Description

단열성이 우수한 진공단열용 심재 구조물 및 이를 이용한 진공단열 패널
본 발명은 진공단열 패널(vacuum insulation panel)에 관한 것이다. 보다 구체적으로, 본 발명은 단열성이 우수한 진공단열용 심재 구조물(core structure) 및 이를 이용한 진공단열 패널에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로 냉장고, 냉동고, 자동판매기 등의 보온/보냉 기기는 외부로 방출되거나 외부로부터 유입되는 열을 효율적으로 차단하기 위해서 단열재가 내장된 단열패널을 필요로 한다. 단열재로는, 글래스 울 등의 섬유재나 우레탄폼 등의 발포체가 이용되고 있다. 이들 단열재의 단열성을 향상시키기 위해서 단열재의 두께를 늘리기도 하나, 얇은 두께가 요구되는 제품과 같이, 작은 부피를 요구하거나 컴팩트화 하고자 하는 경우에는 그러할 수 없다는 문제점이 있다.
따라서 단열 성능이 높은 단열패널로서 진공상태로 컴팩트하게 제조한 단열패널이 주목받고 있다. 진공단열재라고도 하는 진공단열패널은, 단열재로 이루어진 심재 구조물(core structure)을 가스 배리어(gas barrier)의 역할을 하는 외피재로 감싸고, 외피재의 내부를 감압한 후 외피재의 개구부를 융착시킨 구조로 제조된다. 진공단열패널의 심재 구조물로서 주로 무기섬유인 글라스 울과 퓸드 실리카(fumed silica) 소재를 사용하고 있다.
한국공개특허 제2003-0011828호는 진공단열재와 이것을 이용한 기기에 관한 것으로, SiO2가 주성분인 무기섬유를 다층 적용한 심재 구조물을 개시하고 있다. 그러나, 이 문헌은 심재 구조물을 구성하는 소재 자체를 개량하는 방법에 대해서만 언급하고 있다.
일본공개특허 제2006-307921호는 진공단열재에 관한 것으로, 무기섬유의 방향을 열전달 방향에 수직으로 구성하고 층간 섬유가 교차되는 구조를 채택하여 열전도도를 개선하는 방법을 개시하고 있다. 그러나, 이 방법은 구조가 복잡하기 때문에 제조원가가 많이 들고 현실적으로 상업화가 어려운 결점이 있다.
일본공개특허 제2007-182991호는 진공단열재 및 유리 섬유에 관한 것으로, 대기 압축에 의한 심재 구조물을 고밀도화 하고 섬유 접촉부의 증대를 억제하고, 심재 구조물의 고체성분의 열전도를 감소시키는 기술에 관한 것이다. 이 문헌도 심재 구조물을 구성하는 소재 자체를 개량하는 방법만을 언급하고 있다.
이에 따라, 본 발명자는 우수한 단열성을 갖는 심재 구조물을 개발하고, 이를 외피재로 밀봉하여 진공포장함으로써 컴팩트화 할 수 있는 본 발명의 새로운 진공단열패널을 개발하기에 이른 것이다.
본 발명의 목적은 단열성이 우수한 진공단열패널용 심재 구조물을 제공하기 위한 것이다.
본 발명의 다른 목적은 상기 심재 구조물을 이용하여 단열성이 우수하고 컴팩트화한 진공단열패널을 제공하기 위한 것이다.
본 발명의 상기 및 기타의 목적들은 모두 하기 설명되는 본 발명에 의해서 달성될 수 있다.
본 발명에 따른 진공단열용 심재 구조물은 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트(sheet)와 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트(sheet)를 번갈아 교대로 적층하여 3 개층 이상의 적층 구조로 이루어지고, 상기 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트와 상기 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트의 대기압에서의 부피밀도차가 50 kg/m3 이상 200 kg/m3 이하인 것을 특징으로 한다.
상기 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트는 대기압에서의 부피밀도가 100 kg/m3 이상 300 kg/m3 이하인 것이 바람직하고, 상기 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트는 대기압에서의 부피밀도가 1 kg/m3 이상 100 kg/m3 미만인 것이 바람직하다.
본 발명의 진공단열용 심재 구조물은 상부표면층(1), 중간층(2), 및 하부층(3)의 구조로 이루어지며, 중간층(2)은 다시 복수개의 시이트 층으로 구성된다. 본 발명의 심재 구조물에서, 적층되는 전체 시이트의 층수는 홀수인 것이 바람직하며, 상부표면층(1)은 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트로 구성되는 것이 바람직하다.
