 硬度の低下を抑制しながら低燃費性を向上させ、耐カット性および耐屈曲疲労性にも優れたタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物およびそれを用いた空気入りタイヤを提供する。 シス-1,4結合含有量が97%以上、100℃でのムーニー粘度(ML1+4)が45以上、該ムーニー粘度に対する25℃での5質量%トルエン溶液粘度(T-cp)〔cps〕の比である(T-cp)/(ML1+4)が2.0以上のブタジエンゴム30~70質量%と他のジエン系ゴム30~70質量%とからなるゴム成分100質量部に対し、窒素吸着比表面積が20~35m/gであり、DBP吸油量が50~95cm/100gであるカーボンブラックを30~40質量部含有するタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物と、該ゴム組成物をサイドウォール(2)に使用した空気入りタイヤ。

Description

タイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物およびそれを用いた空気入りタイヤ
 本発明は、タイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物およびそれを用いた空気入りタイヤに関するものであり、詳しくは、硬度の低下を抑制しながら低燃費性を向上させ、なおかつ耐カット性および耐屈曲疲労性にも優れたタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物およびそれを用いた空気入りタイヤに関するものである。
 近年の環境意識の高まりに伴い、タイヤの低燃費性を向上させることが求められている。タイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物についても、耐破壊性の改良のみならず、低燃費性を向上させることが当業界において強く要求されている。
 タイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物の低発熱化を図るには、例えばフィラーの配合量を減少させる方法が挙げられる。しかしこのような手段では、硬度が低下し、タイヤ強度が低下してしまう。また、低分子化された末端変性ジエン系ゴムと多量の変性剤を使用し、発熱を抑える方法もあるが、この場合も、フィラーが分散しすぎて硬度が低下するという問題点があった。一方、硬度の低下を抑制するため、加硫系配合量を増加し架橋密度のアップを図ると、硬度と低発熱化は両立できるものの、逆に耐屈曲疲労性が悪化してしまう。
 なお、下記特許文献1には、特定のブタジエンゴムを含むジエン系ゴム成分に対し、特定の比表面積を有するカーボンブラックを配合する技術が開示されている。しかしながら特許文献1に記載の技術では、硬度の低下抑制;低燃費性;耐カット性;および耐屈曲疲労性を高いレベルで満足することはできない。

 したがって本発明の目的は、硬度の低下を抑制しながら低燃費性を向上させ、なおかつ耐カット性および耐屈曲疲労性にも優れたタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物およびそれを用いた空気入りタイヤを提供することにある。
 本発明者らは鋭意研究を重ねた結果、特定の特性を有するブタジエンゴムに対し、特定の窒素吸着比表面積およびDBP吸油量を有するカーボンブラックの特定量配合することにより、上記課題を解決できることを見出し、本発明を完成することができた。
 すなわち本発明は以下の通りである。
 1.シス-1,4結合含有量が97%以上であり、100℃でのムーニー粘度(ML1+4)が45以上であり、かつ、該ムーニー粘度に対する25℃での5質量%トルエン溶液粘度(T-cp)〔cps〕の比である(T-cp)/(ML1+4)が2.0以上であるブタジエンゴム30~70質量%と、他のジエン系ゴム30~70質量%とからなるゴム成分100質量部に対し、
 窒素吸着比表面積が20~35m/gであり、かつDBP吸油量が50~95cm/100gであるカーボンブラックを30~40質量部含有することを特徴とするタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物。
 2.前記ゴム組成物中において、前記ブタジエンゴムへのカーボン分配比率が40%~90%であることを特徴とする前記1に記載のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物。
 3.前記シス-1,4結合含有量が98%以上であることを特徴とする前記1に記載のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物。
 4.前記ムーニー粘度(ML1+4)が45~70であることを特徴とする前記1に記載のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物。
 5.前記(T-cp)/(ML1+4)が2.0以上3.3未満であることを特徴とする前記1に記載のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物。
 6.前記(T-cp)/(ML1+4)が2.2以上2.5未満であることを特徴とする前記5に記載のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物。
 7.前記(T-cp)/(ML1+4)が2.3以上2.5未満であることを特徴とする前記5に記載のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物。
 8.前記ゴム成分が、ブタジエンゴム30~40質量%および他のジエン系ゴム60~70質量%から構成されることを特徴とする前記1~7のいずれかに記載のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物。
 9.前記カーボンブラックの配合量が、ゴム成分100質量部に対し、32~38質量部であることを特徴とする前記1~8のいずれかに記載のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物。
 10.前記1~9のいずれかに記載のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物をサイドウォールに使用した空気入りタイヤ。
 本発明によれば、特定の特性を有するブタジエンゴムに対し、特定の窒素吸着比表面積およびDBP吸油量を有するカーボンブラックを特定量で配合したので、硬度の低下を抑制しながら低燃費性を向上させ、なおかつ耐カット性および耐屈曲疲労性にも優れたタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物およびそれを用いた空気入りタイヤを提供することができる。

