Abstract
Description
本願は、2011年8月26日に、日本に出願された特願2011-184569号に基づき優先権を主張し、その内容をここに援用する。
ブラッシング圧を緩和する歯ブラシとしては、例えば、グリップ部とヘッド部との間に、長手軸に対して横断方向に折れ軸を有する一体的な折れ曲がった部分を備え、折れ目にエラストマー材が貫通している歯ブラシが提案されている(例えば、特許文献1)。
また、発泡剤と混合されたエラストマーからなり、グリップの領域では発泡形成されており、ヘッドの横断面の領域ではほぼ中実に形成されているブラシが提案されている(例えば、特許文献2)。
こうした問題に対し、例えば、ハンドル部の長手方向に延在する複数の凹条部及び凸条部が設けられ、凹条部と凸条部とは、ハンドル体の幅方向に交互に並んで形成され、凹条部及び凸条部が形成された面上を被覆材が覆っている歯ブラシが提案されている(例えば、特許文献3)。特許文献3の発明によれば、滑り止め効果や操作性を高めると共に、外観上の差別化が図られている。
また、ハンドルの少なくとも握り部の一部の断面形状をヘッド部の植毛面を有する面に向けて開口する略U字形状に形成し、この開口凹部にハンドル表裏に貫通孔を設けると共に、貫通孔に充密されてハンドルの表裏に跨り、ハンドルの全外周にわたって連なる熱可塑性エラストマー材料の被覆部をハンドルに沿って備えた歯ブラシが提案されている(例えば、特許文献4)。特許文献4の発明によれば、ブラッシング圧を適切に抑制することで、使用感の向上が図られている。
そこで、本発明は、ハンドル部を太くしても、手指が滑りにくく、当たり心地に優れる歯ブラシを目的とする。
前記中間部の断面形状は、前記植毛面に略直交する方向が短径とされた略楕円形であることが好ましく、前記ハンドル部には、グリップ部と、前記グリップ部と前記ヘッド部とを接続するネック部とが形成され、前記グリップ部には、後端寄りに、相対的に断面積が大きい拡径部が形成され、前記中間部は、前記拡径部と前記ネック部との間に形成されていることが好ましい。
すなわち、本発明の歯ブラシの一態様は、ヘッド部と前記ヘッド部に延設されたハンドル部とを備えるハンドル体と、前記ヘッド部の植毛面に植設された毛束とを備え、前記ハンドル体は、硬質樹脂で構成された本体と、前記本体の少なくとも一部を被覆する、軟質樹脂で構成された被覆体とを備える歯ブラシにおいて、前記本体には、前記ハンドル体の幅方向に延びる2以上の凹条が形成され、任意の前記凹条と他の任意の前記凹条との間が中間部とされ、前記被覆体は、前記中間部と、前記の任意の凹条と、前記の他の任意の凹条とを被覆していることを特徴とする。
もしくは、前記本体には、前記ハンドル体の幅方向に延びる2以上の凹条及び中間部が設けられており、2以上の凹条は、1又は2以上の第一の凹条及び1又は2以上の第二の凹条から構成され、前記中間部の一端には、前記1又は2以上の第一の凹条が構成されており、他端には前記1又は2以上の第二の凹条が構成されており、前記被覆体は、前記中間部と、前記1又は2以上の第一の凹条と、前記1又は2以上の第二の凹条とを被覆していることを特徴とする。
また、前記中間部の断面形状は、前記植毛面に直交する方向が短径とされた楕円形であることが好ましく、前記ハンドル部には、グリップ部と、前記グリップ部と前記ヘッド部とを接続するネック部とが形成され、前記グリップ部には、後端側に、相対的に断面積が大きい拡径部が形成され、前記中間部は、前記拡径部と前記ネック部との間に形成されていることが好ましい。
略直交とは、直交から-10°~10°程度のズレを許容する表現であり、そのズレは-5°~5°であることが好ましく、-3°~3°であることがより好ましい。