상기 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트 및 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트는 글라스 울, 유리섬유, 세라믹 파이버, 암면, 알루미나섬유, 실리카섬유, 실리카 알루미나 섬유, 탄화규소섬유, 또는 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진다.
상기 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트 및 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트는 섬유길이가 1.2 mm 이상 1.5 mm 이하, 그리고 섬유직경이 1 μm 이상 10 μm 미만인 것이 바람직하다. 또한 상기 두 무기섬유 시이트는 공극율이 90% 이상 95% 이하인 것이 바람직하다.
본 발명에 따른 진공단열패널은 상기 심재 구조물이 외피재에 내장되는 구조로 이루어지고, 상기 외피재는 외부의 공기유입을 차단하는 역할을 하고, 패널내부의 기압이 0 Torr 이상 0.1 Torr 이하인 것을 특징으로 한다. 상기 압력조건하에서 진공단열패널의 심재 구조물의 두께는 5 mm 이상 30 mm 이하인 것이 바람직하다.
본 발명의 진공단열패널은 ASTM-C518에 준하여 24 ℃에서 측정한 열전도도가 1.5 mW/mk 이상 2.6 mW/mk 이하의 범위이다.
본 발명의 진공단열패널은 그 내부에 흡습제를 함유할 수 있는데, 흡습제는 심재 구조물 100 중량부에 대하여 0.1 중량부 이상 5 중량부 이하로 함유되는 것이 바람직하다.
이하 첨부된 도면을 참고로 본 발명의 구체적인 내용을 하기에 상세히 설명한다.
본 발명은 단열성이 우수한 진공단열패널용 심재 구조물을 제공하고, 이를 이용하여 단열성이 우수하고 컴팩트화한 진공단열패널을 제공하는 발명의 효과를 갖는다.
도 1은 진공단열패널의 내부 구조를 도시하기 위하여 부분적으로 절개한 진공단열패널의 사진이다.
도 2는 본 발명에 따른 진공단열용 심재 구조물의 개략적인 적층구조를 도시한 도면이다.
본 발명은 단열성이 우수한 진공단열패널용 심재 구조물(core structure)을 제공하고, 이를 이용하여 단열성이 우수하고 컴팩트화한 진공단열패널(vacuum insulation panel)에 관한 것이다. 우선 심재 구조물을 설명하면 다음과 같다.
진공단열용 심재 구조물
본 발명에 따른 진공단열용 심재 구조물은 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트(sheet)와 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트(sheet)를 번갈아 교대로 적층하여 3 개층 이상의 적층 구조로 이루어지고, 상기 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트와 상기 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트의 대기압에서의 부피밀도차가 50 kg/m3 이상 200 kg/m3 이하인 것을 특징으로 한다.
상기 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트는 대기압에서의 부피밀도가 100 kg/m3 이상 300 kg/m3 이하인 것이 바람직하고, 상기 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트는 대기압에서의 부피밀도가 1 kg/m3 이상 100 kg/m3 미만인 것이 바람직하다. 상기 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트는 대기압에서의 부피밀도가 130 kg/m3 이상 250 kg/m3 이하인 것이 더 바람직하며, 150 kg/m3 이상 200 kg/m3 이하인 것이 가장 바람직하다. 또한, 상기 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트는 대기압에서의 부피밀도가 5 kg/m3 이상 70 kg/m3 이하인 것이 더 바람직하며, 10 kg/m3 이상 50 kg/m3 이하인 것이 가장 바람직하다.
본 발명에서, 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트와 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트는 번갈아 교대로 3층 이상, 예를 들어, 3층, 4층, 5층, 6층, 7층, 8층, 9층, 10층 등으로 포함되며, 층수의 제한은 없다.
본 발명에서는, 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트와 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트의 대기압에서의 부피밀도차가 50 kg/m3 이상 200 kg/m3 이하인 것이 바람직한데, 3종 이상의 무기섬유 시이트를 사용하는 경우에는, 이 부피밀도차는 가장 큰 부피밀도와 가장 작은 부피밀도의 차를 의미한다.
