- the band-shaped combustion inhibitor is arranged with an interval defined as a standard (hereinafter, a designed band pitch).
- a designed band pitch For example, when a cigarette-side requirement specifies that the low-flammability wrapping paper has a designed band pitch, the low-flammability wrapping paper whose band pitch is irregular or mismatched is not adopted.
- Patent Document 1 an apparatus for inspecting the width and interval of a band in which a combustion inhibitor is coated on a web as described above is known in the manufacturing process of cigarette paper (Patent Document 1). Also known is a cigarette paper manufacturing machine that inspects the width of a coating liquid applied to a web in a band shape by an inspection device and adjusts the coating amount of a combustion inhibitor that forms a band (Patent Document). 2).
- the present invention has been made in view of the situation as described above.
- the purpose of the present invention is to obtain a coated paper having a band pitch equivalent to the design band pitch in the end even if the web contracts during the manufacturing process. It is to propose a manufacturing method of the coated paper suitable for carrying out this.
- the above-mentioned object is to form a band by applying a coating liquid in the width direction of a web-like web-like web, and forming a plurality of bands with an interval in the longitudinal direction of the web.
- a method for producing paper A coating step of coating the coating liquid on the web to form the band by a coating band pitch at the time of coating narrower than a design band pitch defined as a standard in the coated paper; After the coating step, a post-processing step of performing a drying process on the web; After the post-processing step, a tension applying step of applying a tension to the web to expand the band pitch on the web so as to bring the band pitch on the web closer to the design band pitch.
- the post-processing step may further include a heel stretching process.
- tension can be applied to the web by a winding device connected to a winding reel that winds the web.
- the coated paper can be a low-flammability wrapping paper for cigarettes formed by coating a web with a combustion inhibitor in the coating step.
- the tension application step it is preferable to detect a band pitch on the web after receiving the post-processing, and to perform feedback control for adjusting the tension applied to the web based on the detection result.
- the above-described object is to provide a band in which a coating liquid is applied in the width direction of a web made of paper and has a plurality of bands formed at intervals in the longitudinal direction of the web.
- a machine paper manufacturing device Coating means for applying the coating liquid to the web with a coating band pitch at the time of coating narrower than a design band pitch defined as a standard for the coated paper; and Post-processing means for performing a drying process on the web after the coating; Tension applying means for applying tension to the web after receiving the post-treatment to expand a band pitch on the web; It can also be achieved by a coated paper manufacturing apparatus characterized by including: Note that the post-processing means may further perform a heel-stretching process.
- the coating means includes a coating apparatus provided with a gravure roller for applying the coating liquid,
- the gravure roller has a coating area processed for applying the coating liquid in a rotation direction and a non-coating area not processed, and is defined by the coating area and the non-coating area.
- the work band pitch is preferably a band pitch narrower than the design band pitch by reducing the size of the non-coating region.
- the coated paper can include a low-flammability wrapping paper for cigarettes formed by coating a web with a combustion inhibitor.
- a pitch detection means for detecting the band pitch after receiving the post-processing, and a feedback control of the tension applying means so as to determine a tension to be applied to the web based on a detection result of the pitch detection means. It is more preferable to include a control means.
- a band of a coating liquid is formed with a coating band pitch narrower than the design band pitch, and after the subsequent post-treatment, further after the treatment on the web Since a tension applying step for applying tension to the web in order to bring the band pitch close to the design band pitch is provided, a coated paper having a band pitch equivalent to the design band pitch can be obtained. Further, according to the coated paper manufacturing apparatus of the present invention, the band is formed by coating with a coating band pitch at the time of coating narrower than the design band pitch specified as a standard for the coated paper.
- the tension applying means for further applying tension to the web, and the band pitch after treatment on the web to be close to the design band pitch defined as a standard for coated paper, Since the control means for controlling the tension applying means is provided, it is possible to provide a manufacturing apparatus for manufacturing a coated paper having a band pitch equivalent to the design band pitch.
- FIG. 1 is a view showing an apparatus for producing a low-flammability wrapping paper as a coated paper production apparatus according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
- the wrapping paper manufacturing apparatus 1 travels downstream in a travel path 3 while being subjected to various processes, with a web W serving as a low-roll fired cigarette wrapping paper being unwound from the feed reel 2.
- a plurality of guide rollers 4,... are arranged in the travel path 3, and the low-flammability wrapping paper P in which a combustion inhibitor is provided in a band shape along the longitudinal direction of the web-shaped web W is wound around the travel path 3. It is wound on a take-up reel 5.
- a coating device 10 is disposed on the upstream side of the traveling path 3, and the coating apparatus 10 includes a gravure roller 12 and a pinch roller 13 disposed with a web W on the traveling path 3 interposed therebetween.
