Abstract
Description
また使用者の体型等に応じてアームレストが使い易いように、かかるアームレストを使用時に上下回動の角度位置を調節可能とすることが行われている。
例えば下記特許文献1,特許文献2,特許文献3にこの種のロックスプリングを用いたアームレスト装置が開示されている。
例えば特許文献4,特許文献5にこの種のラチェット式のアームレスト装置が開示されている。
このようにすることで、アームレストの角度位置を上側位置から下側位置に変更し、調節することが可能となる。
そのためにはラチェット部材とアームレスト本体とを嵌め合せ構造として、嵌め合せ部分で物理的に力を受けるようになすのが有効であるが、この場合嵌め合せのための構造及びそのためのスペースを設けなければならず、これに伴ってラチェット機構とアームレスト本体との組付部分が大型化してしまう。
これによりアームレスト装置の所要コストを低減することができる。
加えて第2ラチェット歯をアームレスト本体とは別体の部材に形成する必要がないため、第2ラチェット歯のための部材、更にこれを締結するための締結部材の削減によって、より一層の軽量化を図ることができる。
使用者がアームレストを使用したとき、即ちアームレストに体重を持たせかけたとき、アームレスト本体には大きな荷重が加わる。従ってアームレスト本体を樹脂製とする場合、その樹脂として高強度のものを用いることとなる。
アームレスト本体に加わる荷重は、アームレスト本体に一体成形した第2ラチェット歯にもそのまま加わることとなる。
また保持機構は、押し上げられたラチェット部材を押上位置に保持するため、アームレスト本体を使用範囲上限まで持ち上げることで、その後これを下向きに自在に回動操作することができる。
このようにすれば、弾性爪を周方向の1個所にだけ設けた場合のように、弾性爪による鍔部の保持が片持状態となるのを回避して、複数個所で鍔部を安定して保持することができる。
このようにすれば、ラチェット部材に別体の部材を組み付けてこれに鍔部を設ける場合に比べて所要部品点数を少なくすることができ、また組付工数をより一層低減することができる。
更にラチェット部材を樹脂製とすることでアームレスト装置をより一層軽量化することができる。
このようにすれば、保持機構によりアームレスト本体を下向き方向に回動可能となす一方で、そのアームレスト本体が回動下限に到ったところで、自動的にラッチ機構を噛合い復帰させることができる。
更にこの樹脂製の蓋部材に弾性爪を一体成形することで、弾性爪に十分な弾性変形能を持たせることができる。
このようにすることで、アームレスト本体の基端部に形成したハウジングの内部にラチェット機構と支持軸体とを収めておくことができる。
即ち、蓋部材を単独で固定するための別途のボルト等の固定具を用いなくても、支持軸体を固定することで自動的に蓋部材を抜止状態に固定することが可能となる。

図1において、10は自動車のシートで、12は座部、14はシートバックで、16はそのシートバック14に取り付けられたアームレスト装置である。
18は、そのアームレスト装置16の主体をなすアームレストで、ここではアームレスト18は図1(A)に示すほぼ水平な回動下限と、これよりも角度α(ここでは60°)上向きに回動した図1(B)に示す使用範囲上限との間において使用時の角度位置(以下単に角度とする)が調節可能となしてある。
ここで角度調節装置22は、アームレスト本体20を回動可能に支持するとともに、上下回動方向の角度を調節する機能を有する。
尚、30は上記弾性材(ここではポリウレタン材)を成形する際の原料液の注入穴である。
そしてこのハウジング32の内部に上記の角度調節装置22が収容されている。
このハウジング32は、図3及び図4中左側の軸方向端に底部34を有している。底部34には円形の開口36が形成されている。
また図中右側の軸方向端は全体が開放形状とされている。
またハウジング32の図中右側の軸方向端の開放部は、アームレスト本体20と一体回動する蓋部材42にて閉鎖されている。
