Definitions
- the invention relates to a receptacle and mounting for an optical sighting device on a pistol, wherein the gun has an undercut groove extending transversely on the upper side of its carriage. This groove is used in a pistol with traditional aiming means for receiving the rear sight.
- optical sighting devices For fast and accurate aiming both during the day and at night, more and more optical sighting devices are used, as they are known, for example, under the name "Docter” (® from Analytic Jena AG.) They contain electronics, a power source and a screen-type field of vision. This results in their outer dimensions, so that their width usually exceeds the width of the barrel of a pistol.
- Docter ® from Analytic Jena AG.
- the optical sighting device is screwed sealingly onto a base plate - referred to below as a receptacle - which receptacle is fastened to the carriage.
- the receptacle is provided with a matching undercut bar in a gun with an undercut groove transversely on the carriage and is inserted from one side into the groove.
- the receptacle has two mounting parts, each of which has on its side facing the carriage an undercut strip for engagement in the undercut groove and on one side of the carriage partially embracing apron, wherein the carriage remote from the upper sides of the Mounting parts together form a bearing surface for the optical sighting device, and wherein each mounting part has at least one bore for the optical sighting fixing screws.
- the aprons connected to the mounting parts thus position the two mounting parts.
- the optical sighting needs then only be placed on and screwed onto the mounting hardware.
- the two mounting parts are indirectly connected to each other indirectly.
- the aprons are designed in cross-section so that they rest with their inside on the most rounded barrel and form an edgeless transition from the optical sighting device to the carriage with its outside.
- the undercut groove is preferably a well-known "dovetail groove” and the undercut bar is a dovetail bar. This groove shape is best suited for producing an accurate and largely play-free connection.
- both mounting parts are designed as diametrically opposed parts. This lowers the manufacturing costs and facilitates assembly.
- the two mounting parts on their faces facing away from the carriage upper sides pins, which engage in corresponding fitting holes on the underside of the optical sighting device. This facilitates the assembly, because already by placing the optical sighting device, the two mounting parts are fixed and can not change their position when inserting the screws. In addition, they help to achieve a particularly accurate positioning of the optical sighting device.
- the holes in the mounting hardware can be tapped, with threads extending the full depth of the holes.
- the bores have at their end facing the carriage slide extended recesses, in each of which a nut is rotatably inserted.
- the recesses are hexagonal.
- the mounting parts can also consist of a less solid material. If they are made by injection or compression in a mold, the nuts can even be formed, even encapsulated when using a plastic.

- Fig. 1 the entire body of a gun is designated 1. He is not affected by the invention. On it in a known manner, a carriage 2 is guided displaceably in the longitudinal direction. On the carriage 2, an optical sighting device 3 is fixed, wherein the connection between these components 2, 3 is made by a receptacle 4. On this the invention relates.
- the carriage 2 has in its rear region a transversely arranged undercut groove 7, here a known dovetail groove.
- the receptacle 4 has two mounting parts, a left mounting part 8 and a right mounting part 9. Its basic shape is that of an elongated plate. On its underside, the mounting parts have 8, 9 (dovetailed) undercut strips 10, 1 1 (in Fig. 2, only the bar 1 1 of the right mounting part 9 can be seen, but see Fig.4), both in the groove fit. On its outer side, the two mounting parts 8, 9 downwardly directed aprons 12, 13.
- skirts 12, 13 lie with their inner contour on a side wall 14 of the
- the outer contour 15 forms a transition from the width of the optical sighting device 3 to the carriage 2.
- the aprons 12, 13 extend here over the entire length of the mounting parts 8, 9, in cross section, their shape may be arbitrary within the scope of the invention, as long as it only somehow transversely at least a little on the carriage 2 abuts; this serves as a stop for the mounting parts 8, 9th
- Both mounting parts 8, 9 have at their top in each case at least one pin 20 (in the example shown two) and a bore 18 which extends into the respective undercut strip 10, 1 1.
- the upper sides of the two mounting parts 8, 9 form a continuous support surface 19 (see Fig. 4), on which the optical sighting device 3 rests.
- screws 16 which enforce the optical sighting device 3 and at the same time fix the two mounting parts 8, 9 in the transverse direction.
- Fig. 3 shows the optical sighting device 3 in plan view. You can see again the two screws 16 and - dashed, because invisible from above - the pins 20. Furthermore, the sections of the following three figures, Fig. 4, 5 and 6, indicated.
- the mounting part 8 (as well as the mounting part 9) is about as long as the optical sighting device 3 and that near the front and rear end, the pins 20 engage in fitting holes 21 of the optical sighting device 3.
- the bore 18 for the mounting screws 16 extends into the undercut bar 10. This either a large screwing is achieved, or it is - as in the illustrated embodiment - at the bottom of the undercut bar 0 space for a recess 22 into which a nut 17 is inserted rotationally fixed; or the nut 17 is overmolded.
- the latter is advantageous if the mounting parts 8, 9 are made of a less hard material and / or injected in a mold.
- the nuts 17 can be transformed or (with plastic) to be encapsulated.
- FIG. 5 and FIG. 6 show, in cross-section, in addition to the parts described with reference to FIG. 4, that the skirts 12, 13 of the two mounting parts 8, 9 with their outer contour 15 make the transition from the optical sighting device 3 to the carriage 2 and the mounting parts 8, 9 facing each other with their inner edges.
- the assembly of the optical sighting device 3 is quick and easy to make. Both mounting parts 8, 9 are inserted from the respective side into the dovetail-shaped groove 7 and the optical sighting device 3 is placed, optionally with the pins 20 fixing the mounting parts 8, 9 already at this stage. Finally, the screws 16 are inserted from above. Thus, the position of the optical sighting device 3 is set reproducible.