- the gravure roller 12 applies a liquid combustion inhibitor as a coating liquid on one side of the web W, that is, the surface thereof. This combustion inhibitor is applied at a predetermined interval in the running direction of the web W.
- the surface of the gravure roller 12 is engraved so that a combustion inhibitor can be applied on the roller surface 12FA along the rotational direction RD, as shown in a partially enlarged view in FIG.
- the band-shaped coating region 12WK having a concave and convex surface is repeatedly arranged at regular intervals. More specifically, in the rotation direction RD of the gravure roller 12, a coating region 12WK and a flat roller surface that is not processed (hereinafter, non-coating region 12NW) are repeatedly formed.
- the coating area 12WK has a dimension A
- the non-coating area 12NW has a dimension B. In the present specification, this (A + B) is referred to as a band pitch.
- FIG. 2 shows a band pitch of the gravure roller 12 (referred to as a band pitch during coating).
- FIG. 3 is a view showing a state of the surface of the web W when the combustion inhibitor is applied.
- a band portion BD coated with a combustion inhibitor and an uncoated portion ND are repeatedly formed on the web W.
- the band portions BD extend over the entire width direction WD of the web W, and are arranged at a predetermined interval (pitch) in the running direction LD of the web W.
- the running direction LD of the web W is parallel to the rotational direction RD of the gravure roller 12.
- the dimension A of the band part BD and the dimension B of the uncoated part ND in the running direction LD correspond to the band pitch of the gravure roller 12 shown in FIG.
- the band pitch BP immediately after coating is in accordance with the gravure roller 12, but as described above, the band pitch changes when it is wound around the take-up reel 5 as the low-flammability wrapping paper P. This will be described in detail later.
- a drying device 14 for drying the combustion inhibitor on the web W is disposed downstream of the coating device 10, and the web W after coating passes through the drying device 14.
- a plurality of hot air nozzles are provided inside the drying device 14, and these hot air nozzles inject hot air into the drying device 14. Therefore, in the process in which the web W passes through the drying device 14, the drying device 14 can dry the combustion inhibitor applied to the web W, that is, the band portion BD. In this drying process, the web W contracts.
- a stretcher 16 is disposed downstream of the drying device 14 in the traveling path 3, and the web W after drying passes through the stretcher 16.
- the crease-stretching device 16 is not particularly limited as long as it is a device that removes creases generated on the web W.
- a water coating unit (not shown) and a heater roller (rotating while applying tension and heat to the web W downstream thereof)
- it is a device that can stretch the wrinkles generated on the web W. In this way, there is a case where the wrinkle is stretched after drying, and the web W is stretched during the process of stretching the curl. Therefore, when the post-processing includes stretching, the factors that change the design band pitch are increased, so that the present invention is more preferably applied.
- the web W subjected to the above processing is made of paper and has a basis weight of, for example, 20 to 70 g / m 2. Therefore, the web W is easily stretched by receiving the processing while traveling on the travel route 3. Therefore, even if a predetermined band pitch (for example, a design band pitch) is set during coating in the running direction of the web W, it changes thereafter. And it is difficult to predict the change, and it is the actual situation that the band pitch (band pitch as a product) in the low-flammability wrapping paper P when wound on the take-up reel 5 hardly matches the design band pitch. there were.
- a predetermined band pitch for example, a design band pitch
- the wrapping paper manufacturing apparatus 1 can obtain a low-flammability wrapping paper P in which the band pitch after being subjected to post-processing is close to the designed band pitch with the following configuration.
- This wrapping paper manufacturing apparatus 1 is coated with a coating band pitch narrower than the above-described design band pitch by the coating apparatus 10 (coating means), and the drying apparatus 14 and the kneading and stretching apparatus 16 described above (post-processing means).
- a tension applying means for applying tension to the web W before being wound on the take-up reel 5 after receiving the post-treatment is provided.
- a control means (monitoring system 50 mentioned later) is comprised so that a tension
- the dimension A of the coating region 12WK of the gravure roller 12 shown in FIG. 2 is not changed ( It is preferable to reduce the dimension B of the non-coating region 12NW (same as the design band pitch).
- the band pitch provided on the gravure roller 12 employed in the coating apparatus 10 is 0.05 to 0.30 mm shorter than the design band pitch, that is, the dimension B of the non-coating region 12NW is 0.05 to 0.30 mm. It is preferable to reduce the pitch, and more preferably, the pitch is about 0.15 mm shorter than the design band pitch.
- a length measuring roller 30 for measuring the length of the web W passing therethrough is provided.