 以下、本発明をさらに詳細に説明する。
 図1は、乗用車用の空気入りタイヤの一例の部分断面図である。
 図1において、空気入りタイヤは左右一対のビード部1およびサイドウォール2と、両サイドウォール2に連なるトレッド3からなり、ビード部1、1間に繊維コードが埋設されたカーカス層4が装架され、カーカス層4の端部がビードコア5およびビードフィラー6の廻りにタイヤ内側から外側に折り返されて巻き上げられている。トレッド3においては、カーカス層4の外側に、ベルト層7がタイヤ1周に亘って配置されている。また、ビード部1においてはリムに接する部分にリムクッション8が配置されている。
 以下に説明する本発明のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物は、とくにサイドウォール2に有用である。
(ブタジエンゴム)
 本発明で使用されるブタジエンゴム(BR)は、シス-1,4結合含有量が97%以上であり、100℃でのムーニー粘度(ML1+4)が45以上であり、かつ、該ムーニー粘度に対する25℃での5質量%トルエン溶液粘度(T-cp)〔cps〕の比である(T-cp)/(ML1+4)が2.0以上である必要がある(以下、特定BRという)。上記の各特性を一つでも満たさない場合、本発明の効果を奏することができない。
 シス-1,4結合含有量は、核磁気共鳴装置(NMR)を用いて測定される値であり、シス-1,4結合含有量は98%以上であることがより好ましい。
 ムーニー粘度は、JIS 6300-1に準拠して、L型ローターを用いて測定した値である。ムーニー粘度は45以上である必要があり、これにより硬度と低燃費性の両立が可能となる。ムーニー粘度は50以上であることがより好ましい。なお、ムーニー粘度の上限は特に限定されないが、好ましくは70以下である。
 前記(T-cp)/(ML1+4)は、BRのポリマー鎖の分岐度の指標になるものであり、この値が大きいほど分岐度が小さい、即ち、リニアリティが高いことを意味する。この値が2.0未満では、硬度の低下抑制;低燃費性;耐カット性;および耐屈曲疲労性をいずれも改善することができない。本発明の効果の観点から、(T-cp)/(ML1+4)の値は、2.0以上3.3未満が好ましく、2.2以上2.5未満がさらに好ましく、2.3以上2.5未満がとくに好ましい。
 ここで、トルエン溶液粘度(T-cp)は、試料ゴムをトルエンに5質量%溶液として溶解し、その溶液の25℃での粘度をキャノンフェンスケ型動粘度計により測定して得られるものである。
(他のジエン系ゴム)
 本発明で使用される他のジエン系ゴムとしては、天然ゴム(NR)、イソプレンゴム(IR)、前記特定BR以外のブタジエンゴム、スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体ゴム(SBR)、アクリロニトリル-ブタジエン共重合体ゴム(NBR)等のジエン系ゴムが挙げられる。これらは、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。また、その分子量やミクロ構造はとくに制限されず、アミン、アミド、シリル、アルコキシシリル、カルボキシル、ヒドロキシル基等で末端変性されていても、エポキシ化されていてもよい。
 本発明では、前記特定BRと他のジエン系ゴムの合計100質量部中、前記特定BRが30~70質量%および他のジエン系ゴムが30~70質量%を占める必要がある。特定BRが30質量%未満であると耐屈曲疲労性が悪化する。逆に70質量%を超えると硬度および耐カット性が悪化する。
 好ましい特定BRおよび他のジエン系ゴムの割合は、特定BRが30~40質量%、他のジエン系ゴムが60~70質量%である。
(カーボンブラック)
 本発明では、窒素吸着比表面積(NSA)が20~35m/gであり、かつDBP吸油量が50~95cm/100gであるカーボンブラックを使用する(以下、特定CBという)。
 NSAが20m/g未満では、補強性が悪化し硬度が低下する。
 NSAが35m/gを超えると、発熱性が悪化する。
 DBP吸油量が50cm/100g未満では、補強性が悪化し硬度が低下する。
 DBP吸油量が95cm/100gを超えると、発熱性が悪化する。
 また本発明では、その効果の観点から、前記特定BRへのカーボン分配比率が40%~90%であることが好ましい。
 前記カーボン分配比率は、加硫後のゴム組成物の特定BR中に、どれだけの割合で特定CBが存在しているかを測定した値である。具体的には、カーボン分配比率は、ゴム組成物を加硫し、測定片を調製し、この測定片の断面を電子顕微鏡観察し、分散した特定CBの総面積に対する、特定BR中の特定CBの面積のパーセントを求めることにより得られる。一般的にゴム組成物の電子顕微鏡像は、海島構造が確認され、特定BRは島部分を形成しているので、画像解析ソフトにより海島構造全体の特定CBの面積と島部分の特定CBの面積を算出することにより、前記カーボン分配比率を求めることができる。
 なお、前記カーボン分配比率の40%~90%を達成するためには、ゴム組成物の調製時、ジエン系ゴム、カーボンブラック、オイル、その他の配合剤の投入順序および混練時間を適宜調整すればよい。
 さらに好ましいカーボン分配比率は、50%~70%である。
 なお、窒素吸着比表面積は、JIS K6217に準じて測定される値であり、DBP吸油量は、JIS K6217に準じて測定される値である。
(充填剤)
 本発明のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物は、前記のカーボンブラック以外にも、各種充填剤を配合することができる。充填剤としてはとくに制限されず、用途により適宜選択すればよいが、例えばシリカ、クレー、タルク、炭酸カルシウム等の無機充填剤を挙げることができる。
(タイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物の配合割合)
 本発明のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物は、前記ゴム成分100質量部に対し、特定CBを30~40質量部配合することを特徴とする。
 特定CBの配合量が30質量部未満では、硬度、耐カット性および耐屈曲疲労性を改善することができない。逆に40質量部を超えると、発熱性が悪化する。
 さらに好ましい前記配合割合は、前記ゴム成分100質量部に対し、特定CBが32~38質量部である。
 本発明のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物には、前記した成分に加えて、加硫又は架橋剤、加硫又は架橋促進剤、各種オイル、老化防止剤、可塑剤などのゴム組成物に一般的に配合されている各種添加剤を配合することができ、かかる添加剤は一般的な方法で混練して組成物とし、加硫又は架橋するのに使用することができる。これらの添加剤の配合量も、本発明の目的に反しない限り、従来の一般的な配合量とすることができる。
 また本発明のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物は従来の空気入りタイヤの製造方法に従って空気入りタイヤを製造するのに使用することができる。
 以下、本発明を実施例および比較例によりさらに説明するが、本発明は下記例に制限されるものではない。
実施例1~6および比較例1~11
サンプルの調製
 表1に示す配合(質量部)において、加硫促進剤および硫黄を除く成分を1.5リットルの密閉式バンバリーミキサーで5分間混練した後、温度150℃でマスターバッチを放出し室温冷却した。その後このマスターバッチをロールにて、加硫促進剤および硫黄を加え2分間混練し、タイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物を得た。次に得られたゴム組成物を所定の金型中で160℃で20分間プレス加硫して加硫ゴム試験片を調製した。得られたゴム組成物または加硫ゴム試験片について以下に示す試験法で物性を測定した。
 硬度:JIS K6253に準拠して20℃のショアA硬度を測定した。結果は比較例1の値を100として指数で示した。指数が大きいほど硬度が高いことを示す。
 発熱性:(株)東洋精機製作所製の粘弾性スペクトロメーターを用いて、初期歪=10%、振幅=±2%、周波数=20Hzの条件下でtanδ(60℃)を測定し、この値をもって発熱性を評価した。結果は、比較例1の値を100として指数で示した。指数が低いほど、低発熱性であることを示す。
 耐カット性: JIS K6264のピコ摩耗試験に準拠して、摩耗量を測定した。結果は、比較例1の値を100として指数で示した。指数が大きいほど耐カット性が良好であることを示す。
 耐屈曲疲労性:JIS K6260に準拠して、繰り返し歪みを与え、破断した時の繰り返し回数を測定した。比較例1を100として指数で示した。指数が大きいほど対屈曲疲労性に優れることを示す。
 結果を表1に併せて示す。

