Abstract

La présente invention concerne un matériau d'acier pourvu d'une couche de rouille, ledit matériau d'acier étant hautement résistant à la corrosion, même lorsqu'il n'est pas peint, et même dans un environnement fortement corrosif caractérisé par un air fortement chargé en sel, en particulier dans les régions côtières. De façon plus spécifique, ce matériau d'acier pourvu d'une couche de rouille peut s'obtenir en réalisant une couche de rouille sur la surface d'un matériau d'acier de base. La couche de rouille contient du niobium (Nb) et de l'étain (Sn). Le nombre d'atomes de niobium (Nb) dans la couche de rouille, en termes de maximum, est de 0,01 ou plus pour 100 atomes de fer (Fe), alors que le nombre d'atomes d'étain (Sn) qui y est contenu, en termes de maximum, est de 0,005 ou plus pour 100 atomes Fe.