- the length measuring roller 30 is provided with a pinch roller 31 as a set, and the web W is sandwiched between the length measuring roller 30 and the pinch roller 31, and the length measuring roller 30 rotates according to the length of the moved web W.
- a rotation detection device such as a rotary encoder (not shown) is set. Therefore, the length measuring roller can confirm the traveling amount (length) of the web W moved for a predetermined time (for example, 1 second).
- An output signal of the travel amount (length) of the web W detected by the length measuring roller 30 is transmitted to a monitoring system 50 as a control means described later.
- a band sensor 35 is disposed downstream of the length measuring roller 30.
- the band sensor 35 is not particularly limited as long as it is a detection device that can detect the band BD portion provided on the moving web W, and a known one can be appropriately employed.
- As the band sensor 35 for example, a light emitting unit that irradiates the moving web W with infrared light and a light receiving unit that receives reflected light from the web W can be used. The reflected light received by the light receiving part is different between the band BD part to which the combustion inhibitor is applied and the uncoated part ND to which the combustion inhibitor is not applied. Therefore, the band sensor 35 distinguishes and detects the band BD portion and the uncoated portion ND on the moving web W.
- the band sensor 35 is set to be activated in synchronization with a predetermined time during which the length measuring roller 30 measures the web W.
- one set of the band portion BD and the uncoated portion ND is the band pitch BP. Therefore, one band pitch BP length can be obtained from the number of band pitches BP detected by the band sensor 35 and the web movement amount (length) measured by the length measuring roller 30 at that time. That is, the band pitch BP on the web W after being subjected to post-processing on the downstream side of the coating apparatus 10 and before being wound on the take-up reel 5 can be confirmed.
- the output signal from the band sensor 35 is also transmitted to the monitoring system 50, and the calculation process for obtaining the band pitch BP as described above is executed by the monitoring system 50.
- the length measuring roller 30 and the band sensor 35 constitute pitch detecting means.
- a tension detecting device 37 that detects the tension acting on the web W may be further arranged downstream of the band sensor 35.
- a tension detecting device 37 includes a spring material (not shown) and biases the roller 38 in contact with the web W in a predetermined direction (right direction in FIG. 1) with a constant pressure.
- the roller 38 can be moved to the opposite side (left side) according to its size when acting.
- the tension applied to the web W may be controlled with reference to the tension detected by the tension detector 37.
- the manufacturing apparatus 1 is provided with tension applying means for increasing the tension acting on the web W as required.
- the tension applying means is not particularly limited as long as it is an apparatus capable of appropriately applying tension to the traveling web W.
- a motor 6 used for winding the take-up reel 5 can be used as the tension applying means. That is, the tension acting on the web W can be increased by changing to the side where the winding tension by the motor 6 is increased (the winding speed is increased). By applying this tension, the band pitch of the web W is expanded.
- Driving of the motor 6 (winding device) described here is controlled by the monitoring system 50.
- the manufacturing apparatus 1 with a winding hardness adjusting device 40 that suppresses fluctuations in the winding hardness of the web W (wrapping paper) wound up by the winding reel 5.
- the winding hardness adjusting device 40 includes a touch roller 41 that presses the web W wound around the take-up reel 5 onto the take-up reel 5, for example.
- the winding hardness adjusting device 40 increases or decreases the pressing force of the touch roller 41 so as to be inversely proportional to the tension acting on the web W.
- the winding hardness adjusting device 40 capable of compensating for the above may be controlled by the monitoring system 50.
- the wrapping paper manufacturing apparatus 1 includes the monitoring system 50.
- the monitoring system 50 is, for example, a microcomputer that controls the entire apparatus, and controls the driving of the coating apparatus 10, the drying apparatus 14, the wrinkle stretching apparatus 16, and the like, and has a band pitch equivalent to the design band pitch. It functions as a control means for controlling the tension applied to the web so that a web is obtained.
- FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing basic control that is activated when the monitoring system 50 functions as the control means, and will be described with reference to FIG.
- the monitoring system 50 first executes the coating step (S1).
- the coating apparatus 10 is driven.
- the combustion inhibitor (coating liquid) is applied to the web W by the coating band pitch at the time of coating, which is narrower than the design band pitch defined as the standard for low-flammability wrapping paper.
- the band portion BD is formed (see FIGS. 2 and 3).
- the monitoring system 50 executes a post-processing step (S2). That is, after the coating step (S2), a process of adjusting the shape of the web W by performing post-processing such as a drying process of the web W by the drying apparatus 14 and a process of stretching the wrinkles generated by the curl stretching apparatus 16 is performed.
- the monitoring system 50 finally executes a tension applying step (S3).