*7:カーボンブラック-2(東海カーボン(株)シーストSO、NSA=42m2/g、DBP吸油量=115cm/100g)
*8:カーボンブラック-3(東海カーボン(株)シーストV、NSA=27m2/g、DBP吸油量=87cm/100g)
*9:カーボンブラック-4(キャボットジャパン社製商品名ショウブラックN326、NSA=84m2/g、DBP吸油量=76cm/100g)
*10:亜鉛華(正同化学工業(株)製酸化亜鉛3種)
*11:ステアリン酸(日油(株)製ビーズステアリン酸)
*12:オイル(昭和シェル石油(株)製エキストラクト4号S)
*13:硫黄(鶴見化学工業(株)製金華印油入微粉硫黄)
*14:加硫促進剤(大内新興化学工業(株)製ノクセラーCZ-G)
 上記の表1から明らかなように、実施例1~6で調製されたタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物は、特定の特性を有するブタジエンゴムに対し、特定の窒素吸着比表面積およびDBP吸油量を有するカーボンブラックの特定量配合したので、比較例1のゴム組成物に対し、硬度の低下を抑制しながら低燃費性を向上させ、なおかつ耐カット性および耐屈曲疲労性にも優れる。
 これに対し、比較例2は、BRの100℃でのムーニー粘度(ML1+4)および(T-cp)/(ML1+4)が本発明で規定する下限未満であり、またカーボンブラックのNSAおよびDBP吸油量が本発明で規定する上限を超えているので、硬度、発熱性、耐カット性および耐屈曲疲労性がいずれも悪化した。
 比較例3は、BRの100℃でのムーニー粘度(ML1+4)が本発明で規定する下限未満であり、またカーボンブラックのNSAおよびDBP吸油量が本発明で規定する上限を超えているので、硬度、耐カット性および耐屈曲疲労性が悪化した。
 比較例4は、BRの100℃でのムーニー粘度(ML1+4)が本発明で規定する下限未満であり、またカーボンブラックのNSAおよびDBP吸油量が本発明で規定する上限を超えているので、硬度、耐カット性および耐屈曲疲労性が悪化した。
 比較例5は、カーボンブラックは本発明で規定する範囲内のものを使用しているが、BRの100℃でのムーニー粘度(ML1+4)が本発明で規定する下限未満であり、硬度、耐カット性および耐屈曲疲労性が悪化した。
 比較例6は、カーボンブラックは規定内のものを使用しているが、BRの100℃でのムーニー粘度(ML1+4)および(T-cp)/(ML1+4)が本発明で規定する下限未満であり、硬度、発熱性、耐カット性が悪化した。
 比較例7は、特定BRを使用しているものの、カーボンブラックのNSAおよびDBP吸油量が本発明で規定する上限を超えているので、発熱性が悪化した。
 比較例8は、特定BRを使用しているものの、カーボンブラックの配合量が本発明で規定する下限未満であるので、硬度、耐カット性および耐屈曲疲労性が悪化した。
 比較例9は、特定BRを使用しているものの、カーボンブラックの配合量が本発明で規定する上限を超えているので、発熱性が悪化した。
 比較例10は、特定BRの配合量が本発明で規定する上限を超えているので、硬度および耐カット性が悪化した。
 比較例11は、特定BRの配合量が本発明で規定する下限未満であるので、耐屈曲疲労性が悪化した。
 比較例12は、特定BRを使用しているものの、カーボンブラックのNSAが本発明で規定する範囲外であるので、発熱性が悪化した。