상기 심재 구조물은 상부표면층(1), 중간층(2), 및 하부층(3)의 구조로 이루어지며, 중간층(2)은 다시 복수개의 시이트 층으로 구성된다. 도 2는 본 발명에 따른 진공단열용 심재 구조물의 개략적인 적층구조를 도시한 도면이다. 도 2에는 모두 7개의 적층구조를 도시하였지만, 이는 예시에 불과하고, 다양하게 변형될 수 있다. 반드시 제한되는 것은 아니지만, 본 발명의 심재 구조물에서, 적층되는 전체 시이트의 층수는 홀수인 것이 바람직하며, 상부표면층(1)은 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트로 구성되는 것이 바람직하다.
본 발명에서, 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트와 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트의 부피밀도차는 50 kg/m3 이상 200 kg/m3 이하 범위가 바람직하며, 더 바람직하게는 70 kg/m3 이상 200 kg/m3 이하이고, 가장 바람직하게 100 kg/m3 이상 190 kg/m3 이하이다.
상기 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트 및 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트는 글라스 울, 유리섬유, 세라믹 파이버, 암면, 알루미나섬유, 실리카섬유, 실리카 알루미나 섬유, 탄화규소섬유, 또는 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진다.
상기 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트 및 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트는 섬유길이가 1.2 mm 이상 1.5 mm 이하, 그리고 섬유직경이 1 μm 이상 10 μm 미만인 것이 바람직하다. 상기 섬유길이와 섬유직경은 광학현미경으로 이미지 분석을 통해 측정할 수 있으며, 이는 본 발명이 속하는 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에 의해서 용이하게 실시될 수 있다. 무기섬유의 길이와 직경이 상기 범위 내인 경우에 섬유간 접촉면이 감소하고 이를 통해서 열전달량이 작아짐으로 인해 전체 고체 열전도도가 낮아져서 단열성이 우수해질 수 있다.
본 발명에서 무기섬유 시이트는 공극율이 90% 이상 95% 이하인 것이 바람직하다. 이 경우에, 단열성이 더 우수해질 수 있다. 공극율은 본 발명이 속하는 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에 의해서 용이하게 측정될 수 있으며, 예를 들어 일본출원공개 제2004-011705호에 제시된 수은공극율 분석법에 의해서 측정될 수 있다.
진공단열패널
본 발명에 따른 진공단열패널은 상기 심재 구조물이 외피재에 내장되는 구조로 이루어지고, 상기 외피재는 외부의 공기유입을 차단하는 역할을 하고, 패널내부의 기압이 0 Torr 이상 0.1 Torr 이하인 것을 특징으로 한다. 상기 압력조건하에서 진공단열패널의 심재 구조물의 두께는 5 mm 이상 30 mm 이하인 것이 바람직하다.
도 1은 진공단열패널의 내부 구조를 도시하기 위하여 부분적으로 절개한 진공단열패널의 사진이다. 외피재로는 본 발명이 속하는 기술분야에서 공지된 것을 사용할 수 있으며, 이는 본 발명에 속하는 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에 의해서 용이하게 실시될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 상기 외피재로는 폴리에틸렌 필름, 알루미늄 필름, 폴리에틸렌테레프탈레이트 필름, 및 나일론 필름으로 이루어지고, 열융착층이 폴리에틸렌 필름층인 라미네이트 필름을 사용할 수 있다. 진공단열패널용 외피재는 이미 공지되어 사용되는 것으로 본 발명의 당업자에 의하여 용이하게 실시될 수 있다. 한 구체예로, 두께 50 μm의 폴리에틸렌 필름, 두께 7 μm의 알루미늄 필름, 두께 12 μm의 폴리에틸렌테레프탈레이트 필름, 및 두께 15 μm의 나일론 필름으로 이루어지고, 열융착층이 폴리에틸렌 필름층인 라미네이트 필름을 외피재로 사용할 수 있다.
외피재 내부의 기압은 0 Torr 이상 0.1 Torr 이하이며, 바람직하게 0.001 Torr 이상 0.05 Torr이다. 외피재 내부의 기압이 상기 범위 내인 경우에, 공기를 통한 대류에 따른 열전도를 최소화시킬 수 있으며, 진공단열재의 두께를 얇게 유지시킬 수 있다.
상기 압력조건하에서 심재 구조물의 두께는 5 mm 이상 30 mm 이하인 것이 바람직하다. 바람직하게는, 상기 외피재 내부의 기압에서 심재 구조물의 두께가 10 mm 이상 15 mm 이하이다.
본 발명의 진공단열패널은 ASTM-C518에 준하여 24 ℃에서 측정한 열전도도가 1.5 mW/mk 이상 2.6 mW/mk 이하의 범위이다.