本発明の歯ブラシの一態様によれば、前記中間部の断面形状は、前記植毛面に略直交する方向が短径とされた略楕円形であるため、当たり心地をより優れたものにできる。
本発明の歯ブラシの一態様によれば、前記ハンドル部には、グリップ部と、前記グリップ部と前記ヘッド部とを接続するネック部とが形成され、前記グリップ部には、後端側に、相対的に断面積が大きい拡径部が形成され、前記中間部は、前記拡径部と前記ネック部との間に形成されているため、よりボリューム感のある外観を形成しつつ、手指が滑りにくく、当たり心地に優れる。
図1~3に示すように、歯ブラシ1は、ハンドル部2と、ハンドル部2の先端に形成された平面視略矩形のヘッド部5とが形成されたハンドル体を備えるものであり、ハンドル体は、先端51から後端41にかけて、全体として長尺状のものとされている。ハンドル部2は、グリップ部4と、グリップ部4とヘッド部5との間に形成されたネック部6とを備えるものである。ハンドル体は、本体10と、本体10の一部を被覆する被覆体20とを備えるものである。略矩形とは、頂部が直線や曲線で隅切されている形状を含む概念である。
グリップ部4は、後端41からネック部6に向かい漸次拡径する拡径部42が形成され、次いで縮径して被覆体20で被覆された部分に至り、被覆体20で被覆された部分がネック部6に向かい漸次拡径し、次いで縮径する形状とされている。
ネック部6は、グリップ部4に比べて相対的に縮径した形状とされている。
また、被覆体20には、植毛面52の反対方向の面(裏面)に、裏面滑止部24が形成され、裏面滑止部24は、ハンドル体の長手方向に直交する方向に延びる複数の凸条及び凹条で構成されている。裏面滑止部24が形成された領域は、当接させた手指の滑り止め効果を高める観点から、全体として凹面状とされていることが好ましい。
図4は、本実施形態の歯ブラシ1の平面図であり、被覆体20で被覆された部分を図示したものである。図5は、本実施形態の歯ブラシ1の斜視図であり、被覆体20で被覆された部分を図示したものである。図6Aは、本体10の部分側面図であり、図6Bは、本体10の部分平面図であり、図6Cは、図6AのC-C断面図である。
図4~6に示すように、本体10における被覆体20に被覆された部分には、後端41側に、本体10の周方向、即ちハンドル体の周方向に延びて周回する2本の第一の凹条14aが形成され、2本の第一の凹条14aの間に第一の凸条15aが形成されている。
また、本体10における被覆体20に被覆された部分には、ネック部6側に、本体10の周方向に延びて周回する2本の第二の凹条14bが形成され、2本の第二の凹条14bの間に第二の凸条15bが形成されている。また、本体10は、第一の凹条14aと第二の凹条14bとの間が中間部12とされている。
このように、本体10における被覆体20で被覆される部分には、中間部12の両側に、第一の凹条14aと第一の凸条15aとで形成された第一の蛇腹部13aと、第二の凹条14bと第二の凸条15bとで形成された第二の蛇腹部13bとが形成されている。
図6A及び図6Bに示すように、中間部12は、後端41からネック部6に向かい、略同等の幅で、表面と裏面との距離(即ち、厚み)が短くなり、次いで表面と裏面との距離が長くなる形状とされている。本実施形態において、中間部12における後端41側の端部の断面形状、及び中間部12における先端51側の端部の断面形状は、略真円形とされている。
略同等とは、-10°~10°程度のズレを許容する表現であり、そのズレは-5°~5°であることが好ましい。また、略真円形とは、真円形から-10°~10°程度のズレを許容する表現であり、そのズレは-5°~5°であることが好ましい。
図6Cに示すように、中間部12の厚みが最も薄くなる部分の断面は、植毛面52に直行する方向を短径とする略楕円形とされ、厚み方向に扁平な形状とされている。
