- the coil spring 5 has a circular cross section, one end is in contact with the second side wall portion 16 of the pocket portion 10, and the other end is in contact with the roller 4 via the spring cap 6.
- the coil spring 5 is set by being compressed between the second side wall portion 16 and the roller 4. For this reason, the roller 4 is always urged toward the first side wall 15 by the coil spring 5.
- the spring cap 6 is formed by pressing a plate member. As shown in FIGS. 4A to 4D, the spring cap 6 includes a spring contact portion 20, a pair of first pieces 21 and a second piece 22 arranged to face each other, and a pair of third pieces. It has a piece 23 and a fourth piece 24.
- 4A is a view in the direction of the arrow Z in FIG. 3
- FIG. 4B is a front view of the spring cap 6
- FIG. 4C is a sectional view taken along line IVC-IVC in FIG. 4B, and FIG.
- the spring abutting portion 20 is a portion with which the other end of the coil spring 5 abuts and has a substantially square shape.
- Each of the pieces 21 to 24 is formed by bending all portions formed radially extending from the spring contact portion 20 in four directions in the same direction.
- the pair of first pieces 21 and the second piece 22 are arranged in the radial direction, and the pair of third pieces 23 and the fourth piece 24 are arranged in the axial direction.
- a storage section 25 that stores the end of the coil spring 5 is formed by these four pieces 21 to 24.
- the storage portion 25 circumscribes the coil spring 5.
- the length A (see FIG. 4D) along the axial direction of the first piece 21 and the second piece 22 is the same.
- the length A is formed to be substantially the same as the axial length of the roller 4 within a range not exceeding the axial length of the roller 4. Therefore, there is only a minute gap between the spring cap 6 and the plate 7 and the cover 8, and therefore, the movement of the spring cap 6 in the axial direction is substantially restricted.
- the distance B1 (see FIG. 4D) between the first piece 21 and the second piece 22 and the distance B2 between the third piece 23 and the fourth piece 24 are formed to be substantially equal. Therefore, the movement of the coil spring 5 having a circular cross section in each direction is restricted by these four pieces 21 to 24.
- the lengths L1 of the first piece 21 and the second piece 22 along the longitudinal direction of the coil spring 5 are the same as each other.
- the length L2 of the third piece 23 and the fourth piece 24 along the longitudinal direction of the coil spring 5 is the same as each other and shorter than the length L1 of the first piece 21 and the second piece 22. Yes. For this reason, the one end part of the coil spring 5 can move relatively freely in the axial direction.
- the plate 7 and the cover 8 are respectively disposed on one side surface and the other side surface of the outer shaft 3 in the axial direction, and the pocket portion 10 is covered with these members.
- the plate 7 and the cover 8 prevent the roller 4 and the coil spring 5 in the pocket portion 10 from falling off the pocket portion 10.
- the plate 7 is a disk-like member having a hole 7a through which the shaft member 2 is inserted at the center, and has claws 7b at three positions on the outer periphery.
- the claw 7 b is bent in the axial direction and fitted in the mounting hole 11.
- the plate 7 is fixed to the outer shaft 3 by fitting the claw 7 b into the mounting hole 11.
- the cover 8 is a disk-shaped member having a hole 8a through which the shaft member 2 is inserted at the center.
- the outer peripheral portion is bent in the axial direction so as to cover the outer peripheral large diameter portion of the outer shaft 3 and is formed in a cylindrical shape.
- the tip of the cylindrical portion 8 b is caulked to the step portion of the outer shaft 3. With such a structure, the cover 8 is fixed to the outer shaft 3.
- the third piece 23 and the fourth piece 24 arranged side by side in the axial direction of the spring cap 6 are shorter than the first piece 21 and the second piece 22. For this reason, as shown in FIG. 5, when the roller 4 jumps out and the spring cap 6 moves to the second side wall 16 side, the first piece 21 and the second piece 22 collide with the second side wall 16. A gap G is secured between the third piece 23 and the fourth piece 24 and the second side wall portion 16. Therefore, even if the coil spring 5 is twisted and compressed in the axial direction, the end portion of the coil spring 5 is not sandwiched between the spring cap 6 and the second side wall portion 16.
- the spring cap 6 Since the spring cap 6 is composed of four independent pieces 21 to 24, the dimensions of each piece 21 to 24 can be easily set arbitrarily. Therefore, the axial length of the spring cap 6 is set to be substantially the same as the axial length of the roller 4 (the distance between the plate 7 and the cover 8) to restrict the axial movement of the spring cap 6. Can do.
- the pair of pieces 23 and 24 arranged side by side in the axial direction are shorter than the lengths of the other pairs of pieces 21 and 22. . For this reason, on the open end side of the spring cap 6, a gap in which the coil spring 5 can move in the axial direction can be secured, and the coil spring 5 is sandwiched between the spring cap 6 and the side wall portion 16 of the pocket portion 10. Can be prevented.
- the spring cap 6 Since the spring cap 6 is formed by pressing, the spring cap 6 can be formed easily and inexpensively.
- the spring cap may be composed of at least four pieces, or may be composed of more pieces.
- the spring cap and the coil spring can be manufactured easily and inexpensively, and the posture of the coil spring can be stabilized.