본 발명의 진공단열패널은 그 내부에 흡습제를 함유할 수 있는데, 흡습제는 심재 구조물 100 중량부에 대하여 0.1 중량부 이상 5 중량부 이하로 함유되는 것이 바람직하다. 흡습제로는 산화리튬, 수산화리튬, 산화칼슘, 수산화칼슘, 산화마그네슘, 수산화마그네슘, 산화바륨, 수산화바륨, 황산칼슘, 또는 이들의 둘 이상의 혼합물이 사용된다.
진공단열패널은 냉장고, 냉동고, 건축용 단열재, 차량용 단열재 등에 바람직하게 사용될 수 있다.
본 발명은 하기의 실시예에 의해 보다 구체화될 것이나, 하기의 실시예는 본 발명을 예시하기 위한 목적으로 사용될 뿐이며 본 발명의 보호범위를 한정하고자 하는 것은 아니다.
실시예
본 발명의 실시예 및 비교실시예에서 사용하기 위한 고밀도 및 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트를 다음과 같은 성분으로 제조한다.
GW-H1: 직경이 1∼10 μm이고 길이가 1200∼1500 μm이고 공극율이 90% 이상이고 대기압에서의 부피밀도가 150 kg/m3인 글라스 울을 사용하였다.
GW-H2: 직경이 1∼10 μm이고 길이가 1200∼1500 μm이고 공극율이 90% 이상이고 대기압에서의 부피밀도가 200 kg/m3인 글라스 울을 사용하였다.
GW-L1: 직경이 1∼10 μm이고 길이가 1200∼1500 μm이고 공극율이 90% 이상이고 대기압에서의 부피밀도가 10 kg/m3인 글라스 울을 사용하였다.
GW-L2: 직경이 1∼10 μm이고 길이가 1200∼1500 μm이고 공극율이 90% 이상이고 대기압에서의 부피밀도가 50 kg/m3인 글라스 울을 사용하였다.
EPS-H1: 셀 오픈율이 90% 이상이고 셀 사이즈가 150∼300 μm이고 대기압에서의 부피밀도가 50 kg/m3인 발포폴리스티렌을 사용하였다.
EPS-L1: 셀 오픈율이 90% 이상이고 셀 사이즈가 150∼300 μm이고 대기압에서의 부피밀도가 30 kg/m3인 발포폴리스티렌을 사용하였다.
PUF-H1: 셀 오픈율이 90% 이상이고 셀 사이즈가 150∼300 μm이고 대기압에서의 부피밀도가 60 kg/m3인 폴리우레탄 폼을 사용하였다.
PUF-L1: 셀 오픈율이 90% 이상이고 셀 사이즈가 150∼300 μm이고 대기압에서의 부피밀도가 30 kg/m3인 폴리우레탄 폼을 사용하였다.
PF-H1: 직경이 5∼50 μm이고 공극율이 90% 이상이고 대기압에서의 부피밀도가 150 kg/m3인 폴리에스테르섬유를 사용하였다.
PF-L1: 직경이 5∼50 μm이고 공극율이 90% 이상이고 대기압에서의 부피밀도가 45 kg/m3인 폴리에스테르섬유를 사용하였다.
실시예 1-14 및 비교실시예 1-9
하기 표 1-3에 기재된 심재 구조로, 0.03 Torr에서 개개의 심재 두께가 균등하고 0.03 Torr에서 심재 구조물의 전체두께가 12 mm가 되도록 심재 구조물을 구성한다. 두께 50 μm의 폴리에틸렌 필름, 두께 7 μm의 알루미늄 필름, 두께 12 μm의 폴리에틸렌테레프탈레이트 필름, 및 두께 15 μm의 나일론 필름으로 이루어지고 열융착층이 폴리에틸렌 필름층인 외피재에 상기 심재 구조물과 산화칼슘 10 g을 넣었다. 진공챔버 내에서 외피재 내부의 압력이 0.03 Torr가 되도록 감압한 다음에, 외피재를 밀봉융착시켜 290×410×12 mm 크기의 진공단열패널을 제조하였다.
제조된 진공단열패널의 열전도도를 ASTM-C518에 준하여 Heat Flow Meter 법을 적용한 열전도도 분석기(Netzsch사의 HFM436)를 이용하여 24 ℃에서 측정하였으며, 그 결과를 표 1-3에 나타내었다.