即ち、中間部12は、中間の領域において、表面及び裏面が凹面とされたものである。
中間部12がこのような形状とされていることで、ネック部6全体が、表面方向と裏面方向とにしなやかに撓み、当たり心地をより良好なものにできる。
グリップ部4の幅は、歯ブラシ1の使用性等を勘案して決定でき、例えば、5~20mmとされる。グリップ部4における最も拡幅した部分(最拡幅部)の幅W1(図1)は、好ましくは12~16mmとされ、グリップ部4において、被覆体20と拡径部42との間で、最も縮幅した部分(最縮幅部)の幅W2(図1)は、好ましくは6~12mmとされる。本実施形態において、最拡幅部の幅W1は拡径部42の最大幅である。
ネック部6の幅W3(図1)は、本体10の材質等を勘案して決定でき、例えば、3~7mmとされる。
ネック部6の厚みT3(図2)は、本体の10の材質等を勘案して決定でき、例えば、3~7mmとされる。
ヘッド部5の幅W4(図1)は、本体10の材質等を勘案して決定でき、例えば、5~15mmとされる。
ヘッド部5の厚みは、ネック部6の厚みT3と同様である。
中間部12の幅、即ち、中間部12の断面の長径r1(図6C)は、本体10の材質等を勘案して決定でき、例えば、5~10mmとされる。
中間部12の厚み、即ち、中間部12の断面の短径r2(図6C)は、本体10の材質等を勘案して決定でき、例えば、3~8mmとされる。上記下限値未満であると、ハンドル体の強度が不十分になるおそれがあり、上記上限値超であると、撓みにくく、当たり心地のさらなる向上が図れない場合がある。
第一の凹条14aの幅w1(図6B)は、本体10の材質等を勘案して決定でき、例えば、0.5~2mmとされる。
また、被覆体20を構成する軟質樹脂は、可視光に対して透明又は半透明なものであってもよいし、可視光に対して透明性を有しないものであってもよい。ただし、被覆体20を通して第一の蛇腹部13a又は第二の蛇腹部13bを視認できると、意匠性の向上が図れることから、被覆体20を構成する樹脂は、可視光に対して透明又は半透明が好ましい。
例えば、一次金型に硬質樹脂を射出して、本体10を成形し、次いで、二次金型内に本体10を設置し軟質樹脂を射出して、前記本体10に被覆部20を形成することで、ハンドル体が得られる。
次いで、得られたハンドル体の植毛面52に毛束を植設することで、歯ブラシ1が得られる。毛束を植設する方法としては、例えば、毛束を二つ折りにしその間に挟み込まれた平線を植毛穴54に打ち込むことにより毛束を植設する平線式植毛、毛束の下端を植毛部となる溶融樹脂中へ圧入して固定する熱融着法、毛束の下端を加熱して溶融塊を形成した後に金型中に溶融樹脂を注入して植毛部を成形するインモールド法等が挙げられる。
まず、親指の腹を裏面滑止部24に当接させると共に、他の指と手の平とでグリップ部4を握るように把持する、いわゆるパームグリップ法で歯ブラシ1を把持する。この際、グリップ部4には、硬質樹脂で構成された拡径部42が形成されているため、しっかりとグリップ部4を把持できる。加えて、グリップ部4には、ネック部6側に被覆体20が設けられているため、パームグリップ法で把持した際に、主に親指と人差指とが被覆体20に当接し、当接した手指が柔らかな感触を得られる。
加えて、第二の蛇腹部13bが撓むことで、親指で押圧した力がネック部6に集中せず、中間部12から先端51にわたる全体が撓み、清掃対象部への当たり心地を優れたものにできる。
さらに、本体10には中間部12よりも後端41側に第一の蛇腹部13aが形成されているため、パームグリップ法で歯ブラシ1を把持し口腔内を清掃した際に、後端41が裏面方向に変位するように、第二の蛇腹部13aが撓む。第二の蛇腹部13aが撓むことによって、中間部12に掛けられる親指の押圧力が緩和され、ブラッシング圧が適切なものとなる。