- this tension applying step (S3) after the post-processing step (S2), in order to bring the band pitch BP after processing on the web W closer to the target design band pitch, tension is applied to the web W to This is a step of expanding the band pitch on the web.
- the above-mentioned steps explain that the processing is sequentially performed when paying attention to a predetermined portion of the web W, in actuality, since the web W is continuously processed, each step is simultaneously performed on the web W. Has been done in each part.
- the tension applying step (S3) the tension is applied to the web W while detecting the outputs of the length measuring roller 30 and the band sensor 35 (based on the detection result of the band pitch) and the actual band pit BP on the web W. It is preferable to apply feedback control. In this way, it is possible to make the band pitch on the web W closer to the design band pitch by suitably adjusting the tension according to the detected state of the web W.
- the coating band pitch is initially set to be narrower than the design band pitch, and then the tension is applied to the web W so that the low-flammability wrapping paper is taken up.
- the band pitch after the processing on the web W can be made the same as or very close to the design band pitch BP before winding in step (1).
- FIG. 5 is a flowchart illustrating an example of control that is preferably executed by the monitoring system 50 in the tension applying step (S3).
- This flowchart is started at predetermined time intervals, and the monitoring system 50 acquires detection signals from the length measuring roller and the band sensor 35 as pitch detecting means (S31), and calculates the actual band pitch RP on the web W. (S32). Then, the band pitch RP is compared with a design band pitch AP defined as a standard (S33). The monitoring system 50 determines the tension applied to the web W based on this result.
- the tension setting device informs the tension setting device. A signal is supplied (S38).
- the tension setting device here corresponds to the motor 6 of the paper reel 5 that applies tension to the web W described in FIG.
- the monitoring system 50 determines that the tension has increased (S36) and sends a signal to that effect to the tension setting device.
- Supply (S38).
- the tension setting device increases the tension applied to the web W.
- the monitoring system 50 determines that the tension is decreased (S37), and notifies the tension setting device to that effect.
- a signal is supplied (S38). In this case, the tension setting device reduces the tension applied to the web W.
- the monitoring system 50 can perform feedback control by repeatedly performing the flowchart shown in FIG. 5, and can bring the detected band pitch RP closer to the design band pitch AP. Therefore, it is possible to manufacture a low-flammability wrapping paper in which the band pitch on the web W matches or is very close to the design band pitch.
- FIG. 6 is a modification of the wrapping paper manufacturing apparatus, and includes a slit process for cutting the web W into a product width used in the cigarette manufacturing apparatus on the downstream side.
- the configuration up to the curl-stretching device 16 shown in the above-described wrapping paper manufacturing apparatus 1 in FIG. 1 is the same, but the downstream side is changed. This will be described.
- the web W that has exited the curl-stretching device 16 is cut into a product width by a terminal slitter device 60 and then wound on a take-up reel or the like for a cigarette manufacturing device.
- a case where the original web W is formed as wide as three is shown as an example, but actually, the web W is cut into about 100 to 20 webs.
- two places are cut by the slitter device 60 to obtain three cigarette wrapping paper Pa.
- a tension adjusting roller device 61, a tension applying roller device 63, and a band pitch detecting device 65 are arranged between the heel stretching device 16 and the slitter device 60 from the upstream side.
- the tension adjusting roller device 61 and the tension applying roller device 63 each function as a tension cut roller capable of cutting the web tension.
- the nip roller of the type that sandwiches the web W is described, but other forms such as a suction roller may be used.
- the tension applying roller device 63 disposed downstream of the tension adjusting roller device 61 is provided with a motor 64 and the like so that the web W is tensioned as necessary.
- the motor 64 performs the function of the motor 6 of the paper reel 5 described above, and the web W feed speed of the tension applying roller device 61 is relatively increased with respect to the web W feed speed of the tension adjusting roller device 61.
- Apply tension The magnitude of the tension can be adjusted by adjusting the relative difference.
- the band pitch detection apparatus 65 should just be a device which can detect a band pitch.
- the length measuring roller 30 and the band sensor 35 described above may be employed.
- a monitoring system controls the tension applying roller device 63 based on the band pitch detected by the band pitch detection device 65, and the detected band pitch RP is determined as the design band. It can be close to the pitch AP. Therefore, it is possible to manufacture a low-flammability wrapping paper in which the band pitch on the web W matches or is very close to the design band pitch.
- the band pitch detection device 65 is on the downstream side of the tension applying roller device 63, but the band pitch detection device 65 may be on the upstream side.
- the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various modifications can be made.
- the case where a low-flammability wrapping paper is manufactured by applying a combustion inhibitor as a coating liquid has been described as an example.
- the present invention can also be applied to industrial paper.

Abstract
