Definitions
- the present invention relates to an electrolytic cell for producing sodium hypochlorite by electrolysis of brine such as brine or sea water, and more specifically, a separator for dividing the internal space of the hollow housing into a plurality of electrode chambers;
- the electrode plate is arranged side by side at regular intervals in the rectangular space portion penetrating the separator plate, and the fixing bar for fixing the separator plate to the inner wall of the housing, the inside of the housing without welding or bonding means at all
- the present invention relates to a new cell electrolytic cell configured to hold plates at regular intervals.
- NaOCl Sodium Hypochlorite
- Such sodium hypochlorite is produced by electrolyzing a natural or synthetic solution (hereinafter referred to as 'brine') mainly containing brine, sea water or sodium chloride. That is, when brine is electrolyzed by using an electrolysis device, chlorine (Cl 2 ) is generated by an oxidation reaction at an anode and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and hydrogen by a reduction reaction at a cathode. (H 2 ) gas is generated, and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and chlorine (Cl 2 ) react again to produce sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl).
- 'brine' a natural or synthetic solution
- NaOH sodium hydroxide
- H 2 hydrogen
- the apparatus for producing sodium hypochlorite using the above electrolytic reaction is generally composed of a brine supply device and an electrolytic cell for electrolyzing the brine, in the meantime in various forms to improve the efficiency of the electrolytic reaction. Has been developed.

- a through hole 7 through which hydrogen gas is discharged is formed, and a flow path 8 through which brine and sodium hypochlorite moves is formed.
- each of the electrode chambers 5 must be moved through the flow path 8 formed vertically inside the separator 4 with the brine and sodium hypochlorite. Therefore, there is a problem that the flow of the brine is not desired, and in particular, in order to fix the electrode plate 3 or the separator 4 to each other, there is a hassle of having to bond or weld them.
- the metallic materials or chemicals used at this time may be a factor that inhibits the electrolytic reaction to the brine in the future. Often there is a problem that the durability is reduced by the occurrence of corrosion or short circuit.
- the problem to be solved by the present invention is to structurally disassemble by combining each component in a manner of fitting by a simple concave-convex coupling without using a means such as welding or bonding for each component disposed in the housing And to provide an electrolytic cell for the sodium hypochlorite production is easy to assemble, and further improved electrolytic efficiency and durability because there is no fear of corrosion or short circuit.
- An electrolytic cell for producing sodium hypochlorite includes a hollow housing having an inner space extending in a longitudinal direction, and having a salt water supply port at one lower end thereof, and a salt water outlet at the other upper end thereof; It is in close contact with the inner wall of the housing and divides the inner space into a plurality of electrode chambers (C), the upper end is provided with a cutting portion for forming a hydrogen discharge passage (P) between the inner wall of the housing, the square at the center
- the space portion S of the structure is penetrated, and the electrode plate insertion grooves corresponding to each other are formed at upper and lower sides of the rectangular space portion S at regular intervals, and the edge portion is in close contact with the inner wall of the housing.
- a separator plate having a fixed bar insertion groove formed therein; An electrode plate inserted vertically into the upper and lower electrode plate insertion grooves of the separator and disposed side by side in the electrode chamber C while maintaining a constant distance from each other; A separator fixing bar inserted into the fixing bar inserting groove of the separator to fix the separator to the inner wall of the separator, wherein the separator fixing grooves are formed at positions where the separator is installed; Characterized in that consisting of.
- the electrolytic cell according to the present invention is easily disassembled and assembled structurally by combining each component disposed inside the housing by fitting by simple concave-convex coupling, and furthermore, corrosion by not using any metallic material other than the electrode plate. - electrode plate insertion grooves are formed at regular intervals above and below the space portion S of the separator, and each electrode plate is inserted side by side in each of the upper and lower electrode plate insertion grooves, and the isolation is performed. Since the plate is firmly fixed to the inner wall of the housing by the separator fixing bar again, there is an effect that the electrode plate can continuously maintain a constant interval for a long time despite the pressure of the brine of about 1 to 6 Bar.