加えて、被覆体20は、第一の蛇腹部13a、第二の蛇腹部13b及び中間部12を被覆するように設けられているため、第一の蛇腹部13a又は第二の蛇腹部13bに手指が直接当たることがない。
さらに、本実施形態の歯ブラシ1は、硬質樹脂で構成された拡幅部42によりボリューム感を創出しつつ、かつ第一の蛇腹部13a又は第二の蛇腹部13bによってブラッシング圧を緩和できる。このため、柔軟性を付与するための軟質樹脂の使用箇所が、中間部12と第一の蛇腹部13aと第二の蛇腹部13bとを覆う部分のみとすることができ、低廉なコストで製造できる。
上述の実施形態では、中間部の断面形状が、後端側から先端側にかけて、略真円形、楕円形、略真円形の順で変化し、中間の領域の表面及び裏面が凹面とされているが、本発明はこれに限定されず、中間部の断面形状は、後端側から先端側にかけて略同一であってもよい。ただし、当たり心地をより良好なものとする観点から、中間部は、中間の領域の表面及び裏面が凹面、即ち、中間の領域の断面が、厚さ方向に扁平な形状であることが好ましい。
また、中間部の断面形状は、円形に限定されず、多角形であってもよい。
上述の実施形態では、第二の蛇腹部が2つの凹条を備えているが、本発明はこれに限定されず、第二の蛇腹部が3つ以上の凹条を備えていてもよい。また、中間部の先端側には、1つの凹条が形成されていてもよい。
また、上述の実施形態では、第一の蛇腹部と第二の蛇腹部とは、凹条の数が同じであるが、本発明はこれに限定されず、第一の蛇腹部の凹条の数と第二の蛇腹部の凹条の数とが異なっていてもよい。
上述の実施形態では、第二の凹条がハンドル体の周方向に周回するものとされているが、本発明はこれに限定されず、第二の凹条は、第一の凹条と同様に、ハンドル体の幅方向に延びるものであればよい。例えば、第二の凹条は、表面のみに形成されていてもよいし、裏面のみに形成されていてもよいし、表面と裏面との両面に形成され周回していなくてもよい。ただし、ハンドル部の柔軟性をより高め、当たり心地をより優れたものとする観点からは、第二の凹条は、本体の周方向に周回するものが好ましい。
また、上述の実施形態では、第一の凹条の形状と第二の凹条の形状とが同じであるが、本発明はこれに限定されず、第一の凹条の形状と第二の凹条の形状とが異なっていてもよい。
本発明の歯ブラシの一態様によれば、前記中間部の断面形状は、前記植毛面に略直交する方向が短径とされた略楕円形であるため、当たり心地をより優れたものにできるため、産業上極めて有用である。
本発明の歯ブラシの一態様によれば、前記ハンドル部には、グリップ部と、前記グリップ部と前記ヘッド部とを接続するネック部とが形成され、前記グリップ部には、後端側に、相対的に断面積が大きい拡径部が形成され、前記中間部は、前記拡径部と前記ネック部との間に形成されているため、よりボリューム感のある外観を形成しつつ、手指が滑りにくく、当たり心地に優れるため、産業上極めて有用である。

Claims (3)
- ヘッド部と前記ヘッド部に延設されたハンドル部とを備えるハンドル体と、前記ヘッド部の植毛面に植設された毛束とを備え、前記ハンドル体は、硬質樹脂で構成された本体と、前記本体の少なくとも一部を被覆する、軟質樹脂で構成された被覆体とを備える歯ブラシにおいて、
前記本体には、前記ハンドル体の幅方向に延びる2以上の凹条が形成され、任意の前記凹条と他の任意の前記凹条との間が中間部とされ、
前記被覆体は、前記中間部と、前記の任意の凹条と、前記の他の任意の凹条とを被覆していることを特徴とする歯ブラシ。 - 前記中間部の断面形状は、前記植毛面に直交する方向が短径とされた楕円形であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の歯ブラシ。
