閾値強度:N(Fe)+3N(Fe)1/2
S閾値強度:N(S)+3N(S)1/2
Zn閾強度:N(Zn)+3N(Zn)1/2
汚染面積率=300/(500×500)=0.12%
である。表2、表4、および表5では、試料のFeおよびSの汚染量を、それぞれ、FeおよびSの汚染面積率(Fe面積率、およびS面積率)で示す。
汚染物の定量的な濃度は、EPMA、AES等の一般的な分析手段を用いて測定することができる。実施例では、表面汚染を測定する目的で、表面近傍の情報が得られるFE-AES(Field Emission-Auger Electron Spectroscopy;電界放射走査型オージェ電子分光分析装置)を、分析手段として採用した。分析条件は、以下の通りである。
装置:アルバック・ファイ社製 Model 680
1次ビーム:加速電圧 10kV、試料電流 10nA
検出深さ:数nm(TiおよびFeに関しては、3~5nm)
表面汚染の影響が耐食性に与える影響を調べるために、白金族元素を含有するチタン合金が使用される環境を模して、一般的な耐隙間腐食試験に準ずる試験を実施した。

1) 「実施例1(清浄材)」~「実施例3(清浄材)」、「実施例4」~「実施例7」、「実施例9」~「実施例11」、および「実施例14」と記した試料(以下、「非複合汚染試料」という。)のFe面積率は、0.1%以下であり、表面のFe汚染度は低い。同様に、非複合汚染試料のS面積率は、0.1%以下であり、表面のS汚染度は低い。
また、非複合汚染試料については、腐食処理による腐食減量が認められず、非複合汚染試料が耐食性に優れることは明らかである。さらに、非複合汚染試料の腐食処理による水素増加量Hは、20ppm以下である。非複合汚染試料のうちFe面積率が0.01%以下のもの(実施例1~3、6、7、11および16)は、隙間となった面の表面粗化は認められず、極めて耐食性が良好であり、また、水素吸収量も10ppm未満と極めて少ない。
1) オートクレーブによる処理(150℃×1000時間)によっては、本発明によるいずれの試料(実施例17~21)についても、腐食減量は認められなかった。
2) Fe/Ti(atom比)が0.5を超えた試料については、腐食処理により、水素含有率の増加が認められた。これらの試料では、腐食処理後の水素量が100ppmを超え、水素が経時吸収増加するものと推定される。
3)実施例17~21のうち、Fe/Ti(atom比)が0.5を超えた試料(実施例18、20および21)の試料も、本発明の範囲内のものであるが、水素脆化が懸念されるような環境(高温)で使用される場合を考慮すると、Fe/Ti(atom比)が0.5以下であることが、好ましい。
4) 本発明の範囲から外れる試料(表5に「比較例13」~「比較例15」と記した試料)は、表面に凹状の部分が存在し、かつ大きな腐食減量が認められる。これらの試料は、白金族を含有するTi合金であっても、これらの試料に対する厳しい条件による処理(上記オートクレーブ処理)に対しては、耐食的とはいえない。これらの試料では、処理による水素増加量Hは、35ppmより大きく、これらの試料の腐食は、水素吸収に関連するものと考えられる。これらの試料は、水素増加量Hは、200ppmを超え、この値は、水素脆化が懸念されるレベルである。
5)比較例13~15の試料で、Fe面積率が高く、Fe/Ti(atom比)が高いものは、いずれも、腐食減量が大きいとともに、腐食処理後の水素含有率が200ppmを超えており、水素脆化が懸念される。
Claims (7)
- 白金族元素を含有するチタン合金材であって、
EPMA表面分析装置を用いて行う表面マッピング分析で、バックグラウンド信号の強度の平均値をNとするとき、N+3N1/2を、Feの特性X線のバックグラウンド信号の最大強度として、当該最大強度を超えるFeの特性X線の信号が得られる面積率が0.1%以下である、チタン合金材。 - 白金族元素を含有するチタン合金材であって、
EPMA表面分析装置を用いて行う表面マッピング分析で、バックグラウンド信号の強度の平均値をNとするとき、N+3N1/2を、Sの特性X線のバックグラウンド信号の最大強度として、当該最大強度を超えるSの特性X線の信号が得られる面積率が0.1%以下である、チタン合金材。 - 前記最大強度を超えるFeの特性X線の信号が得られる面積率が0.05%以下であり、かつ、前記最大強度を超えるSの特性X線の信号が得られる面積率が0.05%以下である、請求項1または2に記載のチタン合金材。
- 前記チタン合金材の表面のFe存在部についてポイント分析で得られるFe含有量が、Tiに対するFeのatom比で0.5以下である、請求項1または3に記載のチタン合金材。
- 前記白金族元素を、0.01~0.25質量%含有する、請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載のチタン合金材。
- Ni:0.05~1.0質量%、Cr:0.05~0.3質量%、およびMo:0.05~0.5質量%からなる群から選ばれる1種または2種以上をさらに含有する、請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載のチタン合金材。
- 前記白金族元素として、Pdを0.01~0.25質量%含有する、請求項1~6のいずれか1項に記載のチタン合金材。