표 1을 보면, 실시예 1-7은 부피밀도차가 100 내지 190 kg/m3인 글라스 울이 교대로 3층 적층된 진공단열용 심재 구조물을 사용한 결과 열전도도가 현저히 낮음을 알 수 있다.
표 2를 보면, 실시예 8-14은 부피밀도차가 100 내지 190 kg/m3인 글라스 울이 교대로 5층 적층된 심재 구조물을 사용한 결과 열전도도가 현저히 낮음을 알 수 있다.
표 3을 보면, 비교실시예 1-3은 무기섬유가 아닌 발포폴리스티렌, 폴리우레탄 폼, 및 폴리에스테르섬유를 각각 사용하여 실시예 1-7에 비해 현저히 높은 열전도도를 가짐을 알 수 있다. 또한, 비교실시예 4-7은 부피밀도차가 없는 무기섬유 시이트를 사용하여 실시예 1-7에 비해 현저히 높은 열전도도를 가짐을 알 수 있다. 또한, 비교실시예 8은 본원발명의 부피밀도차의 범위를 벗어난 심재 구조물을 사용한 결과 열전도도가 현저히 높음을 알 수 있다. 또한, 비교실시예 9는 무기섬유 시이트가 2층 적층된 심재 구조물을 사용한 결과 열전도도가 현저히 높음을 알 수 있다.
실시예 1-2 및 5-6을 비교해보면, 부피밀도차가 커질수록 열전도도도 감소함을 알 수 있다. 또한, 실시예 1과 3, 4와 5, 8과 10, 및 11과 12를 비교해보면, 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트가 가장 바깥쪽에 배치되는 경우에 열전도도가 더 낮음을 알 수 있다.
본 발명의 단순한 변형 내지 변경은 이 분야의 통상의 지식을 가진 자에 의하여 용이하게 실시될 수 있으며, 이러한 변형이나 변경은 모두 본 발명의 영역에 포함되는 것으로 볼 수 있다.

Claims (10)

  1. 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트(sheet)와 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트(sheet)를 번갈아 교대로 적층하여 3 개층 이상의 적층 구조로 이루어지고, 상기 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트와 상기 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트의 대기압에서의 부피밀도차가 50 kg/m3 이상 200 kg/m3 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 진공단열용 심재 구조물.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트는 대기압에서의 부피밀도가 100 kg/m3 이상 300 kg/m3 이하이고, 상기 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트는 대기압에서의 부피밀도가 1 kg/m3 이상 100 kg/m3 미만인 것을 특징으로 하는 진공단열용 심재 구조물.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트 및 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트는 글라스 울, 유리섬유, 세라믹 파이버, 암면, 알루미나섬유, 실리카섬유, 실리카 알루미나 섬유, 및 탄화규소섬유로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택되는 하나 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 진공단열용 심재 구조물.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트 및 저밀도 무기섬유 시이트는 섬유길이가 1.2 mm 이상 1.5 mm 이하, 섬유직경이 1 μm 이상 10 μm 미만, 그리고 공극율이 90% 이상 95% 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 진공단열용 심재 구조물.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 심재 구조물은 상부표면층(1), 중간층(2), 및 하부층(3)의 구조로 이루어지며, 상기 중간층(2)은 다시 복수개의 시이트 층으로 구성되고, 적층되는 전체 시이트의 층수는 홀수이며, 상부표면층(1)은 고밀도 무기섬유 시이트로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 진공단열용 심재 구조물.
  6. 제1항 내지 제5항의 어느 한 항에 따른 심재 구조물이 외피재에 내장되는 구조로 이루어지고, 상기 외피재는 외부의 공기유입을 차단하는 역할을 하고, 패널내부의 기압이 0 Torr 이상 0.1 Torr 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 진공단열패널.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 심재 구조물의 두께가 5 mm 이상 30 mm 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 진공단열패널.
  8. 제6항 또는 제7항에 있어서, 상기 진공단열패널은 ASTM-C518에 준하여 24 ℃에서 측정한 열전도도가 1.5 mW/mk 이상 2.6 mW/mk 이하의 범위인 것을 특징으로 하는 진공단열패널.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 심재 구조물 100 중량부에 대하여 0.1 중량부 이상 5 중량부 이하로 흡습제를 더 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 진공단열패널.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, 상기 흡습제는 산화리튬, 수산화리튬, 산화칼슘, 수산화칼슘, 산화마그네슘, 수산화마그네슘, 산화바륨, 수산화바륨, 및 황산칼슘으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 하나 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 진공단열패널.
