Abstract

본 발명은 L-오르니틴 생산능이 향상된 코리네박테리움 속 미생물 및 이를 이용한 L-오르니틴의 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명은 보다 구체적으로 내재적 글루코스 디하이드로게나제(GDH)의 활성이 감소 또는 불활성화되어, L-오르니틴 생산능이 향상된 코리네박테리움 속 미생물, 상기 미생물의 제조방법 및 상기 미생물을 글루코스를 탄소원으로 사용하여 배양하고, 상기 배양물로부터 L-오르니틴을 회수하는 단계를 포함하는 L-오르니틴의 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 내재적 글루코스 디하이드로게나제 효소의 활성이 감소된 코리네박테리움 속 미생물을 이용하면, 오탄당 인산화 경로가 활성화될 뿐만 아니라, 오탄당 인산화 경로에 관여하는 효소인 G6PDH와 6PGD의 특이적 활성의 증대에 의하여 NADPH 생산수율이 증가하고, 이에 따라 상기 NADPH를 이용한 L-오르니틴의 생산수율을 향상시킬 수 있으므로, L-오르니틴의 효율적이고 경제적인 생산에 널리 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