これら支持軸体38,ラチェット部材40,蓋部材42もまた樹脂製とされている。
一方蓋部材42を構成する樹脂としてポリアセタール樹脂(POM)が用いられている。
図3に示しているように、支持軸体38は軸方向の図中左端側に小径部50を有し、更にこの小径部50に続いて中径部52を、また中径部52に続いて大径のフランジ部54を有している。
その小径部50には、周方向に所定間隔ごとに位置決溝56が設けられている。
尚固定プレート48には、中心部に貫通孔60が設けられている。この貫通孔60はボルト46を挿通するためのものである。
スリップリング62は、図3に示しているように周方向所定個所で分断された形態の円形のリング状をなしており、図5に示しているようにその断面形状はコ字形状をなしていて、幅方向中間部に全周に亘る円環状の溝64が形成されている。
そしてその溝64に、ハウジング32の底部34の内周端部65が径方向に嵌入されている。
一方円形のリング状をなすラチェット部材40には、その内周面に、凸条66に対応した凹条68が周方向に所定間隔ごとに設けられており、この凹条68と凸条66とを凹凸嵌合させる状態に、ラチェット部材40が支持軸体38における中径部52に対し、回転方向に固定で軸方向に相対移動可能に外嵌状態に嵌合されている。
ここでコイルスプリング70は、図中左端側がラチェット部材40の差込孔72に差し込まれ、また右端側が支持軸体38のフランジ部54に設けられた突起74に嵌め合わされ、回転方向に位置決めされている。
また外周側には、周方向に連続した円環状をなす段違い形状の被係止部78が設けられている。
またこれに対応して、アームレスト本体20における上記底部34の内面には、この第1ラチェット歯80に対して軸方向に対向する鋸歯状の可動側の第2ラチェット歯82が全周に亘って連続して設けられている。
ここで第2ラチェット歯82は、アームレスト本体20の成形時にアームレスト本体20に一体に成形されたものである。
この実施形態では、第2ラチェット歯82と第1ラチェット歯80を備えたラチェット部材40によってラチェット機構が構成されている。
即ち、アームレスト本体20が図1(A)に示す回動下端から上向きに回動しようとするときには、図9(A)-(C)に示しているようにアームレスト本体20側に一体成形された可動側の第2ラチェット歯82が、通常は回転不能状態にある固定側の即ちラチェット部材40に形成された第1ラチェット歯80を乗り越えて移動でき(このときラチェット部材40はコイルスプリング70を弾性圧縮変形させながら支持軸体38のフランジ部54側に軸方向に後退移動する)、これによってアームレスト本体20の上向きの回動が許容される。
尚、アームレスト本体20は図5に示しているようにハウジング32の嵌合壁部84をラチェット部材40に外嵌させた状態で回動運動する。
これら突部90は先端に係合部94を有し、この係合部94が穴部92周りに係合せしめられている。
引掛爪96Aは、嵌合片96の他部と同様に支持軸体38の立上り部76の外周面に接触状態で嵌合している。
この引掛爪96Aは先端部に爪部98を有しており、図8(A)に示すようにこの爪部98を支持軸体38の上記の被係止部78に引掛けることによって、蓋部材42を支持軸体38に取り付けている。
尚この引掛爪96Aは、周方向に沿って90°毎隔たった4個所に設けられている。
この解除カム部104には、傾斜した形状のカム面106が設けられている。このカム面106は、アームレスト本体20を上向きに回動させたとき、即ちハウジング32が図4中反時計方向に回動したとき、基端から先端に向ってその回転方向とは逆方向に移行する傾斜形状の面をなしている。
これら従動カム部108にもまた、傾斜形状のカム面110が設けられている。
これらカム面110は、解除カム部104のカム面106にそれぞれ回転方向に対向する向きで且つ同じ傾斜方向,傾斜角度で設けられている。
