図1は本発明方法を実施する製造装置の要部概略構成図である。本発明に係るシガレット用巻紙の製造装置は、基本的には前述したシガレット2の巻紙3となるウエブWを、図示しない繰出しリールから巻取りリールに向けて繰り出し、所定の走行経路を経てバンド層4を形成したウェブWを前記巻取りリールにて巻き取るように構成される。そしてバンド層4が形成されたウエブWは、所定幅の巻紙3として切断加工された後、図示しない巻上機に供給されてシガレットの製造に供され、これによりバンド層4を有する低延焼性のシガレット2が製造される。
尚、逆クラウン形のローラ36に代えてフラットエキスパンダーやヘリカルロール等を用いてウェブWを幅方向に伸ばし、ウェブWに生じた皺を機械的に或る程度伸ばすことも勿論可能である。

Claims (13)
- シガレット用巻紙となるウェブを走行させ、このウェブの走行過程において前記ウェブに液状の燃焼抑制剤を塗布して該ウェブの幅方向に延びる前記燃焼抑制剤のバンド層を前記ウェブの走行方向に所定の間隔を存して形成するに際して、
前記ウェブに前記燃焼抑制剤を塗布した後、該ウェブを乾燥する第1の工程と、
この第1の工程を経た前記ウェブの前記バンド層を形成した面とは反対側の面に水を塗布する第2の工程と、
この第2の工程を経た前記ウェブを、乾燥ローラと押圧ローラとの間に挟み込んで該ウェブを伸ばしながら乾燥する第3の工程と
を含むことを特徴とするシガレット用巻紙の製造方法。 - 前記第2の工程は、ローラを用いて前記第1の工程を経た前記ウェブを幅方向に伸ばした後、前記ウェブの前記バンド層を形成した面とは反対側の面の全体に、予め設定された定量の水を均一に塗布するものである請求項1に記載のシガレット用巻紙の製造方法。
- 前記ウェブを幅方向に伸ばすローラとして、逆クラウン形のローラを用いる請求項2に記載のシガレット用巻紙の製造方法。
- 前記押圧ローラは、その表面に堅さの異なる部位を、ローラ中央部からその両端部に掛けて周方向に位置変位させながらヘリカル状に設けた耐熱ゴム製のローラからなり、前記ウェブを幅方向に伸ばしながら前記乾燥ローラの表面に密着させる役割を担うものである請求項1に記載のシガレット用巻紙の製造方法。
- 前記押圧ローラは、前記ウェブの走行経路に設けられた前記乾燥ローラに対する前記ウェブの入口部と出口部とにそれぞれ対峙させて設けられるものである請求項1に記載のシガレット用巻紙の製造方法。
- 前記乾燥ローラは、前記ウェブの走行経路に沿って多段に設けられるものである請求項1に記載のシガレット用巻紙の製造方法。
- シガレット用巻紙となるウェブを走行させ、このウェブの走行過程において前記ウェブに液状の燃焼抑制剤を塗布して該ウェブの幅方向に延びる前記燃焼抑制剤のバンド層を前記ウェブの走行方向に所定の間隔を存して形成するシガレット用巻紙の製造装置において、
前記ウェブに前記燃焼抑制剤を塗布して前記バンド層を形成する燃焼抑制剤塗布機構、およびこの燃焼抑制剤塗布機構により前記ウェブに塗布された前記燃焼抑制剤を乾燥する乾燥器と、
この乾燥器の下流側に設けられて前記ウェブの前記バンド層を形成した面とは反対側の面に水を塗布する水塗工機構と、
乾燥ローラおよび押圧ローラを備え、前記水塗工機構により水が塗布された前記ウェブを前記乾燥ローラと前記押圧ローラとの間に挟み込んで該ウェブを伸ばしながら乾燥する乾燥機構と
を具備したことを特徴とするシガレット用巻紙の製造装置。 - 請求項7に記載のシガレット用巻紙の製造装置において、
更に前記水塗工機構の前段に設けられて該水塗工機構に導かれる前記ウェブを、ローラを用いて幅方向に伸ばすロール機構を備えることを特徴とするシガレット用巻紙の製造装置。 - 前記ウェブを幅方向に伸ばすローラは、逆クラウン形のものである請求項8に記載のシガレット用巻紙の製造装置。
- 前記水塗工機構は、前記ウェブの前記バンド層を形成した面とは反対側の面の全体に、予め設定された定量の水を均一に塗布するものである請求項7または8に記載のシガレット用巻紙の製造装置。
