- 人が目視してメッセージとして認識可能でありかつ機器により認識可能な記号配列パターンに前記メッセージとは異なる付加情報を付加することにより形成される表示コードを生成する表示コード生成装置であって、
複数の升目を格子状に配列することにより形成される二次元空間における前記複数の升目のうちから1つ以上の升目を選び、この選ばれた各升目に所定の形状を有するパターン要素を配置することにより、人が目視して認識することができるメッセージを表す記号配列パターンを形成するパターン形成手段と、
前記パターン形成手段により前記記号配列パターンが形成された前記二次元空間における前記複数の升目のうち、前記記号配列パターンを形成するために、前記パターン要素が配置された升目をオンとし、前記パターン要素が配置されていない升目をオフとし、これらのオン、オフによって特定される二値情報に前記メッセージと異なる付加情報を付加する情報付加手段とを備えている表示コード生成装置。 - 読取装置により前記表示コードを読み取るときに前記読取装置と前記表示コードとの位置ずれを補正し、または前記読取装置が前記表示コードの読取方向を認識するためのガイドパターンを前記二次元空間に配置するガイドパターン形成手段を備えている請求項6に記載の表示コード生成装置。
- 前記記号配列パターンの桁数、行数または記号数を示す配列情報パターンを前記二次元空間に配置する配列情報パターン形成手段を備えている請求項6に記載の表示コード生成装置。
- 前記情報付加手段は前記二値情報に複数の付加情報を付加し、
前記二値情報に付加された各付加情報を識別するための識別情報パターンを前記二次元空間に配置する識別情報パターン形成手段を備えている請求項6に記載の表示コード生成装置。 - 前記パターン形成手段は前記記号配列パターンの色を設定し、
前記記号配列パターンの色を示す色情報パターンを前記二次元空間に配置する色情報パターン形成手段を備えている請求項6に記載の表示コード生成装置。 - 複数の升目を格子状に配列することにより形成される二次元空間における前記複数の升目のうちから1つ以上の升目を選び、この選ばれた各升目に所定の形状を有するパターン要素を配置することにより、人が目視して認識することができるメッセージを表す記号配列パターンが形成され、かつ、前記二次元空間における前記複数の升目のうち、前記記号配列パターンを形成するために、前記パターン要素が配置された升目をオンとし、前記パターン要素が配置されていない升目をオフとし、これらの升目のオン、オフによって特定される二値情報に前記メッセージと異なる付加情報が付加された表示コードを生成する表示コード生成装置により前記表示コードを生成するステップと、
前記表示コード生成装置により生成された前記表示コードにおける前記メッセージを表すテキスト情報および前記付加情報の組み合わせまたは前記二値情報および前記付加情報の組み合わせを含む組合せ情報を読取装置に設けられた記憶媒体に記憶するステップと、
前記表示コードが付された物品を人が目視し得る場所に配置した後、当該物品に付された前記表示コードを前記読取装置により読み取るステップと、
前記読取装置により、読み取った前記表示コードに対応する前記付加情報を、前記読取装置の前記記憶媒体に記憶された前記組合せ情報に基づいて特定し、この特定した前記付加情報を前記読取装置から出力するステップとを備えた情報伝達方法。