この実施形態においては、解除カム部104と従動カム部108とで第1ラチェット歯80と第2ラチェット歯82との噛合いを解除する解除機構が構成されている。
アームレスト本体20が図1(A)に示す回動下限にあってほぼ水平位置にあるとき、図10(A)に示しているように、解除カム部104と従動カム部108とは回転方向に離隔した位置、詳しくは解除カム部104が、従動カム部108に対して図10(A)中時計方向に離隔した位置にある。
この状態でアームレスト本体20を上方に回動操作すると、解除カム部104が図10(A)中反時計方向に回動して従動カム部108に漸次接近する。
そしてラチェット部材40が軸方向に押し上げられることによって、第1ラチェット歯80と第2ラチェット歯82との噛合いが解除される。
これら弾性爪112は、それぞれ軸方向に突出する形状で設けられており、それぞれが径方向に弾性変形可能である。
また各先端部には、内向きの爪部114が設けられている。
ここにおいてラチェット部材40が押上げ位置に保持され、この状態でアームレスト本体20は自由に下向きに回動可能となる。
この蓋部材42の弾性爪112は、アームレスト本体20が図1(A)に示す回動下限にあるとき、鍔部116に形成された後述の切欠き118の位置に位置した状態にあり、この状態からアームレスト本体20が上向きに回動すると、これとともに弾性爪112も同じ方向に回動して位置移動し、そしてアームレスト本体20が使用範囲上限に至ったところで、図11(A)に示すように、弾性爪112が鍔部116の切欠き118と118との間の中間の周方向位置に位置した状態となり、その状態でラチェット部材40が押し上げられることにより、ラチェット部材40の鍔部116を弾性爪112が弾性変形を伴って保持する。
この切欠き118は、鍔部116と弾性爪112とによって押上位置に保持されたラチェット部材40に対する保持を解いて、ラチェット部材40詳しくは第1ラチェット歯80を、ハウジング32側の第2ラチェット歯82に噛合い状態に復帰させる復帰機構をなすものである。
ここにおいて第1ラチェット歯80と第2ラチェット歯82とが再び噛合い状態に復帰する。
またこの状態からアームレスト18の角度をもう少し上に角度調整したい場合には、その分だけアームレスト18を上向きに回動操作すれば良い。
これによりアームレスト装置16の所要コストを低減することができる。
加えて第2ラチェット歯82をアームレスト本体20とは別体の部材に形成する必要がないため、第2ラチェット歯82のための部材、更にこれを締結するための締結部材の削減によって、より一層の軽量化を図ることができる。
更に本実施形態では、アームレスト本体20のみならずラチェット部材40,支持軸体38,蓋部材42,スリップリング62が全て樹脂製とされているため、アームレスト装置16を従来に比べて大幅に軽量化することができる。
Claims (9)
- (イ)シートに対して基端部で上下回動可能に取り付けられるアームレスト本体と
(ロ)該アームレスト本体の回動の軸線周りに設けられた固定側の第1ラチェット歯、及び該第1ラチェット歯に対向する状態に且つ前記アームレスト本体と一体回動する状態に設けられ、該アームレスト本体の下向き回動方向には該第1ラチェット歯に噛み合って移動阻止され、上向き回動方向には該第1ラチェット歯を乗り越えて移動可能な可動側の第2ラチェット歯を有するラチェット機構と
(ハ)前記第1ラチェット歯と第2ラチェット歯とを互いに押圧する向きに付勢する付勢部材と
(ニ)該第1ラチェット歯と第2ラチェット歯とを離間させて噛合い解除する解除機構と
(ホ)該離間させた第1ラチェット歯と第2ラチェット歯とを離間状態に保持して前記アームレスト本体の下向き回動を許容する保持機構と
(へ)該保持機構による保持を解いて該第1ラチェット歯を第2ラチェット歯に接近する方向に相対移動させ、噛合い復帰させる復帰機構と
を有し、前記ラチェット機構により前記アームレスト本体の使用位置での角度位置が調節可能となしてあるアームレスト装置であって、
