Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système d'éclairage externe (150) pour des véhicules de transport (1,21) comprenant: - au moins un premier dispositif d'éclairage complet ou partiel (5; 20,27) prévu pour assurer une fonction d'éclairage externe spécifique; - un premier circuit d'alimentation en puissance (A, 151) pour le premier dispositif d'éclairage; - une unité de commande (C_P) reliée au premier circuit d'alimentation en puissance (A,151) ou bien intégrant au moins partiellement ledit premier circuit d'alimentation en puissance; - un dispositif d'éclairage complet ou partiel (5; 20', 27') prévu pour assurer la même fonction spécifique que ledit premier dispositif d'éclairage; - un circuit d'alimentation en puissance auxiliaire (A', 151' ) pour le dispositif d'éclairage auxiliaire, au moins partiellement distinct du premier circuit d'alimentation en puissance et relié à l'unité de commande (C_P) ou au moins partiellement intégré dans cette unité de commande; - un système de vérification de fonctionnement électronique (155) fonctionnellement relié à ladite unité de commande ou intégré à cette dernière, et servant à détecter une panne/un fonctionnement défectueux du premier dispositif d'éclairage et/ou du premier circuit d'alimentation en puissance et à indiquer un état de panne/fonctionnement défectueux au poste, ledit poste étant programmé pour: - désactiver automatiquement le premier dispositif d'éclairage et le premier circuit d'alimentation en puissance; et - activer le dispositif d'éclairage auxiliaire et le circuit de puissance auxiliaire après la réception de l'indication de panne/fonctionnement défectueux.