Claims (10)

  1.  シス-1,4結合含有量が97%以上であり、100℃でのムーニー粘度(ML1+4)が45以上であり、かつ、該ムーニー粘度に対する25℃での5質量%トルエン溶液粘度(T-cp)〔cps〕の比である(T-cp)/(ML1+4)が2.0以上であるブタジエンゴム30~70質量%と、他のジエン系ゴム30~70質量%とからなるゴム成分100質量部に対し、
     窒素吸着比表面積が20~35m/gであり、かつDBP吸油量が50~95cm/100gであるカーボンブラックを30~40質量部含有することを特徴とするタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物。
  2.  前記ゴム組成物中において、前記ブタジエンゴムへのカーボン分配比率が40%~90%であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物。
  3.  前記シス-1,4結合含有量が98%以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物。
  4.  前記ムーニー粘度(ML1+4)が45~70であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物。
  5.  前記(T-cp)/(ML1+4)が2.0以上3.3未満であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物。
  6.  前記(T-cp)/(ML1+4)が2.2以上2.5未満であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物。
  7.  前記(T-cp)/(ML1+4)が2.3以上2.5未満であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物。
  8.  前記ゴム成分が、ブタジエンゴム30~40質量%および他のジエン系ゴム60~70質量%から構成されることを特徴とする請求項1~7のいずれかに記載のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物。
  9.  前記カーボンブラックの配合量が、ゴム成分100質量部に対し、32~38質量部であることを特徴とする請求項1~8のいずれかに記載のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物。
  10.  請求項1~9のいずれかに記載のタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物をサイドウォールに使用した空気入りタイヤ。