前記第1ラチェット歯が前記アームレスト本体とは別体のラチェット部材に形成してあるとともに、該アームレスト本体が樹脂製とされ且つ該アームレスト本体の成形時に前記第2ラチェット歯が該アームレスト本体に一体成形してあることを特徴とするアームレスト装置。 - 請求項1において、前記固定側のラチェット部材を付勢部材が前記アームレスト側の前記第2ラチェット歯の側に付勢しているとともに、
前記解除機構は、前記アームレスト本体と一体に回動し、該アームレスト本体が使用範囲上限に至ったときに前記ラチェット部材を前記付勢部材の付勢力に抗して軸方向に押し上げ、前記第1ラチェット歯を前記第2ラチェット歯から離間させる、該アームレスト本体に一体に成形された解除カム部を有しており、
前記保持機構は、該押し上げられたラチェット部材を押上位置に保持して前記アームレスト本体の使用範囲上限からの下向き回動を許容するものとなしてあることを特徴とするアームレスト装置。 - 請求項2において、前記保持機構は、前記ラチェット部材に且つ前記軸線周りに延びる形態で設けられた鍔部と、
該ラチェット部材に対して前記第2ラチェット歯とは軸方向の反対側に配置された爪部材とを有しており、
該爪部材には該ラチェット部材側に軸方向に突出した弾性爪が保持部として設けられていて、該ラチェット部材の押上げ時に該弾性爪が弾性変形して先端側の爪部に対し前記鍔部を軸方向に通過させた後、該爪部にて該鍔部を掛止し保持するものとなしてあることを特徴とするアームレスト装置。 - 請求項3において、前記弾性爪は前記鍔部に沿った周方向に複数設けられており、複数個所で該鍔部を保持するようになしてあることを特徴とするアームレスト装置。
- 請求項3,4の何れかにおいて、前記ラチェット部材が樹脂製とされて該ラチェット部材に前記第1ラチェット歯及び前記鍔部が一体成形してあることを特徴とするアームレスト装置。
- 請求項3~5の何れかにおいて、前記爪部材は前記アームレスト本体と一体に回動するものとなしてあり、
前記復帰機構は、前記鍔部に形成され、前記アームレスト本体が回動下限に至ったとき前記弾性爪の前記爪部を軸方向に通過させて該弾性爪による該鍔部の保持を解き、前記ラチェット部材を前記第2ラチェット歯側に移動可能とする切欠きを有していることを特徴とするアームレスト装置。 - 請求項3~6の何れかにおいて、前記ラチェット機構を軸方向の一端側から覆う状態で前記アームレスト本体と一体回動する状態に設けられた蓋部材が前記爪部材を成しており、且つ該蓋部材は樹脂製とされていて該蓋部材に前記弾性爪が一体成形してあることを特徴とするアームレスト装置。
- 請求項1~6の何れかにおいて、前記シートに取り付けられて前記アームレスト本体を回動可能に支持する支持軸体を有しており、前記ラチェット部材はリング状をなしていて、該ラチェット部材が該支持軸体に対して、少なくとも何れか一方が軸方向に延びる案内凸部と案内凹部との凹凸嵌合により回転方向に固定且つ軸方向に相対移動可能に組み付けてあり、
前記アームレスト本体の前記基端部には円筒状のハウジングが一体に成形してあって、該ハウジングの内部に前記支持軸体と前記ラチェット部材とが収容してあって、該ハウジングにおける軸方向を向いた底部内面に前記第2ラチェット歯が成形される一方、該ラチェット部材の該第2ラチェット歯に対向する軸方向の端面に前記第1ラチェット歯が形成してあり、
該ハウジングの該底部内面とは軸方向の反対側の開放部を、前記アームレスト本体と一体回動する樹脂製の蓋部材で閉鎖していることを特徴とするアームレスト装置。 - 請求項8において、前記蓋部材には、前記支持軸体の軸方向端部の外周面に対し径方向外方への弾性変形を伴って外嵌状態に嵌合し、且つ該支持軸体の外周面の被係止部に径方向内向きに係止する、軸方向に突出した引掛爪が設けてあり、且つ該引掛爪は、前記ハウジングの該蓋部材側の軸方向端部の内周面に非遊嵌状態に内嵌するものとなしてあることを特徴とするアームレスト装置。
